The wife and I tried to stop in for a couple drinks but were told we had to order food in order to get a drink. Neither one of us were hungry and im not going to buy food and waste it just so I can have a beer. As we were walking out the classless waitress YELLED at me to put a mask on...even though we were outside and not near ANY people. As I held my mask over my nose and mouth she screamed like a maniac "not good enough put it on, put it on" from at least 30-40 feet away. There was only about 4 or 5 occupied tables who all stopped to see what the screaming was about. As we reached the sidewalk she was still screaming. This time something about being unemployed.... IF I WAS THE MANAGER I WOULD HAVE FIRED HER IMMEDIATELY !!! You dont scream at anyone like that, let alone a customer. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. read more

If you enjoy luke warm pink raw chicken, flat drinks out of paper cups, paper towels for napkins and Customer service the likes of kids running a lemonade stand, Fran's pub is for you! When you first sit down, you are greeted by the fresh smell of garbage and spoiled milk. The cold rusty chairs truly give your back and butt the extra stiffness and pain you have been longing for. The dim lighting really brings out the sparkle of the paper plates you eat your cold, undercooked and overpriced "meal" off of as your flat beverage leaks through the paper cup onto your table. For desert, the manager will scream obscenities at you while he comps the table next to yours order because you kindly told him the food is inedible! So, if you love terrible food, horrific customer service, terrible food, managers yelling at you, terrible food and terrible food... Fran's is for you! read more

Tattoo's, mohawk's, leather & lace... To say New Hope is a melting pot would to it a disservice. Fran's pub is the perfect spot to view it all. They have a large outdoor seating area and an outdoor bar. I usually grab a pizza and a few drinks when ever I get to stop by. The pizza is good and from what I have seen their sandwich's look tasty. If you are drinking outside all your drinks will come in plastic cups. This didn't bother me at all but I know some people don't like it. The service was sub par but not horrible. read more

Fran's Pub is that kind of place you come to kick back and have a beer, order some wings,a burger, sandwich or salad while enjoying the people watching...This is a very laid back casual atmosphere... The bartenders are so nice and friendly. You can hear the rock music while sitting at the bar coming off of the bartenders playlist... Fran's outdoor bar and outdoor seating area are truly the best place around for people watching and taking in a little bit of what New Hope has to offer..Their located right on South Main Street in heart of things...This place does have a loyal following with bikers, and repeat clientele, do to the friendliness of this place and its location. I've been here many times and the people come from all over. I always, always stop here when I'm in New Hope. Fran's Pub has indoor seating as well. They have a pool table and another larger bar inside with tables all around. This is the place I discovered my favorite grapefruit beer called Schofferhofer Weizen on tap. I couldn't remember the name and our bartender knew what I wanted immediately! It is a sweet and somewhat tart beer and it comes in a tall Pilsner glass... Fran's has a nice list of unique shots and speciality drinks they make daily . They offer 100 beers in a bottle including IPAs , and 13 beers on tap.. This time when I was here I ordered a large sausage pizza.. It was delicious lots of sausage and melted cheese on top. The flavor was really good. I have in the past tried their salads and buffalo, & garlic wings, both good. We really enjoyed an afternoon here. It was nice enough to sit outside and the staff was very friendly. We were looking for a bite and some beers just to relax. The pub and the people fit that vibe. Food was good and plentiful, as were the drinks. We'll be back. read more

Went on a Saturday night and got seated in ~20 minutes. The food is about what you would expect for pub style food, but the prices are reasonable and service was great. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and our server Amy was so sweet. The outdoor dining area is also well lit and they have some heat lamps to keep customers warm. Glad to see them doing well during these challenging times! read more

have been twice, very accommodating, friendly staff, good food, short wait time compared to other restaurants in the area. Outdoor heaters also a plus as its getting colder. read more

We frequent here quite a bit. The food is your typical bar food but it's good bar food. The service is usually pretty quick even during the summer when they are packed. One of our favorite things to try is the pizza du jour. We get half of one we know and tell them to give us the pizza du jour without telling us what it is. I have yet to be disappointed. The Hawaiian and the sopressata are two of the top pizzas in my opinion. The nachos with chicken are awesome. They give you plenty of cheese on them as well as other toppings. I'm sure we will be back again and again seeing as it's local and quick, good food. read more

First outdoor dining experience since the shut down. It was a little chaotic and the service was sub par - which is forgiven because of the way things are now. Food was decent, but nothing special. I'll give it another try read more

