Best caldo de camaron ive had no doubt. Haven't found a better one. Spicy and all kinds of big shrimp!!! Its my weekend ritual Saturday morning to go grab one of these!!!

    My meats are cooking.

Lupita's all over Dixon. A new favorite has become getting some meats from Lupita's Kitchen. It's almost cheating. They're cooked and seasoned to order, so I take mine home and try to pass it off as 'homemade'- in this case, enchiladas. Okay, so ya, it's cheating. No matter- it's delicious. When you order a large enough amount of a certain type of meat, sometimes the supply at the restaurant goes low so they run to the carniceria side of Lupita's and grab some more. Pretty awesome to have a butcher shop attached. Excellent find for prepared Mexican eats.

Stumbled across Lupita's kitchen on google. Their menudo looked good it other reviews, so we decided to give it a try. The staff was very friendly and their was indoor seating. I was very pleased with the menudo I received. The broth was very nicely seasoned, and the meat was clean and well cooked. They provide all the add-ons plus homemade tortillas.

I had been drawn to Panaderia Lupita that is right next door and connected, and I had gotten several of their fresh pastries. Since it was lunch time and I was hungry I decided to give Lupita's Kitchen a try. It was nothing fancy, but was spacious and clean, and the waitress was pleasant; but there did seem to be a bit of a language barrier as she didn't seem to understand what I was asking, and I had a hard time understanding her. Times like this if I had learned Spanish it would be very useful. I ordered a cheese enchilada, and a Dr Pepper (that came in a can). The chips and salsa to start with were very good. The chips were thick but not greasy, and they were very crisp and had a good flavor without salt. The enchilada was good and I liked the red sauce, but the rice was tasteless and slightly undercooked, and the beans, although not objectionable by being greasy or pasty, also lacked flavor. It was served with a little bit of shredded lettuce and diced tomato as well as a tiny cup of thick sour cream. I left feeling I had had enough to eat and it wasn't bad, it just, over all, was rather disappointing and not good enough to make me want to come back. So, my feeling: Panaderia YES - Kitchen NO

Three crunchy tacos with beans and rice... YUM-YUM-YUM!

EXPERIENCE 2/14/2026…read more We ended Valentine's Day this year with dinner here at La Cocina. We saw an ad for this restaurant while patroning another restaurant and the Mister suggested we try this out on our way back to Vacaville from Sacramento. Since it was Valentine's Day, he called and made sure there was room for us and we are so glad that there was. SPOT // 5 stars Situated close to HWY 80, right by the exit on the freeway. Tucked in a strip mall with plenty of free parking. When we walked in, it was a total vibe! We love the decor and the vibrant colors. They had plenty of tables open despite the Valentine's Day weekend. Excited to be seated and have this dining experience. FOOD // 5 stars, fire Since it was Valentine's Day, we opted for one of the specials they had advertised. Fajitas platter It was brought out in a platter complete with Steak, Shrimp, Pork and Chicken. We opted for flour tortillas (corn was also available). The plate also consisted of rice and beans and guacamole. We asked for no onions, but were disappointed when it came with HELLA onions both on the side with the peppers and under the meat on the platter. I myself don't mind it, but the Mister did. He ended up moving all those onions to my side so I can eat it all up. Super flavorful with each bite. Guacamole was on point, fresh and I couldn't stop eating it. CHOCO TACO // 5 stars, fire As soon as I saw this and mind you it's homemade, I could NOT wait to get my hands on it. So so so good, just like the original Choco Taco we all used to get from the ice cream trucks that roam our neighborhoods back in the days. I was not disappointed. They also had churros and flan as their regular desserts, but today they were out of churros so I was not hurt when they offered the choco taco. STRAWBERRY MOJITO // 5 stars, fire I forgot to say they have a full bar. The strawberry mojito was listed as a Valentine's day special, so I'm not sure if they have it all the time. I hope so, because it was amazing! SERVICE // 10 stars, fireworks The staff was extremely attentive and catered to our every needs. I'm not sure if the Owner came and chatted with us and asked how we were doing, but she did mention they've been open for 15 years!!!! Yes, 15 years. She was so nice and inviting as with the rest of the staff. We told her we saw her ad at another restaurant and she was happy that we patron the establishment. Hidden gem ... yes! Fresh and tasty .. yes! We will come back and try some other dishes on the menu. Get there!

I expected a typical plain modern day strip mall restaurant, but what a colorful surprise inside,…read moreup & down the walls, cheerful, and welcoming, really good Mexican food, fast service, this was lunch time, I wanted to comeback for dinner too!! You feel like you're not only a customer, but it wouldn't take long to become a regular, with this good food, comfortable atmosphere, and family friendly menu!!
