BE CAREFUL if using the Gresham store for any watch repairs!!!! They send it out to someone and the communication is terrible!!! I dropped off 2 watches for minor repairs on 4/11/26. They wrote 4/30/26 as Date Promised on the receipt. Called them mid-May when I didn't hear anything from them - cost for repair, timeframe they'd be done, etc. I had to call back because no one there at the time knew the answer. Finally, someone said the "watch guy" had them, was repairing them and they'd let me know when they were done. TODAY IS JUNE 3rd and I still had not heard back from them, so I CALLED THEM AGAIN. Come to find out, the repaired watches are there ready for pick up, but no one knows when they arrived. read more

Stopped in to do my grocery shopping today. I have not been here for months because of the unavailable Mobility scooters. I was really excited walking to the door seeing four of them parked right inside. When I got in, I found all four were out of use. While I was there, the person was bringing one in from the parking lot and it died right outside the doors. Fred Meyer Tennant offered to go to the other end of the store and grab one from that door. I was very appreciative to thank them. While I was shopping, it started beeping. And while I was in line and died waiting. I was able to limp it to my car by turning it on and off again and I would get a few more feet. It seems to be a regular occurrence with Fred Meyre and I've asked that they assigned the Card personnel The responsibility to have them plugged in at all times when they are in the cart area. Apparently this didn't happen. I cannot shop without one and I am really sad that I have to go elsewhere now again. Maybe I'll give it a few more buttons and give it a shot. read more

Good ol' Gresham Fred Meyers. I have memories of when McDonald's and Cinnabon was inside, oh and Hollywood video, too! This Fred Meyers have gone through a lot of different layout and changes, All for the better. I know some may not like the current layout - but this really is a one stop shop store. It's also HUGE. I know it's one of the larger stores in the district too. Usually lots of good in stock items. This store also has a Fred Meyer gas station in the same parking lot (fun fact- my father helped open the gas station up in the early 2000's). There's a Starbucks kiosk inside, and a on-point; some stores located on the outside: There is a 5 guys, and a famous nails (been there for 20+ years), T-Mobile, and a few others too. It's crazy seeing some familiar faces and that there are associates that have been here since the 80's- What dedication and loyalty and really tells you about the location / employer. Good place to grab a few things or do a large shopping trip. The deli is also good too for a quick lunch. read more

Went back and was admonished by a heavy set, middle aged, cashier woman with glasses. She scoffed and informed that I didn't have to put 6 2 quart of containers of milk to check out. When I irritatingly respond with "what's that?" She remained silent. Also, My eggs broke on the conveyer belt and she once again scolded me like a child when for placing the eggs incorrectly. This review is just for the pharmacy. If I could give 0 starts I would!I HATE dealing with this pharmacy. They are losing prescription faxes or something because my last 3 prescriptions have been lost!! I've been stuck playing phone tag between them and the dr office. They are very rude on the phone when you correct them about spelling names or are just asking for an update on a refill before you have to go to work. It is so frustrating and causes my orders to be delayed by days. Seriously considering where to have all my prescriptions filled now because this is a consistent problem with them and unnecessary. Still having the same problems of prescriptions being phoned in on Friday and by Sunday they still aren't ready... at least their customer service is better for now. read more

