I can't tell you how much I appreciate everyone at the Design Milagros team. They are all so professional, personable and really, REALLY good at what they do! From the very first meet up with Lorraine's very efficient team, I was so impressed! I have project managed many jobs of my own properties. However, having to sell the home of someone very close to me who had passed was overwhelming. Seeing them work together the way they did and the follow up emails I received soon after, I quickly decided to just let them do what they do best and step aside! Even when some of the choices weren't what I might choose, when it all was completed in about a month.....wow! They are miracle workers!!!! My friend would have been amazed and proud of the way they made his beloved home ready for sale. So grateful for Design Milagros read more

Absolutely horrible. They stole 5 glass customized steps from my luxury home listing (each worth more than $1500) and then didn't even have the decency to apologize. read more

When we were in the process of selling my mother's home in San Francisco, our realtor suggested that we use Design Milagros as a company who could could meet all of our home preparation needs in one company. I have to say that Lorraine and her team met all of our expectations and more. My mother's home is old and although mom tried to keep up with maintenance over the years as she aged things got out of hand for her. In addition, we had just rented the home a year earlier and tenant complained often about things breaking down and needing fixing. Design Milagros assessed all of the needs for this home, provided a plan to fix issues as well as provided complete professional staging of the home along with maintenance while the home was being prepared for market by our realtor. Sure, you say, any company could do the staging. However, the home needed much more than staging. It needed numerous repairs and design to bring it up to todays standards as many San Francisco homes require. DM has their own dedicated general contractor who is skilled in all types of major and minor construction. As many who have tried to get work done on their homes in SF, it is sometimes next to impossible to get work done in a timely manner. With a dedicated team, DM was able to keep the project on schedule. What was most impressive about DM and their staff and, especially, owner Lorraine was their help on an issue we did not expect. My mother's HOA created all sorts of issues for us by causing problems with the city. DM helped us work through these issues with the city to solve them and help get these issues off the books which would have caused problems later on with the sale. In addition, we also had issues with one of the other trustees on my mother's estate which caused delays and, eventually, a hold on the sale of the home. Regardless, Lorraine and her team rolled with the punches, were genuinely compassionate and understanding with our situation and stuck with us throughout the process. There are no words I can say to express my gratitude for all the support Design Milagros gave to us. They will always occupy a high place with me as one of the most professional, ethical and respected companies I have ever worked with. I highly recommend them for your home selling needs. read more

I recently sold my house in San Francisco, Design Milagros was hired to paint and deep clean the house to get it ready for sale. They came highly recommended by my agents from Compass Realty (that is a whole other story) The paint job was done but was way over priced, the deep cleaning was a disaster I paid over $1800 just for the deep cleaning. When I did the walk through I found too many things to mention, spider webs in the recessed lighting, the kitchen stove was not cleaned, these are just a few of the things that were not done. I could have cleaned it better then they did. I also hired them to stage my house but it didn't come to that! Thank goodness. I would not recommend them to do anything. Did I mention they are way over PRICED. read more

Design Milagros remodeled all three of our bathrooms. We had an outstanding experience and are thrilled with the results. We now have three bathrooms that look like a showroom but are functional for a family of five. It has changed the entire feel of the house. Their team was wonderful to work with - everyone was friendly, prompt and professional, and incorporated our tastes into their clever designs and ideas. I highly recommend Design Milagros! read more

If wish top dollar for your property, hire Design Milagros. After inspecting your property, they develop a line item budget of what they think necessary. You are invited to delete any element you think unnecessary. Once on the job, their subcontractors work seamlessly; there was not a single day of downtime and their estimate pricing held was identical to the final price. Most importantly, whenever I had a question, the project manager returned my call within the hour. Lorraine and her team are absolutely first rate as is their color selection, finish work and staging. I recommend them highly. read more

