I ordered a Sicilian slice. The best Sicilian slice I've ever had. As a yelp reviewer, I'm here to do my duty of commenting on the food that I've consumed. This was for a party (I was not the one purchasing the food). Pizza was great. Grandma slice with mozzarella, tomato and basil (see pic) is very aesthetically presented. Side Note: Of all the businesses in Whitestone, this one is of one of the very few who are against the idea of leaving a tiny counter-top donation can to support Whitestone's very own 100% FREE Volunteer Ambulance Service. Its very sad and unfortunate that they do not support their own community's free EMS station (which I might add is just ONE block away from them). I think this says a lot about their character and the kind of people they really are. While they have good pizza, myself and many (MANY) others will continue to boycott this specific business and give our money to other local pizza shops who do support. read more

great food i love the extra cheesy pickle pizza and just be careful there is a 6 foot tall springbonnie suit that walks around and abducts children. i think 6 kids went missing here before. like in 85'. there was a full investigation of the pizza place. in the backroom there were strange jars of purple glowing liquid on a counter. there were animatronic suits in the comer of the room and they smelled horrible. not to mention they were covered in blood and sounded like they were whispering some stuff... they think that some kids were murdered there. by some guy named william afton. they place doesnt have good history but the food is still good even though the cheese gets stuck in my braces. read more

Gave Freddy's Pizzeria a try after seeing it on a barstool sports review. Their regular slice got a 7.3 out of 10. Me personally I think it should be high 5s or low 6s. Maybe bc it could of been a little to hot but their was to much "flop" and all the cheese slide off, not to mention it was very oily. I just had the eggplant Parmesan at Freddy's on the plate was very old disgusting looking. The only thing that was good. Is the pasta that came with it? I told the manager or one of the owners I said this is horrible. He didn't offer to change it. Nothing I showed him. I said look at this food looks horrible test horrible. whould you eat that The pizza is good over there I'm not gonna say no, but anything else I will not take any dishes everything is old. I'm in town visiting my mom and she's been working all day so suggested we order a pizza for dinner. We placed an order of a large cheese pizza, a small Caesar salad, and chicken tenders over 1.5 HOURS ago and are still waiting. I called to check on the order and the man who answered did not even apologize. He said the delivery guy is on the way, but fifteen minutes later and still no pizza. How can it take that long to make three simple items?! My mom has vowed to never order from here again. The food finally arrived and the delivery guy explained he was the only one working today. All these years and I have never tried this place. The pizza was nice and crispy and their penne a la vodka pasta dish was huge and flavorful. My daughter dropped her first slice of pizza on the floor. So my friend gave my daughter her slice of pizza. I turned around and she dropped another slice. The guys working there were so empathetic and considerate they gave Liv another slice for free. This time I watched her eating the pizza like a hawk. It's the little gestures like this that makes a store awesome. And for that I would come here every time we do a playdate around the corner. read more

I stopped by this pizzeria for a slice years ago. I had lived in the neighborhood for well over ten years and was going by for the first time. The server looked at me, picked out the smallest slice in the pie, then gave that to me. He must have thought I was an out of town one time visitor. Freddy's is an amazing pizza shop. I work in the area and all of my coworkers swear for this spot. I wanted pizza so I decided to give this place a try. I walked in and was immediately greeted nicely. There was a man taking orders and also making the pizzas. He explained the prices and specials to me and I decided to go with two regular slices just to test the waters. Each slice was $2.75 and I got two which came up to $5.50. I was drawn by the 40 year old signage and the Berch Augustine paintings on the windows... It had to be good. My white slice had a great crust to it and the cheeses ended up blending together nicely. Then the sausage and pepperoni fried calzone was awesome. I've only had a fried calzone at House of Pizza and Calzone in Brooklyn, so this got me excited. Ordering both in one shot is not normally advisable with an aging stomach, but it's not often I'm in this neighborhood, so I had to make it count. And it was good. 5-stars is a very high rating. Is it better than Amore? No, I don't think so... but then again Amore doesn't do all the white slices and the other stuff. Is it best of the best? No, but probably best on the block. And it's a dying breed, so they deserve max stars. read more

I discovered this place by accident some 5 years ago. My daughter & I fell in love with the Penne a la Vodka. We took my wife and we fell in love with the Chicken Caesar Salad (not just because the ingredients are ultra-fresh, but their dressing is to die for). We actually fell in love with everything we tried thereafter... I know this must sound ridiculous (if you've never tried Freddy's), but one of the reasons that I moved back to Queens from Manhattan was to be closer to this gem of a place. I hope they stay open for decades to come, and keep their quality at least the same, as I'd be blown away and almost devastated if they were to do otherwise. Even the guys who work there, right down to the delivery guy, are awesome. We just discovered how excellent the sauteed broccoli is, too! LONG LIVE FREDDY'S PIZZERIA! We ordered a 'large' pie, half pepperoni, half chicken cutlet on top. My initial thoughts were that it arrived hot, and looked much smaller than most large pizzas usually were. The cheese kept sliding off of the pizza slices which was annoying but I guess that could happen with any place. The pepperoni side was devoured before I got a chance to try it. The chicken side was okay. The cutlet was crispy although a bit bland. The sauce was fairly good. Compared to the other places I've tried in the area, it may be the new go to pizza place. read more

Great old time pizzeria sign- not too often one can see a prime example of color cube tile lettering in this area of Queens. A popular spot for pizza sign enthusiasts indeed! Great sign, great slice. Its worth the local hype! Seriously. recently got into a Pizza phase..let me check out the old places my mother fed us with on Pizza Friday's. The best day of the week! Greek mothers use pizza Friday to get us to fast meat, and it generally works out well for all. Freddy's was low on my list. I'm anti-hype I figured it's location in the Village, and the decade of Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat in there beckoning us led to hype. Plus being around so long they must slack off...In my years I've seen cash cow landmark locations of restaurants slack; who cares we own the building, low overhead, etc. I realize now some Pizza places use the canned sauce; you'll know it cause it tastes like every other canned sauce joint. Freddy's is definitely making their own. They have held their own against decades of competition and Brick Oven the last decade. It's NOT resting on reputation the pizza kicks ass. Believe it. My fave is Chicken Parm dinner with the pasta. One hell of a meal. I'm gonna go for the veal Parm soon. I haven't had a veal Parm in many years. read more