I don't know what I could add here to everyone's comments! They have moved things around in this store. They also added a lot of a vegan, natural, and organic items. That includes vegan cheese and vegan meat (that sounds funny). Customer service here for the most part is excellent except when you go to the actual customer service counter. It's like you're in a different planet. The only reason that they didn't get five stars, is because some of the food items are past non-food items. There's a whole big food item section, then makeup and Medicine, then another food item section. I guess they know I am trying to get steps on my Fitbit. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Let me be clear, up until today I've visited this Fred Meyers on a regular basis, hundreds of times, simply because of convenience. However, today is the day our relationship ends. Never have I been so disrespected and treated so poorly as a quality customer! I'm truly shocked at the way the two "managers" Kloey and Jared handled what should have been a simple mishap on the stores end. I'll give you the details and you can decide for yourself if how it was handled was appropriate: Upon finishing my grocery shopping, I head to the check out. The checker rang up all of my groceries, bags them, and I pay. Immediately following, her terminal shuts down. As in, a complete loss of power to her register. Even though I had already paid, I stand around to make sure we're all good and everything went through. I wait while she tries to get the register up and running (with no luck)... I wait while she calls the manager, Kloey, to the register... I wait while Kloey tries to figure it out (with no luck)... I wait while Kloey goes to another register and to the back office to try and locate my transaction... I wait while she comes back and forth between registers speaking quietly to the checker so that I had no idea what was going on. In the meantime, I pulled up my bank account to confirm that indeed the money had already been withdrawn from my account, and then, I continued to wait. I wait while Kloey brings Jared (another manager) into the mix to take over, not saying a single word to me or even apologizing that I'm standing there for what was now quite a long time. At this point, they have helped the customers behind me move all of their groceries to another lane in order for them to check out. Me on the other hand, I still stand their waiting in silence. Just waiting to make sure we're all good. Finally, after Jared does his research, he finally speaks to me, and this is what comes out of his mouth, "Well at this point, if you leave, we will consider you have left with unpaid merchandise." Umm, excuse me?!! Why in God's name do you think I've been standing here for the last 20+ minutes?! To steal your groceries?! I was absolutely appalled! How hideously rude and unprofessional can you possibly be?! I let him know I had zero intent on stealing their groceries! I again let him know that the funds had already been taken out of my account and asked what we do about that. He said, "the bank would put it back within a few seconds or it could take longer, that's up to the bank, but if you leave here you're taking unpaid merchandise". Unbelievable, you felt the need to repeat that again? At this point I wanted to leave the cart and walk out. They didn't deserve my money. I was quickly weighing the inconvenience of me having to go to another store and gather all of my groceries again, versus paying this disgusting man another $100. Nonetheless, I went ahead and paid for my groceries, once again. He handed me my receipt, without so much as saying a word, not a thank you OR an apology! What kind of person treats their customers like this?! I'd consider myself a pretty understanding person; I manage a business myself and fully understand that sometimes things happen. Technology fails, we have an off day, etc. That's really not a problem. But to treat me like a CRIMINAL after YOUR technology fails while I am patiently standing there to make sure everything is okay, and never even offer an apology for my inconvenience, for wasting 20+ minutes of my time, or thanking me for shopping even??? Who does that?! So, on top of me having to be inconvenienced with your non-working registers, and your staff that doesn't know how to fix them in a timely manner, now I get to deal with slander from this embarrassment of a manager? I've moved back out to this area after living on the west side for the better part of 25 years with one short stint in North Portland for a job change. Rent kind of went nutty downtown, so here I am again on my original turf in East Multnomah County where I was born and raised. I've shopped at Fred's my whole life, so it's no surprise that I returned to shopping at my old Fred's on 147th & Division, and it works well for Ron and I, but it's been all torn up for renovation and takes twice as long to shop. Ron suggested we try this different Fred Meyer for awhile nd I've become a fan. Besides Fred's, there is also a Five Guys franchise and a T-Mobile store (there are other shops as well) in this shopping center. Parking is plentiful, but oddly laid out. Inside the store has the usual same floor plan, but they have done a great job with signage. I can get my shopping done in an organized fashion and not feel like I'm wasting my weekend. Their produce department is excellent, and Fred Meyer has really stepped up their organic produce selection. Their product selection includes everything I need and a whole lot more. I have always found these stores to be very clean. Bathroom facilities are gender specific and easy to get to and well cared for. Employees are very friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if this is permanently "our Fred's" yet, but I think the chances are good! read more

I am taking care of my mother and didn't have time to shop this week. I placed a pick up order as the very LAST time I try this because I've had horrific experiences with FM pickups before at many locations. Lesson learned and never will I do this again. About 8 items they offered were supposedly out of stock...even avacados! I'm calling BS. Time to step it up Freddys and do some drug testing or competency tests for the shoppers. Most likely, the pickup service needs to be discontinued. They have had time to perfect it and have simply failed. read more

Gresham does not have a lot of choices for finding organic anything, yet in a pinch Freddies is one of the supermarkets that are on it out in East Co. This one in particular actually has a pretty decent organic section. They've got about 5 freezer doors full of goodness, as well as 2 small aisles full of more organic choices. You can also find a good portion of organic veggies/fruits here as well which I choose while waiting patiently for the farmers markets to bring us local food. read more

This is our Freddy's. The staff is a mixed bag, mostly good! One of our faves is Larry at U-scan; he's a great guy to see on a daily basis at the grocery store. Today we bought fresh trout from here, and we only ever come here for our produce (plenty of organic selections of fruits and veggies). They even offer clothing, housewares and auto supply. I just took a job out in Gresham. For lunch, I took a trip to this Freddy's to get lunch options to please the masses. The options to be found in this grocery store didn't please anyone and the amount of time it took for us to just get in and out was ridiculous. The juice and natural food selections were lacking. Spent last night shopping on the Fred Meyer web site. My grocery list was saved from last time, so it was simple to use. I wanted those little cubes of dried bread for my stuffing, no luck. My experience today left me with the distinct impression that identity theft could easily occur as a result of this store's careless practices. I recently sold a racing engine, and took the cash to the Fred Meyer in Gresham, on Burnside. Of course there was a 20+ minute wait in the line for customer service, and of course, nobody ever expects customer service reps to be pleasant-much less at Fred Meyer in general, but I've come to expect these general truths. I politely asked for 7 money orders, for 1,000 each. The employee (Aimee Stroebal) went to the other counter, and picked up a paper log sheet from an unlocked drawer. She asked me for my license, and recorded my name and address. She then asked me for my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. Of course said I was not comfortable giving that out, much less in combination with my name and address--much less on a paper log that was clearly in NO way secured. She only replied snidely that it was a requirement for that many money orders. I then asked what the limit was for 'not' needing to provide my SSN would be. She replied curtly that the limit was 3,000. I said okay, that is fine, I'll just do three money orders today, but then she laughed and said no, she was declining the entire transaction. I find it absolutely unbelievable that in this day and age, a corporation the size of Fred Meyer would have such blatantly irresponsible company policies and practices in place. Anyone who has ever had their identity stolen to any degree (myself included), may wish to be wary of using Fred Meyer money orders. This particular employee was unprofessional at best, and aggressively antagonistic at worst. She could have said literally anything along the lines of she didn't blame me for not wanting to put all my vital info out there, but that was the policy she was required to follow, and I would have left being perfectly fine. I'm certain Fred Meyer as a corporation doesn't care what I think, but I still wanted to share my experience. read more

