Walgreens no longer prints register receipts for store purchases. E-mail may have problems at times and is not a valid substitute for a hard copy receipt. There are all kinds of critical reviews of this new policy on the Internet. From the Walgreens parking lot, I can see Safeway Pharmacy, Fred Meyer Pharmacy, and a Walmart Pharmacy is just around the corner. They all offer printed receipts. read more

Long wait times, over staffed, awful hold times sometimes taking 45+ minutes with "one caller ahead," random closings for a few days with no forewarning, and since for some they aren't allowed to reorder medication until it's a few days out it can really screw with you. The locations well location is fine though good parking. It's also the only pharmacy that has consistently friendly staff. Still though this location just sucks. read more

This location is a model of inefficiency. At 3:00 in the afternoon the drive-thru and in-store lines for the pharmacy are ridiculously long. This along with the reduction is hours of operation have compelled me to have my prescriptions filled elsewhere. I can see why so many Walgreen's locations have closed and are slated to close. This place is always understaffed and slow to do anything. I have to call EVERY month to make sure that they have my meds and it's a 2hr hold with a 70% chance I'll have to call back because they hung up. It can take all day to get through to a person. Meds filled the day before are missing today? Employees also voted to put ADHD people in labor camps so maybe not the best place to get your meds or to have your medical history. read more

I understand it's the day after Christmas(which is apparently a good reason for not doing your job, and catching attitude with sick individuals who are just desperately trying to feel better)but when you've had my prescription "processing" for 6 HOURS, and I've called 4 times in that span, and was hung up on EVERY TIME, not even a person, the call just wouldn't go through and it was just dropped. So when I finally show up in person, and it's STILL NOT DONE, and your excuse is it's the day after Christmas. NO. Since when does a pharmacy being busy, mean it stops answering its phone calls to help their clients?!?! Like completely unreachable! Who does that?! This is not the first time the location has failed me, but it will be the last. WORST PHARMACY I've ever experienced! Every time. read more

Well. My husband and I have been waiting for over an hour to get our 3 vaccines. We made appointments and read and completed all the paperwork. We showed our insurance cards several times, answered all the questions AGAIN that we were asked and completed online. I might as well have a clueless third grader working on my request. Ridiculous!!! Last time Walgreens. Last time EVER. Oh. Now, after waiting for an hour and a half the pharmacists tells us they only have one Covid-19 vaccine. This review is for the pharmacy. their service is terrible compared to a Fred Meyer or Safeway pharmacy. First, both times I called I was put on hold for hours and just gave up and drove to the store both times. Second, the situation was that my inhaler wasn't ready. trying to get information on this was like pulling teeth and it's pretty clear they don't care about you. The pharmacist gave me my spacer without the inhaler and then laughed at me? Honestly guys I'm not a Karen. I'm a kind person and I am able to communicate, have worked in the service industry myself, so it's not like I was being difficult/rude and deserved this. I've been sick for the last 2 months and I wanted to write this review to encourage people to call in their prescription somewhere else because the last thing you wanna do when you're already sick is deal with people who are rude and unhelpful. I called the Safeway in Troutdale after my interaction with the Walgreens pharmacist, they answered on the third ring and suggested ways that I could possibly get my inhaler sooner. read more

The lady working the pharmacy window needs some customer service training. Called and they said 1/2 hour. Get there one hour later and wait in line for 20 minutes Get to window and she says to come inside and wait cause they are just now working on it. When I ask her why I was told to come 1/2 hour ago she snaps and tells me there are 180 other people who put their prescription in 24 hours ago. And she says it like a 15 year old brat. It escalates and she takes my money and says "bye" without giving me my prescription. I will never again fill a prescription at this location. Two stars is a well earned rating for this joke of a pharmacy. A pharmacy tech called me to let me know that that they had only 170 (out of the total fill of 180) in stock. After spend over a half hour in line, I discovered that the pharmacy tech mixed things up and they only had 10 in stock. Meanwhile I have a regular refill that I pick up and three days ago, the Walgreens robot called me to say that my two refills would be ready Tuesday (tomorrow). I called the pharmacy to see if the 170 tabs that remained on my order would be available for me to pick up. That's when I spoke to either the same tech as I did earlier, or perhaps a different one. Hard to tell because both of them hadn't seen the ball since kickoff. She told me that my scrip that the robot told me would be available on Tuesday, would actually be available on Wednesday. She also told me the 170 tablet shortage would be available "soon", but she couldn't define Soon. She then transferred me to the pharmacist who told me that all of the medications were in stock and the pharmacist told me that they would be filled this evening. The pharmacist understands customer service, the technician has no clue. Maybe she's getting high on her own supply, maybe she's just brain dead. read more

