10 minutes from the time I walked in the door until I was able to order. Not because it was busy, but because they had 1 person at the front counter who was busy filling buckets of Eegees for a huge phone order. Meanwhile they had 3 people at the drive thru - 1 to take money, 1 to get drinks & 1 to run food. Why it was this way is beyond me, it only takes 1 person to run a drive thru at every other Eegees location. But seeing the growing line at the counter, you'd think a coherent & competent manager would pull at least 1 person off the drive thru & help out the poor girl at the counter. Nope. Never occurred to anyone apparently. So now as I am writing this, it has been 10 minutes since I ordered, still no food. And this isn't the 1st time this sort of scenario played out, just the most recent. The last time I was in here, they ran out of bread. You're a manager at a sandwich shop & you let your restaurant run out of bread! In my book, someone should lose their job for that, but seeing the other shenanigans that go on at this location, I'm sure they let that one slide. Just another example of how Eegees restaurants keep going downhill since they were bought by corporate schmucks. This location seems to be more enthusiastic to hit bottom than others however. read more

I normally love Eegees but this one sucks! waited half an hour in line just to pay and then another 10 minutes for a small kids meal order only to have to go inside since they didn't get it right. We went inside to get our order done because we weren't sure if they were having the grape Eegee's or not as we saw on Facebook. We put our order in and put it in to go and we sat for what seemed at least a good 20 minutes until the manager called out asking what is going on with our order. The person in the back came around and said what order. Sitting there for that 20 minutes I just watched the employees who just seem to be stuck in first gear or if you want to say it walk around like zombies. Ordered large ham turkey provolone plain with mayo. Also a half ham and cheese with mayo only. Both came with lettuce and tomato. The lime eegees was like eating ice with no flavor but a green tint to the ice. We used the drive thru and it took 6 min for the girl to understand and repeat back to us. It was still wrong. First, I went and got two sandwiches, and both had NO mayo on them and was NOT asked what bread I wanted. Called and spoke to management who did offer to correct the situation. Second, went back a couple of days later and spoke to a second manager who did offer to correct the situation. When I got home with the sandwich and salad (to replace 1 sandwich), The sandwich was ok, but the salad the tomatoes had NO flavor like they were a couple of days old, the black olives tasted old, the egg on the salad was rubbery and squeaked against your teeth. This NOTHING like the EEGEE's I grew up with in TUCSON (I remember the VAN). I guess since it was sold all they worry about is the numbers. I will NOT eat at EEGEE's again. read more

I was asked if I wanted to get eegee's before heading back to Cali and I had the most out of state response ever, "what's eegee's??" I guess it's an Arizona thing! Drive thru subs paired with an eegee (frozen fruit drink) is something new to me. Ordered the Original Grinder which had ham, salami, cheese, toppings, and their house dressing. Can't go wrong with a simple on the go sub. Fries with ranch and bacon bits. The star of the show was the Pina Colada eegee's!! It was just sweet and so refreshing especially with the triple digits weather that weekend Not much to say but a quick fix sub, wraps, salad and more! with a refreshing iced cold drink in AZ weather is satisfying. read more

Always love going to Eegee's when I'm in T-town. I've stopped at this one a couple of times and the eegee's slushy (I get half lemon and half strawberry) is always wonderful and filled with real fruit. The sandwiches are okay - I think the bread is kind of whatever, but they still hit the spot. I'd probably give the sandwiches a 3, and the slushes a 5+, so I'll average it out with a 4. That said, the staff doesn't pay attention. We ordered 5 inch combos and they gave us both 12 inch sandwiches. I probably should have noticed when the charge was higher than expected but we were in kind of a hurry. So just make sure you have them repeat your order back and check your receipt before listening. read more

