The walls are this and the bed not comfortable. I stay at Hampton Inns often so count me surprised to find one that so dated in the interior and with such uncomfortable beds. Luckily I was passing through and didn't stay longer, wouldn't stay again. Also, the staff here aren't very welcoming, not a good experience.

It's pretty tricky to find your way to the hotel. You can see it but if you're not used to "driving in Boston" it can be confusing. The room was fine. My biggest complaint is the bathrooms. It's way too small. Like someone said in another post, you can barely fit one person in there! It's really cramped in there. That said, everything else was OK. The beds are comfortable and I like how they clean the duvet cover. The free breakfast is a plus too. They rotate the protein/carbs. The 5 nights I stayed I had bacon, sausage, mini omelets, pancakes, and french toast. They always have the make your own waffle iron as well as a variety of muffins and breads. The yogurt and fresh fruit was a welcome site. The parking in the front is limited so you may be forced to pack in the back (pretty darK) on towards the left in the parking lot shared with the shopping center. There is back entrance so you don't need to walk back to the front but it can be quite dark back there. For the price and convenicne, i'd probably stay here again next time I'm in town...

This Hampton Inn is one of the older properties that is sorely needing updating. My most recent stay for a BU event was unpleasant. The male 'overnight' staff on Friday and Saturday evenings were not interested in us. We were a late check in and the three gentlemen (where are the kind females?) were just abrasive and unwelcoming. When I asked for the manager, one looked at me and said "the manager won't be in until Monday...". OK, but what about my needs now? The room was musty, a bit unpleasant smelling, had a broken mirror, footprints on the wall and stains on the carpet leaves with the obvious imporession that the cleaning and attention on the rooms is lacking/non existent? What about my disabled needs when I tried to check in and there was a Cadillac SUV parked in the front that was unattended (regardless of the "Fire Lane; do not leave vehicle unattended" sign? Nobody could offer any help. The staff is inexperienced or really just doesn't care about returning guests. I will not be coming back to this location and will talk with Hilton corporate about this property as it should not be in service and should clearly be overhauled both physically and from an HR perspective. I have lowered my review to a 1 star based on the fact that an email to Ed (General Manager) went unanswered. Typical of a manager that realizes that he needs to do something about the establishment. I won't be returning. Read all of the 2 star reviews regarding smells and mold and yes, they are consistent with my experience.

This hotel is in need of updating. The room I received is not only dated, but not very clean. It also has a very strong food odor. I'm glad that i will only be her for one evening, if I had a longer stay, I would consider changing hotels.

Just love the scent of these Neutrogena bath products!

The guest key is linked to the elevator providing security. You must swipe your key card and select your floor for access. We had a wonderful stay. The facility and grounds were well taken care of. Beth and Joey at the front desk were very helpful. We had a ceiling light and stove light out and the maintenance and engineering tech was very fast, pleasant, and easy to work with (sorry I didn't catch his name) and got it fixed right off. The kitchen worked out well. We cooked a few things and was glad to have a full fridge and freezer. Everything worked well and was stocked nicely. The temperature controls and unit worked well. They have a nice gym, walking path, doggies station, breakfast area, common seating areas and outdoor space. The only thing that was a bit disheartening were a few of the guests didn't always pick up after their pooches. Thankfully there were plenty of waste baggies so I did my fair share of clean up. I am really thankful to have pet friendly places to stay and wish other people did their part. We did have a run in with a guest who couldn't manage their two dogs so word of caution to be alert around other pups. The breakfast was decent with a variety of options such as oat milk, vegan foods, hot oatmeal, bagels, waffles, french toast, eggs, sausage and vegan sausage. Lots of condiments like PB, cranberry, nuts, seeds, juices and more. The staff did a great job cleaning up and keeping the food and coffee stations filled. One family with their young tots made a full blown disaster and I thanked the ladies who came up after to pick up and scrub it down. We had a king size bed with 4 pillows and extra bedding in the drawers. It was very comfortable as I've always slept well on Marriott mattresses. The room had plenty of storage to unpack, an ironing board, and updated outlets for charging. The rooms were cleaned every other day but I did ask them to come more often to vacuum up after the pup. I appreciated them very much. The view to the outside over route 9 towards the Natick mall was nice. It wasn't too loud and I enjoyed being able to see the grounds. The tree leaves were turning color and the ground people did a great job mowing, trimming and keeping the place looking nice. I look forward to our next stay and highly recommend this location. We met some long term stay guest who were also quite nice. Thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and welcoming.

