Stumbled upon this sandwich and bakery shop while out this morning and was not disappointed! It's a small but mighty spot for sandwiches, breakfast bites, bread, and baked goods. The second you walk in you are met with the aroma of delicious cookies, breads, and muffins. The breakfast sandwich I ordered , the Pig in a Blanket, was fresh, hot, and tasty! Although they don't have any indoor seating, they have an outside table and chairs and the food itself is worth taking back to your car if you need a place to sit and eat. The service was fast and friendly and the cashier even offered us in a sample of a new seasonal cookie. Highly recommend this bakery and will for sure be back soon! read more

Great Harvest Bread - Bakeries Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

Calling all carb lovers! Great Harvest Bread Co is an ideal establishment to grab a portable lunch or a rustic loaf to bring home. If you're into dips and spreads, they offer a variety of soup mixes, syrups, honeys and jams meant to pair with spreadable cheeses or to serve as a charcuterie board accoutrement. They also sell some adorable kitchen decor. I regularly order the baja chipotle turkey sandwich and cheddar biscuits, but what keeps me coming back is their pumpkin muffin with chocolate chips. They make it in a tea cake to take home if you are in a sharing mood or just prefer this indulgence sliced, warmed and topped with a thin layer of melted butter like I do. read more

We LOVE Great Harvest. The owners and staff are loving and kind, and have treated us like family. The pumpkin chocolate chip muffins in the autumn season are to die for, as well as the cinnamon chip rolls. The sausage tortellini soup is my personal favorite, and I have eaten a giant tub of it all myself because it's so good. Everything about this place is warm and lovely. Covid review: Amazing customer service! Such a friendly staff! I would add more stars if the system let me! I enjoyed a hometown vibe and it felt like I was a guest in someone's kitchen! They have a delicious lunch menu! It's very healthy with soups and a variety of sandwiches to choose from. Lots of take home options for making dinner or baked goods in your own oven! That makes you look like a rockstar without having to do all of the work! I'll have to remember that next time I have a date or a family dinner or something, so I can do less and impress ! They are doing a great job following the cdc guidelines, and all the food is wrapped. Sorry to those of you who are old enough to remember the free slice of bread or samples they used to hand out. Obviously they have to keep everything safe these days, and they do a great job! Yet they haven't lost the personal charm! Proving that you can still be safe and friendly at the same time! I wish all of the businesses operated like you! It was heartwarming and refreshing....and oh soo good! read more

I ordered pick-up a few weeks ago for my friend and I. Upon entering, I could see how kind and warm the woman behind the cash register was to each customer. Unfortunately, their printer wasn't working so they didn't see my orders come in. They were so apologetic and even offered me a cookie for the hassle! I wish I could remember the woman's name behind the counter because she was such a gem, truly so good at genuinely connecting with costumers. I got the tomato soup and cheddar biscuit and both were quite good! read more

Oh how I wish I lived in the area and yet, then again, I'm glad I don't because I would weight 400 pounds! I believe the man that greeted my aunt (local) and myself was one of the owners. He was letting us know about their breads and cookies, their wheat, butter and all the amazingness going on in there. It's just the type of place I would have LOVED to have found to train, learn, & work in my teen years and older even! I wish I could put the whole place in my suitcases and carry it with my family as we relocate to Yuma. EVERYTHING we tried was wonderful. My toddler loved the cranberry orange bread like nobody's business and with her going thru a growth spurt, I was grateful to have found something that she liked and that I felt comfortable with giving her that was healthier and well sourced. Keep up the amazing work guys! I can't wait to visit you again!!! read more

I've only been here one time and all I got was some white bread, but let me tell you something... that is the best damn white bread you'll ever eat! They also give out free samples and they seem to be a family-operated business which is cool. read more

Ohmygoodness! I'm embarrassed to say it took me almost a year of living in Green Hills to pop in to Great Harvest Bread! The best vegetarian sandwich of my life on honey whole wheat bread. Note - I'm not a vegetarian but it sounded delicious! Their chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal cookie, muffins and bars are INCREDIBLE! The staff is incredible friendly, caring and personable. My husband and I came here passing through Nashville. A very nice young woman named Lauren took our order and was very sweet and interpersonal! She helped us figure out what to order and chatted with us while we waited for our food. I thought this place was really cute and homely. When our food was ready, a young man handed it to us and apologized for the wait, "we make our food with love" The food itself was really good. I had the chicken sandwich with tomatoes and lettuce with tomato bisque soup. Their soup is made from scratch, and it is the best tomato bisque I've ever had! Overall very satisfied with the professionalism and kindness of the staff as well as their food! read more

Delicious chicken salad sandwich but the best part was the bread and the inch of crunchy veggies inside too.

