absolutely shocking. The con was so embarrassing. They lied to me about being busy while taking two months to supposedly need to finish me picture framing. They had me pay cash up front before any work got started, THEN when I went back NO PICTURE. The we boobs said they lost it. It was a priceless blueprint and THEY LOST IT. To add insults to injury, their suggestion was to call their insurance company, which they were never provided. Shameful arrogance, what seems like theft more than irresponsibility. They treat every project I bring with so much care, whether I'm having mattes cut for my existing handmade frames, or framing up art from scratch. They have an artists eye for what frames and mattes will work best for a project, and as has been said elsewhere here, they do their absolute best to stay within your budget. I brought in two asian prints of a seashell and some bamboo to be framed. I had purchased a living social and wanted to frame them. I had a great experience at Fastframe Thousand Oak. The guy behind the desk was so friendly. He has a really good eye and was able to help me find a frame, and some matting. He suggested that I had a third layer with just a hint of color to match my paintings to make them really pop. When I got the finished results I was so pleased, they really do bring out the colors of my little prints. They are now vibrant and vivid. Well what can I say. As nice as the two gentlemen Bill and Bill appear to be, you would be wise to take your business elsewhere. I brought in 2 limited run photo prints I purchased about 13 weeks ago. One a gift, the other for myself. I wanted to frame them right away for preservation so I went in, having no experience getting things framed. They helped me pick a complimentary frame, gave me mounting and glass options and said it was going to take 2 weeks to complete, as one of the frames was a custom order. I brought in one small 5"x7" and one larger panoramic photo, roughly 24"x9". I convinced myself the eye-watering quote they gave me was worth the investment given the quick turnaround time and expertise of professionals. Now, take away the quick turnaround time and add in the avoidance of phone calls and continued delays, and it is just insulting. Had to call 3 times, then just show up one day to get any movement or info on it. Not even started after 6 weeks. Four weeks later, I called twice, no answer. Showed up that same day unannounced and they were magically "working" on it when I walked in-- come back in 15 minutes. Waited 45 min to find out they only had one done. I would have much preferred they told me upfront the actual time it might take to be finished, or that they were backlogged, so that I could have made the decision to go with these guys or take my business elsewhere. As of now, I have only ONE of the prints framed, received at the 10 week mark. On top of that, the print isn't even mounted straight; it's slightly tilted to one side (because they clearly rushed it) and it bugs me every time I look at it. I want it fixed but I can't stand to bring it back because of how frustrating this place is. They still haven't called to tell me the other is finished (or not) at week 13. Stay far away. read more

All I can say is FABULOUS! I actually stumbled onto this place for a work project and was so impressed, ended up taking some canvas' in that I wanted to use for a gallery wall framed. The two Bills that work there are so nice and really do a wonderful job. They really took time with me and made recommendations. They helped me to figure out placement on the wall, gave me paper for templates to use and all of the mounting materials needed. Stay clear of this frame store! As a new customer, I brought in several pieces of art to be framed just when the pandemic hit. Bill, the owner helped us pick out frames and talked for hours with us before settling on pricing and frame choices. We were told it would be about six weeks with the pandemic and process. We knew it would take a while however after six months we still did not hear from them on our job. After many phone calls, emails, texts and visits to the store with empty promises and no progress made on the artwork we originally brought in we decided to pull the artwork and go somewhere else. So many excuses, the frames we picked out were never delivered, the work was never done and the artwork had been altered without request. These guys make promises they can't keep, they do work that is unauthorized and even put my frame up in their display window for over one year while I continued to call and email and receive no response. Do not use these guys unless you plan on giving your artwork away or leaving it there in the end I waited over two years for my artwork and it was still never done. Here is the before and after photo of the painting I brought for frame repair. DISHONEST. Gave high quote for job. When questioned about it said he would match price from any other reputable framer. When I brought in quote from another framer (who he knew) he back peddled and refused to match price. This guy lies and changes stories on the fly. If you know nothing about framing just know he will cheat you. If you know a little about framing you won't do business with this guy.
