Came here on a slow Sunday night 12/17/2023. I ordered on the phone at 5:45pm for 2 steak tacos no onions add cheese and sour cream and then 2 fish tacos (the same way) not a huge order. They told me 15 minutes it'll be ready. I get off work at 6pm and the drive from my job to the restaurant is 10 minutes so I thought the order would be ready when I got there. I get there and they're scrambling trying to find my order. The cashier who rings me up keeps charging me for only 1 of each taco and I kept telling her that she's supposed to charge me 2 tacos. Also I asked to get a small strawberry drink and she keeps ringing me up for 2, but I kept telling her I only wanted 1 drink. To add after I paid, I still noticed the cashier charged me for 2 drinks! Like omg lol. Another cashier refunds me, and I ask if the food is ready bc at this point it's about 6:15 (again keep in mind I order on the phone at 5:45). She asks the cooks and they say they had to remake my food bc I asked for shrimp tacos instead. Like what? I never said that. I got the Camarones Rellenos (Shrimp with cheese and bacon). Wow, super small child size portions of beans and rice. The beans were delicious, but the rice tasted like it was the bottom end of the batch. I was excited to have 3 hand made tortillas, but there was not enough food to make 3 tacos. The shrimp were flavorless other than the bacon and I could barely taste a hint of cheese. They were quarter sized, if I'm being generous. The shrimp did not taste fishy, they tasted pretty fresh. My husband who is from Michoacan had the Enchiladas Michoacanas with Chicken. He was extremely disappointed and felt the sauce was very bland and watered down. His review was 1 star. We were traveling through Fairfield and staying at a hotel for the night. We ordered for pick up a plate of beef milanesa con papas ($16.50), and the 2 enchiladas combo ($9.75) The enchiladas were OK, but The breaded meat was fried so long that it turned very dark brown (almost black) and was almost inedible. Do they throw kitchen mistakes to the pickup orders ??? They wouldn't serve nearly burnt meat to a customer dining in person, right ? If you want to order for pickup, suggest you make them show you what they packed, before driving away. read more

Every Mexican restaurant I frequent was close so I drove up Texas st in look for an open Mexican place. Saw this one and it was open. Walked in and it seemed semi busy. They took our order and we sat down to wait. The wait was average. Service was average. My shrimp cocktail was good. The juice had real real good flavor. Reminds me of mine. Yet my slight disappointment comes from the shrimp and octopus. They had no flavor. Although they where generous with the amount they lack flavored. I think they might have not added salt to them when they cooked them. In the past I've heard that you don't add salt because they come from the sea and the water is salty ( well guess what you still have to season it) Any ways the overall thing was good. Not the best but by far not the worst. Season the shrimp and it might be the best even better than mine. Horchata was good. Slightly sweeter than I would like, yet not bad at all. Funny, I've always passed by here but I've never tried it out until recently. Tacos are a bit pricer than other places, but it's well worth it. Also they have suadero! Tried all the meat tacos, fish taco, and their quesadilla. Fish taco wasn't crispy though, but the flavoring was on point! the only complaint I have along with others is the chips and salsa. Chips are fine, but the H E double L is up with your salsa? Pace jar salsa from the store tastes better, and it's thicker! Common! WOOOOOOOW this place is SO good. I've been looking for some authentic Mexican street tacos or/simply Mexican food, I definitely found it. I came over last week with my friend and it wAs delicious. It's very big and cozy inside. The menus have pictures. And they make their tacos outside on the grill!!!! I'm definitely coming back again and try more items. My asada tacos were very delicious and meat was juicy! The place doesn't look like much and the area kinda sketch but sometimes those places are best! I can't rate everything I just had tacos with the hubbs. We liked it. Tons of flavor! If I'm in the area again I know a good spot for authentic tacos for sure. Not a complaint on their food, in fact I like it. It's a complain about their deceptive advertising. I ordered the 3 enchiladas suizas plate for take out due to COVID-19. Drive down, pay for order drive home to eat, open container and find only two enchiladas. Call restaurant back and tell them I only received two enchiladas on their advertised three enchiladas plate. The young lady who took my call said it only came with two enchiladas. I pointed out their menu advertises three enchiladas, they call it a three enchiladas plate and the photograph shows three enchiladas. All she said was "sorry".