As a Realtor, it is very important that I recommend quality service providers to my clients who are selling their homes. My reputation depends upon it. I would recommend Design Milagros to anyone thinking of selling their home without hesitation. We used Design Milagros to prepare and stage a client's 3 bedroom condo. They were responsible for refinishing the wood floors, painting the interior, touching up the exterior paint, deep cleaning, power washing and staging. We gave them an impossibly short time-frame, as we were in a big time crunch to get this property to the market. They accepted our challenge and performed beautifully. Lorraine and Tory are such positive people. Their can-do attitude resonates through their work. Everything turned out amazingly beautiful. The floors looked better than they did when they were installed thanks to Lorraine's recommendation to use a matte finish, the painting was completed with great care and precision, the staging was elegant, very high-end and fit the property and the neighborhood completely. It was a dream working with the Design Milagros team. They were respectful, extremely responsive, they took excellent care of the property, and performed on time and on budget. We even threw them a couple of curveballs with some additional work requests mid-project, but they gracefully handled them all. It was SO nice to offload everything to their team. It saved me hours, days, and probably a week full of work for myself, and the property looked amazing. So amazing that we sold it for a fantastic price after just one Open House! We will definitely use them for our future listings! read more

Lorraine personally came to our home and gave us very valuable constructive criticism of the home. Staging is pricey, but a $5,000 investment with DM's fabulous staging will become an added $100,000.00 to the profit from your home's sale as was our case. We had only a couple days to stage our 3000+ sq ft home before it went on the market, but in that time Lorraine was able to transform the home we wanted to sell into our dream home. Although she suggested that we repaint our walls, we decided not to and Lorraine was able to select the perfect furniture to compliment each room's original wall colors. Everything from paintings, to mirrors, to flowers and books were well-selected to enhance each room and bring out the sense of space and comfort. If we happen to sell another home, we will most definitely come back to Design Milagros to handle our staging. To sum it up in three words: quick, efficient, impressive. read more

Unbelievable work. Eva and her team helped transform our new apartment into everything we imagined. Her ideas and vision were great and it was amazing to see our condo transform in front of our eyes! I would highly suggest Design Milagros to anyone looking for an interior designer. read more

I don't have anything but good things to say about Lorraine and her team. They went from contract signature to full speed in 48 hours, and had completely transformed and staged our 1200 sq ft house in less than 7 days. She has a great eye for style (we constantly joked that very fancy people had moved into our house), and her team executed flawlessly. I would work again with this team in an instant, without hesitation and without even considering an alternative. read more

Our company, MAAN Global Corporation, has a property listed on the market. Design Milagros gave us a great and professional service. They help us design a staging set for the needs of our potential customers. They are also the experts of understanding the architectural styles and design trends. I highly recommend their services! When we are on the market, they give us a very reasonable price! read more

Sub-par service which costs too much. This team works with agents and they have the clients by the throat. 1. Painting for 1 wall cost $550 - I am not sure why this cost so much. 2. They brought in low quality carpets, which were soiled 3. The description of the service said they would bring luxurious bath towels and finishes to create a spa like bath. Actually, they brought in target towels that showed age in 2 weeks. Interactions with the owner were very difficult. She was mostly insulting of our house and the choices we had made and said that our house was not competitive in the market. She basically saw our house and had a $$ target in mind and did not base it on what we really needed. Ultimately, we sold the house no thanks to her. Stressful experience dealing with this team. read more

Wow, just read the review giving Lorraine and her team 1 star, and had to respond. I interviewed several teams to stage my 3500 sq foot Victorian home in Pacific Heights, which we had lived in for almost 20 years. I can't say enough how grateful I am to have chosen them. We were not only staging, but remodeling the kitchen at the same time. Lorraine was not only able to work with me and my aesthetic, but also able to help me manage the contractors. I wish I had used her team for the remodeling. My house looked so beautiful when she was done, that I frankly was thinking of not selling. She and her team are professional, prompt, and creative. She was worth EVERY penny, we sold our house within a week for over asking, had the perfect buyers!!! To put a final point on it, we are using Design Milagros for ALL the work we are doing on our new condo. read more

