Do not go to this Eegee's! It is ran by a bunch of rude and dense millennials. The food is starting to go downhill too! I went through the drive-thru and gave them a super easy order in which they couldn't get correctly. My order was two 8" grinder combo meals both on white bread, one w/o onions and both hot. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to understand! The girl that took my order couldn't repeat my order back correctly. I had her repeat it again because I felt her struggling with the order the first few times only to find out that when I received it, one was on soggy wheat bread and both had onions! The boy at the window was very unfriendly as well! If you knew me you would know that I am not a "Karen" by a long shot (I usually accept what is given me and move on) but this lack of customer service has to stop! Eegee's try and train your staff better! The last time I was here you got the order wrong as well! I use to work at an Eegee's when I was younger and you have pretty much replaced good food and good service with "swag and stickers" and a new store front. The only thing that is ok still is the fries and the eegee drinks. No wonder the original owners jumped ship! SMFH! I am so done with this place! read more

Only in Tucson can you enjoy a nice refreshing Eegee! I think all the Eegee's restaurants are amazing. Service is always friendly and courteous. The drive thru sometimes can get very long, but only cause Eegees is a popular place to go! Try to avoid the lunch and dinner rush if you are in a hurry. Everything is good here. The fries are awesome! Don't forget to ask for some ranch to go with them, cause their ranch dressing is the best! My son loves the pizza fries, rich marinara sauce and parmesan cheese on top! Their sandwiches are also pretty flavorful, not out of this world, but good enough to hit the spot. My fave is the chicken salad sandwich. Unfortunately, it is available only during the summer months. But oh well, the sandwiches aren't the reason why we keep coming back here anyway... Gotta love their Eegees! The mango tango flavor is my favorite, closely followed by the cherry pineapple! I love the little chunks of fruit you can find in it. I like that they have the different flavors of the month and cookie of the month too! If you are visiting Tucson, make sure to stop by and get an Eegee, you won't regret it! read more

Eegee's in Tucson was great. Ordered the Italian sandwich (warmed) and a few slush drinks. The sandwich was great for a drive-thru. I was surprised. The bread was soft and was not overwhelming (like Jimmy John's). I wish I ordered double meat. Next time. The slushies had real fruit in them. They stood frozen for a long time. Very tasty. I like eegee's for a quick meal. They make a decent sandwich, their fries are good, and the ranch is the best you can find. I also like their chef salad. We stopped in to this location twice this weekend between trips to Costco and Lowe's. The service was good, and they are happy to accommodate special requests. We ordered a turkey sub on wheat, grinder style to share. It was fresh and tasted great. I also got a hotdog on one visit, and it hit the spot. The fries are crispy and delicious, and don't forget the ranch. Mmm. I didn't get an eegee on this past visit, but they're a nice treat once in a while. The watermelon in July is the absolute best flavor, hands down, but they're all pretty tasty. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so I like to order a kid's size. read more

While on another day trip to Tucson, a couple of friends and I wanted something to eat. Now, I've visited Tucson dozens of times...but when my friends suggested Eegee's and I told them I'd never been, I might as well have insulted all of their mothers at the same time. Needless to say, we went to Eegee's. Whenever I go to a place for the first time, I always get a little nervous. I always feel rushed, because I assume that everybody behind me in line already knows what they want. I hate making people wait. So, I pretty much just ordered what my friends did. So, I wasn't really sure what to expect when I ordered my 8" Deluxe Grinder on Whole Wheat. (The sandwich is also available in 4", 8", 12", or even a three foot party sub.) Holy cow! One bite was all I needed to ensure that I would DEFINITELY be back to Eegee's whenever I'm in town. The sandwich has ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone cheese, pickles, black olives, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, spices, pepperoncini and eegee's house dressing. SO good! After it was already too late, I noticed that you could try the sandwich hot. Perhaps, next time, I'll give it a shot. So, the sandwich was good...really good. But whenever anyone asks you if you've ever "had an Eegee's", they aren't talking about whether or not you've had one of their many sandwiches. They're REALLY asking you if you've ever sampled one of their frozen drinks. My friends, the seasoned veterans, opted to get the flavor of the month. This particular month, that flavor was Black Raspberry. Although it sounded delicious, the Pina Colada was calling to me. At first blush, I was skeptical. I mean, this drink was orange. I'd never seen anything called "pina colada" that was orange before. But, who was I to pass judgement? I went to take a sip, but quickly realized that, if you want to drink one of these through a straw, you need to let it melt for about an hour. These things are INCREDIBLY thick. I quickly figured out why there are so many spoons. Long story short, it was delicious! A word of caution...pace yourself. Otherwise, the brain freeze might never go away! Then again, you might be a sadist...who am I to judge? In the event that you ENJOY a never ending brain freeze, there are sizes for that: kids, small, medium, large. That, and they offer party sizes that server up to FIFTY PEOPLE! I can tell why this place has been in business for so long. I know for a fact they'll be getting more of my money! read more

First off, this is not a review of the quality of the food. Eegee's food is great. I've been a long time customer, and the sandwiches, fries, etc. are great. This location (Ina and Thornydale) has, BY FAR, the worst drive thru I've ever experienced. On at least 3 occasions, with only a few cars in front of me, the wait has take at least 20-25 minutes. And, without fail, my drive thru order has been messed up (generally with something missing) that I don't realize until I'm already home. I will now gladly drive to the one on Oracle and Magee, out of my way, instead. read more

