Looks nothing like the pictures. The bathroom was ancient and filthy ! Water from the sink would not turn off. There was so much black mold in the shower I wouldn't dare get in it ! Neither the heat nor the AC worked. Floor was filthy. And to top things off , there were mice in the room. And not one iota of this information phased anyone at the reception desk when I left . They said take it up with Expedia because that's where you booked it from. How Expedia can have a motel like this on their list it's crazy! Do they not check out their listings? All the prices the girl gave me were through the roof - 175+ a night and we would be attending for around a month. On the phone she advised me she had a room here. I was informed it had the same rating as the Hilton - OMG what a lie! I assume I dialed some company that was advertising on the same page by mistake, bad on me! I paid for a week in advance - no refunds. They would like to charge a normal person 99 for our second room that we received. 2nd room you ask? That's because the 1st room was worse with a yellow bathroom and the green bathroom room was our upgrade! I cried! I went out the next day and purchased cleaners .. you will see one picture with a white mr. clean sponge .. that shows one swipe in the tub I wouldn't even shower till I cleaned the room. No jokes! I spend the first day 6 hours scrubbing the room devastated that I had made such a grave error. My biggest mistake was not checking my yelp before I gave my credit card information over the phone! So in the past I see they had bed bugs when I finally contacted the health board found out all rooms had been condemned but they have since re opened and do have matress protectors on the bed. Did not even go in. Drove into the parking lot past the home-made looking motel sign (hotwire said it's an inn) and drove back out. The bldg looked like it should be condemned. Stayed here for two nights. Booked online the night before. Wasn't even greeted with a "hello" when coming in, instead was asked "Reservation?" like I'm ordering fast food. Good accommodations start with first impressions, and that wasn't very accommodating. We were given a room in the far side of the hotel. The room was clean but smelled like someone was smoking in it (we booked a non-smoking). The bathroom had a partially broken window. Figured no one would want to trek through the jungle of weeds behind the hotel anyway. Fortunately, it was summer so the open window actually became a plus. The air conditioner worked fine, except it made the carpet wet in front of it. There was also a bug that crawled from under the microwave and ran behind refrigerator, but I never saw it again after. The comforter on the bed had holes in it, so we didn't use it. Overall, it's a great motel because of it's location. It's only 30 minutes from Boston and 5 minutes from Shopper's World and Natick Mall. The room was CLEAN. They offered a free breakfast in the lobby. The free WiFi had poor reception and would go on and off frequently, but it wasn't a big deal. My biggest concern would be the bugs - a mosquito in the bathroom from the open window, a bug on the fridge, and possible bed bugs from the holes in the comforter. Bottom Line: I wouldn't stay here again, however, I would stay in Framingham/Natick again. read more

I will start by saying that this is a horrific, vile, disgusting miserable place to stay. Everything in the two rooms I booked was broken down and filthy. It is so disgusting that I took pictures to send to the health department. The refrigerator was full of ice and rattled. Fortunately, the air conditioner rattled louder once I turned it on so that I couldn't hear the refrigerator any more. The staff is unprofessional and their veracity should be taken with more than grain of salt. They advertise internet connectivity but it would have been much easier to get a connection to three of the nearby hotels than to get a connection to their router. I couldn't maintain a connection for more than a few seconds. The furniture is old and dirty. The TV had a big splotch of something on the screen. It had to be at least 30 years old. The CARPET is filthy everywhere. Stains everywhere you look. The hallway leading to the second floor had broken down appliances turned backwards. The ice machine was broken and smelled so it hadn't been on for some time. I refused to sit in the desk chair because of the filth and body fluids dried into the fabric. The curtain in my room looked like it had been slept in. ...and just when you think it can't get worse, THERE IS THE SMELL.. A cross between body odor, an ash tray, mold and mouse dropping stewed to perfection with a hint of spray deodorant that doesn't have a prayer of working. ...and THAT was the SECOND room that I got because I complained about my first room!!!! I just had the great misfortune of staying at this hotel. In the middle of winter, there was neither heat nor adequate hot water in the room. Management did nothing to help other than claim that the water was so hot "you can't even put your hand in it" when in fact it was lukewarm at best. Our request to be moved to another room so we might have some heat and the chance to take showers before we checked-out were ignored. i absolutely WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone who is expecting a good wifi connection and smoke free room, i was in town for business and didnt want to spend $100+ a night although in the end i spent more just staying here because i had to buy sheets, cleaning supplies, a heater, towel, also a wifi extender. This is NOT the place. The sheets and towel are discolored, although i brought my own bed-sheets including a bedbug protectant mattress cover as well as towels. I DID NOT HAVE ANY HEAT ALL 7 NIGHTS During MY STAY, the lady promised to give me a small heater and