First let me say that Cheap Snake and Matt are Fast and friendly BUT this time around his technician came in and cleared mt drain and the pipe started to leak. OK fine for another $100 he repairs it and then says it might leak if I hit the pipe to hard Huh??? But then half way through the job the technician asks if I am paying cash or check. My response was Credit card. I was then informed that the Credit card system was down for the last 3 days. So when I spoke to Matt on the phone why was this not communicated. So now I have to find cash or check for the amount of the service. Not Very professional this time around. read more

Manny from Cheap Snake did a fantastic job today. We had a major water leak today, our basement was flooded. I called Roto Rooter....big mistake. They spent 5 hours in my house, wandering which walls they were going to tear appart to find the leak. After 5 hours, I told these clowns to leave. Manny diagnosed the problem in 5', and fix it in 1 hour. It costed me $379 where Roto Rooter gave me an estimate between $10k and $20k. We really need to support small companies like Cheap Snake, they know their stuff. Thanks again. read more

Was recommended by my plumber. Busy signal for 3 days (Saturday through Monday afternoon) don't waist your time.

I'd like to thank Kyle,Sal and Joe. I needed to have my cesspool and overflow pumped and serviced. They arrived on time ..as a matter of fact a little early. They were professional and courteous from start to finish. They answered all my questions and even cleaned up and swept the driveway. I definitely recommend this company...especially to those customers who are quite fussy about their home.. inside n out. Thank u again guys read more

Called in the morning and he was out at my house in the late morning/early afternoon. The pipe was cleared and works fine now.

Excellent service. Professional. Worked the problem to the source and the cost was reasonable.

Be prepared for COD if you use these guys. The guy that called back (when you call them you get their answering service and they have to call you back, no way to reach them right away) told me there was no way he could snake the drain on my rental property unless the tenants were willing to pay for it up front. That violates the terms of their lease so, no. I've dealt with several other local contractors, everything from locksmiths to plumbers to carpenters and nobody else is that ridiculous, they let you send a check. This place doesn't allow that, and doesn't accept credit cards. AND the guy was surly. So beware. read more

I called Cheap Snake on the advice of a friend in the business. No one likes to have their basement toilet explode on a Saturday night (I know you're wondering... was it *really* bad or just kind of bad? You know you wondered. C'mon. Admit it. OK. Just kind of bad. Not the full freak). Things didn't add up- an upstairs drain wouldn't unclog either, so this wasn't a small thing, this needed a rooter/snake. Telling your 4 kids that it will be a normal weekend, just minus anything that involves running water, wasn't an attractive option, so I hoped they could help quickly. I was called back in 5 minutes, Matt arrived in 45, and we had running water draining properly in 90. Fast is good, but friendly, helpful, and insightful are also what you hope you get as well- the source of the problem was located and explained, and now I have peace of mind that this won't happen again for a long time. No upsell. No set up for a future service call or follow up. Bonus: I have an 11 year old with autism. And a huge German Shepherd. Both were REALLY interested in the new guy with the funky machine. You can get the picture. Matt was genuinely patient with the moving parts in the setting, and just made sure my son was careful about the machine's moving parts. Curiosity satisfied, the dog and kid both went back upstairs to groom/contemplate their reachable anatomical apparatus per usual. The price was reasonable, especially given the night/weekend situation, and I am a happy camper. OK, that's not the right terminology- no camping here, because we have running water draining. I am a happy homeowner and will keep these folks in the rolodex. read more

We used Cheap Snake again to help us find the source of a smell and snake a couple of shower pipes. After struggling to find the source of the smell for over a year, Cheap Snake came in to save the day, did a smoke test on our house and on the septic field and found the sources. They did a great, clean job, charged a very reasonable price, and were extremely professional. You would be crazy to use anyone else. We have now remediated our problems and couldn't be any happier. read more

Please do NOT use this company in Yorktown Heights, NY. There's a reason why they are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. The boss, Andrew, is a surly, unprofessional bully who walked away from the job after telling me he could try to unplug my drainage pipe for $200 more than the original quote with no guarantees but assumed I had a 'broken pipe' like the neighbors that would cost A LOT more money to dig. Given that someone had cut through their pipe, I pointed out that no one had cut my pipe. My problem started because the toilet was simply clogged. At that point, he said I was "nasty" & left because he didn't want to work with me. Thank goodness for Rotor Router! Professional from start to finish. read more

