Berley did an amazing job! He really knows his stuff and suggested a better placement than we originally had in mind.

I moved to a new house that had a very different amount and distribution of usable wall surfaces to hang art and framed photos. Berley Farber reviewed the house and pictures to be hung and came up with a plan for me to review. He used his creative talent to design a layout for the art and photos that was very different than what I imagined. The end result was better than I could have designed and implemented had I hung the art and photos by myself. Berley has a great aesthetic sense and is a pleasure to work with. read more

After months of my art just sitting around, I finally reached out to Farber Art to set up an appointment. I am so glad that I went with this business. Bonus point: Michael arrived at my home and took off his shoes. He helped me with placement of my items and even assured me of why/how the artwork would remain secure on the walls. He was extremely tidy and clean. After 2 hours, everything was up, balanced, and looked amazing. I cannot even describe how thrilled I am with his quality of work. I hope to obtain other pieces in the future and will definitely contact this company again for assistance. 5 solid stars and prices were reasonable. read more

With an eclectic collection of art to hang, and a Victorian home, we very much needed the assistance Berley and Michael provide. There was good give and take between them and us regarding art placement, and we're very happy with the results. read more

Michael has a strong architectural design eye and surpassed all expectations in crafting the vision for my home. I requested Michael to install a variety of art pieces - 12 movie props and 7 oil paintings - in various spaces around my home - living room, long hallway, dining room, and kitchen. Michael gave thoughtful suggestions on placement, spacing, lighting, flow, etc. and was professional throughout the entire process. He made sure each of my pieces were very securely attached and arranged on the wall. This was paramount for me because a lot of the items were bulky heavy items (like the movie prop sword in the image), and he handled them with the utmost care. Overall, I highly recommend Michael - he is an extremely talented architect, designer, and all around professional/cool person. read more

I was recommended to Farber Art Services from my wonderful framer Robb Domingues, Frames on Third who I trust. Berley contacted me right away, understood the kind of art I have (eclectic and some very heavy) and the mixed concrete and sheet rock building I live in. I was concerned that they couldn't handle the 30+ art pieces I had in the time allotted but Michael and Berley were such pros that they got the heavy pieces up together and then Michael just did a great job, hanging the art, discussing location and sometimes helping to rearrange an awkward piece. In my 50+ years of remodeling and moving I've run into many contractors workers who thought they knew it all and were not respectful. As a woman who knows what she wants doing a project with contractors you had to fight your way through sours you on the product. Michael and Berley are thorough professionals and they don't come with an attitude even though they are truly experts at their craft and really know high art. I had so much fun working with them that I was sorry when they left. It makes looking at all my art so much more enjoyable knowing how collaborative and fun the project was. I highly recommend them on any size project of any complexity and quality. read more

I reached out to Berley Farber with a tricky request--hanging a very large mirror in a 1936 building. Even though this wasn't part of Farber Art Services' primary focus, Berley didn't brush me off. Instead, he took the time to listen, think through the situation, and offer possible solutions. That level of generosity and professionalism is rare, and I truly appreciated it. His insight gave me practical options and peace of mind. If this is how he treats someone outside his core service area, I can only imagine the excellence he brings to his specialty. Highly recommended. read more

We've worked with Berley five times over the past decade, and he's consistently been an absolute pro. He's punctual, professional, kind, and incredibly thoughtful in his approach. If you're simply looking for someone to hang your art with precision and care, Berley is fantastic--everything is secure, level, and exactly where it should be. But where Berley really shines is when you need more than just a pair of steady hands. If you've got a collection of art that needs thoughtful placement--balancing flow, space, and overall vibe--Berley has an incredible eye. He brings an artist's sensibility to the process, and his aesthetic intuition is spot on. He's not just hanging pictures; he's curating your space. Highly recommend Berley for anyone who wants their home to feel cohesive, intentional, and beautiful. An absolute aesthete and a pleasure to work with every time. read more

This is the second time we worked with Berley and it doesn't get any better. He is a true professional and can just about anything, anywhere with precision. We had small and large pieces, multiple mirrors and tv's. He did the job efficiently and in less time than anticipated. He is extremely positive, has art sense (as a bonus you get a designers eye and opinion), and gets the job done right!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

