Very good pizza! Super crunchy and thin, good ingredients; will def be back eventually! Outside seating is pretty bare
I may have just found one of my favorite pizzas in the city. As someone who loves a pizza crispy, spicy, and adorned with sausage or pepperoni, Fratesi's said say less and offered precisely that at the highest quality possible. With an unassuming exterior and location, once you walk in, you discover one of Miami's most special hidden finds. With impeccable service and a simple menu, we were ready to go very quickly, ordering the special happy hour spritz, caesar tahini salad and half demon pig girl and half San Gennaro and I couldn't pick a favorite. The Tahini Salad was outstanding as well and the Spritz was surprisingly deliciousss! The pie is huge and we had so much left over that for the price I truly think it is very worth it! I also can't forget that we got the tiramisu to end the night and it was one of the best tiramisus I have had, ever. I can not wait to be back, please do yourself a favor and check it out for yourself!
This pizza was awesome! Some of the best I've had in Miami. I miss New England pizza sooo much, so this was a great find. The crust was very thin, crispy, and held up extremely well to the toppings. Limited topping options, but very cool pies. If the review was solely about the food I would give a 4 star. We got one pizza and water, and the bill was $50. That's pretty crazy to me, but I guess that's just eating out in Miami anymore. What we didn't love was that we were told it would be over an hour for a table inside, so we agreed to an outside table because we were so excited to try this spot. The couple who walked in after us who also didn't have a reservation got sat at an inside table only 5 minutes after we got ours outside. I'm 6 months pregnant and it was extremely hot outside, so I didn't appreciate being told it would be over one hour for a table that opened up right away. They also had some very interesting music choices... they played "my d!ck" by Mickey Avalon, and was truly the wildest music I've ever heard at a restaurant. We cracked up, but there were kids inside and I would have been upset if I had my kids there and that song came on.
I waited a long time for the opportunity to go to try this delicious pizza and it was sooo worth the wait! My party of 3 didn't have reservations but we got there early enough to snag a few seats at the bar, which was actually perfect. They had a movie showing (The Mummy) so it definitely brought the nostalgic 90s pizza spot vibes and I live for it. We started with THEE tahini Caesar salad and friends that's no ordinary salad. It is topped with crispy breadcrumbs, tossed in the perfect amount of dressing and layered with bed of freshly grated cheese that just makes you want to devour the entire thing face first, lol. To drink they offer wines, beers and non alcoholic drinks but we got a nice bottle of Prosecco to share. Now down to pies, the Carmelita is heavenly and was our top contender. You don't need to add anything, because it is truly perfectly made. We also got The Pie but added pepperoni and pork sausage. The pepperoni outshined the pork sausage, imo so next time I'll just do the pepp. Also, Vlad took care of us at the bar and gave us great recommendations! Can't wait to come back!
Fratesi's is the perfect addition to Downtown and hits the mark on the food, service and atmosphere. The restaurant is small but feels very welcoming and has an old school pizza place vibe. All of the staff and servers were great as well. For food, we got the tahini Cesar and half demon pig girl and half San Gerrano. Both were delicious. The crust is perfectly crispy and the toppings don't overwhelm the pizza. This place lives up to the hype and I will be back! Be sure to order head or make a reservation though, it is still crowded
We had a great time at Fratesi! A bit of an adventure to find, i suggest parking about 5 minutes away in a garage and then walking. There is a nice old school tavern restaurant as well as outdoor seating. We sat outside. The hostess and waitress were very friendly and accommodating. They let me wait at the table longer while my friends were stuck in traffic. We started off with the tahini caeser. I was a bit reluctant after reading the reviews online, but it is a MUST GET if you like caesar and tahini. The nutty notes really come through and i love the crunchy breadcrumbs atop the fresh salad. The perfect pairing to a any pizza. For pizzas we had the vodka pie and the demon pig boy. We ordered extra hot honey and drizzled it over the vodka pie it is sooo good. The pizza is thin and crispy with no flop. The sauce is properly spiced. The demon pig boy has a bit of a spicy kick. It is very tasty with the pepperoni, chili oil, and peppers. It was a bit too much for my palate, i preferred the vodka. It's nice to have a simple pie sometimes. I would definitely return for another caesar and to try the carmelita!
This place has very chill ambient and vibe, loved the cartoons playing on the tv. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the food was delicious!
Really enjoy this thinner style of pizza. Reminds me of a good new haven style pie! They prepare it thin and bake it hot so the bottom is ever so slightly charred and the results are delicious. The menu is pretty simple with a few salads and a few pizza options - and the pizzas and salads themselves are pretty simple. This works well here, they give the pizza itself an opportunity to shine. Service was good and we were seated promptly at the time of our reservation, which it's advisable to have. Cute ambiance inside is homey and reminiscent of an old school pizza parlor. A good experience!
So so so so so so salty, I couldn't finish my second piece of pizza. I am not sure if we didn't order right but I was trying to figure out where the salty part was coming from and I think it was the dough. We ordered the tahini Cesar salad which was very good. The service was great and everyone was extremely nice the place gave an old school pizza vibe.
Delicious thin pizza!! Loved the vibes of the restaurant and all the old school pictures. Salad had great flavor but could have used a little more dressing. Demon pig boy was our favorite of the two pizzas we ordered. Perfect spicy level! Demon pig girl had more of a watery or wet aspect to it. Both tasty!! Will definitely be back to try a white pizza.
Fratesi's Pizza absolutely lives up to the hype. I went on a Sunday afternoon, was able to walk in without a reservation and get seated immediately at the bar, huge plus. While afternoons are easy for walk-ins, I highly recommend making a reservation if you're going for dinner after 5pm, as that's when they start taking reservations and the place really fills up. We started with the tahini Caesar salad, which was an excellent and a great way to kick things off. For pizza, we ordered a half plain pie and half pepperoni with hot honey, plus a whole pie with sausage, peppers, and onions and a bolted of white wine. Every single slice was delicious. The crust is very thin and very crispy, almost cracker-like in the best way possible. Zero flop, the slices hold up perfectly. The vibe is also a win. It feels like an old-school pizzeria / classic Italian restaurant. Can't wait to come back.
Outstanding New Haven bar pie. Every bite is full of CRUNCH and jammed pack with flavor. There's no flop. This pizza is as stiff as a cracker, but the crust is all pizza crust. Also keep in mind that the salad dressings are homemade and well worth trying. The Caesar salad and a plain pie are my go-to items.
I feel confident saying this was the best pizza I've ever had in my life. We ordered for takeout. The order was supposed to take close to an hour, but we got the "pizza is ready" text within 30mins. My only regret is that I didn't order another pie. I can't wait to go back.

