This was our first time coming to this restaurant and we were so impressed by the look and feel of the restaurant alone. They must have just opened because we were the only ones there. The restaurant itself was clean, festively decorated, a beautiful white fountain was in the middle of the larger dining area. So pretty to look at. We were greeted warmly by the bartender, then the hostess took me, my husband and 2yr old son to our table. Beautifully decorated and again super clean! Our server was a really sweet young lady who was awesome. Didn't get a chance to catch her name. But the 3 staff members we encountered were really lovely and attentive. Now... the food. Wow. I started with a watermelon jalapeño margarita which was absolutely delicious and did NOT taste like a bottled mix. It was refreshing and delicious. Hubby had a beer and baby had a kids horchata which was also super delicious. We ordered a side of guacamole to start and it was sooooo beautifully seasoned and delicious. Baby got the kids enchilada with shredded beef. As a mama I always try his food first if I don't cook it myself and the meat was absolutely delicious! So fresh and so flavorful. He ate about half of it with rice and beans. Very happy baby lol. Then my husband and I both ordered the giant chimichangas with shredded beef and a side of beans and rice. 10/10!!! So flavorful and fresh. The meat was cooked to PERFECTION. Simple ingredients but so fresh and so delicious. We will 100% be coming back. Thank you to the very sweet staff who took great care of us. We will see you again soon! read more

Gorditos is awesome! The decor is very authentic looking and feels like you're in the middle of a little city in Mexico. The food is so authentic. Their chili verde is top notch and the drinks are so freaking good. My friends and I go here all the time. The bartenders and staff are all so friendly and make the experience even better. read more

I love it here! I love the food, I love the service, I love the ambiance, I love it. I especially love The Cantina, Ryan has to be the best bartender in Fairfield. Not only is his greeting up beat and welcoming, it's genuine. He adds to the atmosphere and your dining experience. Everyone at Gordito's adds their special touch to make your visit a good one so that you enjoy your dining experience. read more

First of all, the ambiance is nice. Looks like a pretty festive place with all of the decorations inside the restaurant. Very family friendly and very appealing to the eyes. The service was pretty good. The waiting staff were pretty attentive and courteous throughout our dining experience. They were accommodating to our very needs. The food was good. We ordered the Enchilada Plate, Chile Verde Burrito, and Flan. We started our meal with the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were warm and crunchy. The salsa had a medium spice. The chips were good enough to last us long enough for our dinner. The Enchilada was nice. It had ground beef, cheese, and a nice red sauce. The sauce was not too spicy and the cheese and meat combined well with the sauce. The plate also included rice. The rice was soft and flavorful and paired well with the enchilada. The Chile Verde Burrito was pretty good. The spice level was just about right. It was not overwhelming. Loved the pork chunks with the chile verde. There was also lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, beans, guacamole, and rice in my burrito. The combo of these ingredients were essential to the burrito. Gave it nice texture and flavors. The added cheese on top was nice. The flan was good. Loved the sweetness and its texture. Great way to end our meal. The flan was on a syrup. Loved that extra flavor. Wonderful dessert for the evening. Nice place for Mexican food in Fairfield. read more

Gordito's is one of my go-to spots because there usually isn't a huge wait, which I really appreciate. The chips are freshly made and served warm, which is always a plus. Service is usually pretty good too. I also love that everyone gets their own salsa instead of having to share. Such a small thing, but I love it. We mainly come for the jalapeño chicken. If you like spicy food, it's SO good! Honestly it's my favorite thing on the menu, so I haven't explored much else because I always end up ordering it again. read more

I placed a catering order for a birthday party and the food was fantastic, seasoned well, nice and hot, packed securely, generous portions! I highly reccommend Gorditos for your event I know we will too! read more

Gorditos has good service and good food at an affordable price. They also have Sunday brunch for $20 per person. I like that they offer a wide selection of dishes for their brunch. Overall, it is worth checking out. read more

We had a large family gathering with gift opening and all, kids included. They took such good care of us, put us in a secluded section for privacy and the service was awesome. Everyone enjoyed their meal, my burrito was delicious. I will be back again and again read more

i came with a party of 17 & we were easily accommodated but towards the last 30 minutes of our visit our server stopped coming by to ask us about water refills & she seemed busy but we were one of the few parties there & other customers were sat at the bar. i ordered 2 strawberry margaritas blended & they were mediocre, the alcohol was light. i asked about possibly getting meatless flautas but my server told me that i had to have meat to order them, but i don't eat meat so i ended up getting fish tacos instead & they were also okay. overall the food & the service was mediocre. read more