Berley Farber is an extraordinary art installer and a true artist in his own right. Over the years, Berley has installed several cherished pieces for me--treasures I've brought home from my travels, including a canvas I purchased in Berlin (which he stretched beautifully) and a delicate set of ceramic plates from Turkey that now hang perfectly thanks to his meticulous care. What sets Berley apart is not just his technical precision and decades of experience, but his deep connection to art, beauty, and space. He doesn't simply hang objects on walls--he transforms rooms into sanctuaries, bringing a sense of order, intention, and emotional resonance. Berley also rehangs collections of art, turning visual clutter into something meaningful--a story told through placement, balance, and beauty. If you're looking for someone who treats your pieces with reverence and your space with vision, Berley is a rare and gifted talent. I can't recommend him highly enough. read more

Farber Art Services has been a terrific experience for me. They answered my contact immediately and accomodated my schedule which I really appreciated. Michael arrived and and went over all of the art to be hung in our home, reviewed the locations and gave us options for placement, height given the local, etc. His eye was extremely artistic and his recommendations were spot on. I have to say they are top notch, very professional and lovely to work with. I recommend them highly. read more

This is the 2nd time I hired Berley to hang art in the past 12 years. This latest time was due to moving to a new county. He hung 21 pieces of art and was very considerate and respectful of my time since I had a limited amount of time available. He provided a curated experience, meaning we discussed where and how to place each piece. He is professional and a very nice person. I plan to hire him again very soon for a new piece I just secured. I highly recommend Farber Art Services. read more

Berley was recommended by Walter Adams Framing. He also worked with the previous owners Nicholas and Susan. Very happy with the professional work of Michael and Kellie who hung a couple of large, heavy pieces. They arrived on time and identified the best hardware to use to hang these pieces. They also recommended placement for my studio apartment and having the art on the wall really dresses up the walls. Fabulous. read more

There are no words for how fabulous Berley Farber is at what he does. This is our fourth time using Farber Art Services, and every time I feel more and more glad that we did. We just moved and remodeled and many of our photos have been in storage for a while. Not only does Berley have a phenomenal eye for composing gallery walls, he took the extra step to make sure they were dusted off and looking gorgeous before he hung them. Each photo, in and of itself, was meaningful, but the way he composed them together into a gallery wall was a work of art. I can't recommend Farber Art Services highly enough. And you know who's REALLY happy? My husband!!!! Because it got done and I didn't have to remind him a million times. Now that's priceless! read more

This is our second time using Berley Art Services! Berley is amazing! He remade three HUGE pieces of folk art--each one is 32" x 72". These pieces were handmade by Chris Roberts Antieau 40 years ago. They were a flimsy and needed to be reinforced. Berley added low glare acrylic to the fronts and plywood to the backs. He did a fabulous job!! Then he delivered these giant pieces and hung them beautifully on wall. They are so amazing--and so is Berley!! If you have an art installation, don't hesitate, call Berley! We give Berley our highest recommendation!! read more

Berley absolutely knows this craft. I had a bunch of nice artwork, but there were challenges with the frames and some of the walls. He got to work and had seven pieces hung in about an hour. Then he went to work on a photo collage wall with a laser and a level. He placed thirty 8x10 frames in almost no time and to the exact design I had in mind. The only thing that surpasses his knowledge and expertise is his professionalism. read more

I've had Barley and Michael install various sizes of art pieces - a family photo gallery in upstairs hallway, two large abstract encaustic paintings in living room and various lithographs throughout our home. First of all I would not hire anyone else to do this but Farber Art Services. They are very professional, efficient, very knowledgeable of art and architecture and fun to work with! Michael even took down a huge piece (replaced it with another) wrapped it up and stored it in our garage! They are rock stars! read more

Berley Farber is an art-placement sage who will come to your home, take a quick gander, and then proceed to hang all of your treasures exactly where they belong and needed to be. Then, as one strolls from room to room, basking in the results, one wonders: why didn't I think of this and, why didn't I call him sooner? I understand, also, that he is a Wordle Whiz. pw read more

Berley did an amazing job curating and organizing our art. We downsized our home but not the number of pieces and he helped us focus on the art that we loved the most. He curated a gallery wall, something we'd never thought we'd do and now love it! He also used his experience as a framer to quickly "reframe" a canvas that had bee painted on both sides and framed on the image we liked the least. The overall experience and interaction with Berley was great and we highly recommend him! read more