never did it. I gave up day 3 and went to walmart and had to buy a heater. They came and fixed my electric on day 2 (the light didnt work at all!!) after fixing it, it went out again and they refused to fix it and told me to take it up with the manager. Can I rate it a zero? There must have been a convention or something in town because every major hotel within 20 miles of Framingham was booked. I figured, its only 2 nights, how bad can it be? Its that bad. The place STANK, mainly of heavily scented cleaning products. Obviously a necessity. See the pictures I took of the bathroom and their idea of "repairs". I am quite certain that this hotel usually rents rooms by the hour. The TV was a fat CRT TV from maybe 20 years ago. The air conditioner rattled loudly and kept the room at a comfortable 78 degrees. The staff were like condemned denizens of Hades. Soulless and utterly disinterested at best. I don't stay in 5 star hotels. I made the mistake of going here on Aug 03/2017 at around 9:45 pm. I was distraught, not thinking right having going through a horrible family crises and needed to put my daughter and grand son up in a room. Had my mind been more clear I would have turned and left when the front desk man told me that the rooms were a little more expensive if you get them after 7 pm. Being frazzled, shocked, and over tired (been awake for over 24 hours at this point after working a hard shift and having to deal with something bad) I didn't want to argue, I just needed a safe place for my loved ones. He proceeded to charge me $121.75 for the room which I paid for on my bank card. After I told my daughter about it, she was puzzled she stayed there before, and it was $70.00 after 7 pm. She ran in to ask about this. When he sees her, he changes the excuse for the reason for the higher price and tells her "We change the price daily depending on the weather." Mind you, it's not even like this dump is by a beach, or anywhere vacation like, to satisfy this reason.. It's actually in the bowels of Route 9, with nothing but highway and buildings for miles around. Should have left then, but no we venture in. For that kind of money, I do not expect to smell a nasty lingering dirty odor, and everything to appear to have a layer of dingy-ness on it. On top of that, within 10 minutes we hear what sounds like a mouse in the bathroom. That's it, we are leaving! Back at the front desk, after a half hour wait, I tell the front desk person we don't want this room and explain why. The minute I said "mouse" he started sharply scolding me as if I just said a bad world or was lying about it..saying something along the lines of "If you don't want the room I will refund the money, but don't say there are mice! We clean this place very well there are no mice in the rooms!" ***Funny the complaint below this on The TRIP ADVISER SITE done in March, that person saw three mice, and the front end man joked about it. So refund transaction done, although I feel off about this, I figure this is the end of it. NOPE......fast forward to Monday (Day of this report)...I notice that my account is unusually low, so I sign onto my banking to look at activity to see why. On August 5th, it showed this place withdrew 121.75, then credited it back...then withdrew it again! Following my banks advice, I opt to settle this with them. A nice lady answers the phone and tells me the manager will be in after 10:30 am. After 10:30 I call back and she apologizes and tells me that he stepped out and won't be back til after 3 pm. After 3 pm, I called back, this time and a man answered, and tells me the manager is gone for the day and won't be back til tomorrow morning. Now I'm livid, obviously the run around and I proceeded to explain the problem to him, and that I am done with the run around, I need this dealt with now. So he tells me that I "NEED TO" take a copy of my bank statement and bring it to their motel tomorrow morning. Now I'm beyond livid and I told him "No, absolutely not! First off, I work night shifts and I will not inconvenience myself over this any longer by driving far out of the way to your motel just to show you bank statements that you are not entitled to, NOR do you need it in order to be able to figure out that your motel took this money from me, and if I don't get this money back into my account today I WILL be filing a dispute with my bank AND making some noise about this. (It's none of their business what my bank statements say either, they don't need to see a list of what I spend money on.) After that, this man puts me on hold for a long time, probably hoping I will eventually hang up. Then when it's obvious I won't hang up, the phone mysteriously disconnects, he's probably hoping I wouldn't call back. Well he got what he hoped for. Instead of calling these creeps back, I called my bank to explain the situation and they agreed the whole thing is shady and dirty dealing. I will be meeting with the reps at my branch tomorrow, they were made aware that I will be coming. So instead of just cooperating with me, putting the refund back in, they decided this route; which now is, MY bank will take my money back from them anyways, and on top of it, they get to have a HONEST and TRUTHFUL review about them everywhere I can find one, including one to the better business bureau. I also wonder who I can contact to look into and investigate this whole changing prices play that they do. I stayed night 11/10 to 11/11 at room 148, it absolutely had no heat! Terrible, the thermostat didnt work, it had a ac unit which the front desk lady Sally told us should work. I tried it and it stayed at 50 degrees even though it said 80 max. All night freezing. I called front desk to complain Sally said sorry nothing she can do about it... that there is a generator that is centralized and cant be adjusted at 65-68 im