The food is always great, with the meat having a lot of flavor compared to some other Mexican restaurants. I really enjoy their Carnitas tacos or burrito and often get their Camarones à la diabla, which has a kick but isn't too hot to be unbearable. The staff are always very nice and helpful. It's an older place, so no matter how clean it may be, it never really looks or feels clean to me. I typically order our food to enjoy at home. read more

This place was my go to for menudo. The menudo I ordered recently had an Oder of straight Sh***t I know that's where it comes from but it almost smelt like unwashed Tripe And not to mention the plate of menudo here are the most expensive, In the area. And the girls taking your Order / register lack customer service. almost like they are bothered when you order food or ask for condiments etc. read more

My new spot for a burrito, fast service and it's easy to find the location. I order over the phone and I show up in 10 minutes and my food is hot and ready. read more

We ordered the Super Nachos Carne Asada and a Agua Fresca Watermelon Drink this evening for dinner. Our dinner was excellent in taste, presentation, and portion size. Everything was fresh and very flavorful. The staff there is always courteous, kind, and prompt on our to go orders. I definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Don't bother ... this is disgustingly awful. The food is greasy, smelly and needs sazon desperately!, , the customer service is petty and lacks gratitude and they won't even turn on the air in the restaurant. Like we sweating and trying to eat bland food no thank you and they watch you as if you going to run out of the restaurant. Newsflash you can't dine n dash in a place where you might break a leg slipping on grease read more

I had the super burrito and it was excellent. Top 2 Mexican In Vacaville and it's not 2.

Best burritos in town! Super burritos are huge and for me, they make two meals. We've had Carnitas, Carne Asada and Chicken and all are loaded and flavorful. Their service is friendly and fast. If you haven't been there, give them a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed read more

This was our first time eating here and it is by far the best Mexican food I've had since moving up here. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I knew right away that it must be good because there was a lot of people eating inside. This will be our place to get Mexican food from now on. Can't wait to go back and try something different. read more

Delicious food! Extremely friendly service. My favorite is the al pastor street tacos. Sooo delicious!

Burritos are constantly good. The service is quick and nice. Not that many people there so it's quiet and calm,

First time here, was disappointed. I ordered 2tacos and a burrito, both carnitas. The pork was dry, the flavor was good but not at all juicy and flavorful like carnitas should be. My tacos and burritos thus were very dry. I may give them another chance however I won't order everything with carnitas just in case. read more

Thee best carnitas tacos I've ever had. Ever. Better than TJ. Better than Guadalajara. The secret is order the carnitas "extra crunchy" I highly recommend washing them down with either a Mexican Coke or several few Modelo's. When I'm super hungover or feeling extra fat I like to gringo them up and add a side of sour cream. I recommend you try! read more

This is the best place for Mexican food. Always good especially the street tacos. On tuesdays - it's 6 tacos for $11.99. We had the carnitas and also carne asada. Service is great. You order upfront and then your food is brought to you. Small place but big on excellenc. read more

Big burritos that meet the mark of good rice and beans plus your meat of choice and add their salsa = win win on both quality and price.

It was my first time here. Very welcoming and fast. I got a chicken torta. It was so big and the price is right! I like to try tortas from different restaurants. Delicious! The bread is nice and love that they put avocado, I'll ask for less jalapeños in the future but so good! read more

For sure my go to for Mexican food in Vacaville, staff is always great kind and friendly. Price is absolutely good and fair.

I got chicken enchiladas. Food came out quickly was hot and fresh and was delicious! Would come again!

I was craving a chorizo breakfast burrito so I thought I'd give them another chance. Glad I did. Staff were very nice and very fast getting my order out. The burrito was big and pretty good. Love the hot sauce. I will be back to check out the rest of the menu. read more

One of my favorite Mexican Restaurants. Great options and great service. I'll always come back.

Perfection every time and the price point is really nice! Super friendly staff as well!

This is easily the best Mexican restaurant in Vacaville. Great food, great prices, and great service!

I don't normally do these reviews but these tacos were too good to not be acknowledged. My husband and I were traveling in from the Bay Area and stopped here for a quick bite and let me tell you - WORTH IT. We ordered tacos & the flavorful was incredible! Everything is fresh, prices are great, and the vibe inside makes you feel cozy and welcome. This is definitely our new favorite taco stop when stopping in the area. Don't walk - but run & try them out! read more

Menudo is on point! It includes all the toppings, homemade corn tortillas and salsa. We will be back next weekend to try the rest of the menu. read more

Good food and service. Tasty breakfast burritos. Reasonably priced. Menudo on weekends. Yum

