These guys (and Chelsea) are amazing. I've been a loyal customer for awhile now and always check…read morehere for whatever it is I'm looking for on any given day. I remodel homes for a living and am a tool/jewelry addict! The deals on tools here are awesome and I always purchase the VIP protection plan so if I have an issue or simply don't need it anymore, I just bring it back and use the credit for something I do need or as it is in most cases, simply want. Which brings to my next addiction, jewelry! I will never purchase jewelry from a retail store again. When I think of the money wasted over the years, it makes me ill. I've gotten some incredible deals on some gorgeous diamonds here. The V.I.P. protection plan also give you a guaranteed loan amount should you even need to borrow against a piece. Of course, I never thought that day would come, until it did. I was recently hit with a completely fraudulent judgment from years ago in another county. While it may be fraudulent, I still have to pay an attorney to get rid of it and that will quickly devour an average savings account and it did. So, I remembered my guaranteed loan amounts....With a heavy heart I trekked down to USA and pawned some of my things. I'd never done that before and thought it would be embarrassing but it was in the least. Then, my nightmare drug on far longer than I had anticipated so, I had to take more items down there.... Everyone has been amazing. Granted, I'm not a douchebag that brings in junk, stolen items, or yells at them and hurls insults. I also have a realistic idea of what my things are worth beforehand. When I walk in, I feel like I'm amongst friends. I really do. They went above and beyond to help me get through that b.s. They truly did more than most of my friends and family and this is a pawn shop.. Aren't they supposed to be heartless and solely out to rip me off!? Lol. That couldn't be further from reality. My thought toward the end was that if I fail and am not able to get my items back, I'd much rather see this store benefit from that disaster than anyone else I can think of. At least they cared enough to try. As for the negative reviews: My comments notwithstanding, this is a business. It's also a freaking pawn shop. You get fast cash with no hassles. The terms are clearly laid out for you. If you don't like the terms or their offer, go elsewhere. But do not blame them because suddenly you can't hold up your end of the deal. Be a grown up and take responsibility for your own decisions. As far as pawn brokers and just people in general go, you don't get any better, Imo. That goes for 82nd and Powell as well, but that's another review. I apologize for the length of this, but I've been wanting to write it for awhile and had a lot to say. :-)

So recently, I had a pair of AirPod Pros disappear, and after checking the locator app on my…read moreiPhone, I found them at this location. They were not willing to return them to me, even though I had a serial number and physical proof that they were at that location. I had to get the police involved, and over a week later were able to retrieve them. Total headache if you ask me. Key takeaways here. The staff was rude, unapologetic, and hesitant to return stolen property that they had unlawfully purchased. They obviously don't check if the items they purchase are stolen and have no problem making it a hassle for people to retrieve their stolen property, even when it's super obvious. I don't personally shop at pawn shops; they are a total rip-off, but I had no clue they were chop shops for illegally stolen products. Great business model there.

The second bracelet, a tennis bracelet with very small diamonds needed ONE diamond replaced. I dropped them off on 8/2. The simple bracelet was fixed in a couple weeks. I had to call repeatedly for updates and was told the tennis bracelet was more difficult (a part had to be ordered). Finally on 9/20 I received a call it was ready. This is after multiple calls from me every 2 wks checking in and being told every time, it would be ready "the following Tuesday". They simply ruined my bracelet. Instead of replacing one small diamond, they replaced THREE. And instead of the 3 new diamonds being flush with the bracelet in accordance with the others, they are raised. AND they used gold which does not match the gold in the bracelet. I called them when I got home after looking at the "repair" and they simply said they were sorry I wasn't happy. I do not recommend this jewler. They ruined this very sentimental and dear bracelet.

For those of you who don't watch queer eye, that means a little extra flair! Beth and Bill work behind the counter. From the minute you walk in, this duo makes it easy to talk shop. They give you a free estimate, and can fix your item in a timely manner depending on the material of the jewelry. They allowed me to grab a coffee next door at Albina while Bill quickly fixed my bracelet. I would definitely recommend the shop to those who have been putting off jewelry repair.