like even so thats freezing then she claimed it wasnt... the door to our room never fully closed and it was below 40 degrees at night. I had to cuddle and hug my girlfriend for hours to fall asleep even letting hot water run in shower to heat up room with no help. What a scary and awful experience. With NO help from the motel simply brushing it off. I paid $89.35 and Ive stayed in low budget motels all over the country and this was one of the worst with no heat! Next morning we complained to front desk Harry who simply smirked and said management will call me, he seemed evasive to tell me who management was and claimimg he/she wasnt around till 8 and that I wont get refund because I didnt mention anything last night which I did but was simply ignored... I should have checked the comments before booking online. My son and I were traveling for a vacation in August, 2018. It was late so I booked while traveling. When we got there, the lady gave us a bit of an attitude because she said the online reservations shouldn't happen after midnight or something like that. I said, well I didn't book after midnight and showed her the reservation time. Then she checked us in and gave us a key. The place was disgusting. There were roaches, and my son has a video to prove it. So we slept with the light on. We got up and headed out as soon as the sun came up. My wife and I paid $100 for a Saturday night stay on our way home from Boston. We were unsuspecting, uninformed out-of town guests just looking for a place to crash. Simply put: it was awful. I don't know if I would be happy even if it were $15/night. Let's enumerate the problems: 1. The room reeked. I say B.O.; the wifey claimed to think it smelled like fecal matter. Regardless, the room smelled very "stale". 2. The television didn't work at all. Nothing but a blank screen. 3. The bathroom was 50 years old and looks like it hasn't been cleaned since. The age isn't necessarily what bothered us...it was the fact that it was dirty looking. The toilet looked gross and I couldn't really flush it with my foot. The handle required a bit of force to get the bowl to flush. There was also a duct-taped pipe below the sink. 4. The carpet was "grimy". In fact, it left a nice slick film on the bottoms of our sneakers. When we stepped outside of the room onto concrete it was noticeably slippery/greasy. Disgusting. I wouldn't walk around the room barefoot. 5. There was a small bug in the bed. 6. There was a pubic hair on the curtain. 7. There was rotten/spoiled cream cheese at breakfast. Just don't stay here. Well, this nasty dirty Motel may have done us a favor. We went online (usually I go to a well known site that gives great prices, but just not the name of the hotel until after I have booked... but I have never gone wrong there)... Instead, I found the Monticello which looked just fine on line. About a week in advance we booked for Friday AND Saturday night. Entered our credit card to reserve the room on their online system. All good, right... NO NO NO. Just before we left New Jersey to drive up there for the weekend (we would have arrived about 8 or 9 PM) I called just to confirm that they had a non smoking room. Well, that did not really matter as I was informed that they had gone ahead and reserved us for Friday, but NOT Saturday, and that they would in fact not honor the booking that we reserved with a credit card. The rude person on the phone simply told us that they were too busy on Saturday to honor the internet price on their site... doesn't matter we reserved a week before... Their rule is apparently that they will reserve your room, unless they happen to sell it later for more, then they will keep the part of your reservation they want and cancel the rest. Total idiocy. Of course I then went back to the known web site, booked a hotel on line (I did not know the name) and got a GREAT National chain, first rate hotel, about a mile away. There are plenty of great Motels in this neighborhood, so I am not promoting any one of them but I DEFINATELY highly recommend staying far away from this flea bag. Just out of interest when we were there, we drove by to see who screwed us... what a nasty dirty looking place this is in the back of a parking lot behind strip malls... bad bad bad bad. Not sure how i lucked out to find this Hotel, but it was cheap for one night. I didnt expect it to be that bad. It smelled like cigarettes. The barhroom ceiling paint chipping and falling on me when i was taking a shower. I booked two nights on January 24, 25, 2013 in this monticello motel in Framingham while visiting some friends in Framingham, I wish I had read other customers' reviews here about their serious rat/mice issues in their rooms before I actually slept with a mouse for a night here !!!!! I booked two nights for 127.34 USD, after waking up to urinate in the middle of the first night, I saw a mouse in the room, as I walked a few steps, the mouse ran and hid underneath the bed, Oh my god, I was terrified, no wonder the place smells so bad when I walked in the first place, it was the Rats. So I was terrified and called the front desk asking for a refund and I couldn't wait to move out to the next door best western hotel, the employee laughed and said ''so? a little mouse isn't going to hurt you, wait there, i will call somebody over to kill it for you''. is he joking? what kind of service and attitude is this? and he was laughing? what kind of business is this? it was snowing outside, super cold, i was terrified, packed my things and waited outside, no one came by, 15 minutes passed by, i thought to myself, what is going on?, why on earth do i have to put up with this nonsense, i paid for a room, it has mice, here i am standing outside the door freezing my entire body off in the snow with my luggage and waiting for some guy to come over with