'Was told by EL that Burrito Express was a local favorite... Verdict: "M'eh, they're okay..." First off: CASH & Checks Only - No ATM (BTW, who carries cash today besides the homeless & 10 year old kids?) Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/burrito-express-vacaville?select=xm7P-jJAWISbFQQWENHARw#zZ4eLy5lsDHdM3hdLGQ1iw Now, that's out of the way. We ordered - Chicken Super Burrito: Okay flavor; meat(small portions) Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/burrito-express-vacaville?select=xm7P-jJAWISbFQQWENHARw#WTDJ3Migwo-0NMSHxrEUVw Al Pastor Super Burrito: Okay flavor; meat dry(small portions) Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/burrito-express-vacaville?select=xm7P-jJAWISbFQQWENHARw#McInPjNW9Ai5eQeCaUBTtQ I saw that Burrito Express had al pastor on the menu, my go-to meat of choice when it's available. al pastor is an adoption of the shawarma spit-grilled meat, introduced to Mexico by Lebanese immigrants. Moving from South Orange County, I've had amazing, fresh from the spit al pastor to dried-out, wood chip-like, kibbles of diced pork... I was looking forward to trying it! Unfortunately, the al pastor here tasted as if it was sitting around for a while, very dried out. It was like pork jerky pastor! Fair sized burritos, unfortunately they were mostly stuffed w/rice & bean "filler" and lacking in the stuff that really matters.(i.e. - Meat) The young lady who took our order was friendly & answered my usual plethora of foodie questions regarding their menu... Restaurant Layout - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/burrito-express-vacaville?select=xm7P-jJAWISbFQQWENHARw#xm7P-jJAWISbFQQWENHARw 'But I need to add, they do have a decent beer selection. Cerveza - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/burrito-express-vacaville?select=xm7P-jJAWISbFQQWENHARw#krmQGbVrzfEHSPbsbrs8bA Overall, okay... (Shrugs) I expected more from Burrito Express based on the overall yelp*views. It's not terrible but it's not a 4 Star Rated shop either. The next time we went out for burritos, I yelp*d "Burrito Palace." 'And just say the next time we go out for burritos, we'll be eating like "royalty." Burrito Express - Dont order a carne asada burrito. Its more like a Rice Burrito. HELLA RICE and i bought 7. - Mexican Near Me - Vacaville, California

Burrito Express is the definitely a local favorite. I've been coming here for at least 10 years, my siblings and I used to come here every week when our mom's office was across the street and it continues to be our go-to. Make sure you come on the weekends when they have Menudo! It is pretty popular so don't be surprised if they run out early. The seating area is quite small and it can get cramped in there when times are busy. My favorite fillings are Al Pastor and Cabeza. The Cabeza meats are super soft and tender. Their nachos are yummy as well. Take note that it is Cash/check only, not sure why people are freaking out about it. It's pretty common in bigger cities, our little Vacaville is making way too big a deal of it. I think it's pretty fair when in turn you are getting huuuge portions of food! read more

On a bad note: 1.They never make enough menudo on Sundays, this is the second time I've been here and this is the second time they told me they didn't have any. It's just me but if your going to sell this specialty dish only on Sunday at least sell it all day. 2. The cashier that helped me was either one or two things. A) she seem like she didn't want to be here and looked as if she irritated at me while taking my order. B) maybe she just one of those people who has a relax bi**h face and just can't help it to look miserable and unhappy even if their really having a great day, so I shouldn't over think things. Still she should practice smiling in the mirror & smile in front of customers ... "be fake" if you have to, your customers doesn't need to know your issues. 3. What's up with cash/checks only? There is thing called the square a lot of small shops are using it for credit card transaction. If the business owner is reading this ... look at your next door neighbor they have one. Positive note: 1. Other server seemed really nice and asked if I was helped and had a smile on her face. Overall just that alone made me give a 3 star instead of 2 star for customer service. 2. I order food to go but i know their seafood soup is pretty good. This is going to be my first time trying their burrito, never know I might change it to a 4 star if it was pretty good. Edit note: I had to bring it down to a 2 star. Since their super burrito is mostly made up of rice and beans. I could just imagine what a regular burrito would be like. I'm not impressed!!! This is just my opinion since my boyfriend actually liked it (happy I only bought 1 burrito to share). Still recommend the seafood soup... but if you have bad heartburn ... stay away from it or make sure you have something for heartburn. read more

This place is okay. I had beans and rice one time, and those are the simplest things to perfect. Rice was VERY greasy and seeped through the box. The beans were very watery. No flavor. read more

My favorite place to eat. I change it up every couple weeks but my addiction at the moment happens to be the crispy chicken tacos and the chile relleno. I also get my 6 for 7.99 tacos every tuesday! One of my local FAVORITES! I've been eating here since I was a kid, and love it just as much now as an adult. Their burritos are huge. They always last my husband and I two meals each. The tacos are delicious. Honestly, I haven't had a bad meal here yet. It is consistently great. The staff is always great! Super friendly, quick, and efficient. We pick up food for dinner on our way home from work often, and it's so nice to have a place where you will be in and out without compromising the food itself. I am also picky with adding certain ingredients and taking certain things out when ordering. Despite that, my meal is prepared just as I asked EVERYTIME! I don't think I've ever had an experience here where I was disappointed in my food. Baldos is located very close to this location. However, I recommend stopping here instead if in the market for mexican food. read more

Great street tacos and best Chile verde around. They are consistent with flavor and portions.

I like their food. Do not go in right before closing or you will get some older beef otherwise pricing good. They do not accept credit cards which is a pain but their pricing and portions are fair. read more

This review is on their take out. Came here for the first time after a couple raves about it. We ordered two super burritos, flautas plate, rice and beans small side, and two agua de horchatas. The burritos were carne asada and woah they sure were delicious!!!! My daughter loved the rice and beans side and the dude loved the flautas. The food was fresh and hot by the time I got home. The horchatas were delicious!!! There were a few people in the restaurant when I came in which to me was a good sign people enjoy the place. The staff was friendly and greeted us when we walked in. The only thing which is not bad you cannot use credit/debit. Overall this place was very delicious and will definitely have to bring the family to try other items on the menu as dine in. read more

It was a breakfast burrito abomination how is this place still in business Customer service was bad they served multiple people that came in after me and when i mentioned my breakfast burrito to them they said i HAD to pay for it even though i only had one bite, if you mess up at least take back your food AVOID THIS PLACE if you like burritos read more
