Great vibe, super service, and awesome baked goods and coffee. What more could you want.

I have been meaning to stop by here and finally had the chance. So glad I did! Very cute shop. Lots of options and great customer service' Had their iced coffee which was great and my S.O. had a cortado and was a fan. Also got a peach scone, however didn't realize till I left that it was blueberry. But didn't really matter because it was delicious and one of the best scones I've had in awhile. Definitely have to stop in for lunch.

I love their English muffins! I can't find any where else that has better English muffins than the Bakehouse. It is a great spot for breakfast and lunch. All the bake goods are great!

    Tuna Salad on Sourdough

Franklin Bakehouse opened after I moved away from the area. I wish it were open when I lived there because I would have stopped by often! I ordered the tuna salad sandwich on sourdough with a side of the orzo pasta salad. The orzo salad was okay, but I probably wouldn't order it again. However, the sandwich was delicious. I loved the fresh sourdough bread, and the tuna salad was awesome. I was very tempted by all of the baked goods and fresh baked bread. They have bagels, scones, pastries, and muffins, as well as sourdough bread and baguettes. It all looked amazing, and they even had a little bin with day-old pastries for $1. Their menu includes a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads, and they offer coffee drinks. The inside is small, and they don't have a ton of seating. They do offer a small selection of groceries, as well. I'd recommend stopping by if you are in downtown Franklin!

My wife and I love the bakehouse. It has a cute feel inside, friendly staff, and delicious food!! The sandwiches are always great, they brew 8th and roast coffee, and their baked goods are hard to beat! Price is a little on the high end but you'll leave happy you went! Definitely check it out!!

Absolutely worth the 4 visits I made here in two weeks....everything is adequately so fresh and tasty that it left me wanting more. The sandwiches I had on ciabatta bread were out of this world. The different flavors of coffee exploded my taste buds. If you are in Franklin for a visit this place should be top of list.

    10/26 bake? I got this on 10/28...

I'm not sure if I just went on a wrong day and time but the staff who helped me wasn't that friendly. I wasn't sure if the sourdough bread on display was for sale, so I walked up to the counter and asked for sourdough. The woman at the register told me - you can grab the one over there or I can grab it for you - there was an awkward pause.. and I just ended up saying - 'oh okay! I'll go grab the one that's out already'. She didn't crack a smile nor was very friendly.. it was as if I was asking a dumb question and she didn't feel up to helping.. When I came home and opened the bread (I got it yesterday on 10/28) and was disappointed again that the bread was baked on 10/26. There was no way for me to know that before opening the bread. I would think if there is 'bakehouse' in the name - you'd get a same-day bake? I guess not... I would expect fresh sourdough when it's labeled so.. at least mark the bake date on the outside too :( it's deceiving. The bread was just a-okay. Not that fluffy of a sourdough. Pretty dry. Bummer because I can only get good bread out here at a farmer's market and many of them have moved out of town because of the change of season.. I can get a freshly same day baked sourdough in California for 8 bucks at a super high-rated bakery. Come on... 2 day old?

Ratings Husband - 4 star - roast beef…read moreSon - 4 - alligator Me - 3 - burger Sides - fried green tomatoes & red beans & rice. I got outvoted and they got a 4. Husband got the roast beef. He enjoyed it but thought it was too much bread. He prefers when they pull some of the bread out. It had debris and that's probably why he gave them a 4. We shared a side of red beans & rice. He thought the flavors were nice. I did not. It was like playing a game of find the beans. It was overly spicy and resembled a sausage soup. I've never had soupy red beans & rice (that barely had any beans) before so I wasn't a fan. Son got the alligator and fried green tomatoes. He really liked the sandwich. It looked like it had a nice amount of gator in it. The fried green tomatoes were overly spiced (come on not everything in Cajun food is a heat bomb - I'm from New Orleans so I know my Cajun food). Having said that - the tomatoes were done right. Not greasy and the crisp was good. Me - burger and this was where things went sideways and they lost a star. I have food allergies. I very carefully pick places where I can eat and make sure to stress what I cannot have. It's nothing crazy. Seafood, dairy, eggs.... so I chose the burger with no cheese. I don't like pickles or onions so asked those be removed as well. It comes out, no cheese. Yay! But it had so many pickles in it! I spent a good amount of time deconstructing it. Then there was the meat to bread ratio. 1/3 of the sandwich was just bread. I wasn't a fan of how they placed the burger on it. I thought it was a good idea to make a burger po'boy but the burger should have been placed differently or something. So between the "find the beans" soup and the mostly bread burger? I had to give them 3 stars. Ambiance - typical mall restaurant. Service - solid 4 star.
