If you're not that kind of shopper, my review will likely not apply to you. This Freddies is fantastic. There is always a staff-member visible and readily available. Last time, an employee named Sam was fantastic when I pointed out that the item I wanted was out of stock on the shelves. He called in the stockroom to see if there were anymore of that item, but there wasn't. Instead he let me have the more expensive version for the same price. Ah-maze-ing. It was about 4 times the price of the cheaper one, too. I was shocked! This is just one of many positive experiences I've had here. Now please don't go expecting to get something for $100 that is worth $400, and then blast me for not getting it, OK? My item was only $0.79 originally haha. But still, we gotta be thrifty in this economy, man! I noticed a reviewer saying this store always seems to be out of stock, I would suggest seeking help from an associate if that's the case. First of all, I have always liked Fred Meyer and enjoyed going there. That being said, I will most likely never go back (at least to this specific one) because while in the checkout we saw a mouse peeking out then run across the floor. The cashier said there always seems to be one and that was very unsettling. It may be difficult to control things likes this, but a mouse in the store is quite unsanitary. There has to be some kind of thing they can do to prevent this. After all, it's where food is sold! read more

The Bothell store has been refurbished this year and I like the new layout. Cheap, easy to find stuff, I like to pop into Freddies for some essentials on my way to getting haircut or stopping for coffee with friends at Starbucks. Both are within walking distance of this store. The staff is polite, clean, and helpful. When did that happen? I remember in Redmond how surly they were. I think the new renovations are great for shopping! When you need a trip to the grocery store and don't know what to get, just go to this fred meyer and you'll start putting things into the cart that you won't expect! My small cart started filling so fast, I felt bad for the baggers at the end to try to stuff the carts. But they end up getting the larger carts for you which is really caring of them. Really had to pay full price for Christmas thing that are on sale for 50% off. I say something and told I have to have a rewards number. Then they ring up my mom next she says something ( she doesnt have a rewards number either) she gets the 50% off the Christmas stuff. Not really understand why I got charged full price, I bought the exact same items as she did, she was charged the correct sales price while I was charged full price. We had the same cashier, so I leave crying because apparently me saying something isnt enough. Manager Russ even came up to confirm the sales price for my mom, but not for me. I have been shopping at this location for 10 years and never had an issue, but recently their pharmacy converted their systems and ever since the quality of service has depleted greatly. I only rated this Fred Meyer a 3 star because I feel the rest of the store is just fine and I will continue to shop with them, but will no longer EVER use their pharmacy services. Just to name a few problems I've had with the pharmacy: -was given the incorrect number of pills (60 pills missing) and didn't notice until I was out too soon and the insurance wouldn't refill it. had to wait while they counted, only to find out out themselves that they did have too many pills in their stock. -said they couldn't "refill" something because it expired, but it wasn't set to expire for 2 more weeks. -when they had to call my insurance to fix a problem the woman helping me was very annoyed (whether it was with me or the insurance it doesn't matter) and took it out by slamming her phone down and acting very unpleasant for someone in customer service. -the lines have TRIPLED since they converted their systems. The staff is SLOW. I've spent up to 30 minutes standing in line just to pick up my already filled RX's. -they are understaffed and whenever I go in there are people just standing at the front help areas while the line piles up and they are not helping customers. just letting the line fill up and making people stand around. stop what you are doing for 2 seconds and take care of the 30 minute line of people. Rest assured I will be moving my RX's, which is unfortunate since I've used this pharmacy for 8 years out of the 10 years I've lived in this area. They just can't get it right. read more

This is MY fred meyer. Seriously, it's where I shop. =) Not only do they have everything I need (including a plethora of Gluten Free goodies) but they're also very helpful and friendly. For the most part, I never have any problems there but there was an instance where a random customer was creepily following me around the store and staring at me. I didn't even have to ask for help because the lady at the fish counter saw it all happening and called one of their Loss Prevention people in to follow me around and keep an eye on the guy while I finished my shopping. I probably wouldn't have worried so much except that I was buying pumpkins that day and was worried that he might follow me out to my car and take advantage of the fact that I was weighted down with not just groceries but the pumpkins as well. Fred Meyer's loss prevention people followed me through checkout and helped me with my stuff out to my car and the guy must have got a clue and didn't follow at that point. All in all, not only does this Fred Meyer provide the goods I need but they also make me feel safe. What more can someone ask for?? =) read more

Staff are hit and miss. They have a ton of turnover in checkers. That makes me wonder how well Fred Meyer and/or management treats them. The food and produce is cheaper than elsewhere, so we shop here once in a while. QFC dairy always has tons of honey, maple, and peach yogurt that nobody buys, but no popular flavors. Weird. FM has more rational buyers and a better bulk food system. That's odd too because it's all Kroger now. So I don't imagine there's real competition. read more

