Everything is made fresh and comes piping hot to your table. The service is always great, friendly and the ambiance is nice and cozy with a convenient location right off the freeway in Sunnyvale. Tucked in a corner of a small plaza, Frankie is an unassuming restaurant that I wasn't expecting too much from but I was intrigued by what frankies were so decided to give it a try. So glad I dragged my friend here-- it was delicious and I'll be back! We ordered the chicken lollipop and the meat was super juicy, fell off the bones, and the skin had that perfect crispy bite with just the right kick of spice. Based on other yelp reviews we got the Hakka noodles added chicken, the chicken kebab Frankie, and the chicken lollipop. Once you choose what you want to eat, you order at the counter. There's a side bar that has plates, cups, utensils, to go containers, so it's all self-service. Chicken kebab Frankie - 5/5 - this was the best dish and tastes like a butter chicken wrap Hakka noodles with chicken - 3.5/5 - tasted pretty good and large portions but quite oily Chicken lollipop 3.5/5 - skin was well fried and some pieces were juicy while others were a little dry. Pretty oily as well All the dishes come with a small dish of some sort of chili oil. I do like that all the flavors in the food were pretty strong. That being said, they are all prepared in an oily manner and you won't feel great after eating it even though it is tasty in the moment. I usually order a wrap/frankie during lunch to go. This is one of the best Frankie (wraps) I have had in a long time. I highly recommend the chicken Frankie at this restaurant. They add just the right amount of sauce and it is always flavorful. One of the other feature is the egg in their non vegetarian Frankies. The service is quick and there is plenty of parking. Stumbled across this place when looking for a new place for South Asian food. Frankies? Never heard of that. So we decided to give this a try. We walked in to a mostly empty restaurant on a recent evening. I suspect that this place does most of its business at lunch given its location close to many businesses along Lawrence Expressway. We saw some things on the in-house menu that we didn't notice online, namely a chow mein samosa that sounded really intriguing. Alas, when we tried to order it we were told that they no longer make it. Searching through Yelp, it appears that this has been the case for several months. Time to update the menu, folks - you're just teasing us now! Anyways, we ordered some chicken kebab frankies, carefully avoiding the chili option on the menu because our spice tolerance is shamefully low when it comes to Indian food. However, we were stunned by the level of spice in this presumably milder version. It was really quite spicy, and unfortunately did not have much vegetables inside to offset the heat of the chicken. In retrospect I do wonder whether we were given the wrong version of this. Still, the chicken was moist and tender and the flavor (inasmuch as we could discern through the heat) was good. We also ordered the Hakka noodles. This was good, but the noodle consistency was softer that I would prefer and tended to break when eating with chopsticks. There was a little bit of spice to this, but nothing compared to the frankies. Service was friendly and the person taking our order offered some helpful suggestions. The vibe indoors is more of a cafe. We were given the menus for browsing and requested to order at the counter when ready. We found an interesting item Veg Chowmein Samosa. Unfortunately, it wasn't available. We loved the Chicken Lollipops, reminded us of Chinese cuisine restaurants in India. New restaurant alert! My wife told me about this place yesterday, and I originally thought we'd check it out over the weekend. But sometimes, the Indian in me starts craving 'snacky' street food at the oddest hours - so there we were at 2:30 PM, even though we'd already had lunch just a couple of hours earlier. LOL. We ordered the Chili Chicken Frankie and the Schezwan Noodles - both were excellent. If you've had the Indo-Chinese dishes at Surmai, the flavors here will feel instantly familiar. The noodles were soft, hot, and packed with tangy goodness. The Frankie was also great. If I put on my 'snob' hat, it doesn't quite replicate the Mumbai Frankies I grew up on (think Tibb's Frankie), but as a chicken wrap/roll, it was thoroughly enjoyable. The roti is made in-house - soft, flavorful, and served with some tasty in-house dips. Shoutout to Stany for the excellent service! True to its name, we have been ordering their frankies off the menu. Last night we ordered their chilli paneer frankie as well as their chicken kebab frankie. We still liked their chicken kebab frankie better but they were both delicious as was the rest of dinner (we tried their burnt garlic fried rice instead of the sichuan fried rice + their chicken lollipops). Although you order at the register, they do bring you your food to the table. And the staff asked us if we would like a bag for our leftovers as we were putting some in the to-go containers they have and brought one over. Another good restaurant from the stables of Puran Polo, Surmai and it's in a strip mall off Lawrence and oak mead. They have a simple menu of frankies and indo Chinese food. We ordered a chilli chicken roll, chilli paneer roll, dry veggie Manchurian , chicken lollipop. The meat dishes were good and my wife loved them. An indochinese spot in sunnyvale that specializes in frankies (aka wraps). We've ordered from here 3 times at this point and I have tried a few different frankies. The szechwan noodle frankie is wayyyy too heavy. The noodles are very greasy and there's no veggies to offset it. The chicken lollipop is very solid. The chicken is really well marinated and like flavours are soaked in through and through. The meat is also pretty tender and the tandoori char is pretty good here. The chicken kebab frankie is probably my favourite out of all the ones I've tried. It's less greasier and heavier than the other ones I've tried.
