I needed an oil change, spark plugs, an air filter and some other basic maintenance for my Mercedes Benz. The staff here at Franks were so kind and thorough. Roy was the one who manly supported me through this process. He was patient and made the process smoother by answering all my questions. They also buffed out two areas of my car which had minor damage for free. read more

I just got the car back and really haven't gone anywhere so hard to say if the mysterious issue is totally resolved but... Just moved here and our 2013 meticulously maintained Panamera was exhibiting bizarre electrical behavior. Alarm going on and off. Dashboard going haywire. Called them on Monday morning and was able to come straight in. By the afternoon had analyzed and recommended new battery (it's about 6 years old) because analysis revealed low voltage issues and they said that the weird stuff is commonly attributable to low voltage. At the same time recommended a few scheduled maintenance issues based on carfax maintenance history. Agreed to take care of those few things as well. Had car back Tiedsy afternoon at 5. Dealer would've taken me 3 weeks to get in and they'd have kept the car a week and charged me triple. Frank's was great. Super friendly and shuttled me home and picked me up to retrieve the car too. Very happy to bar found these guys on yelp and they had nothing but great reviews. I believe that lived up to the reviews. read more

Awesome service, quality techs and reasonable prices. How can you go wrong?!!!!!!! I have to write some more stuff according to yelp but that sums it up! read more

Great, trustworthy mechanics here who do quality work at a fair price! I'm new in town and friends recommended them highly. They did not disappoint read more

Honest, friendly and efficient, Frank's is the best! I've brought my imported Japanese van to them over the last two years and always left with superior results and feeling confident in the service they provided. Everyone on the team at Frank's Foreign Car is awesome and super helpful! From Hector at the front desk getting my paperwork sorted to Hugo diligently inspecting and working on my car to Joe making sure nothing falls through the cracks, these guys are all at the top of their game! I drive a 1995 Toyota Townace and when other garages refused to even let me bring it in, the team at Frank's always found a way to work on it, whether it was a routine oil change or putting together a new starter after oil leakage. They were also frank in their advice regarding both repairs and potential new purchases. The best garage I've worked with in my 10 years driving Japanese cars - and that's not even their specialty! I can't recommend them enough! read more

I'm giving 4 stars here because they did a good job on what I asked them to do. Brought a car in for one thing, and they did a great job fixing it. I did not ask to check the brakes, but they did as "part of the service." Recommended brakes and rotors and estimated $640 for the rear. Out of curiosity, I double checked this with a shop down the street and they said yes, I needed brakes and rotors but did it for $365. Hmmmmmm?!?!? read more

On March 5th I was introduced to Franks Foreign Car Service. This place is beyond friendly, fantastic prices and the turn around time is excellant! dealing with joe on buying a car from out of state has been the best car buying experience i have ever had, with ANY dealership. even better than being in a dealership in person. if you're going in, ask for joe. 10/10 experience read more

Amazing service! I understand why they weren't able to take my car in for a few days they are always packed with customers for a reason. Dropped my car off before work and it was done by mid day and all fixed up like new for a great price. They went above and beyond to explain things and were honest about other things that didn't need immediate attention instead of trying to take my money. Will definitely be bringing my car back here! Nicest guys! read more

not the first time I've had a car repaired at Frank's. The last time was about 10 months ago. A rather extensive repair. My point is, a couple of weeks ago, I experienced a problem with a tire pressure indicator. Franks. without hesitation promptly stood by their guarantee and replace the part at no charge to me. USAA is right in placing Frank's on their "Star List" of auto repair shops. Don Echelberger read more

Honest, helpful, knowledgeable. These folks went out of their way to help when my BMW warned me that my oil was low and engine damage was imminent (thanks to an incompetent oil change place that didn't put enough in the week before). They topped me off, checked the alert to make sure I was good, educated me on how to take care of my Beamer, and didn't even charge me for the trouble. I live in SD but am seriously considering driving up here the next time my car needs service. Thanks y'all! read more

If you're a woman, come here! I felt so well taken care of at Frank's. Hector explained my car issues very clearly and was happy to answer any questions I had. He was patient, friendly and knowledgeable. My A/C is now working wonderfully and they resolved other issues caused by another mechanic at Ford. Pricing felt fair, repairs were prompt and I'll 100% go to Frank's next time I need a service. read more

I was driving on the freeway by San Clemente and I could hear something dragging on the road from my car, so I pulled off and found this place. They pulled off the piece of plastic from the bottom of my car that hadn't been properly secured after an oil change and they showed me it was broken in half. Then they showed me that my tires were completely worn out and that it wasn't safe to be driving it. They were very accommodating and very efficient and probably saved me from an accident on my long commute. Joe and the other guys were very helpful and I would definitely trust them with my car. I highly recommend there services. read more

I went to have just a window regulator repaired, they called me with tons of work that my car needed that totaled $5000. I refused most services, and got what I came for. I told them that my car wiring is all connected and they would have to reset my car so no problems arise with the new window regulator. They agreed with me, and told me they reset my vehicle. However, I moved just after i got it fixed and not one month later my other window which had no problems before, is now experiencing issues because they did not reset my vehicle electrical system correctly. If this is your livelihood, your business, then why not get it right? Now I can have to pay someone else to fix something that never had an issue before. Please guys get the job done right read more

I just can't say enough good things about this place. They serviced my Audi Q7 a few months ago for a reasonable price, with walk-in service and a great attitude. I just came back for a quick checkup on an unrelated issue (my electronic key not working) and they got me in and out in 10 minutes with no hassle and all smiles. In my experience, when you come here, you pay only for what you need, when you need it and not a penny more. This place is a welcome upgrade from any other repair center I've been too in the past. read more

Excellent service! Hugo and Joe are always there to make sure my BMW stays running in mint condition! Somehow my drivetrain belt snapped on my BMW even though it was replaced 2 months ago. Franks is by far the best I've seen yet! Local, honest, fast, and you won't get a better price on the work to be done. I don't just write good reviews for nothing, these folks deserve it! It begins with my 2003 Nissan Pathfinder which developed an oil leak in the oil cooler. Over time, it got progressively worse! I tried a couple of places in town, and good places at that. The first quote was around $750.00 for a new one, $500.00 for a refurbished one, and I thought that maybe I'll just put some cardboard under the truck, and add oil as needed. That was until I took a chance with Franks. My first point of contact was a gentleman whose name is "Dan". Friendly, outgoing, and professional. He said "just bring it down", and we'll check it out. I did, and a couple of hours later got a call saying that they could rebuild it on the spot which involved a couple of "O" Rings, and a gasket. Are you ready for this? $160.00 bucks out the door. Leak gone! They pointed out a couple of other leaks as well which I will have them correct in the near future. And get this! After I had arrived home, I noticed that my wheels where shiny bright, and tire dressing as well. Then it dawned on me...OMG They washed the entire truck as well. These folks have it covered. They do sales, and leasing as well. They are a medium sized facility that may cause some to think "just another mom and pop setup" WRONG! If you want fast, courteous, affordable, and professional attention for you, and your vehicle, see Dan at the front desk and tell him JT referred you. If you're even contemplating going elsewhere...Don't. The money you save will enable you to go out for a night on the town right here in San Clemente. Thank you again. If there were 10 stars, that's what I would have chosen. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!!! read more

Went in because my check engine light and coolant light came on while driving on the freeway this morning. Turns out I had a crack in my coolant tank and they fixed it for $125 and gave me a car wash! The staff is really friendly and helpful and mad the experience non stressful, considering the fact I normally have bad luck with automotive shops. Some of my coworkers have also come here and had an amazing experience! Definitely check them out! read more
