Very mediocre at best. My request for an upper level room was not honored. There is one lone low wattage microwave for the entire hotel, and the rooms have bathtubs instead of showers which flooded the bathroom floor and almost lead to a fall after slipping. The free coffee in the lobby was possibly the worst coffee I ever had, and the parking slots are very narrow, so I guess the damage coverage I got on the rental car was a smart move. I arrived late due to flight delays and called to inform the hotel while we were stuck on the taxiway, but the desk agent seemed to harp on knowing when exactly I would arrive. Since the airline wouldn't let me taxi the A321 to the gate, I had no control over the situation. Snow on the roads from Logan to Natick also caused a delay. Finally I just told the clerk, "I will be there, but I can't give you an exact TOA." It's not easy being the first person ever to be delayed by airline arrival and inclement road conditions. I would definitely stay here again, the staff is extremely helpful and accommodating, which makes for a pleasant stay. Some of the bath rooms are more updated, even though there's a lot of things that still need upgrades. They do offer a very nice breakfast daily and there's a sports bar attached, which makes for an accommodating visit. I called the day before we were checking in during the middle of summer for a weeknight reservation and managed to get one. Because we waited so long, the price ($250) wasn't cheap nor was the room the best one available. In fact, it was at the very end of the hall near the exterior exit. As a result, I was woken up several times by the exterior door slamming shut and people yelling from outside. The room wasn't also worn out, with rust on the bathroom floor, torn and tattered couch cushions, doors that didn't line up with the doorways properly, and (worst of all) a toilet that kept running throughout the night. On the bright side, the staff were pleasant, the complimentary breakfast was good, the price was a lot cheaper than other nearby hotels, and the A/C worked well. Did we just get stuck with the worst room on the floor (the least one they rent out), or are they all like this? I dunno, and I doubt we will be back. Families looking for an affordable stay will find this place decent, but you do get what you pay for. read more

The walls are this and the bed not comfortable. I stay at Hampton Inns often so count me surprised to find one that so dated in the interior and with such uncomfortable beds. Luckily I was passing through and didn't stay longer, wouldn't stay again. Also, the staff here aren't very welcoming, not a good experience. read more

Clean and just what I was looking for. Best part was the proximity to the Natick mall and lots of place to eat in walking distance. They have a restaurant attached and a small store/counter in lobby for any last minute needs can add those items to room which made things a bit easier for me. Not a good stay. I traveled with a group of six that had a new story to tell about the hotel everyday. Some of the popular topics were thermostats that didn't work, dirty rooms, doors that didn't close properly, incorrect billing, lost reservations, barely edible breakfast and full on debates about if a refrigerator was in the room or not. In the event someone thinks I'm sharpshooting them, we weren't the only guests that had issues. A number of people were overheard discussing billing issues as we passed by the front desk. I hope they can fix the issues because it's a great location, however I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there anytime soon. read more

It's pretty tricky to find your way to the hotel. You can see it but if you're not used to "driving in Boston" it can be confusing. The room was fine. My biggest complaint is the bathrooms. It's way too small. Like someone said in another post, you can barely fit one person in there! It's really cramped in there. That said, everything else was OK. The beds are comfortable and I like how they clean the duvet cover. The free breakfast is a plus too. They rotate the protein/carbs. The 5 nights I stayed I had bacon, sausage, mini omelets, pancakes,and french toast. They always have the make your own waffle iron as well as a variety of muffins and breads. The yogurt and fresh fruit was a welcome site. The parking in the front is limited so you may be forced to pack in the back (pretty darK) on towards the left in the parking lot shared with the shopping center. There is back entrance so you don't need to walk back to the front but it can be quite dark back there. For the price and convenicne, i'd probably stay here again next time I'm in town... read more