That gets averaged with the hotel itself which was clean and comfortable, but starting to show its age and need of maintenance. Our tv didn't work first night we arrived. Friendly maintenance man was able to fix it. The bedside lamp didn't work but we found by plugging something into the outlet around the corner near the bathroom ( which was loose and didn't work), the bedside light flickered! We of course told them when we checked out, which the friendly desk person wrote up right away and thanked us. The building itself isn't up to Marriott standards but the staff was exceptional.

Everything in the room was clean and passed the blacklight test with flying colors (I take one on vacation, because I am that type of weird). The room was overall surprisingly large! This applies to the room itself, the vanity, the closet, and the bathroom. Some things were a little plain and in various shades of brown, but I am one who looks for a place to stay, not a magnificent work of architectural and interior design. If there is one thing I can personally ding them ever-so-slightly on, it's the bedding. I am the cousin of the The Princess and the Pea, and the conditions for this faux royalty to sleep tight have to be just right (wait, does that make me Goldilocks?). I would have preferred a slightly softer mattress, less firm pillow, and sheets pulled taut with military-grade exactitude. Of course, that's just me and my preferences, YMMV. Where it comes to their staff, everyone I've encountered has been pleasant and kind. While I am not someone who cares for amenities beyond daily housekeeping, I've found they were pretty limited. There is a coffee station, a mini-mart, and that's pretty much it (IIRC). Final verdict: Other than bedding that could be slightly better for this old grouch, the stay was perfectly fine. It took care of everything I seek when I crash for the night. That said, there was also nothing remarkable or above and beyond about the experience. With that, a rock-solid three, not because of issues, but the lack of anything remotely noteworthy.

I also worked at the front desk of a hotel for two years while I attended Wellesley College and after that I worked as a paralegal at prominent firms in Boston before starting my business. I *deeply* understand customer service, professionalism, and the weight of negative Yelp reviews which is why I have quite literally never written one. I originally wrote a negative review (and it was the first negative review I have ever written on Yelp) because I had a negative experience with one of the front desk agents at first. But one of the things I also understand working in customer service is that if you give a business the feedback they need to make changes and to "make things right" and they are receptive to that feedback, a business should not be judged because of a one off experience. I was able to communicate my issues and I am updating my review to reflect that the hotel handled my feedback professionally and for that I am very grateful.

Half of the rooms had lake views, and all rooms had views of the beautiful fall foliage. The Club was right on the path through campus and around the lake, which took about an hour to walk [briskly] around. The rooms themselves retained their original mid-century charm, including a brick interior wall, a built-in wood shelving/closet feature, period accurate furniture (I'm a bit of a mid century design snob), and some original 50s/60s style bathroom tile. The room had plenty of space and a comfortable king sized bed, although many of the people I was with mentioned having small, twin sized beds in their rooms. The meeting facilities were also beautiful, with incredible views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. There were multiple room options of varying sizes, in addition to numerous service packages, from beer/wine, to buffet, to snacks and drinks. We had several meals in the Club, all of which were excellent. The New England fare included clams, mussels, and clam chowder, which I particularly enjoyed. Even the lunch sandwich buffets were excellent. I found breakfast to be a bit lacking, but I'm not a big hot breakfast person anyways, so just a bagel was sufficient for me. Staff in the Club were beyond friendly and professional. I truly felt like I was staying in a 5* resort due to the staff's hospitality. I can't say anything about value for the cost because I'm not sure how much the space costs to rent or stay overnight, but rest assured you will get a beautiful space with top-notch service when using the facilities at this Club.
