I have always brought the cars of myself, and family members to 'CAARS,' since we originally got our Saturn's from Saturn years ago. I brought my Saturn in towards the end of last year to have the coolant light checked out on my car. The coolant light would not turn off without coming back on rather quickly, so i brought my Saturn down to have them check out what was the issue, and make the necessary repairs. It took them a few tries to find and locate the problem, but it was totally worth it. When they started looking into the source of the problem they discovered multiple parts that were broken, or close to being broken. They gave me the choice of the most critical parts that needed to be repaired, and were listed on a print out so I could choose which parts could be done sooner, and some father down the line in the near future. Vince, Dan, John, and staff always do a great job repairing and fixing our Saturn's when an issue pops up, and when an issue unexpectedly pops-up. There are a couple of parts that were getting close to breaking down, so I would rather get to those repairs (If I can), before anything goes wrong when I'm in transit somewhere. They found a fan that was coming loose besides the coolant among a few other things that were broken, or breaking down, and made the appropriate repairs. Needless to say I was, and am highly satisfied with the work that was done on my Saturn--I can easily tell when I drive my car--that it has much more power when accelerating, and it's noticeably smoother when driving. 'CAARS,' has high quality repair work, and a quality staff that Vince has retained--which shows in their quality, pride, and workmanship while keeping the price, timeliness, and value worthwhile for their customers. read more

I was limited to find a mechanic for my car which had to be towed and I could only tow it within 7 miles with my AAA membership. AAA did recommend / approve this mechanic so I felt good about that. In the end, they did do a very nice job and they were very professional. read more

Staff was very personable, quick work, and easy to drop off! Will be back for future work.

This business is the best!! I've been in several times now over the last few years and, each time has been a super experience. The guys have been honest, fair with estimates and pricing and, performed the services requested with quality. They have also been very timely and efficient. I've never had any issues with any of the repairs or various services. I can't recommend highly enough! read more

My dearest's outback decided to go on the fritz suddenly. After researching several auto mechanics decided on CAARS. They were fast, great communicators, and for all they did, the cost was reasonable. Grateful we found honest, reliable auto mechanics in our new hometown. Highly recommend! read more

CAARS worked on my 2010 Jeep Liberty that was towed there by AAA when I broke down. I have had my car worked on at CAARS 1 time before, and was hoping to trust them to do a great job. Although the car maintenance was not an easy job with parts delayed and extended time spent at the shop, Dan and Julio from CAARS were extremely communicative and flexible with me. As someone who was anxious to get their car back, Dan handled the situation with the utmost understanding and customer service, communicating with me every step along the way. He went above and beyond, giving me knowledge everyday on the vehicle. He and his staff did a great inspection for me of its overall state and GREAT prices for the work that was done. Extra shout out to Julio and Matt for being willing to speak to me on their days off. Love CAARS, will absolutely be back and will recommend to friends read more

Did a wonderful job helping with me with my alinement when most couldn't. Did a great job too. Will be coming back in the future!

I've been here a couple times. There always seems to be confusion at the front desk. The last time I had an appointment at 9:00. When I went in the guy seemed like he couldn't find my appointment. All I wanted was oil change and a tail light bulb replacement. I had told them I needed back the same day because I had to drive to L.A. the next day. The guy now said I couldn't get it back until 5:30. I asked what time they closed. He said 5:30. I did not feel confident. He told me it was after the weekend so they were backed up. It was Tuesday. I left and stopped at Niguel Auto Service in Laguna Niguel. They took care of everything right away. I go there from now on. read more

I have been to Caars multiple times now for various reasons and I pretty much won't go anywhere else. They never treat me differently or try to convince me into random services despite being a woman. They are extremely communicative, speedy with their work and always explain the issues in depth as if I fully know what they are talking about. I really can't recommend them enough. I think their work is great quality, they always ensure getting your full consent before doing any work and answer any questions no matter how silly they might be. They have never made me feel dumb despite me not knowing the most about cars and their quotes always match what I see online. My license plate was crooked due to debris hitting me on the freeway and they straightened it out without me even asking and for free! I can't recommend them enough! read more

Got alignment done here and they did an amazing job! I have gone to 4 other places including the dealership and no one could align it correctly but these guys did it without complaining and did it perfect I will always be going to them now! read more

I came to Caars for an alignment from a referral at the Costco tire center. They provide a discount for Costco members. The business park is full of automotive shops and is in a huge industrial park by the train tracks in San Juan. Red flag for a single lady, abort mission! But, rest assured, everyone here was very helpful and pleasant and made me feel very safe and welcomed. More impressive was the restroom. With a place full of dudes with greasy hands and dirty shoes, it was absolutely spotless and fully stocked with supplies! It had toilet seat covers, 2-ply toilet paper, touch less paper towels, and Meyer's lavender hand soap, WOW! Not to mention, the bathroom had a tiki bar island theme. Overall I was very impressed with the customer service, the pricing, and the timeliness of the service. It's near the Costco I go to, so when I purchase tires again, I will definitely return for an alignment at Caars. Erik and Dan were amazing, thank you so much! read more