I had two reasons for choosing this hotel: I love Hampton Inn and this one had a perfect location. It's about 13 miles out from the university where I had business the next day. Hotels in the city were significantly more expensive and if I remember correctly, they charge a lot for parking. Even though my employer was paying, I couldn't justify the extra cost. The location is convenient to the highway and I had no trouble getting to it. Parking was free and convenient. As is the Hampton way, the bedding was great and the room, hall, and elevator were spotless. There was no noise problem. The bathroom, though, had two small problems. The top of the baseboard had accumulated dust or dirt and suggested a deep cleaning of the bathroom wouldn't hurt. Second, half of the shower door wouldn't slide so I had to lift it into position. I reported that at the desk on my way out in the morning. The bathroom is really small with the wonderful shower taking up 25 to 33% of the room. Fixtures were fine as was general cleanliness. I see that other reviews mention the age of the property and wear and tear. I didn't really see an issue but maybe some rooms have taken more abuse than others. Perhaps my imagination went wild, but I thought they had the largest breakfast buffet that I had seen at a Hampton Inn. As usual, it's not a gourmet breakfast but it's certainly good and filling. I would definitely stay here again when driving into Boston. read more

This is a rather worn Hampton. I'm a Hilton rewards member and this location doesn't seem to apply the same national Hilton standards. They have worn doors, walls, lobby and elevators. Their parking lot had more sand than the local beach. Their front entrance felt like you are entering a night club. I'd probably stay somewhere else if I'm in the area. read more

Stayed here recently for work. Room was fine, no issues. Not too noisy, slept fine. Free breakfast was pretty good, nice to be able to read the paper and watch TV and have a regular breakfast before you start the day. The sports bar attached to the hotel had a good beer selection and the service was fine. If business takes me to this region again, would certainly consider staying here again. Parking is a huge free lot and right by the highway. The roads right nearby are a little confusing the first time you go there, so just be on the lookout otherwise you have to circle around. read more

Friendly staff, great location close to the mall. The hotel is a bit dated and doesn't have a swing pool or Jacuzzi. Parking is free with the large parking lot in front. Breakfast has the usual stuff hot cooked food and yogurt fruit and other good stuff. The staff here is very helpful and friendly. The skyboxx restaurant is attached to the hotel and serves some decent dinner selections at reasonable prices. I got a large greens salad with salmon for $13 read more

This Hampton Inn is one of the older properties that is sorely needing updating. My most recent stay for a BU event was unpleasant. The male 'overnight' staff on Friday and Saturday evenings were not interested in us. We were a late check in and the three gentlemen (where are the kind females?) were just abrasive and unwelcoming. When I asked for the manager, one looked at me and said "the manager won't be in until Monday...". OK, but what about my needs now? The room was musty, a bit unpleasant smelling, had a broken mirror, footprints on the wall and stains on the carpet leaves with the obvious imporession that the cleaning and attention on the rooms is lacking/non existent? What about my disabled needs when I tried to check in and there was a Cadillac SUV parked in the front that was unattended (regardless of the "Fire Lane; do not leave vehicle unattended" sign? Nobody could offer any help. The staff is inexperienced or really just doesn't care about returning guests. I will not be coming back to this location and will talk with Hilton corporate about this property as it should not be in service and should clearly be overhauled both physically and from an HR perspective. I have lowered my review to a 1 star based on the fact that an email to Ed (General Manager) went unanswered. Typical of a manager that realizes that he needs to do something about the establishment. I won't be returning. Read all of the 2 star reviews regarding smells and mold and yes, they are consistent with my experience. read more

Very good experience here. Convenient to I-90 and affordable. Mattresses were great, loved the choices of pillows, Neutrogena bath products, and the breakfast was very good. The gym is adequate, as is the lobby, although I wish that there was more seating space in the large and empty-feeling lobby rather than the few, small couches set in a corner. Also wish that there was garden space and a few chairs, to be able to sit outside and read, relax, etc., but that's me just being fussy. Staff is very friendly, especially the breakfast staff, as well as the woman who cleaned out room (6th floor, did not get her name) and went out of her way to show us how to use the A/C. I'm a Hilton lifetime diamond member and have stayed in many Hilton properties including Hampton inns , this one was like stepping back in time basically no amenities to speak of no in room microwave no refrigerator very sparse and dated .I feel like I paid Hilton prices for a way below standard room ! In other words I feel cheated !! The only bright spot in all this was the lady at the counter when I checked in, she did her best to be positive and helpful but unfortunately she didn't have much to work with! read more