Five star since you can find almost anything you need at this Fred Meyer. No gas station and I always need a better attitude but other than that..... The store is huge yet the employees do a terrific job of making this store feel like a small town grocery. The produce dept. is beautifully arranged and always has fresh produce, especially the local in-season kind. Deli is well managed, again, fresh products and wait time has not been an issue. Staff in this deli seem to genuinely care about their customers. Pricing is very competitive store-wide and Fred Meyer has online coupons and fuel points, invaluable for many shoppers. The center aisle is well stocked and easy to navigate, large wine and beer selections with competitive pricing and a dairy area I have found always well supplied. The store also has a garden area, sells a variety of non-food products and clothing in addition to the ever present Starbucks. This Fred Meyer is our go-to store. read more

This is currently our closest Fred Meyer. It is literally the largest one I have ever been in. It feels super new and up to date which is great, but of course that means it's always packed and getting in and out is a pain. I recommend coming on weekdays early throughout the week, because we're always stuck coming late after work or on weekends and it's literally so packed, which is why I can't give it 5 stars. But love the Starbucks inside that we inevitably end up stopping at before we shop, and the checkout people are always friendly. read more

we are regulars and go at all the weird times and the regular times, all the employees are great, and the ladies and guys at the kiddie care place are so kind to our kids and say hi. back in 2015 my husband got held up at gun point like 20 feet or more away (napa auto parts), it was during the huge power outage and storm and it apparently was "end of days" in bothell according the the kind police officers. I had strolled through with my girls to go buy a portable phone charger and get out of our dark home for a bit and was chilling on the fred myers sofa when my husband ran through the doors pale white to customer service...thinking i was in deep sh** and scared him by not being home i rushed over to hear him talking to dispatch. all the employees did their thing, one went and got the right managers, one stayed with my husband (at customer service) and one stood by us checking in every few seconds on how we were doing. they let us and the police try to use their internet to log in to our iCloud (the robber stole our only van and one phone had slipped under the seat somewhere and my other one that was charging in the car with my man was either disposed of or taken by the theif). one of us had to go to the police station cause we couldn't get good service, mean while one of the employees took my husband and kid home, gave us a carseat to use..!!!! and some chargers and like some sacks or something. while us adults were focusing they were totally distracting my kid and just staying positive. the police found him at his grandparents home and we could see he was going in and out of the main house via find my phone app and cops went in once they saw one of the ladies wiping down the car of prints. the thief only served a few months in jail and nothing else..for and ARMED ROBERY!! he pointed it at my husbands head. he was nicely dressed and clean shaven. thank you fredmeyer people for helping us during our only car and carseats getting stollen, a week long power outage and dangerous windstorm and the last days of a very difficult pregnancy. dont know what every one is negging obout the parking and what not its just a store not the alaskan airlines elite lounge! read more

I'm not sure why this Fred Meyer has such a low score in comparison to others. I'm quite fond of Fred Meyers so I've been to a lot of them. I've never been to a Fred Meyer with friendlier employees. First off there's no shortage of employees. It's more than easy to find someone if you need help. The best part though is they always beat you to asking if you need anything. I'm not sure if I always look lost or they're just crazy friendly here. The employees always ask you if you're finding everything okay. Produce staff are more than happy to help you by cutting cabbages in half etc. Everything else is pretty standard as far as Fred Meyers go. A little bit of everything, a natural section, decent prices, clean, basically what you'd expect from Fred Meyer. Parking is ample and it's easy to get in and out of. read more

First, this Fred Myer has not had the big revamp that has been hitting the other FMs in the area. The layout and design is reminiscent of a mid-90s K-mart. Second, the parking is horrendous on weekends or after 3pm on week days. Esthetics and parking aside, this FM has a great selection of wines, bulk foods, and health foods. On Tuesday, Aug. 21st at approx. 2 PM in the afternoon, my 17 year old daughter pulled into Bothell Fred Meyer's parking lot. She parked five stalls away from the front door. While her and her 15 year old team mate ran into Fred Meyer for a quick stop, some thug broke out the window in her car and stole her bike helmet and a bag. I was out of the state on business and called the store to find out about security cameras in the parking lot. I was put on hold for the "this person" and then they would pass me on to another person. The store manager Mr. English, was in a "meeting" and could not spare a minute to speak with me. The management staff at this KROGER STORE obviously did not care and just wanted us to go away. WARNING: BE AWARE THIS IS NOT A SAFE PARKING LOT FOR ANYONE!! I WILL NOW BE SHOPPING SOMEWHERE ELSE! MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER'S"S CAR WAS BROKEN INTO DURING THE AFTERNOON ON A BUSY DAY. WHAT IS NEXT? WHY DOESN'T FRED MEYER CARE WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THEIR OWN PARKING LOT? More to come...we have hired a private investigator. As a side note, we will not be shopping to Fred Meyer in Bothell until they can get their heads together. read more

This review is specific to the Pharmacy at this Fred Meyer. I am mostly happy with the rest of the Fred Meyer, but the Pharmacy is really quite bad. I would really recommend people use a different Pharmacy than this Fred Meyer's. Unfortunately the Walgreens across the street is very poor as well. Of the five visits to this Fred Meyer Pharmacy, not once has the transaction been accurate nor gone smoothly. Issues: - Notification that meds were ready, when they really were not (a wasted drive to the store) (happened 3 times) - Telling us our meds could be renewed on a specific date, when they actually could not be. This resulted in us having to pay out of pocket and file a claim with our insurance. - Today the Pharmacist was mixing/compounding our sons medication and she spilled it all over herself. It was special order and they had no more, so now we are delayed 1-2 more days and we are out of the medication. They offered nothing to remedy the situation. Overall the pharmacy is quite disorganized and really poorly run. read more

