hello on saturday 7/11/26 i called cook and recieved an immediate response regarding septic drain blockage. a short time later the tech called letting me know he was on the way to my address. his arrival time was accurate . he figured out what the issue was and went straight to work. the problem was solved and gave me a sense of great relief knowing that my poo went where it belonged. the tech was polite ,professional, and curteous , i have used cook in the past and will use them again. on monday 7/13/26 my septic tank will be pumped and empied by cook septic . bob h. read more

I contacted this company for a quote to perform hydrovac work and repair a curb box. Rose took all my information but didn't even have the decency to follow up. Two weeks went by, and I never heard back. If they can't handle basic communication or provide an estimate, how can they be trusted with a job? they didn't show up for the scheduled appointment, called me to reschedule. I left my property for the day, they call me back to tell me they did the work while I was gone. Till this day I don't know if the work was actually done, they contracted lawyers to strong arm me into paying with threats of added costs through legal system. don't use them highly don't recommend, business practices are horrible, It's not like something I can check to see if the work was done by flipping a switch. Cook Jr. Septic Started the job to clean septic tank but couldn't lift couldn't lift a concrete pump lid from the tank and walked away from it saying sorry your problem! They told me to find a contractor. When I asked them for a reference at the very least, they basically said we don't know any. This is your problem. I contacted another company and they came immediately, lifted the lid and fixed the pump pipe all within an hour! I have used Cook Jr. before and they had done a good job in the past. They were reliable as far as showing up on time and being very quick! I don't have a lot of experience with septic service so being that they were the only company I've ever dealt with they seemed very professional. I wish they had just done a little better job of putting the sod back after digging two holes in my yard. Apparently when they first started digging they thought that the inlet was in one spot but it was actually in a another spot. So ultimately they had to dig two holes to find the inlet. Otherwise they did a fine job! read more

Let me say that I somewhat agree with the review below on 4/13/15. I experienced a similar conversation after my services were performed. I was told my tank was 'X' capacity and given the appropriate pump out cost. Then when the work was done, I was told it was the larger 'X' capacity and charged a much higher rate. I have no way of knowing the actual capacity so I have to take their word for it. I did find the service to be very good though. They had to come out to my home twice to first empty my tank and then do some additional required work. They came when expected, left no s**t on my property (pardon the pun!), fixed the problem and despite squashing a flowering plant (or two!)--no real serious complaints. The girl (or girls) that answer the phone are exceptional. read more

Take your business elsewhere. After setting an appointment weeks out, we were given an arrival time between 12-4pm. Nobody from the company called to tell us they were running late, leaving us to make numerous phone calls. The driver called at 6:30pm to tell us he was running late, and asked if we still wanted him to come... who knows when he would have gotten here. Apparently this company doesn't care about customer service. We'll take our money to a company that respects it's customers, and we suggest that you do the same. read more

Chris Cook (who apparently either runs the company or is under the impression he runs the company) was condescending and rude from day one. He has terrible customer service skills and should not be in any position that involves dealing with the customers. As a result of his aggressive actions I'm writing this review. He's emailed me 7 times today (writing in CAPS) and is refusing to let me speak with his higher ups. read more

First off I would like to thank to the people who serviced my septic tank. My family was unable to use any water without flooding the downstairs bathroom so I called every service within my area and no one was available and the only company who serviced us before said they were unavailable till the end of January. We had only had just moved into the property a few years prior when we called the company who serviced us prior located within 15 minutes from us and they charged us over 5000 dollars for our trouble. I was lucky to have found Fred Cool because after learning of our dire situation they sent someone the next day! And they charged us almost ten times less. They were so quick and courteous and I am so grateful again to these people that I hope that if you have anything needing to be serviced to not hesitate to call them cause I'm sure you will feel the same. Today when you get good service I like to let others know because reliable, knowledgeable and trustworthy businesses are hard to come by. I contacted Fred Cook when my Septic overflow backed up. We've had the house for 9 years and been in family for 15 years. I never knew where tank was. I've always had a sewer system. Once I found the overflow. I assumed tank was there are about 10 feet. Steve Ludweig was able to snake the trap/overflow. Everything was flowing. But i still had no idea where it was. Steve was awesome, cool, calm and very professional. He dropped some liquid into trap and with a device he traced it to where the tank was about 100 feet away. Once he was sure where it was. I kept thinking no way its this far out. Now its about 7 at night. He gets the shovel and starts to dig where he knows it's at. I'm saying i will have my men come out tomorrow to dig. But he said not leaving till we find the tank and pump it out. Sure enough after going down about one foot. We found the tank, he removed the heavy door and pumped out the tank. I was very happy with Cook and Steve. Their office Rose, were extremely helpful and explained all the charges before hand. Very accommodating as I called them Monday morning and they came out that afternoon. I am so happy with their service. read more

After making an appointment and having to wait 1.5 weeks, they told me that they would be at my house between 12 and 4. I took the day off from work and confirmed with them the morning of my appointment. Well.....at 4:30 p.m. after they didn't show up and with no call from the company, I called the office. They were very apologetic and told me that they would get in touch with the driver and call me back. 45 minutes later no call. I had to call them back and they told me they were still trying to get in touch with the driver. They called me back 10 minutes later to try and tell me that my appointment was the following day. Really? I confirmed with them that morning. The driver finally got to my house at 6:30 p.m. and he was very annoyed and started to complain about my driveway. At that time I decided to cancel the appointment because I didn't trust that they would do a good job. The customer service is terrible and they don't care!! Go elsewhere. read more