She helped us at the front counter and should be given a promotion! She helped me get exactly what I needed in my hour of Eegee's need! I don't need a sandwich! I don't need fries! I don't need the ranch. I nee that goodness that is Eegee's!!! Bailey was not hesitant to suggest the flavor of the month. I am a creature of habit; Strawberry/Pina Colada... But I got the flavor of the month, Watermelon! WOW, Bailey, WOW! is all I have to say! she was accommodating and helpful! I love this location as it is the one I grew up with almost 30 years ago! Eegee's is the Bomb! This sandwich chain that has always dominated Tucson and now has branched out to other Arizona domains is much more celebrated for their frosty cold signature beverage and name sake the Eegee that is served frozen (slush like or slurpee grade) only 100% better and not mechanically processed. They have a few flavors that are available year round but they have over a dozen flavors that they promote one each month. They really are a treat that is enjoyed year round and the preparation and wide variety of flavors. I just want to say that they make an outstanding product and hope they'll continue to expand throughout Arizona and the rest of theses United States. Food Poisoning alert!!! I ordered extra turkey on my grinder and got told they can make it a, "Turkey Grinder Style". Got pressured two buying Two chocholat chip cookies which I didn't want to buy and after I said no to the second one received our food through the drive through. Then Got home (which was fairly short distance) and looked at my sandwich which didn't even have the, " Grinder meat on it just a regular Turkey Sandwich with no Grinder style. And the chocolate chip cookie was hard. have been all. Night throwing up my sandwich and having the runs. I've been coming here at least once a month for a couple months now, but honestly the convenience is not worth it (it's near Target, Bookman's, etc). The sandwiches are okay, I enjoy the meatball sub and the original grinder. However, they routinely short me when it comes to ranch on ranch fries. Just the saddest "ranch fries" ever and today, the amount of ranch seemed LESS than one of the little ranch cups. Over half my fries were dry, completely untouched by ranch. And yes, I tried to eat some of the ranch covered ones with the uncovered ones, but I ended up with half a container of plain fries. This is not the case at other Eegee locations. I'll drive to one of the midtown locations next time I crave ranch fries. To reiterate, the appeal of ranch fries is the RANCH. read more

For the most part the employees are always very friendly..... however they put frozen eggs on their "freshly made" chef salads. I thought the 1st time was a mistake but my daughter told me that it's happened to her before. Then tonight my husband and daughter wanted Eegee's and asked me what I wanted and without thinking I asked for a chef salad with extra egg on it. Sure enough when I opened my salad my "hard boiled eggs" were frozen in a solid clump....... Disgusting! Why is this a thing?! I've ordered chef salads from Eegee's for over 14 years! I was looking for a new drive-thru for subs and a colleague mentioned eegee's. After living in Tucson nearly 3 years, I finally tried eegee's. Love it! The tuna sub somehow tastes fresh and clean and very tasty! Ditto the turkey sub! I like that the subs come with yummy hot French fries. Oh, and do try their delicious cookies! Imagine a tasty drive-thru meal for under $10 that isn't a burger! (With a cookie, it'll be over $10.) This explains why back in spring of 2020, the KFC on Oracle near Ina had no waiting cars, and the eegee's next-door had a huge line of cars at its drive-thru. Updated review. Guess I can understand why they're so willing to give extra sauce... the containers are half-empty!!! Such a waste of resources and the fries are completely different now and not nearly as crispy. I've heard that the Soros corporation that bought them out wants to go national. What a fucking shame that the country will only know corporate eegee's instead of the homegrown one. The brand will become as stale as the horrible replacement bread they're using now. read more

WOW, if you are up for the best french fries in Tucson, Eegee's has my vote. When I was a kid I went to Carl's Jr for the crinkle cut fries, then they stopped making them (This was a very long ago.....in the 80's). So in moving to Tucson and going to this sub shop, what a delightful discovery. They almost always offer ranch with them, but you can also order them with bacon bits n ranch, which comes in a tray; which is even better! I am a huge fan of their grinder sub. The also sell pretzels and hot dogs. The food is pretty simple and simply for me. Their star product is their Eegee's which are slushies blended with small fruit pieces, which you can order plain, with tea (Iced Teagee), or in your choice of soda (Eegee fizz). Be warned the sizes are very generous, their medium is what I consider a large and the large is way too big for my car cup holder. They always have lemon, strawberry and pina colada Eegee flavors available, plus a flavor of the month. So once you get a favorite (Watermelon for me) it is exciting when it comes around in the year. read more

Lunch on 10/2. Ordered our usual Turkey grinder and ham grinder with fries with one large eegee. For a short review - fries were soft and mushy and judging by color the fryer oil needed to be cleaned, the sandwiches had zero flavor. Over processed and dare I say slimy meat. Huge globs of Mayo on both and lettuce was brown. Pretty disgusting - we ended up throwing all the food away. Now to the drink - the first few bites (sips) not bad but as it melted there was zero fruit in it and it tasted like artificial sweetener. Unfortunately and sadly we will not be going to eegees again. New owners have cut corners in all areas and the quality of the food is not acceptable. read more

Aviod the Thornydale and Ina Rd location in Tucson, AZ at all cost!!! Do not go to this location! The food is never made correctly, they will charge you multiple times for your order and tell you your credit card is declined after they have charged it twice for one order! I called the corporate office and they said they would refund one of the THREE charges to my card for the ONE order. I doubt they do much cleaning because the food always tastes off and will sometimes make you sick. The employees and managers at the Thornydale and Ina are location need some retraining.
