I went there on a Monday evening to place a cake order for a birthday cake! The bakery sections was empty and there was no one close by to notice me waiting. After waiting for at least 10 mins, I went to the deli department and told them I needed help with a cake and they said they will send someone over. After another 10 mins of waiting, a lady who has no idea what she is doing comes over, takes my name and phone number on a piece of paper and tells me " I don't work in this department and I don't know how to fill a cake order form out, so I will have someone call you tomorrow". I was like ok No problem. except I never received a call and when I called them two days later, they never found that paper. I had to explain to the baker all the details over again! Such a Bad experience, and I will NEVER be ordering any Cakes from Fred Meyer Bakery in the future! read more

Fred Meyers had always been a great go to store but tonight I found a whole new appreciation for them. Code Adam call rang out from the overhead for a little girl gone missing. I have never seen so many people rush out from the break room and employees all over run to the doors. As a mother of three my heart sank to see such concern. Pretty good organic section for a store that isn't organic.. Like the selection of teas and the seafood was pretty good from here.. Only thing that was kinda weird was that the store was super duper cold.. I'm talking North Pole cold. I don't know if the ac was broken or what but I was shopping with goosebumps the whole time.. I've seen this Fred Meyer change a lot over the years. It still has a good feel and a great selection of items. The pricing is not excessive for how convenient it is to shop and it has one of the best prices on gas around. It also has plenty of staff and they are always willing to help. This is one of my favorite Fred Meyers and even if I moved out of the area I would probably swing by on my way to Mt. Hood. read more

I love this Fred Meyer, it's always really busy, but much nicer than other locations. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because of the iffy customer service. Everyone kinda seems upset and unhappy to be there. Overall a good place to shop though, and they always have good produce! read more

I have ordered from Fred Meyers deli multiple times and never had any problems....until I ordered from the Burnside location in Gresham. I ordered a bunch of platters for my nephews graduation and none of them were ready nor did I get some of the sandwiches vegetarian option as I requested online. I figured I would give them another chance due to the fact that it was graduation season and they were really busy. I ordered 2 platters for my daughters birthday party and when my husband went to pick them up, they were also not ready. I ordered online two days before the event. I called the Manager and let her know, she told me that she would walk over to the deli section and find out what is going on. My husband said she never did, but the lady at the deli making our sandwiches yelled at him "tell your wife we are working on it, you will get a free platter!" So they made him wait another 30 minutes to make us another platter and give it to us for free of food that we didn't need and ended up throwing it out. Never again, not at the Burnside location. They need different leadership. read more

I thought the Fred was all about customer service. I tried to return a defective item today, and yeah I had it a few months, but I take pristine care of my stuff. What upsets me most is that the electronics department where I used to work gave me a B.S. story about why they wouldn't do an exchange for me. I've worked in the service industry a long time. I hate being lied to because they don't want to do something. At least have the decency to be honest with me. read more

I typically love These stores. I've never had an issue but today must be a full moon or something. I got a pair of boots for Christmas and called to see if I they he a certain size I wanted to try. Both the woodvillage and gresham store were incredibly put out by my request for them to look for the boots. The woodvillage store just automatically told me they didn't carry the specific brand. The Gresham store tried tot ell me Fred Meyer doesn't carry what I'm looking for. Interesting because that's where my cousin bought them and the tag on the box says Fred Meyer. I asked if she could look through a computer system to find them. She informed me she would have to go to the stock room to do that. I told her I would wait. Finally after getting on the computer she found that Freddie's does indeed carry the and, shocking, and that the division store had plenty. I called the Division store and the girl was incredibly sweet and helpful. I hate to have to search around for helpful sales associates but at least Division seems to have one on staff today. read more

Fred Meyer officially lost a customer today. I bought boots for my daughter for Christmas, however I got the wrong size. She went there to exchange for a smaller size. She didn't take a receipt with her, however she only wanted a different size. They told her that they could not exchange for a different size without the receipt. They were only willing to give her a store gift card for the lowest sales price in the last 90 days. She only wants a different size of the exact same thing!! Will never shop here again! read more