Denying legit medications for no reason. I'm with a pain clinic, the pain clinic gives me meds for baseline pain. I asked them before surgery if I can get additional meds from the surgeon, and they said yes. I covered all my bases, made sure I was legal, made sure everybody knows everything... So I went to Walgreens and they won't fill my prescription because they already filled the baseline. Not only that, but they kept my surgery prescription and put it in the DEA file, so now I can't get it back. I'm sure we'll sort this out with the doctors, but I'm done with Walgreens for good, and you should be too. Because this is not the first time they've done this to me, and there are many others. They are doing this to patients in an increasing manner because they got a $80M dollar fine in Florida, and now they're pissing their pants, denying and picking apart everything they can. I'd stay away from Walgreens because there is a very high chance of being labeled a seeker; go ahead and google them, or watch youtube videos, you'll see that I'm not the only one. Walgreens called me and said there was miscommunication, (they forgot to tell the pain clinic I had surgery) so now I have to go back and pick up the medicine even though I just picked up the antibiotics and the pain meds were supposed to be together. A bunch of incompetent people working there, overworked, undereducated, scared and oppressed by the DEA. What happened to the good old days where they ask about your family, asked how you're doing and truly cared about your well being...I miss my last pharmacy; good thing I'm moving. read more

It's frustrating to wait in line at the drive through only to have them put up a card saying no pharmacist is on duty when you finally get to the window. Some of us don't get more than a brief lunch break, and our business doesn't shut down when we go to lunch. I don't blame the employees, but the decision to manage things this way. They used to be open 24 hours. No more. Now they just turn you away because it's lunch time? Why wouldn't I just use a mail order service, then? The point was I wanted to support local business and get better service. If I can't get that, why should I shop here? I can get treated badly anywhere, and save money, too. In truth, I like this store, I like the people, but making me wait an entire lunch break in line and then turning me away is really frustrating. read more

I keep coming in for photos pick ups, updates about to store deliveries, or detailed photo questions, and they're always kind, patient and hard working and calm even when it's slammed and they're low staffed. read more

What can I say about Walgreens that no one knows already. I think the store is boring. There's nothing exciting! I go there if I absolutely have to. The store feels cheap to me, but the prices are expensive, go figure... It gives me comfort to know that the one close to us is open 24 hours. Another nice thing is that they have plenty of parking and charging stations for electric cars. I don't have one yet, but I am sure I will be needing one those charging stations in the future. read more

Their pharmacy dept is rude!!! I waited in the drive through line for 10 minutes to get my sick kids antibiotic. When I pulled up to get my sons order the dude put the closed for lunch sign in the window and walked away. Meanwhile the inside counter was still helping people. I am SO irritated!!! Don't look right at me and put your stupid little sign up and walk away. I would like to thank the pharmacy staff for all their hard work. I heard that another walgreens location nearby is closing down and everyone there is trying to transfer to this pharmacy. So now their workload has doubled or tripled in size. I came through drive thru today and the technician explained to me what was going on and that it was only her and the pharmacist working. There's no extra help given to them so once we pull up to the window, that's when they'll print out our prescription and fill it for us right then and there. She also said there's over 400 prescriptions to fill and that they are days behind. Her eyes were watery as she was explaining everything and said people have been so rude to her and the rest of the staff. She apologized and wished they could give everyone their medications on time. I just want to say this whole interaction really pulled at my heartstrings. This girl looks like she could be my daughter's age and I really feel for her. Thank you pharmacists and technicians for showing up to work and trying your best to help us despite the conditions. I hope it gets better and that your company is able to provide you with the extra help. read more

Ghetto location. Poorly staffed and not in very good condition. The local 24 hour Walgreen's pharmacy closed so I was forced to come here. Only pharmacy where I had to check my backpack and not take it with me so I could study while waiting for my prescription was ready. Very nice & helpful pharmacist but the pharmacy seemed very lightly staffed and I was lucky there weren't any other late night customers or it might have been slow. I'll be looking for a nicer 24 hour pharmacy so I don't have to come here again. read more

