This is the only place in Vacaville that I'll go for carnitas. I don't care how many pop up tents or food trucks there are, this place gets carnitas right all the time, every time. Overpriced for the quality and portion size. I stopped in early for a breakfast burrito and a Jarritos and ended up spending over $12. The breakfast burrito with chorizo was over $8 (with tax), and the Jarritos was over $4. The biggest disappointment was the burrito itself. It had barely any chorizo and was packed with potatoes. I also paid extra for cheese, but there was little to no cheese in the burrito. It was mostly potatoes and eggs, with very little chorizo or cheese. For the price, I expected much better quality and a more generous filling. Unfortunately, this was not worth the money, and I won't be coming back. read more

Their menu is expansive with plenty of choice for Mexican fairs. Their service was friendly. We have eaten here many times and the food has always been satisfactory. It is good, but not great. One was chicken Asada and the other was just shredded chicken. He said the chicken asada was delicious but the shredded chicken was just bland. The only place that was opened on new years and it was a one man show!! Ordered at the counter and found a place to sit. Got a lengua super burrito and it was decent. Salsa bar only had 2 choices and some jalapeños, other than that we had to ask for the lime at the counter. Chips were given to us at the counter as well. Place could use a little clean up, there were 3 daddy long leg spiders right above the table we were sitting at. read more

The food was amazing and were very large portions for the price I give this review only 4 stars because it was very warm inside the restaurant which made it uncomfortable to sit and eat. I go to El Patron often and I usually have a good experience there. The food is good and pretty reasonably priced. We really like the grilled chicken tacos, pastor wet burritos, and pastor or asada chimichangas. The service is generally pretty quick too. I'll call ahead and my food is typically ready in 5-10 minutes. The food is always hot when I get it home. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM JOSE. We always come here and never had an issue up until today. There was a piece of facial hair in my food and my partners, when we went up to show the cashier, Jose wiped it off the plate and accused him of lying saying there was no hair. All we asked for was a refund or a new plate since I had barely touched mine. He was very smug. If anything is in your food take a picture before hand because he will wipe it off. read more

My family ordered 2 enchilada plates, a burrito, 2x pozole, tacos (chicken and steak), horchata, and jamaica drink. EVERYTHING was tasted bland and watered down, even the salsa they gave us, and it was so confusing! Where was the flavor? After adding a bunch of limes, hot sauce, and basic seasonings from our house, everything still tasted meh. Just generally disappointing and felt like a waste of ~$65. First time coming here. Husband ordered a menudo, I ordered a torta de asada. Do not recommend wasting your time ordering. The torta was somewhat okay. The menudo was flavorless, and it didn't have color. We work in the industry and never send items back, but this time we felt like the menudo had to go back, when my husband asked if he could ordered something else he was told no and wasn't even reimburse for something he didn't eat. The fryer oil they were using was bad. The chips had an awful taste and my daughter's chimichanga had the same flavor and big black bits stuck to it. It's a huge place, but there were only 2 other people there. It smelled weird like bathroom and cheap cleaning products and there were flies buzzing around the inside of the dirty front window.