Perhaps the hype has died down since my experience in August 2025, but I found myself thinking that it was not worth the ordeal: painfully crowded inside, we were seated almost an hour after our confirmed reservation time, and the pizza felt a bit underwhelming. Our server was excellent however and the food came out very quickly, but i didn't think there was anything that makes me particularly eager to return. Out of all we tried, my recommendations would be to try the Tahini Caesar and Demon Pig Girl pizza! read more

Very intimate little pizza spot. Perfect for a date night whether at the bar or securing a table. The pizza is great if you like thin style pizza. But I have to say that the Caesar salad stole the show. They don't have a liquor license but they do have a great selection of beer and wine. 8/10 for overall service, experience & food. read more
The restaurant is nicely decorated like an old dinner. The lights are dim and music low enough that you can have a conversation. The service needs improvement. The waitress we had barely came by. We had to stand up and look for her twice to get our order in and to request for sides. The Cesar salad isn't your traditional salad but it is good. The pies were thin crust and flavorful. My favorite was the Carmelita pie. The tomato sauce tastes fresh and well seasoned. As for the demon pig girl and demon pig boy we're not to my liking. I can't take spicy food. read more

I really enjoyed Fratesi's Pizza. The tahini Caesar salad was excellent the dressing was light, and the tahini added great flavor. We tried the new vodka sauce pizza and it was amazing, though I do wish the crust were a bit thicker. The Spicy Boy pizza was also good. We came on a busy Friday night, so the pizzas took a while to come out, but our server was very friendly. We sat outside, not much of an ambiance since it's located in downtown. Definitely recommend. read more