Full disclosure: We're a Marriott couple. We're staying here because we got a ridiculously low rate. That being said, I would be *extremely* disappointed if I had paid the ~$150/night regular price for this room because... This hotel is old and it shows - humongous super loud heater, paper thin walls and windows, ceiling falling apart, slow AF elevators, etc. Rooms are haphazardly appointed, like thrift store mishmash (i.e., the console/entryway table where the coffee maker sits, the ultra low "coffee" table where the ice bucket sits, the chair in between the desk and dresser with no discernable purpose, and the undersized sitting chair in the corner with no ottoman). Plus, no mini fridge! Although I can't deduct points for that because when we called the front desk to inquire, they quickly had one delivered to our room. Phew; warm beer disaster narrowly averted! Bathrooms are teeeeny; very little counter space and the shower stall (no tub) would not fit a large person comfortably. But water pressure and temperature were great! Closet is also ridiculously narrow and has a 2 sliding door system which makes use of the already very small space extremely awkward. The rooms seem overall very poorly conceived. Beds are decently comfortable, duvet is very pretty, room was clean, and staff was friendly and responsive. TLDR: this place would be fine if it were a budget option (not Hilton "budget," wallet budget) but it's not, so expectations are reasonably higher. I'd recommend you spend your hard earned money (or points) on a different hotel. read more

Aside from the usual, they were undergoing renovation the last time I was here back in August and they're sprucing up the rooms with Flat screen TV's, elegant bathroom fixtures and stuff like that. 1 Complaint - You've got a flat screen TV but no HD signal so... what's the point? (let's hope that changes) The neighborhood is bustling with Restaurants, Malls and Shopping Centers but this hotel is in a fairly quiet area. If you're here on business, you'll be just fine as long as you have a car! If not, there's a rental car desk in the lobby or the complimentary shuttle. It's not very convenient to get to Boston from here: You either take Mass Pike and pay a toll or take Worcester Rd/Rt 9 (FREE but local road) all the way into town. I think there's a light rail system (commuter train) in the area but I've never taken it. read more

This Inn was a pleasant surprise. I usually stay at the Courtyard Marriott cuz of my points but it's a pretty crappy courtyard. Lucky for me, it was sold out so I figured I might as well try something new. It's your stereotypical Inn but I do love the fact that they wash their duvets for every guest. And it's an actual duvet, not a sheet, blanket, sheet so there's no worries when you're tossing and turning. The one MAJOR downfall however is the fact that I could hear the guys in the next room when they were talking and then their SNORING!! So the walls a little thin but I think at the end of the day I'd still take this over the courtyard... read more

I recently stayed here for a night and was incredibly impressed by my overall experience. The staff that greeted us when we arrived were very friendly, I had already checked us in online and they had our keys sitting there waiting for us. Our room was already nice and warm (it was 10 outside) so that was a big plus, everything was modern and I appreciated all the amenities the Hampton Inn offers. Breakfast is delicious in a big beautifully decorated room, and the staff was able to quickly assist us when we realized we had forgotten some toiletries at home. Overall, the experience was wonderful. My only complaints would be that there wasn't a tub (something thats not generally a big deal for most), and the walls seemed a little thin. I will give them the benefit of the doubt though, as our neighbors were young children screaming and talking loudly. I'm sure a call down to the front would have resolved the issues, but I chose to just let them have a good time. I highly recommend staying here if you need a warm, comfortable place to sleep with a great breakfast! read more

