I want to begin by saying I run a successful business that is well known in the Boston area. I was…read morenominated as the Boston Celtics' "Small Business of the Game" and my whole career has been based on "customer service." I also worked at the front desk of a hotel for two years while I attended Wellesley College and after that I worked as a paralegal at prominent firms in Boston before starting my business. I *deeply* understand customer service, professionalism, and the weight of negative Yelp reviews which is why I have quite literally never written one. I originally wrote a negative review (and it was the first negative review I have ever written on Yelp) because I had a negative experience with one of the front desk agents at first. But one of the things I also understand working in customer service is that if you give a business the feedback they need to make changes and to "make things right" and they are receptive to that feedback, a business should not be judged because of a one off experience. I was able to communicate my issues and I am updating my review to reflect that the hotel handled my feedback professionally and for that I am very grateful.

You still get the quality, comfort, and reliability of Hilton while also getting a hotel that actually has personality and charm that reflects the area instead of feeling like a generic chain. The decor is incredible. So much cool nostalgic artwork, bright pops of color, music references, and fun themed touches like old-school phone booths and a vintage motorcycle display. It feels lively, stylish, and upbeat while still being relaxed and comfortable. The music, lighting, and overall atmosphere instantly put you in a good mood. I got one of the newly renovated rooms which was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed was great and I slept really well. The gym is simple but completely serviceable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is also excellent. It is very easy to access from the freeway and it is close to great food, shopping, and anything else you might need. Overall this is a hotel that is actually enjoyable to stay in. Clean, comfortable, full of character, and just fun to be in. I loved it and would absolutely stay here again.

The marketplace had basic food options and provides coffee and tea through the night. The bar looks like a nice place to hang out. The hotel is clean and decor is nice. I really liked the saline pool so you don't have the overwhelming chlorine smell especially since it's an indoor pool. It was heated and the water was very clear. You need to inform the Front Desk staff if you want to use it because this hotel's policy requires a lifeguard to be on duty when you use the pool. It was no problem because by the time we went to our room to change and went back to the pool, the lifeguard was there or got there a few minutes after we arrived. Overall, the room is very nice and the toiletries provided were pleasantly scented. The bathroom had interesting wallpaper in the bathroom. I liked the WiFi speaker so I could play my own music. The bed was very comfortable and I got a good sleep. Mini fridge always nice to have so you can put in some drinks. The parking lot has many electric car chargers.

The guest key is linked to the elevator providing security. You must swipe your key card and select your floor for access. We had a wonderful stay. The facility and grounds were well taken care of. Beth and Joey at the front desk were very helpful. We had a ceiling light and stove light out and the maintenance and engineering tech was very fast, pleasant, and easy to work with (sorry I didn't catch his name) and got it fixed right off. The kitchen worked out well. We cooked a few things and was glad to have a full fridge and freezer. Everything worked well and was stocked nicely. The temperature controls and unit worked well. They have a nice gym, walking path, doggies station, breakfast area, common seating areas and outdoor space. The only thing that was a bit disheartening were a few of the guests didn't always pick up after their pooches. Thankfully there were plenty of waste baggies so I did my fair share of clean up. I am really thankful to have pet friendly places to stay and wish other people did their part. We did have a run in with a guest who couldn't manage their two dogs so word of caution to be alert around other pups. The breakfast was decent with a variety of options such as oat milk, vegan foods, hot oatmeal, bagels, waffles, french toast, eggs, sausage and vegan sausage. Lots of condiments like PB, cranberry, nuts, seeds, juices and more. The staff did a great job cleaning up and keeping the food and coffee stations filled. One family with their young tots made a full blown disaster and I thanked the ladies who came up after to pick up and scrub it down. We had a king size bed with 4 pillows and extra bedding in the drawers. It was very comfortable as I've always slept well on Marriott mattresses. The room had plenty of storage to unpack, an ironing board, and updated outlets for charging. The rooms were cleaned every other day but I did ask them to come more often to vacuum up after the pup. I appreciated them very much. The view to the outside over route 9 towards the Natick mall was nice. It wasn't too loud and I enjoyed being able to see the grounds. The tree leaves were turning color and the ground people did a great job mowing, trimming and keeping the place looking nice. I look forward to our next stay and highly recommend this location. We met some long term stay guest who were also quite nice. Thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and welcoming.

My room was clearly in need of renovation. Old/faded/dated/chipped everything. Awkward space (the bathroom door is hard to navigate around as its arc consumes most of the tiny bathroom). It did smell clean/seem mostly clean (although I didn't white glove test anything) but my shower curtain was clearly soiled with squirts of what I hope was body wash or conditioner from the last guest. The hot/cold water in the bath/shower was backwards (had to push it to cold to get warm water) and leaked out of the handle while it was on. The heater made a loud rattling noise when it was on - but it was too cold to sleep with if off. This coupled with a loud gurgling noise consistently coming from the refrigerator (which is located right next to the head of the bed - really??) - it was very difficult to sleep which definitely impacted my performance at my meetings the next day. The fitness area/gym was terrible with broken equipment and a moldy smell. I also struggled to find something healthy to eat for breakfast. Fortunately the server in the restaurant recognized my struggle and asked the chef to prepare an egg white omelette for me as part of the breakfast buffet. It wasn't the best, but another case of the awesome staff saving what would have otherwise been a bad experience. I do understand that the hotel is undergoing renovations- and I did get a tip (too late for this visit) to ask for a renovated room next time. So I wouldn't write this off as a viable option in the future, but based on this visit (11/2024), there is a lot to be desired.