I went to fred meyer 2 days ago with my son, who they screwed up his birthday cake last year in another review I posted. This time, when I step out of my truck, I slipped and almost completely fell to the asphalt. Fortunately I was able to stop myself. It didn't rain 2 days ago but there was what appeared to be tomate sauce/paste that was on the ground. I got my son, went inside and told an employee. I told my color and type of truck so they could find it. And even showed him the bottom of my shoe which still had sauce on it. He asked if there was any glass as part of the tomato sauce and I said no. He said they'd get somebody out there right away. 15 minutes later I finish my shopping and leave. Upon getting back to my truck, the sauce was still there on the ground. I'm not one to really sue over something as small as this and won't be yet I find their efficiency really lacking considering if somebody else who was 'sue happy' ended up slipping on the same stuff in the parking lot. read more

This is my 'home' store. I've been going here for years. I know many of the checkers and consider them friends. Especially John W. - he's the best! When there are issues, they are dealt with immediately. Like recently a customer was giving a checker a really hard time. It wasn't only staff that responded but other customers that I know to be long time customers were there to support him. It's a family atmosphere. And their food prices are really good. The clothing is still a bit pricy but they have a lot of deals and special sales. And you can't beat their 'day after Thanksgiving' options!! Plus you can ask any staff person where something is and even if it's not in their area they know where stuff is! Also if there isn't something they stock, you can talk to the Manager and most times they add it to their store! read more

I am pleased with the remidel even though it was sone forvthe staff who liad the online shopping 1. There seems to be a push to remove name brands and stock primarily fm brands. Not happy about that 2. Staff gave improved a great desl in customer service 3. It appears rhe new baggers in the Gresham store have not been trained well: a they stand around and do not look at other lines to see if help needed B. They do NOT know how to bag groceries they just toss everything in willy niy. And the bags are way too heavy AND THE BIG DEAL IS they should know to put red meat in a plastic bag. Today, I went to return an expensive product that didn't work. I was told that Fred Meyer won't accept returns due to CDC COVID-19 requirements. I haven't had the chance due to working 80 hours for my own companies COVID response. Don't know if FM return claim is actually CDC guidance, but it doesn't matter. I bought the item 30 days ago under their return policy, and now I have to live the costs for Fred Meyer failing to deliver on their return policy that applied at the time of my purchase? I have to live with the expense of a broken item that you promised I could return? You should have given me a refund and just not taken the product back. Why should I as your customer pay for this decision and not FM? Ripoff. Never going back. In this time of crisis, you should be there for your customers. Period. The time before this the female who works there, always wears a beanie and mirrored sunglasses talked to me through my passengers window... I asked the manager at the customer service desk for one excitedly when she asked for my ID I told her I didn't have it on me. I know it's a policy but it's also up to employee discretion. I'm 21 and wanted to surprise my boyfriend and she with a smile on her face told me it was policy. I went in a few days ago had a horrible experience with the deli manager,called and spoke with the food manager,so I went back in last night to purchase 3 more deli sandwiches and was going to attempt a turkey wrap,but the young man gave me the vibe that he wasn't too thrilled with having to make fresh sandwiches at 630 pm, I asked how long the sandwiches had been sitting in the case and he said since early that morning, I could see the lettuce and meat looked aged ,he conceded in making me a fresh one , then I asked for a just turkey and ham,his response is that's what's in the case ,I apologized for missing the word ham ,I was tired and just got off work ,so since he sounded perturbed with me I declined in asking for a turkey wrap and said i'd Be back in a few minutes for the sandwiches,when I got back he had them wrapped and I asked him to put them In plastic containers like the premade ones in the case behind me,I thanked him and left, I have decided that the Gresham location just has rude employees in the deli section,I guess I will give them 1 more chance I work with a 3 strikes your out no matter what the issue is , I believe in 2nd chances but after 3 and no improvement,I will take my hard earned $ elsewhere . I like shopping at this Fred Meyers location as they have a good variety of things that I like. The one problem I have with this store is there pharmacy. I opted to wait in the pharmacy for 20 minutes as that is how long the pharmacist said it would take for my prescription to be ready and they even announced it to the "crew" that there is someone that is going to wait. they were pretty busy so I figured it may take a bit longer but after 45 minutes and seeing someone that was at my doctors office being serviced after me walk right up and get her meds I was like " what the hell". I then walked up to the register and asked if my meds were ready, cashier was like, YUP. I was like really?? I have been waiting for 45 minutes and you said you would call my name as soon as it was done.... she was like, maybe we forgot. MABEY SHE FORGOT, MABEY I WILL NEVER USE THAT PHARMACY EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!! JERK-OFFS. read more
