Went there to frame a large photo. It was almost $2k for a simple frame. Bubbling started showing up pretty quickly. They told me to bring it back. They said they will try to fix. But the bubbling occurred again quickly after. I asked for a refund and offered for them to take back the frame. They refused any type of solution. In my opinion they are overpriced. I have since gone to Framebridge with a lot of projects and had nothing but excellent results for better prices. I would have appreciated any type of resolution but she simply said no returns no refunds nothing. Really disappointed to have thrown $2k away when she was selling me so hard on their "'master framer". If I had known this result could be an option I of course would have never gone forward. read more

I was very disappointed with the service and final products. We had multiple paintings and 2 large tapestries framed here. Melody was very helpful in picking out the frames during our initial visit. The products took many weeks longer than the timeframe that we were told. Melody would tell us it would be x number of days and when I would call, it still was not ready. For one of the paintings, the placement was crooked so we had to send it back Then, there was tape showing so we had to send it back again and still they did not fix it properly. We also noticed some damage to our painting so did not want to keep sending it back. Instead of acknowledging the issue, Melody said "we are the best in town" repeatedly. For our 2 large tapestries, they ran out of the frame we had originally decided and we had to switch to another frame few weeks after placing our order which was disappointing. We were also very clear that the frames had to be the same size since they would be hung side by side vertically but the sizes were different. They also attached the wire to the back in the wrong direction so we had to re do it on our own. Overall with the amount we paid, I would have expected better quality, communication and service. I regret bringing our pieces here. read more

We just picked up our custom frame and we were very pleased with not only the product, but the service. Going in we were unsure what exactly what we wanted, but I made sure to bring photos of the room that the picture would be hanging in. After that, they did the rest as far as helping with the color of frame, designing of the double matting, and the non glare glass was a no brainer since the room gets a lot of sunlight. I came across Framestore while researching replacement vendors for custom framing. I've always done business with Aaron Brothers and their store in my location closed. While doing my research, I came across a 50% off coupon for Framestore. I decided to use it at the Thousand Oaks CA location on 3/16/19. I was very happy with the service and the finished product. Unfortunately, the pricing isn't transparent and thus I will not continue to do business with Framestore. While I was under the assumption that the 50% off coupon would be applied to my purchase, I looked at the invoice and didn't see it listed. When I asked George (the service rep) he replied that the 50% off is already included in the "Every Day Low Price". There's no reference to the 50% off coupon anywhere on the custom framing invoice. Lack of cost transparency causes me to pause in my consideration and recommendation of Framestore for future business. read more

I leave only one star because as least the owner and staff were very pleasant while they were lying and cheating their potential customer. I purchased a $28 Groupon that had printed right on it: "for $100 in services." I should have known there'd be a problem when upon stating I was using a Groupon, he said, "Refunds are available." I was then told that "we only see the Groupon as a discount coupon," and that "the description is very confusing" it's "really just a 50% off." While he was clearly knowledgeable about his business, he proceeded to inflate the cost of a frame, acid free paper, museum mount for ONE approx. 14" x 18" to FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS (!!!) and then informed me that the Groupon would get me to $120! Which is what it would cost at any reputable framing service. I'm not an idiot, I've had numerous works of art framed over the years and this is a complete joke. If they don't want to honor the Groupon then opt out with corporate but stop lying to and insulting your potential customers. At least clarify that the Groupon covers the labor services only and not materials. I have reported the business to Groupon. It's unfortunate as they actually seem to know what they're doing, I'll give them that, it's too bad they chose to be dishonest. read more