I can't believe I waited so long to try out bread from this bakery. They have a calendar each month that tells you what special breads they'll have on each day. Super helpful if you're a regular! On my visit, I picked up a low-carb whole wheat loaf which lasted me an entire week+ (and out of the fridge/freezer) AND it was incredibly delicious and healthy. The bread itself was very soft and dense. I also noticed I didn't feel bloated after eating a few slices... haha. I also tried their oatmeal cookie - HUGE and amazing. I grabbed their cinnamon bun without the frosting and it was perfect for my next day's breakfast. I will definitely be back often to try the other loaves. Friendly staff, simple interior, perfect breads! read more

On top of all that my sandwich was just fantastic. Best grilled cheese I think I've ever had. My husband purchased a Groupon for this place about 6 months ago. Due to my husband's deployment, I forgot about it until Groupon emailed me about it. Turns out it expires today. I called them up to see if they would extend the offer (NOPE). I then verified the Groupon policy as follows: What happens if my Groupon expires? All is not lost! Once a Groupon reaches its expiration date, it loses its promotional value, but you can still redeem it at the price you paid for the length of time stated by gift certificate laws in your state. (Which, by the way, is 2 years) The manager insisted this was NOT the case and I would not be allowed to use the Groupon for any amount of money, even the amount that I paid for ($5 for $10 worth of stuff). Suffice it to say I will not step foot in this establishment.... ever. Great customer service, Great Harvest. Bravo. read more

Super friendly staff who entice you to try their breads and goodies and even suggest which butter to pair with your sample. Breads are hearty; we often ask for unsliced so we can make thinner slices at home. Muffins are wonderful and varieties change daily. Brownies and scones are worth a special trip. Ask for a card if you plan to buy breads, rolls or muffins often. Oh, did I mention the rich and tasty cookies? And the daily cobbler- like confection is w real treat. read more

I just wanted to walk into the place to take a look around, but I took one smell of the place and now I'm having withdrawls. I must have gotten there too late in the day, because I don't remember glanceing a cookie, but all of the loaves of bread looked amazing. They were presliced and packaged in lovely little bundles. We picked one up to have some with a warm super dinner, and it was ama-zing. It had the perfect texture, as far as bread texture goes anyhow. Go and buy a loaf now! read more

This bakery cranks out good wholesome breads and rolls, bread you can buy at Whole Foods and Kroger and other markets in the area. But that's not the reason I pop in there after yoga class. It's their dag-gone oatmeal cookies. Big, tasty, chewy, sweet, and offered with or without raisins. LOVE these cookies. Totally addicting. I look at it this cookie fix like my daily serving of oats, like a bowl of oatmeal. Yep, breakfast never tasted better. read more

Who doesn't love Great Harvest? The breads are fresh, unique and yummy, and the other baked goods are truly decadent and creative. I can't go into Great Harvest and not sample at least 3 different items, including breads, scones and those incredibly delicious oatmeal cookies. I came in on Valentine's Day and sampled the cherry chocolate chip muffin and absolutely could not leave the store without one to share with my sweetheart on a sweet day. Rather than purchasing the muffin alone, I decided to pick up lunch for myself. I purchased their lunch special, which included a turkey sandwich and a choice of two: chips, fruit, cookie, muffin and a soda/coffee. For less than $7, it was a great deal for a sandwich AND that amazing muffin--along with a decent cup of local coffee. I wish they'd have put a little more on the sandwich so I could justify eating all of those delicious carbs by balancing them with more protein and veggies, though still finished my meal feeling very happy (it was definitely the muffin that brought on my happiness) :) I wanted to try the Irish Soda bread around St Patricks Day, but I came too late in the day. Great Harvest, make more ISB for SPD! read more

Who doesn't like bread? If you say you don't like bread, we all know you are lying. Well, if you want to explore you love for bread, take a gander at all the offerings at Great Harvest. We stopped in looking for a challah, and while they did have some, it's wasn't the best I have had. But they did have plenty of other carb filled offerings. Cookies, bread, brownies, etc. The guy working behind that counter was really nice and welcoming. I can't wait to check out some other their other offerings. read more

Great Harvest is a great little bakery for rolls and bread and such. I am fairly new to the area, and was looking for some fresh rolls for a cookout I was having at my grandparents house. This place happened to be within walking distance, so I checked it out. They have a good selection, and the rolls were delicious and definitely very fresh. Fortunately, they were well priced also, I would say pretty damn cheap for the quality. For the time being, I will be getting all of my fresh baked breads and rolls here. The staff was also friendly and courteous, and didn't stare at me like I was an idiot as I probably deserved because I spent a long time choosing between 4 different types of rolls. read more

I love the bread from Great Harvest Bakery. I like to go early and get unsliced loaves fresh out of the oven. It reminds me of my childhood in the Caribbean. You have to try their halla and spinach-feta bread. They are delicious. You can tell that the ingredients are quality. The bread stays fresh and the employees will give you extra bags for freezing if you need it. They are very friendly. Always a great experience. read more