I got them to come snake out my system downstairs this week. All went well, it was a pleasant encounter, problem solved. 2 hours later my sink in the kitchen upstairs has standing water after I run the dishwasher. 11 years in this house, this never happened. Called Cheap Snake and reported the situation. He says, it's a complete coincidence, its unrelated to the work we did. I was flabbergasted. He offered to come look at it, but with no hint of concession that it had anything to do with the work they had just done that day. I was upset and just got off the phone with them... and defiantly tried to fix it myself... over three days, with Home Depot's guidance. Very supportive, but I didn't have success after many various attempts. So, out of ideas and out of time, I've got a call in to Cheap Snake finally to ask for their help. We'll see if they cut me a break or not... with "the coincidence" factor.... I've got my rating at 2 stars, pending the integrity of their service going forward. read more

This place was recommended to me by a neighbor and I'm so glad I took their advice. My basement toilet was spewing water all over the floor. I called late on a Friday evening, left a message and within 5 minutes, I received a call back. He told me they would be here the next day, Saturday. Andy arrived on time and was incredibly professional and personable. I told him about the problem and he immediately went to work. He fixed the problem in about an hour and a half and cleaned up so well it looked like he was never there. I cannot recommended this company enough. Great professional service at a very reasonable rate. I would definitely use this company again. read more

Definitely would use Cheap Snake again and definitely will recommend to anyone with a plumbing issue. read more

We've used Cheapsnake for 18 years since we moved into upper Westchester from Manhattan. I call, leave a message, they call back in no time at all, and come right over. They fix the problem. I've called day, night, and weekends. They've been fair in their pricing. Couldn't be nicer people, a family business, locally owned and operated, father and son. We highly recommend. read more

These guys were excellent. I felt like they looked out for us.. Intelligent and smart, and came up with a good solution at a very fair price which was much appreciated in an emergency situation. read more

Requested emergency service for a blockage in drain to septic tank. They responded within hours of the call and snaked out the septic line - even though it required that work be done from the septic tank - not easy or pleasant. Hats off to Cheap Snake. read more

Had to call emergently as my inside main pipe was backing up into downstairs shower. Even though there was an answering service, Andy called me within 5 minutes...set up an appointment for a Saturday no less...came on time, fixed the issue. Couldn't have been better! read more

Just paid to have my outside drain hydrology clean due to a clog. The first guy came out and said he could fit in the space to get it done. Then the equipment broke. He had to leave and go back to the shop for repairs. I get a call saying they were sending out another person. The second guy come out and experience a tough time getting it unclogged. All the while he was out of air. Finally it drained. Now three weeks later the drain is flooded again. I know the drains smoothly when not clogged. No matter how much rain we have. Here fifteen years. So now I call and the owners Andy is trying to tell me we've had lots of rain. I know. But the norm here is it drains when done correctly. His attitude was so what do you want me to do? With " yep, yep, yep' Calling another company. So unprofessional. True. You get what you pay for. read more

I've used Cheap Snake several times over the years and they've responded to my voicemail quickly, they are able to fit me in quickly, and do a fine job. Yes, they're COD, but I don't have a problem with that. I'm sure they've probably gotten "stiffed" several times! When you need to have a drain snaked, they're the guys to call. read more

I used cheap snake twice now, I called and left a message, Andy called us back in 5 minutes. Came here fixed my clogged pipes in 15 minutes, gave affordable price. Great guy and service, will call him again when needed. read more

Used them twice for pipe backing up into downstairs bathroom and the garage. first time was don, fine, courteous, though not cheep. A couple of years go by, same problem. The guy comes, I show him where the trap is but he insists on first looking inside the house for another trap. Ever heard of traps inside family room or office room? Keeps talking to himself non stop, complaining and bickering of everything, eventually unclogged the problem. Charged almost $300.- Less than two weeks later - same problem. I asked to send another guy, but the same one came. Same routine - wants to look inside the house, talks to himself, complaining and bickering, his equipment was not working, couldn't fix the problem, said our septic tank is full. Called the septic company, they confirmed the tank is fine, snaked it and fixed in 5 minutes. Another $300.- Left a message for the owner and never got a call back with explanation or apology. Will I call Cheap Snake again? Not on your life. read more
