They offered to buy it back but goggles went to a friend and I sold the axis kit. (stuff I already had) so overall do recommend. */edit* Bought DJI avata end of January. Was told was unbound. Tried connecting a different controller to it and found out it was bound to an email address. I asked the shop if they can contact the owner to get it unbound and they said legally no. Which I'm not asking for the info myself so strange answer. Was then told it was sold as a bound drone and for parts. Which was not the case (I have a screenshot of the listing just in case) So yeah. We were recommended (by their other store), to come here, because they have a lot more of jewelry and a jeweler that can answer any of questions. It wasn't very far, so we decided to detour home and go visit them. There were at least 3-4 people behind the counter, in one location and only one other new customer (3 total, walked in at the same time), and NO ONE BOTHERED to help me. Yes, I would have been tempted to be an impulse buyer, but decided to leave. Extremely lazy and unmotivated. Only good workers they have is the black guy and the islander dude. The females yeah forget about it, they should take an open position at Popeyes it would better suit them. Their gold prices are also super inflated currently 14k gold is around $48-50 a gram and they have it priced at $88-100 a gram. People will say "it cost to make jewelry it's not scrap" 1. I offered $65 a gram (which is more than fair) 2. PAWN SHOPS BUY ALL GOLD UNDER SCRAP! So if jewelry isn't scrap why tf are they absolutely robbing people blind? Last thing that really pissed me off, I wanted to buy some Christian loubs from them and they have USED SHOES FOR SALE FOR $800! When I said "yeah that's drunk" they replied "they retail for $1000" yeah no fuckin shit but if I wanted new ones I'd go buy the new ones with a box, dust bag, and a mf reciept! You guys got only the mf shoes. I think $400 is more than fair because I know they offered the poor guy who had to make rent and probably had nothing to eat $200. Shady ass pawn shop. Also if a pawn shop wants to scrap gold they don't even get full scrap value unless they melt over a quarter pound plus. These guys here are down to earth, realistic bunch who are willing to cut you a deal on anything in the store, unlike (USA pawn) other shops who treat you like a chump, clueless as to what their purpose is, and make you feel like a bum selling your stuff. I've been shopping at pawnshops for twenty years and I've been to this store twice making purchases both times. This last trip was different, I made an offer on three items ( two fans and a hammer). I was passed off to the manager and I offered $140, the hammer was already $39 but one of the fans had sat for almost a year, he looked them up and countered with $150, I thought about it and agreed, then he said that will be $189.00. I asked how much he was charging me for the hammer? He said $39.00 I reminded him his offer was $110 for the fans and he said my total would be $150. He said " yaaa I can't let them go for that!". Then he quoted me Home Depot's current retail price. Keep in mind that they were having a valentines sale and tools we're currently 10-20% off. read more

A1 HAWK - A CLASS ACT BUISNESS!!! I cant say enough about this business or thank them enough for what they did for me!!! This is going to be a long review but well worth taking your time to read!!! My husband and I owned a Salon and Spa in Dnt Portland, on the SW Waterfront. Our Spa was located on the ground floor of the Mirabella Skyrise building. On the 5th floor, the building ran a skilled nursing facility. I had a very close client that had terminal cancer and was actively dying. I would go up to her room on my breaks every day and spend time with her and would massage her legs for her. One day I went up to visit on one of my breaks and took off both my wedding ring and my anniversary ring so that I would not scratch or rub her leg with my rings. I laid both of my rings on her TV console and as I was massaging her legs I was called down to the Spa as my next appointment had arrived. I hurried down to the salon forgetting that I had taken off both of my rings. I went home that evening and realized that I had left my rings in her room. I told my husband what had happened and he told me "they should be fine, we will go and get them first thing in the morning". When we're arrived to work the next morning first thing we went up to her room on the skilled nursing floor and the rings were no where to be found. We turned the room upside down and no rings!!! I was devastated!!! We reported the loss to the head of skilled nursing as well as the general manager of the building. We also called the police as these rings were over 4K total weight and very high quality. The rings together were worth over 25,000.00. Not to mention, my husband