Awh, Poor Fran's has to write a new smart a#$ reply after they wrote a nice one and took it down. Pretty sad and very bold for at best, a 2 Star restaurant that now wants to take on its customer complaints as if they are made up.....Too funny and quite ridiculous for a less than mediocre restaurant. Fran's be happy in your place of being 2 stars and don't think mocking customer reviews will get you more business and better yelps. That is just silly talk. As I said in the review Fran's needs new management in the front (and definitely the kitchen) and now Rachel S. has proven my points perfectly in her reply that includes a poor attempt at defecting from bad service and food. I like managers that stick up for employees but obviously she overlooks at lot and maybe it is COVID who knows.. Laughably she took down her first review response from last week and then puts up a new one and chooses to attack the messenger....maybe she was threatened by her employees.... LOL Rachel S, you have 100s of 1-2 * reviews that you should make you proud of Fran's mediocrity. You strive for it and appear to do mediocre perfectly. Keep up the great work! The defiled Reuben is simply a metaphor for the whole place really so knock yourself out toasting your Reuben and serving other customer dissatisfying fare to your hearts content :-) read more

BEWARE PARENTS WITH CHILDREN WHO HAVE DISABILITIES!!! I'm giving this place 1 star because there is no lower rating. My family and I decided to stop and get something to eat here while doing some sight seeing in the area my 2 year old was with me and 3 other adults. My daughter has a speech delay and therefore gets frustrated and has a meltdown when she cannot express her needs. I have 2 therapist work with her weekly. While waiting for our food my daughter had a meltdown again due to her delay and a male staff member walked by without stopping and said as he walked toward the door "Can you take that outside we have other people dining here" and was out the door before any of us could even acknowledge what he just said. He was loud and rude and seemed like his intention was to emabarass us. I was very upset and my aunt asked to speak with someone later identified as the owners son. After explaining what happened and how we felt very disrespected and that my daughter has a issue he responded with that's not his problem and proceeded to tell her that if she was going to talk she should have her facts straight before talking to him. At which point I got involved and said back to him this is not how you handle any situation and you dont treat patrons like this ever. The way you are talking to my aunt is disgusting. He walked out no apologies and waved goodbye when told you dont walk away from a customer who is speaking with you. Very unprofessional, rude and no responsible adults there to handle situations like this all young kids with attitudes and no lessons in customer service. God forbid someone has an autistic child and brings them there to eat. If it's not a child friendly establishment then say so on your sign and dont have booster seats and high chairs and please note there was another child in there when we were there so it seems like children are welcome just not ones with disabilities or delays. I dont recommend eating here unless you want to be treated like trash. I spent $65.00 on 2 burgers a pizza and 3 drinks... you think somebody would have given us a break on some of the bill considering how we were treated but I paid it in full and still left a good tip. ****UPDATE**** My aunts daughter called the pub and asked to speak with the owner now we know where her son gets his manners because the owner started yelling at my cousin on the phone when she called to make the owner aware of how her staff treated a toddler with a disability and how her mother was yelled at and my aunt has a heart condition and was very upset over being yelled at in the restuarant. No apologies offered yet again just a fresh mouthed unprofessional but this time it was the owner of this poor excuse of an establishment! Pathetic!! read more

The hot sandwiches were not hot, the service was very very slow. The portions were very small for the price. Been going here for many years, but this is my last time All of the parking next to the restaurant is motorcycles so the smell of exhaust is overwhelming. read more

Absolute worst restaurant EVER!! Went there today and it took long to be seated and they weren't crowded. No kids menu. Asked to send mozzarella sticks back and replace them with wings and they never came out! The waiter said he would only come a couple dollars for the mozzarella sticks. They were absolutely horrific and not eaten! How do you mess up mozzarella sticks and get charged for them. Had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. My husband threw up after the meal! I have never been to a restaurant this bad. Sometimes you'll get bad service or a bad meal occasionally, but this was our first time at the restaurant and they failed on both. read more

The service was amazing. The selection on the menu was fantastic. The one downside was the artichoke dip it just wasn't very good but the fries and Mack and chees so good. The pizza was pretty good for a Pennsylvania one. If u see this place i 100% recommend read more

I'm not the type of person to leave a bad review for any business. However, I have never in my life been treated so poorly by anyone in the service industry.. Soo here goes: The new owners of Fran's are two young kids who shouldn't be allowed to manage a port-o-potty, let alone a bar and restaurant. The drinks are AWFUL, the only drink worth buying is a beer because they can't mess that up. One of the owners screamed (legit) at me for having a beer which I purchased in Fran's, he "thought I walked off the street with it" umm no- just walked from their outside bar to the indoor bar. Side note: I was dressed up after attending a wedding, I wasn't drunk, and with the way the owner spoke to me, you would've thought I was a hammered bum. I was with a large group of New Hope natives who assured me that this is the new norm for Fran's and that they never plan on returning either after that incident. What owner of an establishment yells at a girl for literally no reason?! If only I could leave 0 stars. Never going here again and I sooo look forward to seeing them go out of business. read more

i have not eatn at Fran's in over a year. got the usual, garden green salad $7 and hot turkey. What I got was iceberg lettuce and crap deli turkey. The manager told me they changed things on menu. so I guess changing for the worse and lower quality is their new mission!!?!? Will never eat there again lunch was crap. The salad should be $1.50 and was no better than what on gets at a pizza parlor, no greens, just iceberg garbage. If this is what Fran's is now serving among highly competitive new hope great restaurants, they will eventually fall. I like the outside cabana and one can smoke and relax, but drinks are pricy and they measure the alcohol producing very weak over-priced drinks. read more

