The short and sweet of it all: First, you're going to love your "new" home! Second, Loczi will know what you want, maybe even better than you do. Third, you're going to have lots of fun, and you'll be sad when Loczi leaves. Fourth, your contractor and subcontractors will make you happy, or Loczi will help you find ones that will. Fifth, Loczi provides value well beyond traditional interior design. Sixth, when they are done your biggest challenge will be deciding which room is your favorite. We kid you not! Some details: Loczi performed a substantial interior design project for us. We knew we needed a good design team, but we'd never worked with one before. We had many trepidations as we evaluated a wide range of designers and their websites. We started our Loczi interaction with a long discussion with Mike. He listened intently to our perspectives and needs. In our first example of Loczi's great intuition, Mike proposed a business approach that fit us perfectly. Subsequently, Mike and Diana went through each room with us and discussed our thoughts on the scope of work. We were impressed not only their creativity but also by their careful note taking. We signed a contract right away. Ironically as it would turn out, Mike proposed one idea that I really didn't like. But the more I thought about his idea, the more I realized it really fit our needs. In our "new house" designed by Loczi, almost every room feels like our favorite room, but Mike's idea made our dining room not only my most favorite, but also our most effective use of space. Diana is an amazing designer. Mike, Catrina and Paige were behind the scenes reviewing the project and helping her whenever she needed them. Its one example of how Loczi's business processes are as advanced as their designs. They have a continuous improvement and customer satisfaction mindset that is refreshing in today's high stress world. If there's a problem, they get it fixed quickly. Loczi's designs are exemplary. When they tell you they can do some amazing things with paint, believe it. They have a "secret" technique for revealing a client's color preferences (sry I won't tell). We love how our interior and exterior are painted! They even came up with a perspective design in our stairwell that transformed our open plan stairwell into a special space. Collaborating with Loczi is easy, fun, and effective. They'll make Pinterest easy for you. Their mood boards are beautiful and they provide great choices. Our interactions with Diana were everything we hoped. Diana can whip out an elevation or drawing so you can visualize the design. If something didn't feel right or didn't fit our budget, alternatives came quickly and addressed our concerns. And if we ever wanted to understand the "why" of the design, Diana explained it so we understood and would be confident in our choice. One particular challenge we had was our primary bathroom. Originally built in 1985 and partially remodeled in 2009 without a designer, it was a mishmash of materials that didn't fit together very well. However, we didn't want to incur the expense of redoing the stone shower and separate tile bathtub. Loczi went to work and made the disparate materials look like they were intentional and the room was converted from a disappointment to fun loving space! And, Loczi can do much more. Diana designed a crucial piece of furniture for us that is beautiful and comfortable. When we couldn't find a rug to fit a special design need, Diana also designed the rug that did. Diana even prepared a guide for us so that if we needed to do something ourselves, we would know what colors and textures would work best in each room. We've used it for house plants and pots, pillows and throws, accessories, etc. Loczi knows some great subcontractors. Their custom window covering contractor was excellent. We not only have beautiful window coverings in our bedroom, but we no longer have light leaking in and waking us up. Specialty services like hanging art, reupholstering furniture, and window films become fun projects instead of time-consuming diversions. Their window film expert convinced us not to use his window film but instead use a sheer window covering provided by another contractor. And if you find your own subcontractor, don't be surprised to find out that they know who Loczi is and that they want to make both you and Loczi happy. Your general contractor also will see the value to their business in making Loczi happy. We had a painter who wasn't performing. Loczi found us another painter who performed better and cost less, and also smoothed the way with the general contractor. A remodel can be a tough project to undertake. When you use Loczi, you know you have a team of people that always has your back and your best interests in mind. read more