I really hate writing this review, but I have to speak up. This pharmacy can't get my prescriptions right to save their life. I normally love the fact that a pharmacy takes care of contacting the Dr. for prescriptions, until I didn't receive one because they forgot to ask for it. I found that out after I became so concerned, I contacted the Dr. myself. (I had contacted pharmacy and told over and over not to worry as they were waiting for Doctor.) They also can't get my prescriptions right when they get them. I have had the same 90 day allotment prescriptions for years, but for some reason this pharmacy wants to make it 30 days, even telling me they can be 90!! I now always double check before I leave counter. Now comes the reason for my poor review. This pill count mixup happened again. I pointed this out, was told no problem and technician gladly changed my pill count to reflect correct amount, but she also removed the last 2 refills I had before my next doctor visit. I'm done. While I'm contacting my doctor, AGAIN, to continue my prescriptions, I'll also be giving him a new location where I'll get them. read more

Okay so i come in around 1130 pm to get my photo taken. And the guy at the desk doesn't even greet me, doesn't say anything. So i was just like hey yo can i get my photo taken and he goes like well i have to do some stuff first so come back around 1230 so i was like okay... he doesn't even say anything else and just leaves. So i come back around 1215 and the guy was just hanging around. He sees me in line in front of the desk; makes eye contact and doesn't even bother to come over and help us. And now it's been 20 minutes of me standing in line and the guy is no where to be found. Soooooo just get him fired or something jeez. read more

I know that one pharmacist at a drive-up has such a disadvantage of single-handedly preparing safely and well the prescription as well as: answering the telephone with doctors and customers needing refills or new prescriptions who may be calling to learn if the product is available; taking money for the customer at the window as well as speaking with another customer at a machine across the parking lot and passing the prepared prescription through the window or sending it out to the "teller-type" machine. So patience is a virture and "a must" for the customer at the drive-up window. What a MIRACULOUS job these pharmacists do for the customers and particularly a customer who is in pain and cannot walk without a walker or may use a wheelchair. I am thankful for Walgreens and hope we are giving them proper understanding and showing our gratitude too. read more

I was instructed by my doctor to call the pharmacy to get some information on a drug manufacturer. The young pharmacy tech that answered the phone was incredibly rude, he did not ask for my information and expected me to know all the answers instead of looking up my history. He cut me off at every sentence and had the most apathetic, sassy tone. When I asked him to spell the name of the manufacturer of a drug, that I was simply trying to get info on for my doctor he heaved a huge sigh and in an exasperated tone spelled it out for me. I called to get two questions answered, 1. what manufacturer they used to fill my rx and 2. could they offer a different manufacturer and which one so that I could tell me doctor. He told me " you need to take more responsibility for your medications and keep track of what you've used and do your research on manufacturers. I CAN'T HELP YOU" wow. I was stunned. I simply called at the request of my doctor to get the answer to those two questions. I prefer to rely on the healthcare professionals like the pharmacist and my doctor to prescribe meds and if they decide one manufacturer or brand isn't working for me it's not up to me to 'google' what is out there and self-prescribe. Which is what this kid was basically telling me to do. As an office manager of a healthcare facility, I would have fired him if I overheard him speak this way to someone over the phone in our office. Walgreens, please hire people that can exude common courtesy at the bare minimum, and helpful, caring service, even in a busy setting. There is no excuse for a 'not my job, I can't help you' attitude. I called 06/03/2019 at 4:30pm if you would like to review who was working that day, and hopefully retrain your employee's on how to appropriately handle customer questions. Even if I couldn't be helped, a friendly, patient reply will always go farther than the condescending, negative attitude. The happy ending to this story is: I called safeway pharmacy, they were super helpful, kind, patient and answered every single question and offered caring advice. So, now I have a different pharmacy. I called 2 plus hours to arriving and even though my prescription was ready I was made to wait an additional 15 plus minutes. For what reason I don't know. The pharmacy here is pretty amazing. They always have my prescription in stock, which is not an easy thing, as most pharmacies don't have it or have enough. The pharmacist (sorry couldn't see his name) is on top of things and remembers you if you've been there before. It looks like they have all walks of life and personality types that go in there and they were professional and courteous to each person they helped. It's a pretty busy pharmacy and sometimes that results in not-so-friendly of staff. Not the case at this Walgreens pharmacy. Thanks for the great service! read more

I normally don't use this pharmacy, but I had to pick up a document the other day regarding my immunizations. The pharmacist was super sweet, but I'm giving a 1 star due to the other woman working there. She had red hair and was extremely rude and dismissive when I made a comment about how I had received some conflicting information from the Gladstone location compared to the Oregon City Walgreens. I couldn't believe the sour look on her face or her rude tone of voice. I've worked in customer service for a long time... I know that we all have bad days (I'm assuming she was, because I did nothing to warrant her negative reaction) but it's important to never take it out on your customer. read more

Went in with a lady minute printing order. Great experience from the online help, telephone customer service, and then Kelsey on site got it ready on time and it was perfect.