Hojala y mejoren - read more

My husband brought home takeout the other night. He got a burrito and liked his just fine. Mine on the other hand was inedible. I ordered carne asada plate. It was like leather. And the flavor was not good. I couldn't eat it at all. I didn't even like the beans and rice. Very disappointing. read more

Recently, coordinated and attended a luncheon with members of Rockville Presbyterian Fellowship church. The food, service and ambiance was such that our group voted to have our luncheon there again. We really liked how accommodating and attentive the staff were for our group. Also, we had plenty of room and we could hear each other talk. Everyone liked the food. read more

The Best in Fairfield and Vacaville! Gorditos is hands-down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Fairfield and Vacaville. The food is always delicious, fresh, and consistent. No matter what I order, I leave full, happy, and already looking forward to my next visit. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, making it perfect for any day of the week. And don't even get me started on the strawberry margaritas--they always hit just right! It's family owned and operated by some truly wonderful people, and that love and pride comes through in every detail. If you're looking for the best Mexican food in the area with a warm, welcoming vibe, Gorditos is it. read more

Walked in here with my friend on a Thursday evening unsure of what to expect. The place looked nice, low lights and many open tables with a small bar area on the left, but no visible staff members. My friend and I waited in the entrance a couple minutes, even checked the bar for a worker, no one. Finally a girl came out with a container to bus the tables and she showed us a place to sit a minute later our waitress showed up. They set chips and salsa for us while we ordered, the chips were kind of dry and the salsa wasn't particularly flavorful. I will say the food was fine, I just got a chicken quesadilla. Was your standard tasty chicken quesadilla, nothing to write home about. I also used the restroom there, it wasn't dirty but it sure wasn't nice either. While we were eating the staff checked on us often, but when we finished and were waiting to pay, suddenly they were gone again. Our waitress did eventually show up after a noticeable time gap and we paid and left no problem. Overall, slightly stressful experience but the food was fine. read more

Authentic, Family owned Mexican Restaurant. I've been going here ever since I was a kid. And there's not a box this restaurant doesn't tick. The food is amazing for the price! Want a protein that's not listed on the menu? No problem! They will be happy to accommodate. The bar area and happy hour is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and the restaurant as well as the bar area decor screams "authentic Mexican restaurant". If you want to hear my personal appraisal, I'm here several times a week. Hope to see you here; I promise you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Gilberto, Gil, Maria, Ryan, Virginia, and everyone else :) We appreciate you. read more

Gordito's is our favorite Mexican Restaurant! We love coming here because the atmosphere is always pleasant and clean. The service hands down is one of the best out of all restaurants we go to. There is at least one person checking on us every 5 mins or less. When multiple servers are helping you out as a team you know you're gonna get the best service. Food is always great and fresh. Even with today's food pricing, Gordito's is still affordable for a family. Gordito's is one of the last restaurants that's checks all the boxes. Great food, great service, and great pricing! Our family eats here at least 1-2x a month. read more

Atmosphere is charming. But everything we had at our table was extremely dry. Chicken was dry, beef dry, carnitas dry. Not much flavor either.. they clearly don't use many spices. Even a bit of salt would have helped. We won't be back. We didn't even bother to bring home our leftovers. All meats were overcooked, reheating would mean they'd be even drier. read more

The food is always plentiful. We have always had great service to go along with delicious food.

Love Gordito's. The food is good and the ambience is really nice. Prices are reasonable. Their enchiladas are my favorite.

Love Gorditos and try and make a stop here every time I'm in town! There is just something about their ground beef burritos topped with the burrito sauce that I can't find anywhere that is just as delicious! I'll even order it to eat with my chips! Their hot sauce is also really good and I'll mix it with the regular salsa to make it a bit more tolerable, but totslly worth the burning sensation I get! I tried to eat here last time and sadly they were closed for a private party! Bummer they didn't answer their phones to tell us before we drove all the way over! read more

Great place for dinner or lunch! The staff is really nice! Virginia is the best bartender! The food is amazing, I love to have the enchiladas and fajitas! The dining room is large and great for parties. Lots of tables, spread out over a large area which is nice. The bar is large, lots of seats at the actual bar and lots more small tables and benches for the bar area. Make sure to get there early if you want to check out a game as the bar packs up quickly. Try the margaritas those are great. read more