Fran's Pub would be one of my favorite places on Main Street in New Hope, PA. It's comfortable, good food, and good service. Our waiter Chris was awesome. Really nice guy, knows everything off the top of his head. Food - I ordered a cheesesteak hoagie. It was pretty good but I wished they stuff it a little bit more. Still a great sandwich though. My wife had a pastrami sandwich which was good. I really dislike pastrami sandwiches that are stacked with just meat and mustard. It's so unhealthy and disgusting... My nephew had 2 orders of their garlic wings. I wish I can describe it to you but I can't, little guy hogged all of it and didn't share one wing with any of us. Drinks - They had a few beers on tap. I wished they carried a wider range of ales but I could settle for they have. Verdict - I'll definitely be back again next time when we visit New Hope. Some of the other restaurant/bars aren't as family friendly as Fran's Pub. I'll be sure to try their garlic wings next time and give all of you guys a updated review. read more

This place is a disgrace to New Hope. It's dingy. It's dirty. It's low class. We ate here during a day trip. Our server Taylor (according to the receipt) was the rudest, snottiest, inattentive waitress I have ever had! Yesterday was Mexican night and I would have liked to have seen the menu for it, but she never mentioned it. She however gave it to the other tables which is how I found out about it after our order was already placed. She wasn't knowledgeable about the menu. She asked me if I still needed to know the answer to my question n huffed n puffed and walked away when I said yes. The food....well horrible. $28 of horrible food. The grease in the fryer needs changed. Therefore our waffle fries were ruined. The charge extra for mayo. The pizza we ordered was stingy on sauce and toppings. I will never eat here again. I hope it goes under. read more

Nice atmosphere, but the food doesn't stand up to par for the type of place they're trying to be. The wings were dry and overcooked with not a lot of meat in them. I ordered the Mexican burger and it left much to be desired. It was just really greasy with some tasteless cheese. It had decent guac on it, but it was drowned out by how otherwise mediocre it was. I added sauteed onions myself to make it less boring, but they were in these huge chunks because apparently their chef isn't very good at using a kitchen knife. Also, my fries were cold and stiff already at the moment my food arrived. To be 100% fair, my girlfriend's taco salad was pretty good, although the steak in it was a bit dry. The finish on the wood table was all messed up, so the whole table was sticky. They should probably use tie-down table cloths until they get that fixed. read more

I can't remember the last time I had such terrible food. We were looking for an affordable place to go to in the area. Most of the restaurants on the main street are pretty costly. I wish we had decided to spend the extra money and go somewhere nicer. I had a vegetarian pizza. There was no flavor in it at all. I had to sprinkle a ton of garlic, oregano, and salt. My sister got a chicken finger sandwich. Dry, cold, chewy bread and barely any honey mustard in it. if you're looking to save money, skip on a nice meal later in the week and go to a fancier place. You have lots of other restaurants to choose from down the main road. read more

POOR BUSINESS OWNERSHIP!!!! So recently, my husband, aunt, myself and my medical assistance service dog (with harness and county tags) walked into this little place hoping to grab lunch. My husband and I were visiting from out of town and obviously if we are qualified to bring our dog on a plane with us, we are more than qualified to eat with him.... he is a trained service dog...Anyways, upon walking in this man ran up to me yelling, "Get out, no dogs, I don't care if he is a service dog, prove it, prove it prove it, just get out".... 1). That is illegal to ask me to prove it, even though I offered to show him his task, tags, and harness he was wearing 2) You cannot deny me service because I have a service dog He literally got in my face and was yelling at me. Not only did he refuse to let us sit on the patio, he refused to let us in at all. Eventually, I pulled up online the LAW about service animals, and he continued to yell at me calling me a liar, and publicly humiliating me. Eventually another worker finally came over and looked at the county given tags and offered to seat us, but by this point I was in tears so we left. No one apologized or even tried to make it up to us, they just blew it off as if he was always an asshole. I am considering filing a suit on these assholes for not allowing me to dine, but it truly is just poor character on their part. I don't know how their food is, I know their service sucks and that man needs to be fired. Not only were we shocked, but others in the restaurant chose to leave after the way they treated us. It truly was appalling. Nevertheless, we renturned home to cali, and don't wish to ever visit Fran's Pizza Pub , or New Hope ever again....He killed it. PLEASE STAY AWAY, and don't support a business that discriminates. Thanks read more

