My burger was good. The patty was hand made and nicely seasoned. The fries were fresh and lightly seasoned. My husband had the margarita flatbread, which he liked. It was crisp though he sort of wished the cheese had melted a bit more (it was fine, imo). The waiter was reasonably prompt, though definitely not pushy or hovering. Service undoubtedly has its ups and downs in a vacation town and this guy, while a bit inexperienced, took his job seriously. The settling was meh. We were seated in a lonely table at the edge of the dance floor. We just lacked having a spotlight thrown on us. The Barbie theme was well done. For 2 years we tried to get a shirt but since we go early in the year they hadn't come in yet. Since we went later this year we were in luck. Well as it turns out I was given a tank top after paying for the shirt. Didn't actually notice till we got home because it was put right into my bag. Sadly disappointed. Last night was my first experience at Freddie's, and I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied to say the least. My aunt and I waited in line and payed the $5 cover and we asked if it was okay that we didn't have a reservation and we were told that "It was okay" and the bouncer preceded to appoint us at a table. We were then approached by another couple, the bouncer, and the owner saying that we were sitting in a reserved spot. The conversation grew hostile particularly with the bouncer and the owner towards us. We completely understood a simple mistake of being seated wrongfully but we were also accused of sneaking in which was farthest from the truth. I was quite disappointed because I've always walked past this bar for years...and was so excited to experience it since turning 21. I have never eaten there, but I have been going there for three years for the Drag show. It is always fantastic. From the specialty cocktails to the Queens themselves. The show is always a very good time, I usually have no voice the next day from all the screaming and laughter. The service is great, having to maneuver around the crowd and the show can not be easy. The ambiance is all fun, with the Barbie collection that lines the top of the back room, to the games that are available to play when there isn't a show, I'm assuming. I used to come here all the time to enjoy a queer atmosphere with my partner but the management and staff turn around is insane. We have seen staff touched inappropriately with nothing done about it, servers and bartenders have been rude and hard to track down, and it gets so packed during drag or any event that it is hard to leave or even move. I have seen countless people get sick as well from being over served. The food is fine but is pricey for bar food. It has been a let down time and time again and now it is labeled as a straight-friendly queer bar? Will not be returning and we are locals which is a shame since we are queer and want to be going to queer establishments. Please do better with staff and service. Thank you. read more

My boyfriend and I came here because it looked lively and cute from the outside and weren't disappointed! Ryan Williamson was live and blew us away with the vocals and personality. We wished we'd come later so we could see him and the drag show, but it was a spur of the moment meal. I got the nacho daddy nachos which were massive and exactly what I craved, as well as The Barbie cocktail which had great flavor. My boyfriend got the pepperoni flatbread and he loved it. When we go back we will absolutely look at the events for the day in order to optimize our experience. In a vacation town finding a nice bar that makes you feel comfortable and welcome, and more than just a bill is a miracle. I found this bar on my walk home from another bar that was disappointingly overcrowded, filled with not great karaoke, and mixed drinks with rail liquor despite up charging for premium. Freddie's was the opposite with beautiful cocktails, amazing karaoke, welcoming staff and patrons, and space to enjoy your drink and/or dance. I am not quite sure what was going on Saturday!?!? What would possess the owners of this establishment, being a bar with ADULTS, to have children entertain? Yes, children! They were 15 years old and younger. One with his shirt open and another running through the crowd trying to get men and woman that are drinking to dance with him?? I have to say that we left the establishment because it was NOT APPROPRIATE to have a children doing this? They should be singing in a 21 and under venue ... not with drinking adults... I give the children credit, but they really aren't that good to be playing on a Saturday night, AGAIN with drinking adults while being 15 years old and younger!! It was extremely inappropriate and left the patrons feeling uncomfortable ... Think before you do this again.... it's gross! read more

