Dahi sev puri / bun pao / chai
    Shailesh M.

Pretty decent chai place in Sunnyvale downtown! Food is ok - we tried the bun maska and dahi sev puri but the best thing is adrak ki chai aka ginger milk tea ! Wish they serve the chai in Kulhad for siting but unfortunately they charge extra (already pricey for basic tea) and that does not make sense. Best is open till late nights and heard that pani puri is popular but never tried. They have lot of other drinks and food options but never tried.

I love coffee shops. For decades, this was the old Sunnyvale pawn shop. Then it was fixed up into a wine bar. Today, it's an Indian coffee shop. There were already 2 tables of 2 couples and 2 other individuals on their laptop facing the window looking out. A table of 6, two other couples and one individual came in while we were there at 8:30ish on a Friday night. We ordered a hot Indian Coffee, Hot Vietnamese Coffee, and pani puri. The coffees were super hot! It's like when you order coffee at a masala dosa cafe and they bring them to you so hot you can't drink them. They were good because they were so hot but the flavors were different. The Indian coffee had that Indian chai taste. The Vietnamese coffee tasted more like coffee with mocha mix. The person at the register was nice and she couldn't understand that we wanted to order a Vietnamese coffee but then she got it. The pani puri was exactly that with the mint and other liquid. They have a boba tea menu, some food items, and I'm not sure if it's ice cream or gelato but they had coconut pineapple so I may come back for that. There is also outdoor seating. I love coffee shops so I may be back.

It looks like a good dessert spot after dining on Murphy, but the shape of the store leaves room for cramped seating. Overall, the vibe is cloistering. I ordered the cardamom chai, which was milky but enjoyable. It took a while for the drink to come out. I agree with another review that mentioned the menu is too extensive and confusing. They seem to want to cater to a wide audience, but I think it would do well serving just small Indian bites and sweets!

"I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats. I waited an hour first. Then, when the Uber Eats app showed that the order was ready, I went to pick it up, but their store was closed. Their online timing says 11:00, and I went at 12:00, but the store was closed. They had listed it as 'open' on Uber Eats, they even accepted the order, and still, I didn't get my food. I wasted my first hour there, and then I talked to Uber Eats support, which wasted even more of my time. As soon as I woke up this morning, my mood was completely ruined--don't even ask. I am so frustrated right now. They wasted so much of my time; I was on my way to work and got late for that too. This is such a pathetic and horrible service. If there were an option for negative stars, I would give them minus -10 stars."

Stopped by for chai with a coworker and we weren't too adventurous. I tried kadak chai and my colleague got a rose chai. Chai was fine and it was nice to sit outside and catch up over chai. The ambiance / experience was lacking but it's hard to put my finger on exactly what. Maybe looking for more of a cafe vibe, with people hanging out and drinking beverages, or simple Indian snacks to go with (for purchase) the chai. And here's a good menu picture as I couldn't find one on Yelp.

    Strawberry Bingsoo

New place in Sunnyvale downtown. Took a bit of a wait to get our dessert , but was glad to have tried this new place. The bingsoo shaved ice cream was SUPER fluffy vanilla snow! Strawberries were fresh and our kids were fans of the sprinkles. The ratio of strawberry to vanilla snow was a bit off, I think due to the depth of the serving bowl , we had a lot of vanilla snow left even after trying to distribute the strawberry/ice cream as we went. Will try their chocolate one next time. There are a lot of chai options on the menu I'll try in the future. Heads up - the aroma is in your face chai loveliness, but if chai aromas aren't your thing there are tables you can eat at outside in the pedestrian area. If you are looking for a place to work, they have free WiFi and strips of outlets at a long table facing the window! Likely a lovely place to work if you like chai spice smells!

Firstly, the menu is too confusing. It has a very very wide variety of cuisines, but nothing hits the spot. The place was well decorated with a lot of Indian references, though What caught my nose when I entered is the smell. It smells moist, reminds me of mold. We ordered the rose chai and Dubai pistachio tea with almond milk. The tea was too strong in both the drinks and the flavor was not too prominent. We had a bun muska which had too much oil. It didn't even taste like butter.. the service was also quite slow even though there were not many people.

    Peri peri fries

I ordered peri peri fries and sandwiche , well sandwich was good but look at the fries it looks like they microwaved it and didn't bother their selfs to actually fry it . It's all taste boiled potatoes.

We only stopped here for chai after dinner. The place has a cool vibe. Service was friendly but it takes long to get the chai. They do the whole process only after you order. The karak chai was a bit too milky for me.

    Maggi Vegetable

*Vegetarian Foodie Review* Biggest mistake ever! We were craving something super light for a late lunch and randomly ended up at this place. It was super unorganized.. my gut told me not to order from here after looking at all the chaos in the cafe. I somehow decided to ignore that and ended up ordering anyway since we were super hungry. - Tandoori Paneer Sandwich: 2.5/5 - The paneer itself was neither marinated nor cooked. It felt like the paneer was just cut and put in the sandwich, which is a major turnoff for something called "tandoori paneer". The chutneys in the sandwich were flavorful. It was decent enough that we could at least eat it. - Maggi Vegetable: 1/5 - Major disaster!! First of all, they gave us Maggi without any vegetables and when we pointed it out, they switched it to one with veggies. I can make better Maggi than them! How can someone ever mess up Maggi? They didn't have to do much... just add the masala packet that comes with it and some veggies. The Maggi had no flavor at all, noodles and veggies with zero taste, not even the masala. - Bun Jam: 1/5 - How can you mess this up? I ordered this for my 4-year-old, and it came smoking hot... felt like the jam was heated up like crazy, with smoke coming out of the bun. I literally had to tell my 4-year-old to please trash it, and we left the place. We ended up only finishing the paneer sandwich we ordered. The remaining dishes we just trashed (didn't even box them up). I don't think we are coming here again. You can complain when one dish goes wrong, when multiple dishes go wrong then something is wrong with the place, not just few items!!

    Thai tea and strawberry matcha
    Mikaela A.

Me and my friend went to try it out since the inside looks so cute, but damn save your money don't even bother to go. The drinks taste like straight up condensed milk. It's so sweet that it'll give you a headache and my throat hurts from just one sip because of how sweet it was you can't even taste Thai tea or matcha nor strawberry.

Yumm yummmm! And service was top notch!…read more A friend and I had dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Although most people were seated inside, we opted to sit outside. Sometimes this is an issue with service since they are focused with the customers inside but they were extremely attentive and we did not have any issues. We ordered the butter chicken, gobi, garlic naan, lamb steamed momos, and a mango lassi! All of the food was delicious. The waiter mentioned it would take about 15 minutes for our food to come out which was a nice level of communication. Also, the food came out hot which was nice! Service was very good! Periodic check ins and extremely friendly. Our server Pokhrel was great, highly recommend. Thanks for a delicious dinner and we will be back!

I don't necessarily feel fully qualified to review Momo Grill as I didn't actually try the Momos…read morebut I did try: - Gobi manchurian: Not bad honestly! I've had worse recently so this dish was really great. It wasn't mind blowing but it's more of a comfort food to me anyway so I really enjoyed it. - Veggie chowmein: I asked for it with egg and again was pretty good. I think next time I may be brave enough for the Schezwan sauce - Eggplant Heaven: Kinda just tasted like a normal eggplant sabji? Nothing mind blowing. Our neighbors did end up getting the momos which looked good so I would try that next time.