a mouse trap to kill it so i could move back in and sleep again? what is going on??? It turns out that MICE AND RATS are very common in their hotel rooms, in their office, and many other customer also had mice in their rooms according to the employee and my talk with other customers in person. !!!! Disgusting !!! so i called him, he told me to wait, someobody would come over, it was already 15 minutes ago, so i told him to forget about sending anybody over, are you kidding me? i went to the office myself and asked for a refund, he laughed and said no, he didnt have the power to do that, he gave me another hotel room key and told me to check it out myself if there is a rat, if there is, he would send somebody over to use the mousetrap to kill it for me, what a joke? is this real?????? i said '' are you kidding me,?'' i am a customer who paid money for a clean room without mouse, you told me i had no choice but to live in another room without knowing if there could be more mice, but if there are, which probably would be, and I would have to check out the room myself, then give you a call again in the middle of the night again and you would send someone to use mouse trap to kill them for me so i could sleep in that same room again before another mouse gets in from the dirty rooms you are providing? he then said '' dont be scared of a mice, it is very commonly seen here, just like now, we killed some mice in other customers' rooms, even our office has mouse in the storage room because the weather is cold out here, what is this nonsense? so i asked him to call the manager, he said '' i can't, because this problem happens all the time and he's tired of dealing with it, that's why we have a paper here at the front desk saying no refund, if i called him, i am afraid i would get fired, so no, i am not going to call him for you and I am not going to give you his phone number, dont be scared of a mice, go back to your room and someone will go over to kill it for you''. so he called the maintenance guy and he said he was eating at a restaurant so give him about an hour before he comes to my room with a mouse trap to kill it for me, dont be scared, we also have mice and rats in our office, what is this nonsense? why do i have to put up with this nonsense? what a joke!!!!, so for 45 minutes i was there standing in the freezing cold snowing winter arguing with this crook employee. so i called 911 and the police told me to call the health department of the town to have that place shut down due to danger to human health for exposure to rats. so the employee panicked and called the manager, but he wouldn't let me speak to him directly, they spoke for 2 minutes and he hung up, i asked what they discussed and why you didnt allow me to talk to him, he said he was sleeping, and said the same thing i have told you, no refund, then this crook employee told me i was starting to irritate him and told me to go back to my room, at that time, i was speechless and couldn't believe what i was hearing, what kind of business is it? this place really needs to be shut down, it is so dirty with mice in the rooms and these employee and manager are rude crooks who only hold on to your money and dont really give a damn about you. this is the kind of service i was getting. it is so ridiculous....... so i left the place in a state of shock, while i exit the lobby this crook employee laughed and used a sarcastic tone, thank you for coming by, have a nice evening and i hope you enjoyed your stay with us, and said with a smirk and sarcastic tone, i just simply left in a state of disbelief. Worst motel ever. Don't waste your money. Was only in room a minute before I had to leave it was so nasty. Manager said they couldn't give us are money back, left motel without refund. Staff is disrespectful and do not care about guests. Not a safe place for families. Rooms are falling apart, stuffs broken and smells awful. Don't even waste your time looking at this place. My boyfriend and I went out for our anniversary this past weekend. We went to the imax theater next door to this motel and when we got out we found it would not be safe for us to take the 40 minute drive home due to the terrible road conditions during the snow storm. We decided to stay here instead of going to a further hotel. We were welcomed nicely and went to our room, which was requested nonsmoking. When we got there the room smelt musty and of cigarettes and there were cigarette burns in the blankets. Disugsting but not worth the far trip back to the office in the snow. About 40 minutes go by and I see something run across the floor and hide under the blanket on the floor. I freaked out and said to my boyfriend theres a mouse theres a mouse! He told me i was seeing things until it decided to come out and go back under. While we were both freaking out what decides to come into our bed? Another mouse. We frantically packed our things and ran to the office. I went in nicely and requested a refund and was refused because you can only receive one within the first fifteen minutes after checking in. I apologized by saying I'm sorry the mouse did not feel comfortable enough to come into our bed that soon. All he said was he could give one of his rooms without mice. We were on the second floor and they were there I don't think so. for the past two days I have been on and off the phone with the owner who is requesting proof. My proof? I was not going to go catch the mouse with my hands. My proof is my boyfriend and I risked our lives driving home in the blizzard. It normally takes 45 minutes but due to the terrible conditions it took us two and a half hours. I told the owner I would be reporting him to the board of health and he told me go ahead I deal with them all the time. Clearly he does not care about his guests or what anyone thinks of the hotel.
