I happened to finally have a few minutes to check out Thriftology today. I've driven past this intriguing place several times and today I was on foot and went in. I was greeted by a nice friendly man who gave me some info about the place and pointed out that the majority of the items are in the back rooms. This place is deceptively large. It's a bit messy in the back but there is a little bit of everything here. He also told me some items were new and didn't have prices on them but to ask if I wanted to know. I'd rather have items labeled so I can see if it's a good deal or not. I hate to ask each time I look at an item. Overall, it's a small business in a sus part of Seattle that frankly needs some more legitimate businesses. I even found a cool little Squidward stuffie that I purchased. Good selection of stuff if you know where to look. There is music blasting at the entrance and on the left side of the shop. It's a little chaotic but I feel it lures the shopper in. As you walk through the store there is a room which often has 90's jams on. This room has more clothing and on the left side there are kids toys and sometimes bikes. It does feel like an estate sale/goodwill outlet vibe as some things are organized but also kinda random. The layout reminds me of a flea market in an another country. Unlike Out of the Closet and Lifelong in which you know the exact price of a record or a vintage binocular here you have to ask. I think this is part of the thrill of the search but also asking yourself how much you want to pay for this. Service is good and staff are chill and laid back. If you're around Lake city I would encourage stopping in. It's a nice refresher from the dated xxx shop next door, drug deals happening outside, and fentanyl slumps you see. read more

First time into Thriftology today and will definitely be coming back! Great selection of clothing (vintage and more modern/name brand), accessories, home goods, and furniture. Prices are extremely reasonable and the kind gentleman at the cashier allowed me to even "name my price" to get some items for cheaper than listed. Refreshing to find some true high-quality bargains in Seattle. 10/10!!! read more

Poorly organized, not super clean, and didn't find any products worth considering. Everything was in pretty poor shape. Was pretty bummed because I love thrift stores and had been excited to check this one out. Definitely won't be returning. read more

I will never be going to this store again. I was excited when I stumbled across this suite store while walking on Lake City, however the moment I walked in the store I was being stared down by the employee on shift. I minded my business, and when I reached the Jewelry section the employee said, "Let me know if you need help finding anything." I simply said thank you and smiled. I had not even touched or looked at anything yet. The second I touched one of the necklaces, and was looking at it because I thought it was pretty, the employee outright accused me of stealing, he said, "Hey you! Did you just put something under your sleeve?" I had not. I literally touched one item, and had barely had the chance to put it down before he accused me. I said no, shook my sleeves out for him to see, and offered him to check my bag or my sleeves if he felt it was necessary. Instead, he continued to accuse me of stealing, and threatened to call his boss and stated, "My boss is very AGGRESSIVE, you don't wanna mess with us." I felt very uncomfortable, and unsafe, so I immediately offered to step out of the store and wait outside since my Boyfriend was still in the store. As I walked outside, he accused me AGAIN of stealing, and asked if my Boyfriend was there with me. When I said yes, he told me I could wait for him to finish shopping, but I could not enter the store again. Pretty soon after I stepped out, my boyfriend came out, and asked the employee what had happened, and the employee simply said "Nothing. You guys can leave now." I feel that this situation was a racially motivated issue, as I am a latina woman. My boyfriend is white. They were watching me the second I entered, but did not care whatsoever of my Boyfriends actions. I have been driving by this place for years and finally took a minute to check it out. I was immediately greeted by a super pleasant employee that took the time to tell me a little about the shop. I pretty quickly found a doll that was identical to one my sister had back in the 70's. I bought it for a reasonable price and continued to explore the store. The place has a lot of inventory that is not particularly well organized but it did make me feel like you might find a real hidden treasure. read more

Love love love this place!!! I came here for the first time last week and immediately fell in love. The owners name is Judy and she's a total sweetheart. She makes you feel so special and really knows her clients well. There are so many great gems in this place. Beautiful art, jewelry, furniture, clothes, and shoes. There's a little bit of everything, but at the same time, it's not overwhelming. And did i mentioned everything is soooo affordable?! I'm really rooting for this store to hit the ground running! We need more thrift stores in this area and the fact that it's Black owned just adds to my hope that this business takes off. I made a visit on their grand opening day! Great selection and prices. Lots of brand name clothing items, household goods, shoes, books and etc.The store was not quite organized as other thrift stores, but they're still working out the kinks. It's owned by a African Woman and is run by family members. What a great place to support! Def will come back read more
