I took in a gold chain to have the 14k lobster claw closure repaired or replaced. Said it needed replacing, $117. Less then 3 months later the clasp broke the exact same way after I only took it off 2 or 3 times. Went back to the store and not only would they not work with me to repair again but now they wanted $184! This was a very light weight chain and the clasp shouldn't have broken again. read more

I had such a positive experience today, I felt compelled to leave a review. Denise and the staff at the Gresham Fred Meyer Jewelry dept. were so incredibly helpful as I brought 10 different rings in to be either sized and/or repaired. Denise took the time to explain all the options, provide relevant information and facilitate a fair price and, without her attention to detail, I wouldn't have noticed that I was missing a diamond on my wedding set! She and the staff worked together cooperatively and professionally for the 2 hours I was in the store. would not recommend to anyone at all. there nice when you first walk in to look. if you ask them to look at a certain item they get a little snobbish about it. i asked a clerk if i could look at a ring, they sighed and had a slight eye roll and walked away to get the right key for the case. After i had told them i would like to purchase they were not thrilled to do the shipping paperwork. they are not freidnly at this location and have an attitude most of the time. when i went back about 2 weeks later to pick the ring up they asked me how i had oredered the ring. i told them i came into the store, purchased it and it was shipped out to get sized. they kept telling me they didnt understand what i was saying and didnt know if it was an online order or if it was an order to have it fixed. they looked in the middle of the store where some of there shipments are kept and told me they didnt receive it. i told them they did receive it and i got a phone call it was ready to be picked up. after getting nagged at for not knowing the shipment or where the ring was they found it and told me it was an online order purchase and thats what i needed to tell them after they had pulled up my file in there system when i had given them my drivers license at the very beginning of the situation. i will never return to this department again. do not go here and purchase anything. you will be wasting your time. read more

Very poor customer service! I came in with a watch that the cost of fixing exceeded the value. He advised me against it, which is fine. Even though I just don't understand how that's possible. When I picked up the watch it was missing the pin for the band, I had told him I wore it when I brought it in because he didn't seem to believe me my main complaint is I went there with the intention on spending a couple hundred dollars for a new watch. So the first one shown she had pulled it out had a plastic band? I said I wanted one that had a metal band and the watch repair guy tells me that I could get some aftermarket kit online or something like that. My whole point is that they were not interested or even ask me if they had another watch I was interested in. This really upset me because even if I wanted to go the extra effort to try and purchase a watch from them they sure were not interested in selling me one. I had showered today and had clean clothes on so I just could not understand the lack of customer service! I guess that is the way things are these days, everybody wants to have you buy online. It just sucks to finally reach a point in my life to walk into a jewelery store and be able to buy something and to have such a horrible experience. I would definitely skip the choice of going g to Gresham Fred Meyers. You could get better customer service from Walmart than these guys ! Worst (trying) shopping experience ever! Too bad Yelp doesn't have negative points. Took my watch into have a battery replaced. Told that the movement was not working. Needed to order new movement. Broke the face while attempting to repair. Attempting to get new face from Tag Heuer. Acknowledged that he broke it, however, no follow through. Awful experience, how does Fred Meyer/ Kroger allow this. read more
