I go to Frank's whenever I visit my daughter in Pottsboro. The staff is friendly, the space is immaculate and the food is great. Now it's nothing fancy; just tasty, filling food served with a smile. I have sampled their burgers, fried catfish, onion rings, fried okra, chicken fried steak and coconut pie.....not at the same visit. And all were delicious. I did not experience anything overcooked as another poster mentioned. Occasionally they will run out of something, which is a bummer when your heart and tummy are set on it. If you leave here hungry, you must have a tapeworm, because the portions are beyond generous. They also have kids/seniors options for smaller appetites. All this yumminess, and kind to your wallet. What more could one ask for? I sure wish they would relocate to Mobile, AL!

We had breakfast here for the first time on Sunday. I was really impressed with their biscuits and gravy. Their gravy is truly amazing. We will definitely be back. kind of shocked that they were out of Mx for the waffles but everything else was fine. Great staff clean place will be back.

The maple syrup isn't real maple syrup. It was either a blend, or maple flavored corn syrup.

We went on a Saturday around 9:00, parking lot was pretty full. We found a table immediately and were greeted within a couple minutes by our friendly waitress. I ordered the chicken and waffles that was described as being served with maple syrup for $9.99, my grandtwins ordered the pancake (2) breakfast, and waffle (1) breakfast- both with hashbrowns, 2 eggs and sausage or bacon, each for $9.99. (Or only $4.99 without the sides.) Food was good, service was great, the establishment was very clean (granddaughter was quick to point out they had the "cleanest bathrooms she'd ever seen") ONLY ISSUE: The syrup is high fructose corn syrup, NOT the stated maple syrup mentioned on the menu. (Corn syrups tend to cause stomach issues for me and the grands- my grandson and I paid the price later that day) All in all- I'd be happy to go back, knowing more and being better prepared.

We stop in here every time we come to LakeTexoma. The food is consistently good and the service is great. We sometimes get it to-go so we can eat at home with a view of the lake. They have a wonderful breakfast menu and our other faves include the burgers, hamburger steak & fried okra... good comfort food with generous portions. read more

Fantastic made-from-scratch cooking with friendly service. We're staying at Tanglewood for a couple nights and decided to give Frank's a try. I'm sure glad we did! We started with chips and salsa - chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was delicious. I had the fried catfish with fries and onion rings and the wife had the steak finger basket. Everything was made fresh in house - not frozen or from a supplier. Catfish breading, hush puppies, onion rings and fries were outstanding. Steak fingers are huge and delicious. Would have loved to try the food. it is a Sunday just after noon and obviously under staffed. I saw three waiters and 6 empty tables. The empty table were all in a state of recently used and not bussed. "Sit where you like" was what we heard as we entered. We chose a six top as we had five of us. At some point before our arrival they had removed the dishes but didn't wipe the table. We sat without any approach or welcome for 15 minutes. I've been there twice now and, along with a friend, tried several items. The chicken fried chicken and the fried catfish were really good. The mashed potatoes are from scratch and would be right up there with the best except they were cold both times. The onion rings were perfect and okra the same. The restaurant looks very clean and our servers were sweet and efficient. read more

Frank's is a hidden gem (well thanks to Yelp not so hidden). We walked in and the place was clean and we were immediately greeted. My son loved his kids cheeseburger and it comes with all the fixins. Daughter's chicken strips were great and served with gravy from scratch. My husband got the chicken fried steak and I had the chicken fried chicken. Portions were large and we left very full and happy. If only we had saved room for dessert because their pie list looked amazing. I saw this place recommended on Facebook this morning and suggested we try it. It was excellent! It's a very clean place and the staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The guys had the catfish special. I had the classic cheeseburger. We were checking things out so we tried the hand cut French Fries, hand cut chips, onion rings, okra, and sweet potato tots. If you miss this place, you'll be sorry! It is from scratch food...and it is MORE than worth the drive! Amazingly delicious food! Chicken fried steak was the whole plate and enough to take home, or split. The catfish was thick with meat and tops the chart as being the best ever! read more

My husband and I went and had breakfast here. This is a hidden jewel. Great Great biscuits with gravy. Large melt in mouth homemade biscuits. Breakfast was also good. We can't wait to go back and have their country fried chicken steak and catfish, homemade onion rings and fried pickles. Looked wonderful. Desserts are homemade. Very clean and great service. This was a horrible experience. We waited 45 minutes plus for mediocre food. Our server was rude and continued to have an attitude throughout the whole experience. She did not apologize for her behavior or our wait and cold food and at the register she provided us with a sassy comment not even a "have a nice day" or a "I am sorry". The service was not ideal nor the food. I will not be returning. This was an hour out of my life I will never get back. read more

The table in the side room already had food and every table that came in after us had already gotten their food. Poor management, poor service and lack of attention. Also, I noticed the person plating food in the back had no hair covering, no gloves, and kept touching her face while handling everyone's food. Sunday is a busy day, lots of groups some are large. The place should be staffed properly for the business and management should be walking the dining room making sure everything is moving along smoothly. 1 star is all you get, should be negative 5.

This place just took over Mo's grill. If your looking for…read morethat great American lake food. It's not here. They are going very cheap on quality. And adding Tex mex garbage to the menu. The owners have a Mexican restaurant in Sherman. Unless burgers pizza and fried green tomatoes are on there way, we are not coming back. Food quality is less than par.