Our group had such a great time at Freddie's ! The door person was super friendly and kind. We decided to get a table and each ordered a cocktail. The Mai Tai I ordered was delicious. Our waiter was also friendly. Also they have an amazing collection of Barbie's on display! After our first cocktail we danced with a friendly group of people! This restaurant seemed like it would be a fun and queer friendly place but it was extremely anti black. They threatened to call the cops on us because we were upset about a receipt issue. The server cut us off while ordering and was inattentive. We ordered cocktails thinking they were a part of the happy hour menu. The server did not let us know and when the bill came back we asked why it was so expensive, she immediately told us she'd send over the manager. The manager came over and talked to us like we were dumb about how the menu is exactly written- the happy hour says mixed drinks and the menu says cocktails. She was extremely short and was not truly listening to our issues. I've never spoken to a manager who didn't even try to understand the issue. They were all extremely deceptive about what we were paying for. And when we got frustrated we decided to just pay for it and leave and the manager threatened to call the cops on us. read more

We've been going to Freddie's since he opened in Rehoboth Beach and this place has become a must when we're in town. We've always had excellent service both at the bar and at a table. Great food (highly recommend the Freddie's burger & fries). We've tried almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. Entertainment is great with karaoke, drag on Friday nights AND a Sunday morning drag brunch with an all you can eat buffet that includes a free Mimosa or Bloody Mary. Saturday nights they have a DJ if you're looking for a place to dance and some munchies. A fun & welcoming vibe, very friendly. Horrible service and poor quality food. We waited 45 minutes for breakfast that consisted of toast that was sitting out forever and obviously frozen hashbrowns that were reheated in tons of oil. We've been wanting to try out this Freddie's location ever since we heard one was opening in Rehoboth. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Although the staff was pleasant, the service was a huge let-down. When the two of us arrived, only two other tables were seated, and there was a handful of customers at the bar. We placed our orders and waited over 45 minutes for our appetizers to arrive. The first appetizer coming out a full 15 minutes before the second. After waiting another 20 minutes, one of our entrées arrived only to realize the kitchen/staff had forgotten to put the Caesar dressing on the salad. Once we alerted our waiter, he was very apologetic and brought out the dressing. After several minutes, my dinner guest's entrée, Salmon Noodles Soup, finally arrived. The presentation was great; however, the noodles were under-cooked, chewy and grainy. We were underwhelmed to say the least. The manager later came by to inquire about our meal, and mentioned that they were understaffed in the kitchen. We appreciated her letting us know, but it would have been much better and more professional if either she or the staff would have informed us when we were first seated. In my opinion, it's extremely important to manage your customer's expectations up front. This way, we would have known our food was going to take a while coming out, and we probably would have bought drinks to pass the time while we waited. I wish them all the best. read more

OMG. Why do gay people go to gay bars and restaurants just because they are gay. I went there after calling ahead for 20 guys. There were no other people in the place. Only 2 servers. Ordered simple Berger and fries because the owner said the fries were great. WRONG. Ordered burger medium and after 25 minutes waiting the burger was crunchy black on the outside and the fries were totally junk. Never going there again. No need to. Give me a straight bar/restaurant anytime over a gay place with really horrible food. Stupid junk. I liked it when it was The Pond. Better service, better food. What a fantastic night! My husband and I got there early for drinks and the drag show. The martinis my husband ordered were the best he has had all week (up, not dirty!). The waitress was attentive and friendly. The ladies in the drag show were amazing! The entire crowd was warm, welcoming and having a blast. We waved our arms and tired to get someone's attention but were ignored. We left 3.00 on the table for the soda and left. The server was so wrapped up in a conversation in the kitchen door she could not be bothered to help us. There were only 3 tables of people in the entire restaurant. This is the bar to frequent when in Rehobeth Beach. My husband and I just popped in for a quick bite. We were blown away by the friendly staff, decor,food and drinks. Our burgers were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed lunch so much we came back for dinner and the drag show that night. The performers were highly entertaining.
