I tried Freddy's for the first time after seeing the TikTok Smashburger, and the burger definitely lived up to the hype. It was juicy and flavorful. The chicken strips were disappointing. They were better than McDonald's, but not what I'd expect for the price. I paid just over $9 for three chicken strips alone, and my total for the Smashburger and strips came to $14.. At those prices, I was expecting restaurant quality food, and the chicken did not deliver. I'd go back for the Smashburger, but I'd skip the chicken strips. If Freddy's wants to charge premium prices, I think the quality should consistently match. read more

I stopped in at 9:10pm yesterday, Saturday night. I was the only customer. I had never eaten at a Freddy's but wanted to know what the big hype was. Freddy's was supposed to open a franchise in Sierra Vista but then backed out. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a peppermint shake. I dont normally order a shake with my meal but peppermint oreo sounded intriguing. I had the shake inside while charging my phone. I appreciate places that offer AC outlets at every table. My shake was good but I didnt care for the crunchy oreo bits. My chicken had bacon strips which I fed my dogs. It was otherwise tasty as well. The place was clean. The red decor dominates. I was shocked at the bill, though. My regular sized shake was over $7 and the sandwich close to $10. read more

This was the second time I visited just to check it out and brought my wife this time. I got a Freddy's Original Double and an order of Tots. First bite wasn't bad but then the saltiness became overwhelming for both the burger and the tots. My wife and I spilt the order and both of us had a hard time finishing due to a salt overload and we were scrambling for our drinks to wash out the salt taste. Usually this place is semi okay but this time was horrible. I ordered a chili cheese dog with French fries and a drink. I got home and I was missing my French fries, no cheese on the chili dog, and it looks like they legit just threw a giant slop of chili everywhere.. like chili cheese dogs aren't supposed to have every piece of bread soaked in chili. As you can see in the pictures below, I got the Double French Onion Steakburger and onion rings. There is a big difference between what they are advertising and what you get. In the end, the burger was tasty. The onion rings were average, but add in the jalapeño fry sauce and those were pretty tasty too. I got a strawberry shake and that was very good. Problem is a paid for them on the app. No way to get refund on the app. A guy who might have been a manager says he'll take care of it and refund the money. I look on my cc app and it shows up as a pending credit. All sounds good right? Today I checked and the pending credit is gone. We went thru drive thru yesterday to get dinner. First time here. First impression was there's a lot to read on the menu and the prices are on the high side. But I saw a patty melt and went for it. Added onion rings and the wife has a single burger. Since you can't eat inside we sat in the car and ate it. Patty melt has lots of onions and grease. Which I'm ok with. My cardiologist isn't but whatever. Noticed that the bread was hard, not from the griddle but like it was almost dried out. Anyways I still ate it. Not much meat on either sandwich very thin patties. UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! By far the best Freddy's I've been to. Disregard all the negative reviews! I had an issue with one of my burgers not having the veggie patty (I believe it was the impossible patty which I'm not a fan of) and instead of just remaking that burger THEY GLADLY REMADE MY ENTIRE ORDER, fries, drink and everything. I took my family out for a special Thanksgiving Eve outing. I don't usually leave reviews but they knocked my socks off with their excellent food and even better service. I'd like to give a shout out specifically to Garrett, Cole, and Issac. Our food and desserts were fresh and tasty and were delivered with a smile directly to our table. You just don't see this type of service these days. The rest of the crew was busy taking care of other customers needs and were making a difference in the lives of everyone in the store. This is only about the custard: I wanted to try frozen custard since I never have before. It was a little overpriced but it was good! I got the turtle custard and my boyfriend got the one with the gummie worms. He was upset that he only got two gummies in his custard LOL. So boyfriend and I actually ate their food yesterday. He ordered the California burger and I ordered the bacon and cheese burger. Both were meals with drinks and fries. Mind you, these are supposed to be "steak burgers". I didn't imagine it was going to be a burger that is flattened on the sides. Lol. My boyfriend described this place well: a wanna-be In-N-Out. It doesn't come close, for the record. In the last year since they've opened (and we have checked often) they have really pulled it together at this location. Consistently good service (it IS a fast food restaurant peeps) at the counter and in the drive through. Food on point. My favorite? A #1 with Freddy Sauce. And the joint is clean. They have the employees consistently doing sweeps of the dining room area making sure the tables/floors are clean and checking on how you are doing. Well done Vail Freddy's. I was down in Tucson last week for work, along with surprising my significant other's daughter on her birthday. We had a great mini-meal (Fries) along with the array of dipping sauces made available. That's a really nice switch from a few of the places we might go to, where they'll charge for extra condiment sauces in particular! The birthday girl and her Mom had shakes that were (in their words,) "Delish!" The service was friendly and quick! There is ample seating in this location, great parking, and it's easy to get to. May 1, 2020 There were a number of cars in line at the drive through, I ordered at the kiosk two original cheeseburgers and two large fries. The line moved pretty fast. The waitstaff at the window were courteous and friendly and my order was in the bag and handed to me. Probably less that 10 minutes from the time of my order. I had a 10-minute ride home. First the burgers were piled on top of each other and the fries on top of them, smashing both flat as a pancake. As soon as I removed the wrapping, I knew all was not good. There was no dressing on either bun, one only had a pickle. Tasting the first bite it was obvious that the meat patties had been precooked. They were lukewarm and greasy. The fries were of little enlightenment. They too had been precooked before my order, I am surer and were cold and not fresh. I suspicion that the staff did all this precooking to "move the line" and not keep people waiting too long. You can find at Freddy's yummy crispy salty little shoe string fries make it seem like you've eaten a ton of potatoes because you have to spend more effort picking up the strands. They also have proprietary fry sauce which seems to be ketchup mayo and secret seasonings. Their burgers are the smashed kind. Pretty delicious, but nothing innovative in the beef patty department. I thought their dirt and worms sounded great! It's their creamy custard ice cream topped with oreo crumbles and gummy worms. Wow! As much as I like having business in Rita Ranch, this is one place that ? Talk about price gouging, went through the drive thru ordered a chili cheese dog and a small fry. Almost $9.00. Hotdog $5.39, small fry $2.69. Most other places out charge no more than $3.25 for a chili cheese or Sonoran dog. And fries. Guess they are coated in gold dust. Love that they have the shoe-string type fries. But can't you find real potatoes. No fry longer than 3 inches with 95 % only 1 inch. As bad as we need good places out here, this one needs to go! Thought I'd give this place one last try. Sorry I did. Soggy onion rings. Not sure how you screw up onion rings but they did. A hamburger so dry you need a gallon of water to swallow it even though its roughly 1/8th of an inch thick. Fries so thin they get cold a minute after they're cooked and everything is overpriced. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. I can't speak for the ice cream which is probably ok. read more

I was at this location on 10205 E Old Vail Rd. , 09/01/24 @ 5:44:57 PM. I don't really like to complain, but when my total was $41.75 and the service and the food was not there, yeah you bet I will complain. I got home with my food and the Patty melt had two long hairs in between the patty and bread, one out of the two kids meal we order tots only to have all the tots over cooked when I say over cooked is like they gather what ever was floating in the oil they were burned. It's like chewing into a concrete board. That's how hard these tots were. I called the facility to speak to what we called Manager, I asked for the ladies name I said what is your name and she said "this is the manager" and I asked her a second time. What is your name so that I could address her by her name, I also wanted to write it down on my note who I spoke with and she hanged up on me without even asking what was the problem. Talk about Customer Service. This is the last time I will ever go to this location. This is not the first time that we've gotten hair on our food.