We used Loczi for 3 renovations of our home and each one came out really great! From the design consultation / ideation phases to the material selection and liaising that Catrina did with the general contractors she secured for us, we were really pleased with the final outcome. It can be scary to try and navigate the home renovation process given the high costs in San Francisco and horror stories you hear about projects that go sideways, but we experienced nothing but great service and a spectacular outcome. Even during COVID, when one of our renovations was at its peak, the work didn't stop, all of the workers were able to stay safe / healthy and the project was on time with the highest quality you can get. LOCZI Design did an amazing job on our kitchen remodel, totally transforming the original 1941 space beyond our wildest expectations. We loved working with Catrina. She's incredibly detailed, thoughtful, collaborative and a powerhouse when it comes to solving problems and pushing projects forward -- in other words, a total pro. Her design expertise was invaluable. She helped steer us away from ideas we would have regretted later ("explosions of white") and got us thinking about the space differently, in relation to the flow with other rooms. The pictures speak for themselves and a more than a year later, we're still stoked with the results. Well before the kitchen demo when our contractor came on the scene, we had a solid, well-thought out plan with all the details (drawings, measurements, materials, etc.) meticulously organized in one handy binder. Loczidesign turned our vintage 1970's home into what can only be described as a modern retro-masterpiece. Over the course of our two year Marin project, where we experienced difficult permitting, bad contractors and flaky vendors, Paige, Catrina, and the entire Loczi team were consistently the Professionals in the room, who righted the ship again and again. We started the project with a designer who was referred to us by our architect, and quickly came to realize that they were merely parroting our own ideas back to us. We needed something better, and we asked Loczi to come up with a design for our great room, so we could see if a change was warranted. My god! The designs that came from Loczi were innovative, gorgeous, and absolutely blew away the competition. We fired designer No. 1 on the spot, and never looked back. We had a great experience working with Paige and her team to decorate and furnish our modern 4 bedroom condo in SF. We spoke to a lot of firms before starting but it was a no brainer to work with Paige after understanding her creative process and looking at the amazing designs she had done in the past. We loved how the team took inspiration from some elements in our house we already loved - favorite art or sculpture from our travels, favorite colors, etc. and then created a totally unique but cohesive design across the house for each room that really felt like ours. The process was very collaborative and overall, we're really happy with how everything came out. Paige always had great recommendations of unique artists and brands that we might like (she still passes these along from time to time even though the project wrapped up months ago) - she's a great curator of art, culture and design and that added a lot of value to the process. Her attention to detail is superb and she was able to tie everything together (including unique paint and wallpaper combinations, which look amazing) in a way that we would have never been able to come close to doing on our own. Her team was also particularly helpful at providing multiple options for major furniture items at different price points so that we could pick and choose where to concentrate our budget (and not feel like we had to spend more than we wanted to.) They were super organized and really helped us maximize our budget at all stages. Paige, Catrina and Jennifer did an awesome job designing two bathrooms for us, and shepherding the projects through. One of the bathrooms is an odd shape, and had some limitations (a slanted ceiling, a post that couldn't be removed, etc). We were impressed with what they came up with in spite of these challenges. The finished bathrooms both look great. We especially love the tile in each. The team was very easy to work with. Would love for them to tackle our whole house!!! read more

We are extremely happy with the job Paige did on our interior design. We started the process knowing that we wanted a major overall of our home's look and feel, but not knowing what kind of design we wanted. Paige created collages of design elements, textures, and colors to help us zero in on a look. It was a great discovery process -- we learned a lot about design and about our own tastes. The whole process was fun and educational. The design we ended up with is our own, but we couldn't have arrived there without Paige's guidance. Paige is amazing with colors. She custom-mixed colors for our living room, kitchen, hallway, and home office. Paige and her assistants do an outstanding job finding one-of-a-kind pieces. Our design juxtaposes modern and rustic elements. They found unique pieces from our local Antique Mart for the rustic pieces, including some great vintage light fixtures and a gnarled wooden coffee table. Going even further, when we couldn't find a kitchen table we liked, Paige arranged to have one built from an antique base and a custom-welded frame! The results are fantastic -- literally everyone comes into our home loves the design. So I recommend Paige and LocziDesign completely. I had definite ideas about what I wanted. Paige and Catrina and the rest of the team were always respectful of my thoughts/desires/ideas and found ways to improve on the good ones ... and explain gracefully why certain things might be better done differently. It was a true collaboration. Perhaps the ultimate compliment is that the house absolutely reads and feels like me and my aesthetic, but is so much better than anything I ever could have done myself. I hired LocziDesign (Paige + crew) to transfer my apartment where I use to "eat + sleep" into a home where I could entertain guests, find tranquility and perhaps love (see below review. I am the boyfriend, now fiancé in question). LocziDesign exceeded all expectations. Paige somehow manages to balance fierce creativity and artistic vision with consummate professionalism and flawless project management. Simply put: SHE IS GIFTED. She managed to transform my entire place in 6-7 weeks (everything from painting the rooms and buying new furniture to finding the perfect little containers to organize my socks). Paige is different.. She is resourceful, clever and willing to work. I mean really WORK. Paige worked with a friend of mine. Designed and delivered an eclectic environment that was superb.. Wonderful colors, great artistry, and imagination. i was in love with my boyfriend's apartment before i fell in love with him, thanks to paige loczi. i had seen her magical re-design via photos, in which she took his average bachelor pad and turned it into a beautifully designed home. inspired by the colors of his hanging artwork, she painted his walls blue grays and warm hues of cappuccino and chocolate. the ceiling in the hallway is striped, for goodness sakes! his (now our) bedroom is straight out of a magazine, a perfect composition in its colors, furniture and sheer quirkiness. the bathroom features hanging 1930's locker metal storage bins and an old ladder. where does she find everything? i want to shop with her. apparently paige designed, painted, bought furniture for, and redid the apartment in seven weeks! whaaa? not only is she pure talent, but she's speedy too. and did i mention the details? paige never ceases to amaze me. she intuitively navigates her canvas as an artist and designer, and she is an effervescent ball of joy to boot! after we started dating, paige confided that she designed my boyfriend's apartment to help him attract his partner-in-crime. all i can say is yay for me! read more

My husband and I hired Loczi Design to completely redecorate our tract-style house. We didn't have the budget or desire to live through a remodel but still wanted to entirely transform the look and feel of our home. And we wanted to accomplish this task within two months!
