First off, I usually only write reviews about restaurants and places of interest. But when I walked into the door of this establishment, I decided to take the gloves off and do a review that is worthy of some of the best businesses in oregon, Washington and California. Now before you roll your eyes and say to yourself.. Is he being paid to write this review? Well sort of.. But not the way you might think. I was paid with respect, kindness, generosity and more than what my expectations were walking In. Hate being haggled? Hate feeling like your worthless for having to pawn something to survive? Hate the feeling that you walked away with not what you really needed? I know I do. I have sellers/pawners regret every single time and feel discounted by every pawn shop I've ever been to.. Until today. I can't emphasize enough how gracious the staff was and how grateful I was for walking in the door. If I had a need for more money right this second, I would go back just to experience what it's like to be truly valued. I'm in awe. I have a urge to go out and just buy someone I don't know something just to share the happiness I have right now from them helping me out. Crazy how they, without even trying and knowing really the impact that they had on my day, they were so kind without effort. I might have learned something today.. And that is.. Good honest reputable people exist sometimes without us recognizing them. So I am doing so now. So without wasting any more time. Thank you Sarah for your kindness. I hope and wish nothing but the absolute best for your business. And will continue to promote your growth in anyway I can. So in conclusion.. I don't usually leave bad reviews unless they piss me off , and THE OLD female manager gal is absolutely heartless AND clueless how to run a successful business . I've gone there several times so I can speak to my experience, she sucks!!! Example: they're selling a watch on eBay for $199, I go in , ask about it , she says best she can do is $180 . I explain - hey I'm here with cash , you don't have to pay eBay fees , shipping fees, a guy across 20 states making stuff up and complaining about your watch , I'll buy it AS-IS , would you do 160...nope , she goes on a rant "this watch is $495 , I can't do lower" even though they sell on eBay at about 190-200 all day long and sellers are lucky to get back 160 cash . I get frustrated because they're making me look slow and stupid !, I mean Invicta watches flirt with $1000 but everyone knows they're not worth $100 , I've opened some , they're cheap quartz watches inside so msrp means nothing in some cases . I offered $160 cash on a watch you're selling $199 on eBay and I am buying it as-is and you're being weird to me ??? The poor seller girl , a cute blonde, a beginner was embarrassed for her , you can see it in her eyes . This isn't the first time , I've been to that shop 10 times in last two years , she is a weirdo , some items have been there for 6-12-18 months , OBVIOUSLY you're not hustler enough to sell them , why is she still fighting on items being there for 6-12 months!!! She the manager ??? But hold onnn , god forbid you're in a bind and NEED money and you go with that $495 watch , she will say how its hard to sell for 200 , how eBay fees and customer service and insurance and employees and god forbid it's stolen...and she can only do $40-60 ? Hey ! I dare you , bet me ! If you gave more that $60 -75 on that watch , I'll give you $495 new price but we both know you low balled the seller a TON . I would have given a zero if that was an option. I've been a firearms dealer for 35 years. I had a customer looking for a Marlin 1895G and found a used one with this company. I spoke to Marcelo who was very nice. I paid a premium for the rifle as it was listed in Very Good Condition on Guns.Com. When I received it the entire exterior was covered in rust which I spent 2 removing. Not a huge deal but the muzzle crown was covered in rust and requires a re-crown. Also the front sight hood that was pictured in the add was not received. I had an extensive email exchange with a woman name Shawna. She wasted a tremendous amount of my time asking stupid questions so I sent her photos (See below) and asked about the sight hood to which she accused me of lying. I asked for a reimbursement for the re-crown ($100) and the sight hood. She told me to pound sand sighting that the fine print at the bottom of the add stated a condition as being GOOD. This rifle was less than good and not mechanically sound. I gave up fighting with her as she clearly has little to no knowledge of firearms and I will eat the repair costs but wanted to let the rest of you know that you should NOT purchase anything from this company online. Inspect the item in person and closely as this company is dishonest and has terrible customer service. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! WORST FIREARMS TRANSACTION I'VE HAD IN 35 YEARS BEING IN THE BUSINESS! What can I say the ladies that own pawn central are simply amazing. They are honest and upfront about prices not to mention they will give you the best offer in town. They are pleasant to work with and it's weird to say this but I think they truly care about their customers which is definitely not the norm for pawn shop owners.