This restaurant is soo nice and huge inside with a really cool bar and lots of seating. Nice cultural decoration and you walk into a beautiful fountain. The garlic shrimp one of my favorite dishes but loved everything. Their bloody mary mix is delicious! Really enjoyed coming here! read more

We love having lunch at Gordito's!! Today our server was Gina and she was awesome. She checked on us several times and was super friendly and professional. I had the chili verde and my wife had the Camerones a la diabla. Both meals were delicious, their beans can't be beat!! Would've given a 5 star based on the excellent service but had to go with a 4 because the chips were a bit stale (didn't keep us from eating them) Gordito's is our go-to Mexican spot in Fairfield. read more

Great food a reasonable prices. Very friendly with a good atmosphere. I really like their lunch special with margarita at less than $15.

Of course the food was DELICIOUS! Fresh hot tortillas, super hot and delicious sizzling plate, the best Chile Relleno ever, the service was excellent, like being in your Grandma's kitchen. I highly recommend eating here and they also do banquets with efficiency. Oh and during Xmas, we have ordered tamales (because we were being lazy that year ) and they were delicious. read more

We go there about once a week. The food is excellent, especially Chile Verde, and Carnitas. The chips usually come out warm, salsas great, and if you like Hot, they have the best tasting hot sauce ever. You'll have to ask for it though. We've never got the order wrong. They do have lettuce in their burritos, if you want, just ask for none. All the servers speak clear English, and are super nice. The manager Gill, is the owners son, and is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. You never have to wait for a seat, don't be detoured by all the cars in the lot, they're at Chuckys. They'll take any size crowd, but if you plan a big one, it would be best to call the day before, so they can add a server, it they think they should. All of the workers get along, and help each other. It's a great family atmosphere. Oh... and full bar, with great Cadillac Margaritas read more

This is a restaurant that looks very unassuming on the outside but has a cool interior inside and good food! The restaurant was not too loud, ample seating, and had music playing in the background. We usually do not have trouble getting a table when coming here. Service was very quick, friendly, and attentive! The food was also very good, and very filling! We definitely did not have room left for dessert. I recommend getting the Strawberry Margarita! However, the taco meat was a bit dry. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this place! read more

So gave it one last chance and ordered for party the Chile Relleno and Cheese Enchilada from the Cater menu along with the Tomatillo and Chunky red salsa small from the cater menu. Also some tater skins from the regular menu. Price did not add up to what I calculated and also the food was not good flavor, literally poured the green salsa out and the service sucked. Same guy but never again will I go there again. 154 dollars down the toilet. Be careful and ask for your detailed receipt. Also since I am not sue happy I will let my finger being cut wide open from the Enchilada's slide. Service and quality have hit a low. Sad but true. read more

Closest to San Jose. This is a compliment. San Jose knows great Mexican food. Especially the hole in the wall places. This is far from a hole in the wall but extremely close to that type of food. Every time we come here we are reminded of San Jose. The food is always cooked to perfection. I love their fajita burrito. Order it wet. You won't be disappointed. Their bartenders also can make a mean drink. They share a parking lot with a Chuck E. Cheese. Don't be discouraged if the parking lot looks full. They have parking on the side of the building. Definitely try them if you haven't. You won't be disappointed. read more

This is the worst mexican restaurant I ever had in my entire life!!! I went on Valentine's Day and ordered the Jalapeño Chicken with cream sauce, it came with beans and rice, but when my plate arrived there was no jalapeño cream sauce at all and they served WHITE RICE at a Mexican restaurant . Margarita Flight had great size drinks, Platter is large enough for 2 to 4 people, Tacos had great flavor and the Refried Beans are delicious. Came for family dinner for 5 with 2 kids. We were seated quick. Customer Service AMAZING. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Drinks were delicious Food was great & prices were normal compared to other restaurants. Only complaint was the food took alittle while to come out & we were served about 3 minutes apart (kids first then 3 others meals then final 2) But overall we would definitely come back. read more

The food was great and the service was amazing. Virginia was our waitress and she was excellent. The ambiance also was amazing too.

Gordito's architecture and decor is classic, genuine Latin flare and it's definitely the strongest point of the restaurant. It makes it a fun place to be dining in. The food is good. Not a bad place to stop into randomly. I just wish the flavors were as high-rating as the atmosphere. If I were in Fairfield again after a Jelly Belly visit and had to have Mexican food, under those very specific conditions, I would go back, but only because I wouldn't categorize the food as bad. read more
