I looked around my neighbourhood to find a place nearby since it looked like my regular store had shut down. I couldn't find *anything* nearby but Frame123 wasn't too far out and looked near where my previous store was. I texted the shop owner and while it took a few days to get an appointment set up, it was entirely reasonable and within the same week. I headed on down at the appointed time and imagine my surprise when I found that this new shop was located in the exact same spot as the previous shop I used to go to! When I walked in, I recognized the owner as the same guy (and he asked me if I'd been there before as well). Apparently this new shop is the same guy, same stock, everything as before, except new name! I was so happy because I've loved all his previous work before and the prices are good. I spent some time with the owner, working through different mat and frame options for the two pieces I brought in and between his opinion and my tastes, we got both of them worked out pretty quick. I'm still waiting to pick them up (but it's only been a week and well within the estimate I was given) but I trust that they'll look amazing. I have had several pieces framed over the years. Most recently, I had a photo from a NYT article framed alongside the headline. The recipient LOVED the finished product. And it was reasonably priced given that it was custom framed. I returned recently to get a couple of custom mats for some off-the-shelf frames that I had bought at Target. The owner passed no judgment on the Target frames, just offered his opinion on the best mats for my watercolors. He's going to do the installation as well. Such a lovely person. I need to get all my framing done in the next few years because I fear that he may retire in the near future!! PS: street parking is actually quite easy in front of his store!

We redid my picture three times to change margins and the frame joining (a bit misaligned, minor gaps only I would notice, etc) and they were SUPER nice about it. Didn't charge me a dime for my edits and really promised that they wanted me to leave happy. Eventually, I did! Love the final product. It took a little time but we got there and the group was very knowledgeable. We did a super custom job (see photo) and it turned out amazing. Now my article will be well preserved and look good on the wall.