Wow amazing how one good employee can change a companies review. I was going to write a 1 star review because this place became so cheap they only were giving one ranch per order. Last time ordered 3 sandwiches and was charged for 4 extra house dressing. I even asked for a manager who not only enforced the bs move but made it seem like we were being cheap when they wanted to include only 1 house dressing for 2 12 inches and 1 8 inch. But man Ashleyee completely redeemed this place. Order a salad and 12 inch. Gave us 2 houses and 1 salad. Had her from the start cut everything into its own order because it was one dressing per order. She combined it all and gave us the dressings like a normal business. read more

I honestly cannot believe there is not a review section for the Egee's Sandwhich shop for the corner of Ina Rd and Thornydale in Northwest Tucson.. considering today has been a total fiasco with three fast-food locations on this corner, I felt I needed share. First my daughter and I took her two babies to the McDonald's on the corner and things were horrible. You can read that review in my list of reviews. We then left and went to Carl's jr. on the other corner and it too was a disaster. We left there and went to the southeast corner to Taco Bell and no one could park correctly in a single space. This caused us to go ahead and try the eegee's sandwich shop located right next to the Taco Bell on Thornydale. We walk in and noticed that everything was clean. This gave me reasons to jump for joy and I actually thanked the manager and told him about our experiences in trying to find a clean place to eat. We were very excited to try their food. My daughter has lived in Tucson for a few years now and never had the opportunity to try them. We order two 8-inch combos, one being a pastrami and one being a BLT. We added a chili cheese fry and a hot dog. I had to restate three different times that these were Ccombos and 8 inch sandwiches. There was absolutely no reason to get these orders wrong, it was not busy, it was not loud. We wait to get our food and what happens? The kid totally rung up our order wrong. The fries were missing, or drinks were missing, the correct ingredients were not on the pastrami sandwich. My daughter goes to open up her first eegee's sub sandwich and find two lousy shriveled up pieces of bacon, some paper tho quarter slices of tomato and a ton of white shredded lettuce. Our day had been such crap, she didn't even care and she just ate it and we left. So I can't give them any more than three stars. I have eaten eegee's before and I guess once or twice they might have gotten four stars from me, but to be honest, I don't really see the fascination with eegee's. In response to the previous reviewer, this eegees has been next to my hosue forever, and is great. I've been coming to this location for years, and it has been awesome every time. They have amazing french fries, their ranch fries are the best. I prefer to eat their tuna subs. I think they put relish in their tuna, and it makes it taste like heaven. I prefer the pina colada and teegee (tea+lemon eegee). Sadly, it was this location that was the scene of a shocking and gruesome murder about 10 years ago. read more

As a native Tucsonan, eegees has a special place in my heart. Stopping by for a sandwich and iced teegie on my way back to Phoenix is a must. This is why my most recent experience was double disappointing. The trainee at the drive-thru who wasn't getting enough guidance for a custom order (which was just a regular grinder without a few things) and got frustrated with me when I kept having to correct her repeat of my order, the 2 surly people at the drive through, the sandwich that had almost no meat and what was there covered only half of the bread, and the teegee that was completely liquid, all added up to a very bad customer experience. To the workers: yeah, working fast food sucks - most of us have been there - but you are being paid to ACT as if you're not hating it or the customers. I won't go to this location again. read more

Today Dianna was the person who took our order, she was so extremely unfriendly that when I approached her I asked her if everything was ok and she made a comment about my mask. (I was wearing one, which I was putting on as I was standing in line. I was easily 10ft from any other customer and there are plexiglas walls everywhere) I was not being rude or ignoring "the 'mask rule" but Dianna was clearly offended that I didn't walk in with my mask on, that she treated me so rudely I don't ever want to come back here and deal with this! I have just moved back to Tucson after living away for 38 years looking forward to visiting an Eeji's I haven't been at one for quite a long time and I was shocked when they handed me dead cold fries in the drive-through and I asked them please can I have some hot fries and she grunted and then went away from the window and came back a few minutes later I swear to God with the same bunch of fries when you stick your fingers into a bag of fries fresh out of the window of the drive-through you would expect to get a little burns no these are so damn cold and limp it's the most disgusting fries I've ever had. Today My daughter and I waited, and waited, and waited for our order to be taken. Orders of fries went by, four people were in the prep area, one guy was in front running his rear off. As we were walking out the door, the guy in the front finally came up to see us and I asked if they were closed. He said, "No I told you it would be a while." In the course of this visit I spoke to three employees including the shift manager, Each one appologized quickly followed by a reason why their actions were justified. So they were justifying why it was ok for us to wait for an eternity, and there was no remorse when we left. So we went across the street to five guys where the same size of staff did an outstanding job. Bigger order of fries, and the best BLT I've had in a while. Here's a thought, a sincere apology goes a long way to right a situation. If, on the other hand, you are going to justify your behavior/actions, start your sentence with something like "tough on you" or "it sucks to be you" or "too damned bad" because that's what you are saying in reality. read more
