This is one of our favorite spots for burritos, tacos, and Mexican platters in Fairfield. They don't even deliver so you know it's good! Jarritos is tucked away on the corner of a small plaza next to a busy liquor store and laundromat. If you go at night, it can get a bit sketchy, but the last time there was a security guard present. Despite the rough neighborhood, each time we enter Jarritos, we are greeted by friendly faces. There are usually several kind workers behind the register and grill. I usually order a Carne Asada Super Burrito. Couldn't give 5-stars because the last time, maybe it was undercooked rice, but it was kinda dry. We wanted to love this spot. But have given it many chances and last night was our final straw. We arrived around 6:30pm. Ordered. Our food arrived at 7:30pm. And the amount of people standing around wasn't a good sign but we thought, smart restaurants should treat the people dining in as urgent orders. No one checks in on you. No apologies for the food being so delayed. We ordered carne asada plate and it was disgusting. Thin slices. Not how normal carne asada is served. My husband had the fried steak and he didn't even eat it. The food took way too long which just ruined the whole evening and appetite. Then when you go to check out they're disorganized. Taking phone calls instead of helping you. It truly deserved $0 tip. On to the next one. Until they do better and change their attitude. read more

First off, coming to this location we were greeted with warm hellos! The place is accommodating for large or smaller groups. Nice variety of meats and dishes. Had a craving for the tacos.... So glad we tried 4 different meat options. Each had its own distinct flavors and the meats were cooked fresh! Nice to see a variety of different nationalities being welcomed. We wanted some good Mexican food coming home one day and this place happened to be the only one open after 8 pm in the area.Plenty of parking in the lot. Please be advice if you come here specially at night it can be a bit of a rough neighbood.Huge inside with plenty of seating. We tried their asada burrito, street tacos, ceviche tostada and chicken salad bowl (I asked for grilled chicken but I got sherreded chicken instead) not good. The asada buritto was dry I think they forgot to put pico de gallo (we didn't see any on it),ceviche tostatda was ok and the asada tacos was really good and it even came with grilled onions that was delicious. Jarritos might be the best Mexican food in the area . The service is always great , friendly and helpful . I have tried most of the menu and everything is usually pretty good . The main stays like Tacos , Burritos, Tortas etc are always good and they offer a good variety of different meats . The only thing I feel could use some attention is the Ambience, it's pretty basic but overall it's clean . The bathroom are kept clean as well which is important . I'd say to anyone reading this definitely give them a try ,,, food is good and the prices are good . read more

I was having my car worked on nearby, and needed a place to sit and do paperwork for several hours. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I ordered a quesadilla with asada. It was delicious. The steak was so flavorful and tender, the tortilla fresh and lightly crisp. It was so simple and good! It came with hot sauce to dip in, guac, pico and sour cream. I live not too far from this place and decided to try for lunch. It was pretty busy, one table was occupied by a group in uniform. The service was very nice, all the ladies in there were fasholy hustlin. I asked if this was the norm and they said I seemed to catch them at a rush. I got three street tacos: Asada - 9/10 can't complain, generous amount of meat and not too fatty Al Pastor - 9/10 Good flavor, same comment as asada Tripa - 8/10 I usually like my tripe on the crispier side, it was a good texture but 1 piece threw me off and was oddly an oddly chewy consistency, would get again though, that piece didn't ruin the taco as a whole I also got a fish taco - 8/10 would like a bit more sauce, fish was a great flavor and lightly battered which I appreciated. They're red and green sauce was good too! I also asked for extra onions and jalapenos and they gave me a good amount for me to share with my boyfriend. He got a carne asada burrito and said it was real good. Honestly, I may start coming back more frequent, I was pleasantly impressed. The interior was cozy and the atmosphere very chill. This is for a review for a couple weekends ago that my hubby & I ordered breakfast plates along with a couple street tacos.. my husband also ordered the spicy shrimp dish which when he came to pick it up they 'forgot' to add that to my order.. because they forgot the lady at the counter said she would give us free chips & salsa which she my hubby got home there were NO chips & salsa.. btw any place that charged u for chips & salsas is highway robbery.. next the breakfast plates were the worst we ever had.. the whole plate had zero flavors to it.. the tortillas were absolutely disgusting..my tacos I asked for plain it wasn't plain.. and the shrimp fish my hubby got said it was t spicy and not very good.. wish I could give ZERO stars!! Lengua tacos 5/5 Flavorful without that funk tongue taste some has. serving is huge. and none of that under tongue cuts too. tender. pieces are a little big tho. Tripa tacos 5/5 this is the best. no other place does tripas like Jarritos. it has that char crisp but still has the chew. other places would use the stomach part but Jarrito uses the intestines that are rare. its flavor and texture is reminiscent of Filipino Isaw. Came here on a slow Sunday night 12/17/2023. I ordered on the phone at 5:45pm for 2 steak tacos no onions add cheese and sour cream and then 2 fish tacos (the same way) not a huge order. They told me 15 minutes it'll be ready. I get off work at 6pm and the drive from my job to the restaurant is 10 minutes so I thought the order would be ready when I got there.