The bedside lamp didn't work but we found by plugging something into the outlet around the corner near the bathroom ( which was loose and didn't work), the bedside light flickered! We of course told them when we checked out, which the friendly desk person wrote up right away and thanked us. The building itself isn't up to Marriott standards but the staff was exceptional.

Everything in the room was clean and passed the blacklight test with flying colors (I take one on vacation, because I am that type of weird). The room was overall surprisingly large! This applies to the room itself, the vanity, the closet, and the bathroom. Some things were a little plain and in various shades of brown, but I am one who looks for a place to stay, not a magnificent work of architectural and interior design. If there is one thing I can personally ding them ever-so-slightly on, it's the bedding. I am the cousin of the The Princess and the Pea, and the conditions for this faux royalty to sleep tight have to be just right (wait, does that make me Goldilocks?). I would have preferred a slightly softer mattress, less firm pillow, and sheets pulled taut with military-grade exactitude. Of course, that's just me and my preferences, YMMV. Where it comes to their staff, everyone I've encountered has been pleasant and kind. While I am not someone who cares for amenities beyond daily housekeeping, I've found they were pretty limited. There is a coffee station, a mini-mart, and that's pretty much it (IIRC). Final verdict: Other than bedding that could be slightly better for this old grouch, the stay was perfectly fine. It took care of everything I seek when I crash for the night. That said, there was also nothing remarkable or above and beyond about the experience. With that, a rock-solid three, not because of issues, but the lack of anything remotely noteworthy.

I do wonder how Marriott marketing tries to differentiate this suite brand from their Residence Inns which I prefer...? This location is very tricky to get to since it is on a road that is basically a 60mph street with no turn/exit lanes. If coming from the west good luck accessing the place. Also leaving the parking lot onto this highway is a danger especially with Boston drivers! At check-in the one clerk was totally consumed with a customer dealing with some non-check -in issue. Finally after waiting 10 minutes she decided to divert her attention and check me in. When I asked about a room upgrade as an elite member she mumbled something about them being booked up but it was clear from the parking lot that this place was pretty empty. This was the fourth Marriott property we stayed at on this trip and the least friendly front desk. The room was fine especially since it is a newer property though we did report an issue with the shower door automatically opening while showering causing a mini flood. Also the bathroom was tiny. The free breakfast was by far the skimpiest we have encountered at any Marriott property that provides a breakfast. It was surprising how limited the choices were. Also this breakfsst was shared with the Fairfield Inn which is in the same building (the Sheraton also in the same building does not offer free breakfast but I am not sure what stops there guests from eating here.) Overall a pretty mediocre experience.

The two suite hotels share a common lobby and registration desk, and a walkway takes you into the big Sheraton with its restaurants and conference center. So, make sure you know who you made a reservation with! The TownePlace Suites is new. Our room was magnificent, the guest room was large, the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed (including a fridge), we had a coffee maker, a work desk, a flatscreen TV, and the shower's water pressure was the most powerful I've experienced in quite a while. The hotel WIFI was easy to access and worked flawlessly. The complimentary breakfast was very good -cereals, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, yogurt, etc. Pretty much all of the essentials. The only sour note of our stay was our checkout experience. Not a lot of friendliness or warmth there, just a perfunctory "you're all set" while barely looking up from her phone.

You'll have to weave around a cloverleaf or two and enter a massive corporate park because the hotel is smack in the middle of an office complex housing the international headquarters of Staples. Our suite room was big enough as were the kitchen and bathroom. The issues we encountered were the little things, lots of little things. Our suite room inexplicably had an open bed dominating the center of the room. That was odd. The bathroom had a vent in the ceiling that seemed to be there just for show because it didn't work. There was dust and dirt all over the vent, and there was mold/rot on the bottom of the bathroom door frame. In all fairness, the bathroom was big and the shower was great. There was a nice TV in the suite room and the bedroom, but just one remote. The hotel TVs are on the DISH network, and although it wasn't the hotel's fault, DISH doesn't carry FOX, so our plans to watch the Yankees-Red Sox game went down the drain. The hotel had two elevators but only one was working. Our room had those little rectangular coffee pods that you place in the tray of a one-cup coffee maker. The problem was there was no coffee-maker. I explained this to the front desk and they gave me a coffee maker that was a Mr. Coffee-like ten cup drip machine that needed those triangular paper filters and a bag of coffee grinds. Epic fail. The included breakfast fell far short of what we customarily see at other Marriott Residence Inns and comparative hotels. The buffet had hot trays of sausage, gravy, biscuits, a waffle machine, a cereal bar (corn flakes and raisin bran) with toppings, oatmeal, bread, bagel, English muffins, juice, and apples. What it didn't have were the standards we see everywhere else - no yogurt, no cut fruit or bananas or berries for the cereal, no danish or pastries, and no eggs. Not even a bowl of hard boiled eggs. So draw your own conclusions- do the bads outweigh the goods?
