I was called a "BITCH" by the so called General Manager Carlos. My sister-in-law and I decided to go over to Freddy's because I have been bragging about their Hawaiian Delights for a while. We ordered 2 Mixers and 2 vanilla cones for our kids. We were waiting for over thirty minutes with only one car in front of us the whole time. When we reach the window, I said to the girl, "that was a long wait, the kids were going crazy" it was a comment and she replies with a very rude tone, "well, we're busy...soo?.." I brush it off and suggest doing what McDonald's does, they pull over customers with big or unfinished orders to a designated parking area so drive thru ins't stuck for too long. She rolls her eyes and turns around to tell a fellow employee, "shes mad because we are taking long." I am in shock she had no remorse to do that in front of me, so I ask for a manager. She goes and looks for her manager and tells her other employees that I am crazy because I am mad over the wait. I don't know how all this escalated to this point. I just know from start to end the drive thru window was open and they made sure to speak everything they said where I can hear it. Anyway, he comes by to tell me, "We're not McDonald's, If you don't like the wait time, then maybe you just shouldn't come back." My sister-in-law is in disbelief and I am embarrassed. I hand over my credit card to pay. I just want to be out of there. I see the Vanilla cones were melted over so.. dumb thinking on my part, I ask if they can remake them I don't want my kids to make a mess in her car with melted cones, I think, never mind, please just refund the money for the cones, I'll just take the delights." The other employee says, "Why?" The "General Manager" Carlos responds, "because she thinks we are going to spit in them" I asked for the name of the general manager after he responded in the way that he did and he said he was the G.M. This was taking forever and apparently they had no filter or even the intention to close the window as they talked crap about me. It wasn't one, two, or even three employees it was 4 at the window! I just said, "So you are the General Manager and this is how you talk to me and also how your employees talk to customers in front of you? This is a joke" He laughs and says, "yeah, ok, whatever" I show him my phone and told him I am recording this, and he stayed quiet with his face in confusion and then continued to be rude and disrespectful. I asked him again, "So you are the general manager? and he says "yes and smirks" I said OK, I hope you know this will be turned over and he said he didn't care. I said, "OK Have a good night" and he said you too, "Have a good night BITCH"!! He called me this in front of my sister-in-law who was shook with this experience, but what really made this worse to me is he said it in front of my kids and my nephew!! my daughter couldn't stop crying on our way home didn't even care for the ice cream. This was our favorite spot. The end of the week I would bring her in for a shake and cheese fries and it was a little daughter, mommy moment. Now it has been ruined by... I don't know what to call this. What a shame. If he is the manager, what a bad call on whoever promoted him and what a shame for the other employees that stood there doing the same. My only advice is don't follow that example, so many opportunities out there to just miss because of a bad choice, its not about the job its about the character. I hope the best for Carlos if that is his real name and everyone else. I hope that Freddy's Director pays closer attention. Not only does it hurt the business but it does also hurt the community. I have this video saved on my phone, I could easily hashtag it on my social media but its not worth it. Seeing my 7 year old come home crying because of what she saw and heard is enough left for me to think about, over what? I now look over the reviews and now see I am not the only one with similar experiences. Luckily, I called another location and was advised to review on yelp because Corporate reads these. I hope they do, and they look over their camera to see and hear for themselves. read more

Going inside and eating. I have had fee problems. Today we did take out. What an mistake. We got home noticed food was missing. Went back they made the missing food. Got back home. My food at that point was terrible from sitting so long. They did give me a coupon for a free meal. That's why they get 3 stars. We didn't get to eat together as a family 3 of the 4 meals had issues. We've been going to Freddy's since they've opened, and feel the customer service gets worse, and worse everytime we go, as well as not receiving correct orders. Every time we order ice cream at least one item is incorrect. We were there yesterday, and placed a to go order, 2 were icecream items, a scoop in a cup to go, and a scoop with sprinkles, and whipped cream. They handed me the plain scoop in a cone, and I said nicely to what I believe was the manger, that this is to go, she grabbed a cup, and threw the cone in really nasty, didn't check the order to see that it was to go, never gave a lid or an apology. The scoop with sprinkles literally had 10 sprinkles on it, and not even a tablespoon worth of whipped cream. I'm sorry but that really makes me mad when I pay for toppings, and they hardly give you any. This visit really struck a nerve, and will not be going back. read more

We ordered grilled chicken sandwich, steak burger, and chicken tenders. Three chicken sandwich went in the garbage. Worst ever, it tasted like burnt grease on a bun. Literally just a bun. The steak burgers were bland and had no condiments even though they were requested. The chicken tenders were almost as bad as the chicken sandwich. I am not a big fan of this place so my 3-star review might be a little harsh. No major complaints. Food quality is great, a little overpriced in my opinion. The fries and the shakes are awesome. Most of the staff are high-schoolers, but I've never ever had a problem with service. I've experienced way worse service from adults. The place was clean compared to a lot of other grimy fast food places in town. Overall, I would probably give this place a 4 or 5 star if I liked their main sandwiches enough to warrant the cost of the meal. read more

Was SOOOOOOOO happy when this place opened not far from where we live. We would have a "go to" burger place now. I had never heard of Freddy's before but we LOVE Culver's and supposedly this is similar, so we thought we'd give it a try. We won't be going back. I like my burgers, thick and juicy and what was given to me was very FLAT, oily and crispy all around the edges. Had to be some sort of mistake, right? Well, apparently, that's what this burger place is known for, their flat, crispy burgers. I couldn't even eat it. It was so gross and can't believe people actually eat these greasy, flat crispy messes. If you want a great burger and custard for dessert, drive to Culver's. Trust me, it's worth the 30 min drive. This place is hit or miss. I was so pleased when they opened so close to were I work. I have enjoyed eating here until my 5th visit. This was the first and only time I went too the drive through. I was the only one in the drive through at the time, so they were not busy. All I ordered that day was a double burger in a lettuce wrap. When I got to my location and began to eat the burger, the further I got to the middle, the saltier the thing tasted until it was like sea water. This was not the result of some over zealous fast food worker but someone with the clear intent to ruin the food. I called the manager the next day and explained the situation, the time the order was placed and what was requested on the burger. I hope that the person that vandalized my meal is removed. I can't help but wonder how far this person may be willing to go with there perversion. Freddy's has great steak burgers! If you're looking for a thick burger, this is not the place. These are thin patties, but have a ton of flavor. All versions of the burgers are good here, but I prefer the original double or the bacon and cheese double. The shoestring fries are crispy and cooked to perfection and they only get better when you get them covered in cheese sauce (get a fork). If cheesy fries aren't your thing, the fry sauce is the way to go. This tangy sauce will make almost anything you put it on taste better. My best guess is that it's the perfect combination of mayo, ketchup, and maybe a little mustard with some added spices. The custards are a great finish to a great meal. My favorite so far is the Turtle Concrete. If you're from the Midwest, this place is the closest you'll get to a Steak n' Shake inside of Arizona. read more

Frozen custard ice cream is delicious and Freddy's is the best. I love the smooth creaminess and great flavor. I would go to Freddy's JUST for the ice cream. However, they also have a terrific menu of burgers, chicken sandwiches and fish. Just have to make sure not to order too much food so you leave room for the ice cream! I love their fry dipping sauce which has a hint of horseradish if you like spicy. Their fries are cripsy little shoe strings. Sooooo good!
