Passed here while picking up some food and had to stop in and JUST BROWSE. Well we all know that didn't happen. Moment of walking in smelled amazing. Everything looked fresh. I couldn't go home empty handed. Bought spinach and cheese empanada, black and white cookie and a few apple things. Fresh and amazing.... Almost forgot... carrot cake was moist and fresh....

Came here for a hot beverage & went with the Masala Chai, I was very underwhelmed. It just tasted like milk. They do have a large variety of baked goods, which I did not try. I would give this bakery another shot, maybe other beverages or baked goods will be better! The staff was very friendly and patient with me since I took a couple of minutes to decide what I wanted to order!

We bought a few baked goods like their chocolate and plain , crumb cake, empanadas, and other fresh goods. We sat for a cappuccino and this coconut ring. We will definitely be back to try their other yummy goods. #supportlocalbusiness

Dry Cake, Terrible After Taste ...

Stopped in today 7/16 to get a birthday cake for my son. The counter was filled with what looked like new cakes, the first cake we picked the girl behind the counter said "I can't sell you that one" the cake has cracks in it , I must have missed that one this morning. We finally picked another, when we cut into it, the vanilla cake inside was very dry and had a bad after taste, I would "NOT RECOMMEND" This bakery, The Allwood bakery would never put old cakes into the showcase, disgusting

In 1983, I arrived in New Jersey to begin my professional football journey with the New York…read moreGiants. As a young kid from Louisiana, one of the first things I missed was the culture, flavor, and sweet treats that reminded me of home in New Orleans. Back then, my teammates used to tease me relentlessly about being the "fat rookie from Louisiana" because I was always chasing pralines, cookies, pastries, and every sugary delight imaginable. Not long after arriving, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that instantly made me feel at home -- Lyndhurst Pastry Shop. This led me to "SACKING" tons of NFC QB's over the years. From day one, Paulette, Jerry, her father, and the entire staff have treated me like family. Decades later, they are still absolutely knocking it out of the park. Whether it's their incredible Italian ice, authentic cannoli, specialty cookies, or my personal weakness -- their unbelievable apple rings -- this place never disappoints. Truth be told, I can't stop there without bringing one home for my wife. Some places serve food. Others serve memories, tradition, and comfort. Lyndhurst Pastry Shop has done that for me for over 40 years. A true North Jersey institution. Five stars isn't enough -- if I could give them 10 stars, I absolutely would. Leonard A. The Lyndhurst Pastry Shop located on Ridge Road is an iconic must visit during the holiday season…read more There quality pastry, cookie, pie, bread, and cakes are without peer and their staff is always professional and top rate. I ordered the Christmas Honey balls ($19.95) and the Fudge Layer Cake ($29.50) and while I disagree with the credit card fee being passed to the consumer, the quality of the product exceeds that cost. Inside the venue is a true classic bakery atmosphere and while there is usually a line, the service is brisk and moves fairly quickly. If you want to impress your holiday season guests, family or friends, the LPS is the right venue for traditional Italian baked goods and desserts! As i return to NJ for the holidays, I will make at least three or four stops at LPS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Saw them on Instagram for the soda bar and decided to try it out with my daughters…read more It's a little cafe with a bar to one side and dining area in back and a patio to sit down out front. Service was friendly. We tried three of the sodas and they were pretty good. I had the dirty Dr Pepper and it was a change of pace from regular soda. My daughters enjoyed there selections as well. The food we saw looked pretty good so next time we might stop back and try that. Nice local business to give a try in Bloomfield.

Ladyfingers Bakery has been on my list to visit for a while--I've seen it all over social media,…read moreand I was really excited to finally check it out. The space itself absolutely lives up to the hype. It looks just like the pictures and videos online. Beautifully decorated, trendy, and very inviting. The staff was also friendly, which made for a pleasant experience overall. Unfortunately, the food didn't taste as good as it looked. I ordered the buttermilk cast iron pancake with berries, turkey sausage, and scrambled eggs on the side. The pancake itself was disappointing. It tasted more like cornbread, and not the slightly sweet kind like Jiffy, but more savory and noticeably salty. It was also pretty dry. The mascarpone cream and berries helped balance things out a bit, but I'm not sure if too much lemon or salt was added because my pancake leaned heavily on the salty side. I also tried the "All Night Long" drink, which I actually really enjoyed. It was strong and well-made, and I'd definitely recommend it. Overall, while the ambiance and drinks were highlights, the food didn't quite meet expectations. I can't say I'd rush back, but if I did, I'd be curious to try one of their dirty sodas instead.