I highly recommend using Design Milagros for your home staging needs. I would rate my experience with them six stars if I could! Lorraine, and Hannah and the rest of the team were truly exceptional in all ways. First off -- TASTE: They have fabulous taste, and it is not just one cookie cutter brand name style. The Design Milagros team gets to know you and your home, and comes up with an intelligent design strategy that FITS. I interviewed three stagers and I can tell you that the other two seemed to decorate their houses all the same way, over and over again. It all looked like the Horschow catalog to me. Lorraine and Hannah and the team totally TOOK IN and absorbed our turn of the century classic Victorian, and then staged it in a way that was both respectful of the home's history, and yet gestured a nod to the more modern younger buyer of today. It turns out that this is not so easy a task, but they hit the mark big time. Everyone who toured the house commented on how beautiful it looked. Prior to choosing Milagros, I dutifully read all of their reviews. I would like to be the first to point out that the people who work for Design Milagros are AMAZING, across the board. Each one of them is more charming, more polite and more responsible than the next. I cannot remember working with a company filled with so many competent, smart, talented, well-mannered individuals. And, they are all so gorgeous! Can I say that? Seriously cute and attractive people, all of them. The whole experience restored my faith in companies. There is such incompetence and a lack of accountability out there these days. If you choose Design Milagros, you will get THE BEST design team with THE BEST work ethic. They care! Scope: We had the entire 5,000 square feet of the house staged, as well as the garden, patios terraces and decks. It was fabulous. From beginning to end -- The partial demo, the painting, the floors, the garden and then the ultimate staging, everything was done professionally. We even had them hire a florist to deck the house out in sumptuous spring flowers -- for each Open House. They didn't just hire their regular florist -- No, Lorraine actually put the job out to bid and got proposals. This is the sort of thing that takes time, and yet this is what Design Milagros does to make your house look perfect! Cost is expensive, but I must tell you that every dollar spent is worth it. We just closed Escrow last week and without a doubt, the investment we made in staging the house came back to us easily in the sale price. And then, we got back at least three times over that investment in the ultimate selling cost of the house! This is an investment worth making, even if your budget will only accommodate partial or limited staging. Do it. You won't regret it. Finally, let me say that Design Milagros put in 110% on this job. They worked harder and smarter and more professionally than most companies do these days. I am truly grateful for all that they did for us. Do yourselves a favor -- Choose Milagros for your home staging. They will not disappoint, and they will go the extra miles to make your home shine up against other comps. in your neighborhood. THANK YOU DESIGN MILAGROS TEAM! It was a pleasure and an honor to work with you. read more

Lorraine and her team did a wonderful job for my Condo. I visited 3 different staging companies with my Realtor in April and chose Design Milagros. Staging is the second most important item re marketing your home for sale. ( The first is your agent ! ) We knew there would be a wait, luckily Lorraine fit us in within 2 weeks. The staging was exactly as I would envision, classic, modern, quality and comfortable. The photos for MLS came out perfect ! The whole process was very professional. The furniture and the flowers were maintained to stay fresh for 2 months during the sale and escrow. They left the Condo in perfect condition when they moved out. I highly recommend them. read more

We cannot thank Eva and her team at Design Milagros enough for staging our San Francisco home. From the start they had a vision for our contemporary home and they carried through with all details to stage it excellently. We highly recommend Design Milagros. The proof is that we received a great number of offers AND all of them were significantly over the asking price. We have no doubt in our minds that the exceptional staging helped to achieve this result. read more

I used Design Milagros for color consulting for the exterior of my house. They did a beautiful job of recommending great colors, and the follow-through was fantastic. They worked with our painters and checked in on the progress throughout the painting process. I got several references and estimates from several color consultants before choosing Design Milagros. They were more affordable and more approachable (and I'm sure easier to work with) than the others we considered. Lorraine and Tory were a pleasure to work with. They're creative designers and they have the tools that allowed me to see what my house would look like with different color schemes. I am so happy with their exterior color consulting, that I'm using them to recommend colors for the entire interior of the house. I couldn't be happier with the experience. read more

