The food is good and they make you feel welcome. Ambiance is simple and like what you might expect at a well run family owned diner. The restaurant is clean and it is calming to enter. I looked, and every customer appeared to be really enjoying their meal...It had that kind of ambiance. Hospitality is a very welcoming 6 stars. They are attentive and treat you nicer than you expect at a business. The food is served in very generous portions and they make a good, house made, horchata. I recommend ordering some. If grandkids are listening, I say the food is pulled up a bit by you're hospitality. Pico de gallo? A blended maybe cooked tomato chili salsa? Freshly chopped onion and cilantro? The rice is a bit bland, but when combined with the red wet burrito sauce, it is fantastic. I think a drizzle of that sauce should be on the inside of every burrito. I am a foodie, and I am giving you a full five stars overall, but recommend a little more fresh veggie. I only write reviews if establishments are excellent or somehow a disappointment. Tacos Jalisco is excellent and deserves your business.

We placed a to go order for three super burritos, one à la carte cheese enchilada, and one à la carte chicken taco. The grand total for this food was just under $80! This seems a little steep for the amount of food we received. The burritos and enchilada were all good and the taco was fine. Chips and salsa were included and were as expected. I will offer up that the salsas on the salsa bar are still very good! That hasn't changed since my last visit. It's very likely I'll be back at some point, the burritos really are pretty good.

Having been a regular at the Peabody location, this is a shocking departure, and I can only assume there was a loss in talent back of the house in the transition. But since a restaurant is only as good as its food, this is a significant loss. I hope something changes, it's wild to have to close the clamshell on a Villa Corona pollo verde burrito, but close it I must. edit: Thanking owner Carlos for his response, but I have to assume it's a different batch than the one I tasted Monday. I've been a big fan of Villa Corona for years and the Peabody location was my spot; but even then I had a strong preference for the pollo verde from that location over the Nut Tree. I've had the burrito before and family and friends have had other dishes, but once they've had the quesabirria tacos, they're sold. Service wait time has improved over the years. Our first experience had us in the restaurant for over an hour (not by choice). Today's lunch was served within 15 minutes of ordering and we ended up sitting and chatting for 2 hours. Pedro's is on our regular rotation!