Tried couple different sandwiches over the years and nothing has stood out me as different or anything out the ordinary. Food is just ok. Your better off going to other places on the strip like Havana that have MUCH tastier food and better service. Also the Crab Legs there got me sick twice and I'm not allergic. Would not recommend getting these. They come out cold. If you even dare to let someone have a bite of your crab legs they will charge you twice for the dish. Can't believe a restaurant would do that, but it happens there. I DO NOT recommend spending your hard earned money at this place. New Hope/Lambertsville is a beautiful area with many great eateries and people who wait on you. Fran's is regrettably not one of them FYI- they do accept AmEx read more

Having several choices in the area we picked this this place because of the nice outside seating. That saying. The food was just OK. My burger didn't have all the ingredients on it that were advertised in the menu, the waitress looked at me like I was nuts when I complained my bacon and blue burger was missing the bacon. Rolled her eyes when we asked for water. Had to get another waitress to run my credit card after waiting for ten minutes. read more

I've been coming here for over two years now, it's a new hope gem. Amazing drinks, food, and crowd.

For a town like new hope you'd expect accepting people the waitress was very rude and CLEARLY racist. This disgusts me and I had to go to the bar to ask her to place my order which she proceeded to give me a nasty look and said I'll be there then walked right past me to my table with my family who very clearly is not fully American which she talked to as if they were kindergarteners. Disgusting women with terrible service I can not be more dissatisfied with the service here I wish I knew her name. I would like to add when I went to the bathroom I heard the same waitress/bartender say make sure that son of a bitch gets extra extra blue cheese. This is how they talk about costumers. If the owner sees this and is wondering she's got a pink shirt on and she's a bartender on the outside. read more

The food was just ok. I came here to listen to my friends band and had drinks and appetizers and I was hesitant about eating here at all. My son and my boyfriend got REALLY SICK from eating at Frans during the summer. They had the BBQ & a Hamburger they said. About the place itself, I think they need to restructure & update. Its kinda run down and there isn't much room to listen to live music. They need to open that bar area up into one big room. The drinks were great though. I can't remember the bartenders name but she was very nice & attentive. If the owner would do some updating and take some pride in being in a upscale area that would be good. I gave 2 stars only because of the bartender otherwise I would say Frans gets 1 star. Why oh why would you have such a run down looking place in New Hope? I think they should be made to update the establishment its just shameful on the inside. read more

Frans!!! After my parents moved to New Hope from NJ, I was a bit shocked when they suggested Fran's for lunch. I was sure I'd seen the place full of bikers wearing a lot of leather (my parents are white yuppies). I was literally afraid we might be run out of the place... Well I was wrong! Fran's was great and welcoming. Perfect for lunch or dinner, especially in the summer when you can eat on the ginormous outside patio. Quality food (great sandwiches), good selection of beer, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. read more

So let me begin by saying that the only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of our server she was awesome. This place is kind of a disgrace to new hope. Which is a shame because they have the best if not the second best ( Havanas being 1st) location in new hope. But it is being so under utilized. So let me get to it, so me and my girlfriend went there to grab a bite to eat. She brought me here because she used to work here and she claimed the food was good so I thought I would give it a try. (She was a server and made very poor money because the place was always slow). So we sit down and asked for water and they give us these little paper cups, which is fine for a pizza joint, but not in the middle of new hope! Regardless, we ordered some nachos as an appetizer, I got the turkey burger and my girlfriend got the chicken parm sandwich. She enjoyed her sandwich, but I couldn't bring my self to take more than 3 bites of my burger. It was nasty. I'll put my life on it that it was just a frozen burger they pulled out of a box and slapped on a shitty bun. The nachos were gross too. I spent about $45 after tip for the shittiest meal I have ever had! If I was you I would go somewhere else in newhope and spend the little extra $$$ it's worth it The only thing keeping this place alive is its drinks. Their food is horrible read more

Very popular spot with the bikers who just love to ride into New Hope. In the summer months they have an enormous outside seating area and bar. The only downside is if you sit too close to the street, you get a face full of exhaust when the bikes start up. Service has always been good (our waitress last night was awesome) and the food is good. Inside there is a pool table, juke box and another bar. Definitely one of the spots to hit when bar hopping through New Hope. read more

Frans pub in new hope is a good place if you want to eat and drink outside. The only issue is their food isn't great and is a little pricy for bar food. Also their inside area is pretty dumpy so if it's too hard or too cold it's not a place I'd go to. Their staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful. My only warning is a lot of biker gangs tend to hangout at Frans so it may not be the place to take a family if you don't feel like dealing with that all afternoon. read more