This place is caliente... fuego... insano. A little spot on Flagler that's somehow thriving in the middle of Construction Apocalypse 2026 . Inside? Super nice. Outside? Let's just say... character-building lol. But the pizza? Ohhh the pizza understood the assignment. Thin, well done, crispy like it pays taxes. Service was on point too. I even made myself a white‑and‑cheese pizza sandwich because apparently I have no self-control, and it was hummy perfection. Next time I'm anywhere near Bayfront or Brickell, just assume I'm here again living my best pizza life. read more
Repeat after me- THIN AND CRISPY. That describes the pizza perfectly-thin and oh so cripsy. Now this is thin crust done right- came in on a Saturday night and was immediately greeted and with a reservation was seated immediately. This place is a no frills place and it's honestly not needed you are there specifically for the THIN and Crispy pizza. We ordered the carmelita and our waitress recommended adding garlic and it was yumm. The pizza sauce isnt too heavy and you don't feel heavy after eating which is a plus. Nothing special about the arugula salad but it did look like the cesear was the salad of the night ill be getting that next time i go back. Will definitely be back!! read more

Service was great. Food was fresh. Crust was so crispy. Good amount of toppings. Would definitely recommend to try. read more
Great new Pizza place downtown. Non descript store front opens up to a quaint pizza joint you could come across in NY or NJ serving up a small but delicious selection of choices. Loved the pizza, finally one thats crispy not soggy. I hope it survives with all the demolitions and constructions going on around. Loved having a vegan option but would have preferred if they could offer a vegan option with vegan cheese. read more

the Caesar salad was TO DIE FOR!!! I would go back to have this over and over. So creamy and crunchy ... beyond perfect. The pizza was thin crust which I love but wish they had more options to choose from! read more

5 stars for the pizza. Thin, crispy crust and some really creative pies, the banana pepper one is a must, and the jalapeño option hits the spot if you like spice. We did takeout even with a reservation, but they limit how many pies you can get, and the wait was definitely on the long side. Not good. The Caesar salad everyone raves about wasn't my favorite, but I'll still be back to try it out as a dine in. Parking can be tricky with street closures. Forgot to snap pics of the pizzas, but they were worth it. read more

Fratesi is a bright spot amid Downtown's blocks of shutdown businesses as we await a revival of the area. The spot feels like one you'd pop into in New York with very chill, laid-back neighborhood vibes. We didn't make a reservation so we had to wait about 20-25 minutes or so for the bar, but that was to be expected given the popularity and size of the restaurant. Just know there isn't a place to sit down and wait inside so you'll want to be prepared to stand outside or walk around. The pizza was going to take about 20 minutes to make so our server recommended that we order the Tahini Caesar Salad to start, which was delicious--a different twist on the classic Caesar for sure. We ordered the Carmelita pizza with pepperoni and hot honey and boy did it hit the spot. Their specialty is thin crust--and it is THIN--so if that's your jam, then this place will be a slam dunk for you. read more

Fratesi's Pizza was an extraordinary find! We stumbled upon it on a night out and were very happy we found it. The pizza is thin crust and although thin crust is not my favorite, this pizza was packed full of flavor. We had a Carmelita with a side of hot honey and the combination was a perfect blend of salty, cheesy, sweet, and spicy. The sauce was delicious and the crust was nice and crispy. We had a a tahini caesar salad on the side which provided a fresh and creamy contrast to the pizza. The restaurant itself was nice and classy and made my feel like I was in a NY pizzeria. The lighting was nice and although the restaurant was busy it wasn't loud and we were able to have a nice conversation. Lastly, service was amazing as well. The host was polite, nice, and funny and quickly found us a table. Our waitress was also professional, nice, and very knowledgeable about the menu and helped make the meal enjoyable. Highly recommend this pizzeria to anyone looking for a nice dinner out and will definitely be coming back! PS Sorry for the bad pictures! read more