had them custom made by ABC Jewelers. They were not only very expensive but very sentimental. My husband would go on every search engine nightly for over a year searching for my beautiful wedding rings with absolutely no luck. It's like they vanished into thin air!!! I cried myself to sleep for almost a month straight. My husband would also take a trip around Portland to all the Pawn shops at least every other week just to check and see if by chance anyone had tried to sell them to a hawk shop. This theft happened in 2013 and it is now 2019 and my sweet husband to this day still looks for my rings. Sometimes I would think it was silly because I figured they were LONG GONE! One day, about 2 weeks ago, my husband was driving down division street and decided to go in to A1 Hawk and just take a look, he went over to the ladies wedding rings and low and behold he saw my custom made anniversary ring, he said " THAT IS MY WIFES RING! It was stolen over 6 years ago, and there it was!!!!! He came home and told me he was sure that he had found my ring. I still had the police report , pictures of both rings and all the details. I brought the paperwork in to A1 Hawk the next day and when I saw my ring, I started to shake and cry. I knew immediately that was my ring!!! Everyone there was so kind and then we met with one of the owners, Sarah, and she was so kind, she said there was paperwork that had to be done before I could take my ring home. This ring was one of a kind and custom made. By the picture there was no mistaking that this was my ring. They had a computer breakdown and could not find the info on the person who had originally pawned the ring. So they were not sure how to handle this situation. This would be a HUGE loss to this business. Sarah's dad, one of the owners told Sarah to go ahead and give her ring back to her. So Sarah called and told me to come and get my ring. I was so ecstatic I could hardly stand it. One of the happiest days of my life!!! Thank you Sarah and her father for giving my beautiful anniversary ring back!!! I look at my ring every day and think how lucky I am to have my ring back and how thankful I am for my husband who NEVER gave up looking for my ring. And what integrity this business has, to eat this loss and give me my ring back with no hassles or questions asked. What an amazing business with not only integrity but kindness and compassion for someone who had lost something so special. I will always remember what Sarah and her father at A1 Hawk did for me and my husband!! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! I shop here often . Tools, electronics, is what I buy. They have relatively good up-to-date decent prices and they're willing to match and bargain if you walk in with cash. They're polite they're nice they have all kinds of stuff, hunting bows, shoes purses and electronic, yards tools. They have three locations the one on McLaughlin I guess It might be Oregon city I don't know but it's over here Milwaukee/Gladstone. They have a bunch a bench made knives for a very good price why buy brand new when you could buy almost brand new saving yourself half the cost on a lot of items at any of these stores. The rain this morning was a reminder that it was time for a nice winter jacket. I've had my eye on a rather expensive one from a major retailer and was reminded by my sister that a pawn shop would have them for a better deal. We walk into A1-Hawk and I see the PERFECT jacket for the PERFECT price. I just need to see how it hangs on my body. I ask the staff where the mirror is and am pointed to one on the other side of the store behind the counter. I'm not wearing my contacts so I ask if an escort could take me closer, they respond no. I ask if they could bring it closer, again no. I understand that it's not their fault I didn't wear my contacts but here's a customer willing to pay the price you're asking for. Bought a laptop here for a good price. Took it home and updated it, then realized that the windows that was installed was not activated, essentially leaving the computer useless. I took it back 2 days later with receipt in hand. I totally expected to get the usual pawn shop run around and excuses, "buyer beware" and that sort of thing. In fact I was even prepared for a confrontation walking through the door. However, to my surprise the staff was apologetic and immediately activated my windows for me, and even offered to return the laptop all together. They were busy when I went in and they made my issue a priority and I was out the door very quickly. They even gave me a few free dvds for my troubles. I haven't had this good of service from any retail store, let alone a pawn shop. They have earned a customer for life. I won't shop anywhere else. read more

All we found was a slack-jawed yokel with no idea what we were talking about, and little idea as to what they had.
