Highly disappointed in Franks pizza tonight. My family and I are Oak Ridge locals and have been going to, ordering out, and enjoying Frank's food for over 15 years. Tonight, my mom and I ordered take out. The lady delivering had her back turned, practically walking away the second my mom opened the door. Then, when I picked up my straciatella soup, the container was covered in oil/broth causing me to drop the entire thing. I also ordered sausage, peppers, and onions, a dish I have had countless times. There were zero onions and the container was barely full, it was honestly sad. My mom's pasta dinner wasn't much better. We love Franks, but will definitely think twice before going back! read more

Went to lunch at Frank's with my sisters recently. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, we may have been the only people there! Anyway, I had a panini-Frank's Special-which had Chicken, eggplant, fresh mozzarella (I left the roasted peppers off). It was really good and the fries that came with it were extremely good! One of my sisters had a Shrimp Parmigiana Sub which she loved. My other sister thought she was going to eat light. She got 1/2 of an Italian Wrap and Frank's Special Salad, which is a meal in itself with grilled chicken, grilled eggplant, fresh mozzarella, and roasted peppers over greens! Can I give no stars? Figured it's been about 5 years since I ordered from here even given the fact I live less than a minute away. Well tonight was a clear reminder why it's been 5 years. The large cheese pizza came as a pie of cheese soup, crust was doughy and hardly any sauce on the pie. It is by far the worst pizza I have ever eaten. We order takeout from here a lot as this is one of the only places that delivers pizza to our neighborhood in Stockholm. We mostly order pizza but have ordered entrees as well. The entrees are good portions like a typical old school Italian place and come with a soup or salad and garlic or regular bread. When we've stopped in, there is always a good selection of specialty slices to choose from. My one complaint is that on a Friday or Saturday night, delivery can take a while. I usually order through the Slice app so it may be them and wouldn't dock points from Franks for this! read more

Couldn't give this place more than 1 star tbh! I order a chicken gyro via slice and they send me some sort of dark meat, maybe beef, maybe lamb. I call them to report the issue and request a refund and was told I would have to go through the Slice app because they couldn't handle that issue. At this point, I ask them what could they do as a business to remedy this poor service they are providing and immediately request a chicken gyro with no tomato's! And I could hear a Hispanic female in the background asking "le cortó?," which means, did they hang up? I did not hang up but they did. I called back and was lucky enough to have the phone call answered by the same female that asked if I hung up, and advised her that I did not hang up, but they did! The lady issued a half-ass apology and said the chicken gyro with mo tomato was on its way. They really seemed to be uninterested in remedying their mistake, and to be honest I am uncomfortable eating whatever they decide to send me! So moving forward I'll be ordering from somewhere else, I recommend you do the same! read more

To be honest Frank's pizza is amazing the waiter was fast Pizza was very good (you should try it) and it was big. people say that delivery takes long but they have to remember they have to make the food and then go and there might be a lot of traffic but you should try it. the place is beautiful I like it a lot and the owner is a amazing kind person so if you have the chance you should try it, the ambiance was amazing too, they had some calming little song, it's a five star restaurant I don't care what anyone says.trust me and I've never found anything bad in my food it was really tasty best pizza I've ever had and it was crunchy you should give it a try! read more

I feel like a lot of the other reviews are unnecessarily unkind. Franks has great pizza, great salads, and the rest of their food is generally good whenever I get it and I eat here every few weeks. I discovered their garlic pizza a few years ago and it's amazing and its one of my go to dishes! They always put so much garlic. I'm upset to have to revise my review of this restaurant. When I moved in 10 years ago, the quality of the food and the amount of food given at take out was above average. Over the years, though, this place has unfortunately gone downhill. My most recent take out chicken parm dinner order was beyond awful. They gave me two tiny, and I mean tiny, pieces of chicken, and they were chewy, fatty, and nearly inedible. The pasta that came with the dinner could've been eaten in three or four forkfuls. I was livid and brought it back that night. The owner/manager gave me a refund, but said that "no matter where you buy the chicken, there's no guarantee of its quality." That's just a ridiculous excuse, and they should be ashamed. The pizza is still pretty good, although not as good as it used to be. Something changed a long while back with the sauce, I believe, and it lost that sweeter tomato flavor it once had. It's now a darker color and tastes that way. I will no longer buy dinners here. Pizza, occasionally. Overall, and this is the truly unfortunate part, I've found myself buying pizza and Italian from restaurants outside of town instead. It's a sad state of affairs in Oak Ridge when McDonald's is your surest bet for quality and consistency. Clean up your act, Frank's. Whatever you were doing ten years ago...do that again. read more