WORST grocery store experience ever! Went there as we do multiple times per week and had the worst time! spent an hour getting our weekly groceries which went fine. had a huge cart full of things along with a six pack of beer and a bottle of wine. after everything is rang up and bagged the checker asked for ID which was expected even though we are both over 30. HOWEVER!!!!! I was not purchasing anything so I didn't bring my purse. which mind you has NEVER been a problem before as the person buying the alcohol is the one who should be ID. the checker demanded to have my id as well which we said no because i wasn't buying anything. he refused to sell anything to us. My boyfriend, the one paying for everything, asked for a manger. A man came over and said that it was the cashier's discretion to card everyone in the party.... and the he couldn't even override it. I notice his name tag and ask if he is even a manager to which he says NO... SO WHERE WAS THE MANAGER THAT WE ASKED FOR!?!?!??!?!?! oh at the customer service desk.... So the clerk PRETENDED to be a manager... then argued with us! then told us he had offered to ring up just my boyfriend in a different line... which defeats the purpose of turning us down in the first place because had we been a "sting" that they were so worried about they would have been busted anyways! totally hypicritical!!! And illegal. moral to the story... there more but not worth my time... GO TO ALBERTSON... or safeway! they will treat you way better and respect the customer! read more

This fredmeyers is one of my favorites! Not only is it convenient because I live close by, but the the employees are really nice and friendly! I try to go through Vinh's line whenever possible because he's always so helpful and nice. Love shopping here and would recommend this. The store staff is rude. I had an issue with a purchase and asked for a manager. One of the employees came over and pretended to be a manager and argued with me. After I discovered they weren't a manager and talked to the real manager the employee continued to make comments off to the side. I'll never shop at a Fred Meyer again. It was early evening with the granddaughter and she's a sharp 16 year old. She looked as did I and she told me to leave and buy them the next day, which I did from the Kirkland Fred Meyer. They had definitely been picked over, were almost gone and looked pretty bad. read more

Just wanted to update my review to address the changes I've noticed to specific issues I mentioned previously. The store is currently undergoing renovations and the aisles are now wider making it easier to navigate. It can be frustrating hunting for items on your shopping list that are now relocated to another area but there are many staff members readily available to point you in the right direction and they are happy to help. I'm not sure if it's the reorganization of the shelves or increase in selection (or maybe both) but I find the variety of items much better than before. And the meat department folks are helpful & courteous too! It's great to see our neighborhood store stepping up their game! read more

We ordered a cake for our children's birthday party and were very sad we did. The cake looked GORGEOUS, which is why I am graciously giving 2 stars. It was the WORST TASTING CAKE WE HAVE EVER HAD! Nothing was good about the taste, from the terrible frosting, bland cake that tasted more like cardboard than chocolate, and the strawberry filling was a THIN layer of jelly that you could hardly taste, yet alone find. This is the worst Fred Meyer I have ever been to and they have forever lost my business. The customer service manager is extremely rude when I went in for a return. She could not explain to me why the return could not be done and said " I don't have to explain it to you and I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone." She seemed polite to everyone but me and was unprofessional. I work in customer service and her work ethic would have never been acceptable under any circumstances. This is the best Fred Meyer I have ever been in. I have shopped at several stores in the past and this is the best ran store. The checkers stand out and offer assistance to customers when there's no one to check out. There's always someone close by to answer your questions. The store has just about anything and everything you will ever need at great prices. Doesnt matter if you have one item or a whole cart full you wont have to wait to get checked out and your on your way. There are many checkstands open at all times. Theres about 10 checkstands a few quick ones and a handfull of self checkout if you like. Always in and out with what you need.The layout of the store is odd but I think there's a reason for that. I drive a couple miles farther to go to this Fred Meyer because it's worth the trip. read more

I ordered two special themed birthday cakes at the Bakery for my daughter's birthday and chose the same filling, icing,..., just to reduce confusion. I was at the store 10mins before pickup time to discover that they baked only one cake. The person at the bakery was very rude and had an 'I don't care and its your funeral' attitude. When I asked him about the second cake he simply said 'yeah, I made a mistake, so what, go talk to the manager.' And the worst part was that the guy was abusive. The Manager took a cool 15 mins to arrive and simply said 'Sorry, I can give you a cake on the shelf with happy birthday written on it.' He was all praise for the guy at the bakery and said its the mistake of the lady who took the order. The worst ever customer service I have experienced in my life. A true reflection of BAD ATTITUDE. Went here to buy a crabbing license. Guy at the customer service desk had no idea what he needed to sell to cover that. Told him three times it had to cover crabbing. Ended up having to buy 2 licenses just to get the correct endorsement and then they couldn't refund one of the licenses. I'm sorry but if you don't know what licenses to sell then you shouldn't be behind the customer service counter. Go stock shelves where you don't have to talk to people.