This place is near the headquarters for the company I work for. There are several hotels in the area but this one has been remodeled recently. I understand that before the remodel the place was kinda sketchy. It's a little tricky to find. The pluses are that it's inexpensive, clean, everything is pretty new, there's wireless for free, there's HBO, there's a flat screen TV in the room, the staff is friendly and there's a free breakfast. The rooms are fairly big too. The downsides are there's no room service and there's no HD on the TVs. The front desk does offer menus of local restaurants that deliver but the variety is kinda skimpy. read more

Well after being at the office alllll day, I come back to see housekeeping left my door open the entire damn day!!!! Luckily nothing was taken. To say the least, I was not happy. Stayed overnight in room 326. The room was clean and inviting. Front desk person was very friendly. The last elevator close to the back lobby entrance makes some crazy scary noises and bounces like the Tower of Terror at Disney. We had to place a towel at the door because there was a huge gap in between the door and carpet that was letting light from the hall. No microwave, or refrigerator. A sad little coffee maker with no tea bags and lots of coffee. Breakfast Buffett had eggs, bacon, waffles, home fries, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, pastry, bagels, breads. Very clean. Every news channel was on. It'd be nicer without news, maybe a nice ocean scene video or baby animals would be better. When we opened the curtains there was a man on a lift right outside our window on the 3rd floor. Very low pressure in the shower. Nutrageana soaps and shampoos. read more

As other reviewers mentioned, getting to and from here is a bit tricky for the first day. Speen street is sort of like an airport shuttle loop...miss your turn? No big...make the loop. read more

First time staying here and I usually try to stay at Hilton-branded properties. The good: Beds were comfortable, AC unit worked well and was not overly noisy, plenty of hot water and good water pressure for the shower, friendly desk staff The not-so-good: Parking near doors was difficult to find, no vent fan in bathroom, some cleanliness issues (face print on window and hairs on bathroom walls) The bad: Stayed in room for the better part of one day with a headache and constantly heard slamming doors (I think from housekeeping), walls were thin enough that I heard people in next room sneezing Compared to other Hilton-branded properties, it wasn't the best, but neither was it the worst. read more

Stayed here for one night. It's location is great. Its right near the mall and not too far from Boston. The look from the outside the hotel looks ok and a little old. However you can't go wrong with a Hampton Inn. The lobby was very nice. It looked like it just got remodeled. Same with the area for the breakfast. Automatically we are greeted with a warm cookie. The room was very clean. But you can see the hotel is quite old. The doors didn't work and were rusted. The overall room was clean. The bathrooms are really small. Also there is no refrigerator, which is a bummer. The complimentary breakfast has it's usuals: eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, coffee, etc. The staff is really friendly as well. read more

Stayed for a weekend. No HOT WATER !!! Each time I complained I was given a different excuse. I would have left but I was already payed in full through Hotels.com. 1st night : Ate in the restaurant and got sick. Went to make up the pull out and there were potato chips under the cushions, which to me means, it hasn't been cleaned or changed. Next day : breakfast there was no eggs, french toast, waffles or sugar. When I mentioned it and the lack of hot water to the front desk, they said there would be something in our room to make it up to us when we returned that evening. Surprise!!! 3 kit kat bars 3 hershey bars and 3 snack size choc chip cookies. 3rd and final day: No hot water, very little food available at breakfast etc. We chose to skip our last day in Boston so we could get home and shower. Requested a first floor room since my wife cannot use elevators. We booked at least 6 weeks prior. Upon arrival at 11:15 PM we were given room on the 7th floor and were told that there are no rooms in the 1st and 2nd floors. My wife tried to do the stairs and only after I marched down to the front desk and told them that this would not work, they gave us a room the the 4th floor. We Just got the feeling that could care less. I will not be staying at this location again. read more

This hotel is a real dump. Wallpaper in halls peeling, room smells like feet, broken shower door and last night here awoke to smell of electrical short - now ac doesn't work. Front desk staff pleasant, but other staff rude and inattentive. One of staff practically pushed me down to get by me. Smokers congregate around front door to lobby so you have to walk through clouds of smoke to enter or exit. Attached bar/restaurant is a dive. Absolutely not worth $200 night.