honestly, franks used to be a local favorite. Over the years I've watched it go completely down hill. Not only is their food unappealing and unappetizing but their service is bad too. Went here to Valentine's Day, I ordered shrimp parm. . I ordered the lobster bisque soup, it was like water. When we order fried calamari. With garlic bread , the waitress walked away without any plates????I had to get up and ask someone for plates. My friend ordered chicken with peas and broccoli the broccoli peices were huge not even broken , it looked like they just dumped it on her plate instead of being mixed in with her meal along with the peas...I'm Italian and I just can't get over the food they serve here.. the pizza and subs is good but if you want a good Italian meal go to Randolph Fortes.... I can't explain why we decided to give Frank's ANOTHER chance, but we did. We just ordered a pie from them and it was absolutely the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Stale, hard crust that was burned in parts, and half of the overly chewy cheese fell off before I could even eat it. I truly hate to be so negative about a business but we paid $19 for this pizza and it was totally inedible. We've eaten here many times. Usually prompt and service is good. But take out is another story. I'm not sure they understand me over the phone or always in a hurry to hang up. Slow down when taking the orders as to not make a mistake. It's the worst feeling when you get home and find out your missing or received someone else's order. Went here wife my wife last night. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich and a chicken Cesar salad. The sandwich was 2 huge pieces of bread and 3 very small piece of chicken w buffalo sauce... no lettuce, tomato, cheese, or dressing accompanied the chicken. The salad had a hair in it. I've tried to like Franks pizza not tasty at all. So, I decided to order Cavatelli & Broccoli, Chicken Parmesan a Panini & chicken fingers. $89 dollars later. I said how bad can you mess up. Well, I opened the dinner up & looked very creamy ?!?! I never seen that before. Kinda looked gross to be honest. It's really pasta broccoli oils & garlic. I tasted it & it was like they threw a can of the condensed cream of chicken in it. I saw the slivered carrots in it. It had no flavor at all. Mush no garlic flavor at all!!! Ordered a pepperoni calzone and large pie, horrible. Firstly the calzone was precooked and then cut a entire circle on the bottom of the calzone to then add and stuff the pepperoni so then when you go to eat it all the filling falls out. I'm convinced the lower ratings are from people who are just spoiled by the land of good pizza. I took one look at the pies my friend's husband brought home last night and I knew Frank (whoever he is) was going to rock my world. I was right. The cheese oozed and stretched. No skimping there. The mushroom topping (wait, I like mushrooms?) was plentiful and just flavorful enough. The crust was perfect. Some of the oils from the cheese soaked through the top of the crust making it even more delicious. Decent pizza but nothing special. I used to go to another Frank's... and then they started popping up all over the place. Quality seemed to drop after that, and this restaurant is no exception. I would eat the pizza from there, but only really the specialty ones. The deep dish (not true deep dish though) pizza is good (especially the Chicken Marsala), and their sandwiches are also good. The pizza was old and the staff is very unfriendly they barely smile or say hello to you they need to change the glass on the sneeze guard we can't see anything through it so scratched up the place a very dim and it looks like it needs to be gutted and cleaned. The pizza was a little old and it needed more cheese. Frank's usually have a huge display at this place really only had like four pies on this but it was kind of telling me that they are very slow and they're not turning over the pizza quick enough I don't recommend this place to anyone how are you find a different spot. Stay far far away!!! Ordered a large antipasto Saturday night. Was very specific in my order, no roasted peppers, extra dressing and all dressing must be on the side. Verified this again before giving my credit card number. Went to pick it up and once again asked that there were no roasted peppers, extra dressing and all dressing on the side which the cashier verified. Got home and their was no dressing at all! Huh!!!! Called to complain and got a girl who said she had my receipt and it said no roasted peppers, extra dressing and all dressing on the side. She then added "well I see you were charged for extra dressing". I explained that we would just use oil and vinegar as I was not going to go back out for dressing. I asked that she inform the manager and she said she would. I verified that she had my telephone number. Well 2 days later just checked my credit card bill and was charged the full amount with no refund for the dressing. We decided to try Frank's again and were once again very disappointed. Had lunch here today. Brandy our waitress was wonderful and helpful with what to get. The tortellini white pizza slice was delish and practically a meal. The salad with grilled shrimp was very fresh. I believe they did away with their BYOB policy too. I've migrated to TJ's in the next plaza for better service and IMO better pizza.