Eva and her team with Design Milagros did an excellent job staging my condo for sale - I recommend them highly. My unit sold in one week over asking. Lorraine, Eva and the entire team at Design Milagros were easy, effective and fun to deal with. They did a fabulous job of taking our challenging floor plan and working their magic to transform it into something that would appeal to prospective buyers. To sell at the fullest, one needs staging and to stage the best, one needs Design Milagros. read more

We recently sold our large historic home in the Castro and used Design Milagros to stage it. Lorraine was incredibly easy to work with, efficient, professional and most importantly had a great sense of what was needed to transform our 4800 square foot house into an amazing showcase home. She was flexible about altering color themes in a few of the rooms we wanted to avoid painting, and for those that we did paint, her color choices were exactly what the house needed. Lorraine and her team were instrumental in a rapid and successful sale of our home. read more

Working with Eva and the team at Design Milagros was a real lesson for me, and I will never return to her for business. Over a year ago I engaged Milagros to work on a remodel for a bathroom. They gave me a 2-3mos timeline, it wound up taking 5. Everyone expects things will take longer than predicted, fine. My issue was their insistence on using extremely expensive hardware for everything, despite my repeated request to be more cost-conscious in the work. Not only that, but after the work finished there were quality issues--paint not done professionally, an entire can of paint tipped over on the closet floor and they thought they were going to leave it that way. The bathroom vanity was "custom" which was unnecessary, but worse it was badly done! Whoever installed the handles on the doors didn't use a leveler so they were all at an angle. Now a year later, I'm dealing with their half-finished work. The light fixture was badly installed (it fell off the ceiling and was hanging by a ground wire for a time!), and one of those very expensive and entirely impractical fixtures, so now it has become a giant pain to even change a light bulb. They seem to do great rush work for staging if you read the other reviews, but I would advise anyone looking for professional contractor or design work to avoid these guys. read more

We worked through our agent and they highly recommended Design Milagros for the staging of our condo. They did a fabulous job. Complete "wow" factor the moment you see the place both in person and in our marketing photos. I couldn't believe the transformation! Our house was on the market for less than a week and we accepted an offer significantly above asking price. The DM team was professional and courteous, with an efficient move in and out with a very thorough clean-up (just as we had left it for them) once we were near the final days of closing on escrow. Worth every single dollar in staging and the BEST investment we made, along with picking our listing agent and using her recommendation of Design Milagros. Additionally, they were most accommodating to our schedule as everything moved so quickly. read more

We were very pleased with the work of Design Milagros, and are convinced it helped our home sell fast and for more than asking price. Lorraine came to see our home and assess how it should be staged, they worked on a very tight timeline, and it looked beautiful. Eva was a pleasure to work with, and helped us to put a few final touches to the back yard landscaping when we decided it needed some sprucing up. Our home received 10 offers and sold for $130k over asking price. The cost of having our home staged definitely paid off! Thanks to Design Milagros for a a great experience. read more

Design Milagros helped us sell our condo within 6 hours of our first open house, for well over our asking price. We enjoyed working with Lorraine and Becky. They were professional, confident, and also accommodating of our feedback throughout the process. We loved our condo, so it was a hard process to let go and have someone else transform the space. However, the Design Milagros team did an amazing job. Upon seeing the finished product, my jaw dropped. Everything looked so beautiful! It was perfect. We also appreciated that they did all of this on a tight timeline. I highly recommend them. read more

We could not have been happier with Design Milagros. Lorraine and Eva were thorough, professional and always responsive to our questions. We met with Lorraine only once, but we immediately felt confident in her. We live out of state so we turned everything over to her. She had her crew paint the entire house, inside and out, replace light fixtures, redo the hard wood floors, repair windows, landscape the back yard and install flooring where needed. Her estimate was very detailed so we could pick and choose what we wanted. Her price to paint the outside of the house was about 30% less than we had paid several years ago, even with her service fee added. (Long story, but we had the absolute wrong color on it so it needed to be painted again.) We left it all in her hands - paint colors, fixtures, everything. She did a fabulous job - absolutely transformed the house - and our home sold in 2 weeks for over our asking price. We absolutely recommend her services. read more