Berley is a gem. He is so easy to work with and has incredible suggestions that have you looking at your art and your home with such new perspective. We had just moved to Sonoma and had quite a few pieces that needed to be hung. After searching around, we decided to use Farber Art Services and could not be more thrilled with the results. We had a general idea of where we wanted certain pieces hung, but asked Berley for his opinion when he arrived. He has such an amazing eye, placing things in just the right spot - often unexpected- and in eclectic groupings. Our art looks better than it ever has! The only caution I have is - now that my hubby has seen how fabulous the art looks on the walls, he's eager to go out and purchase several more pieces. Berley has rekindled a very expensive habit!! See you back in a few months Berley. read more

Everything I needed: on time, professional, expert hanging. Well worth every penny. I'd hire again.

After screening multiple other professional art hangers I chose Farber as they were very responsive with their communication, and Michael and Kelly were super conscientious with a challenging install. I have worked with Berley three times on art placement and installation and cannot recommend him enough. Most recently he helped me sort out my very random assortment of art in a new rental place that was not really feeling like home yet, but it's now in a much better place thanks to him. He is a rare mix of incredibly talented and fun to work with, and makes very good suggestions (rather than dictating :) read more

So pleased with the outcome of Berley's work and highly recommend! I had ambitions of hanging 9 (irregularly-shaped) frames above a spiral staircase, but I hadn't measured correctly, and the drop-off made it pretty much impossible to get a ladder to the right place. Berley to the rescue! He proposed a new layout that fit (and complements) the space and figured out how to safely hang them. He has a great eye and knows the optimal heights/spacing at which to hang frames; he even adapted to the weird hardware the frames came with and replaced it with something better. He was a pleasure to work with, and let me tell you - I couldn't have approximated anything close to this on my own!! read more

The guys are Farber are so nice, Burley in particular. Since I just had this one little piece to hang, he talked me through how to do it myself. He was completely hilarious and helped me do it pretty decently. He spent a lot of time doing this. It speaks very well for him as a person and for Farber the company as well. Thanks my friend! read more

Michael was great! Very efficient and expert installation. Responded to my inquiry promptly as well, with same day service.

Michael provides great insight not only on where to hang artwork but also interpreting how the artwork relates to the room in determining where is best to place the artwork. He is professional and someone I would highly recommend! read more

Truly great service - even when managing a problem. I had them come hang a very tricky piece: 6' x 6' linocut framed with a very shallow frame and no back structure, weighing more than 50 lb because of the giant piece of plexiglass. The piece looked good on the wall, but was so heavy that it bent itself away from the cleat. The plexi had popped out of the frame. Berley came back to make it right, free of charge. He repaired the frame and installed two new cleats, and now it looks great. COVID precautions were excellent (and I am a physician), and he is totally trustworthy. I left the windows and doors open, met him outside, and left the house while he worked (fully masked with a good snug mask). I have a security camera and checked in: mask worn the whole time. read more

Berley responded quickly to my quote request and gave me a good rate for the service compared to others I researched in the area. Mitch, who performed the installation, was timely, providing me with an eta 30 mins prior. He was very professional and completed the job quickly and to my liking. Would highly recommend this company. The whole process was very efficient with no issues. Thank you both! read more

Michael came to hang artwork in my home 3 years ago and I was extremely impressed then, and even though I didn't think it could be possible, he has gotten better since then. Michael and John were both expertly attentive to my vision and aesthetic, and worked with me to solve nearly impossible problems (e.g., making a non-rectangular canvas look like it had 4 90-degree angles). I was BLOWN AWAY by their expertise, attention to detail, and ability to execute. Flawless! read more

Good people, great work and fair prices. These guys have hung work in both of my restaurants. Solid.

I found Farber Art Services online and reached out to ask about hanging art and wall decor throughout our newly renovated condo. We had a few pieces that were challenging (a propeller, and a few other bulky pieces) so we were looking for someone to help us find the right placement and also figure out how to hang them. Berley was incredibly responsive and came over for an initial consult to check out all of the pieces so he could make sure to come back with the right supplies. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Before Berley came over, we laid out all of our pieces and he did a walk through with us first to help us decide where everything should go. He has an incredibly artistic eye - we ended up changing the locations of a number of pieces based on Berley's advice and we LOVE where everything ended up. He is also very passionate about what he does which comes through in his work and approach. Couldn't imagine the place any other way now! Would definitely use their services again in the future. read more