While I did not have work done on my car at Caars, I did receive terrific help from Julio with regards to my late model Chrysler Sebring. The back window wasn't working and he took the time to locate parts and give me an honest estimate. I appreciate all he did. Will definitely keep this place in mind for the future. read more

I needed to rims for my car. They told me it would be $170 each per rim. I thought wow new rims cost a lot. The kicker is, they gave me used rims. I told them ahead of time that I could pick up a used rim in Santa Ana for about $60 each. They said they can't accept me to bring my own rims. Now I see why. These guys are price gougers. When I called and asked for Dan to ask him why used rims cost me $170 each, mind you they're only 15" rims for a small Honda Fit, Dan elected not to come to the phone. If you don't mind getting raked over the coals then this place is for you read more

I have a 20 year old vehicle making scary front end noises. Already seen by two other mechanics. After one call to CAARS & relaying my concerns for drivability safety they brought me in quickly. I asked for them to "triage" my car issues because of its age and many repair costs made up to this point. Not only did they relieve my concerns about safety, but they helped me understand the next steps I should take BEFORE having them do major repairs. I felt 100% covered with them. I will be bringing my car to them after my next steps, even if it's not with my treasured 20 year old baby. I hope it will be though. Real Good people! read more

The metal that holds my battery down rusted off and was causing my car battery to arc and it was really scary honestly!! my car would shut off and the last night I drove it there were sparks coming out of my hood. We called and had my car towed to CAARS and the guys there were very very nice, called me with updates and were really transparent with the repairs. I ended up getting the new part which they ordered, oil change and a transmission flush, and my car runs sooo smooth now :) I'd 100% bring my car back here, not only was the service great but the work done was also amazing!! Dan also reached out to me for a follow up which I appreciated, shows me that they do really care read more

I have always had the worst luck with mechanics!! So I am always VERY apprehensive when something goes wrong & I have to find a new one. After lots of research & review checks, I brought my Ford Explore to Caars. DJ made me feel more then comfortable over the phone & even more so in person. Vince who fixed my car called me before doing any work & gave me two quotes. One that would have my car running & one with his recommendation of having it running even better. I thinks that's so amazing with how tight times are for people now a days. The final cost of the repairs ended up being so fair & it's safe to say I am more then happy with the quality of service at this mechanic! 10 stars to Carrs!! Thanks DJ & Vince:) read more

After the third auto repair shop told me they could not fix the exhaust issue in my 4runner (manifold replacement), the last one referred me to Caars. They provided an estimate and did the work for the estimated amount. I even got a follow up text a week later from Dan the service manager asking if everything was going OK. I think that's the first time I've ever had a follow up from an auto repair shop! Highly recommend. read more

My car was taken to Caars by a Collision shop doing repairs for me. They worked on replacing a tire pressure indicator battery. It took them two days to replace that battery and test it. Way too long. Then when the car was returned my custom tire pressure chrome stems were missing replaced by 3 plastic black caps and one tire was missing a cap altogether. I know it is a small detail but it is sloppy work. If they are not careful in the details then I am not sure if they are with repairs. I returned to the shop to ask if they would look in their shop for the custom chrome caps and was told by the guy at the desk that they would not even take the time to look for them and he dismissed me. Again sloppy work and terrible customer service. I wouldn't trust them with any repairs. read more

I have been extremely satisfied with caars! I have had an alignment, oil change, air filter replacement, and wheel spacers installed. I took in my truck for alignment and they serviced it fast. Great prices for services.

Caars squeezed me in same day to look at my AC. They found a leak and took it upon themselves to call the dealership to get me more information on the issue. They discovered that my vehicle had an extended warranty for the air compressor and I could get it repaired at no cost at the dealership. They provided me with a contact at the dealership as well. They are so wonderful at CAARS. Extremely trustworthy and their customer service is top notch! I cannot recommend them enough! read more

I've been a customer of Caars for years. We recently bought a used car which unfortunately turned out to need extensive repair work. DJ kept us in the loop as repairs went forward. Just picked up the car yesterday and the car runs like a top. DJ and Vince were amazing to work with as they made the painful reality of buying a used lemon a little less painful. CAARS; Honest, fair quality shop. I have taken many cars here over the years and have always been pleased with the results.

CARRS is our family mechanic. Fair prices, good service and most importantly, trustworthy.

My daughters VW CC was draining the battery and I couldn't get into the dealership so ASA recommended CAARS and they took good care of me. I appreciate the honest and open way they conducted themselves. Everyone who answered the phone and greeted my when I came in were a pleasure to deal with. I would go back there without reservation. I have routinely between 5-7 cars at any given time and have been bringing them to Caars for all my service needs for close to 12 years.