We didnt have a reservation, put in our name at 7:30 and was told itd be an hour or so and that they would text us when ready giving us 10 minutes to arrive. So we had meandered around and I receive the text, we ran back in 7. minutes only to arrive for the host to tell us we lost our table. So unreasonable, but being we already waited 50 minutes, we said we'd take next available. If youre looking for a pizza margarita, or artisan pizza, or napoli like pizza this is not your place. Its a thin crust with a thin layer of regular mozzarella cheese, both crust and cheese were burned. So if thats your thing, then this is your place. We tried the Tahini Greek Salad, that was good, crisp and had a nice subtle zing to you. we didnt understand the layout of the new place whatsoever, maybe they were testing it out since they just moved? read more

Love it here. The pizza is great and the cesar salad is a MUST HAVE. The service is okay and the restaurant inside is very small. I would NOT recommend sitting outside because the building across the street is completely delapatated and the smells deducting of mold and mildew. They need to tear it down ASAP read more

Miami's pizza game has been going strong lately and Fratesi's Pizza just leveled it up. Their pizza gets high marks for me- Cracker crisp crust, a rich and flavorful tomato sauce, a banging blend of quality cheeses, and cooked to absolute perfection. Great service from calling in to picking up. The woman who helped me was beyond genuine. Be mindful that there is only outside seating (as the restaurant, Tam Tam, is technically closed on Sundays), and it's limited. Most people picked up and left, but I stayed for the Sunday views of the Courthouse. Overall, I absolutely loved it. Their pizza hit so many marks and I'm excited to explore more of the menu. read more

Amazing and the best pizza in Miami in my opinion. Had it first when they had it on Sundays only at Tam Tam and just last night. Very happy quality, taste and freaking delicious crust is still there. We couldn't get a table as we had no reservations but hey we had a glass of wine while waiting and sat in the sidewalk to eat it right away. It was the best experience, good food you can eat it anywhere. Will come back again with a resy or will do the same thing the entire experience was fantastic. Don't forget to order their Caesar Salad as is also worth the hype. read more

The staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant even with the long wait. Definitely make a reservation -- we waited about two hours for a table (our choice), but the team was kind enough to offer us a complimentary drink once we were finally seated. The pizzas have a very thin, almost cracker-like crust -- great if you love extra-thin pizza -- but for me, they were a way too salty and slightly dry. Overall, solid service and nice atmosphere, but the pizza itself wasn't amazing. read more
The only thing I could complain about are the weird shirt water glasses and location. And the first is just being super picky and the second is complete envy of anyone that lives closer than I do. The menu is brief, two salads and less than a dozen specialty pies which make it easier to control quality. I heard again and again how good the Caesar salad was making it hard to live up to the hype. But it exceeded my expectations, live the tahini added a depth of flavor and even my salad hating 12 year old was tearing it up. The croutons, in this case being pulverized into a crunchy topping, were a massive hit. The Vodka Pie was up there with any great pizza I've had in this town. Super crunchy crust with a delightfully creamy top. Very little crust as the filler runs all the way to the edges. Cheese is freshly grated just before serving. Our half Pig Girl/Gennaro was good but didn't quite match the Vodka Pie. Service was extremely friendly and a total team effort as no less than 4 people stopped by our table. Loved the vintage lamps reminding me of pizza joints of the 80's which complete the pizza joint vibes. If Miami ever gets its construction road work act together (highly unlikely), I'll be back often. read more

This pop-up has the vibe of a tavern up north, and the pizza here is delicious. A lot of the negative reviews seem to stem from the long waits, which is understandable no one really wants to wait an hour for pizza. That said, the pizza itself is worth trying. My only critique is the style: the base is more like a cracker with no real crust along the edge. As much as I love extra cheese, a great pizza should still have a little crust to balance it out. That's the only reason I can't give it a full five stars. But service was great and the tahini Caesar salad was fresh, flavorful, and a perfect complement to the pizza. read more

Delicious pizza, we tried each one. The classics and the white pie were superior, the demon pig girl did have too much hot honey in my opinion, and demon pig boy was too spicy to enjoy. Service was decent and they accept reservations. If you like extra Parmesan on the side it does cost extra. read more

Tried both demon pigs, honestly the girl is much more sweeter than the boy. The boy one is pretty spicy (spicy lvl: 8/10), so if you're not into spicy stuff this one's not for you. But very thin and delicious. The ceaser salad was great as well, can't go wrong with this. read more
