Bought a car a month back and went to get an oil change found out had a leak. You know not bad. Take it in to get it looked at turns out I have to get a new transmission and new coolant system cuz oils been leaking into it causing it to rust up. Highly don't recommend buying a car from here but if you do take it to get a full inspection. Also had a light out told them bout it n they never fixed it y aunt for taking the vehicle with a light out but having then tell me it already has been inspected and lying to me is unsat. Definitely won't be buying a vehicle from here again. I didn't call the dealership back because they told me during signing my contract that I could do a 3 day trail where if I don't like it I can give it back and get my money back. BUT I'd have to pay them to get it back in their lot which would cost a couple hundred. Also got told when I didn't accept that deal That any problems the car had they would no longer cover because I would be the owner. I really wanted this to work out. Thought I found a great deal on a Tundra. Owners were friendly, nice and helpful. Went to get it checked out and it was a HUGE no go. Bent Frame and other monkey business to cover up issues. Honesty up front would be nice, along with being nice. Buyer beware, always get car checked by third party $100 to save $10,000. read more

What started out in a good conversation ended up with rude and inconsiderate customer service. Spoke with Alan and Dave about the 4x4 Tundra they had listed. Pictures of the vehicle were great and truck looked flawless. Discussed priced with Alan and came to an agreement. I drove almost 2 hours to check out the truck only to realize that the complete underside was rusted beyond repair. The frame was rusted to flakes. Obvious bad buy. Which was ok but what upset me more was Dave's attitude towards me after pointing out all these negative things about the truck. I was basically told to leave if I don't want to buy it. Super unsatisfied with the customer service. The owner was good to work with but I don't think I'll be referring anyone to this dealership ever. I would stay clear of this place unless you know what you're looking for and know what to look at. They seemed perfectly ok with selling a vehicle that I would deem unsafe due to severe rust. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP......my nephew & his wife bought a used 2008 Jeep Liberty from this place back in August. They just found out today, from a local mechanic, that the engine is blown The water pump had been sealed with silicone!!! Unfortunately, they paid cash for the car and signed an "as is" agreement in the contract. They did however go back to the dealership to see if they would do anything and were told "do what you gotta do, buddy"!! I do not understand how people out there can do something like this too hard working people and not have any conscious, or regret, about it at all!! Aren't things bad enough in California without knowingly ripping people off like this? read more

Awful customer service & lemon cars!Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy, if I could rate it negative stars I would. Ok so I was shopping around for a car, the car search didn't seem to end I finally found a car that I loved, the destination was far from where I live but with the good reviews I figured it would be worth it, boy was I wrong. There were a few people who returned from test driving their cars that day, I was not allowed to test drive alone, they sent their janitor/amateur mechanic with me, struck me as odd because everyone else had driven alone but I figured maybe it was because of my young age?. Anyways the car drive was smooth & I loved the car overall so I decided this was it & Bought a car with a few minor things like "keyless entry" not working, David assured me that would be fixed all I had to do was go back when the mechanic was going to be in (a weeks time) I was also told I could not take it to my mechanic to have it inspected or my one month warranty would void, but the car was in top notch condition so I "didn't need to worry" . On the drive home the "service tire monitor" light started blinking I figured with low profile tires that's expected, a week later more lights started coming on, I called David who assure me this was "normal behavior" for used cars and nothing was wrong but that they would check the codes for me when I went back. Drove all the way back to San Clem which is about 1 hour & a half from me, David no longer was "Mr. nice guy" he didn't greet me the way he did when I first met him, instead he brushed me off & introduced me to the mechanic who then took me to my car & asked what the problem was. I informed Allen (the mechanic) that my car had all these lights coming on (check engine, service hybrid, check trans) also told him about my locks, he proceeded to check my tires and took the car into the garage. I asked if he could connect the computer and he connected a small device & informed me there were no codes, iffy I sat back as he changed my brakes & tires (only lasted a month after, had to buy all new tires & replace brakes) he also "checked my oil" which he said was fine, not sure if he was aware of the indicator in the car that let me know the oil life was at 9% anyways he said my locks were "something I can, live with" & sent me on my way. All the dashboard lights were off for about 3 miles & came right back on. I called David who let me know I was "not a mechanic" & that the car was fine, so I decided to take my car to a mechanic who found 12 codes on my car(too bad for me it's at my own expense) Thinking the ordeal was over David calls me exactly a month later & lets me know my plates have arrived, I drive all the way back to San Clem, my tags expire in 3 MONTHS! This place is disgraceful to say the least, they sell lemons & are not very friendly after they've made their sale. David loved to boast about their good reviews which he could not live up to. Anyways this place is a nightmare & if I could redo my car search I would & I would not waste my money or time here. Nothing but headaches & money out of your pockets. PS: After washing the car a few times I noticed some sun damaged paint. No big deal just thought I'd mention it. Not everything that shines is gold. read more

Was told by the owner "$650 means nothing to me, (Indicating that is all he would make on the sale of this car, I highly doubt that is all he would have made) I don't have to sell you a car. "I was told this after wanting the key fob to work as advertised. Was told this by the owner after putting down a deposit on the vehicle and traveling over 400 miles without a way home, under the assurance that "Everything works on this car" without any problems. In addition there was a dent on the side of the car and the back bumper had made some kind of contact with something at some point. i.e the paint was cracked a bit. None of these things were on the ad. The salesman tried to make it right by offering to pay 1/2 of the cost for the key. It seems the owner does not respect his customers or value them. I purchased a vehicle here a little less than a month ago. Seemed like an easy deal. Not a lot of back and forth over the sale. Got the car for the price that I thought was fair. When buying a used car you really have no idea what you're getting unless you're a mechanic. When talking with the salesman he assured me that they have mechanics on site and that they thoroughly inspect and fix the cars for sale. Within a day after purchase I notice that the rear passenger door lock does not work. This wouldn't normally be a problem but I have a car seat for my son that goes there. The part costs around $170+labor. I called the dealer and he said they would look at it. I live about 50 miles from the dealer one way so I haven't made it up there yet to see if they will actually fix it. A week ago I was driving driving home from work and the brakes started grinding, metal on metal. For someone who said they have mechanics on site that inspect their vehicles, they must have missed this one. I had to pay $330 for brakes and rotors the other day. I haven't even got the license plates yet and I could be $500 in the hole on this one. The brakes are something that every mechanic looks at. So either they knowingly sold me the vehicle with worn pads or they did a bad job on the inspection. I know it's a used car but I expected a little more. I hope there's not much more wrong with it since they didn't even have brake pads that lasted a month. read more

I went here after getting the run around used dealer woes from some other places in town. Expecting the same thing, i was pleasantly surprised when I met David. Not having great credit, he was honest about what he could do for me and up front about what he needed from me. He got me into a great vehicle with low mileage the same day, which was incredibly important as i had a trip the next day. Granted, that's the sort of service you should expect from a company, but unfortunately that's not usually the case when dealing with a run of the mill used car dealership. Here's where it went from good service, to exceptional. Two weeks later, I noticed a noise coming from under the hood. I took the car in to have them check it out for me. After investigating, they established that it was the tensioner pulley for the timing belt. The timing belt itself was still in good condition as was the water pump. The vehicle was still 15,000 miles away from the service time for the water pump and timing belt. The owner of the dealership asked me if I wanted to split the cost of the water pump which was $85, and he would pay the rest of the cost of the repair since the service date was coming up soon. That is epic above and beyond customer service. Especially considering when I looked up the cost of the repair and the lowest price I could find was $600. I will be referring all of my friends and anyone i know looking for a car to David at san clemente auto gallery. Thx David. read more
