tl;dr - cozy place and delicious pizza! Service: 5/5 - the wait staff was quick to greet my party and I upon arrival. For an early dinner, we were able to pick wherever we wanted to sit. Although we sat inside, I did notice that they had blankets available for customers if the weather was cold. Our waitress was very tentative. She made frequent visits to our table to make sure that we were taken care of. I feel very satisfied with her service. Pozzi Pizza: 4/5- Oh my my! Fresh and hot out of the oven! I was drooling from the aroma of our delivered pizza! I especially loved how our pizza was served on pizza stand. Very nice appearance! How was the pizza? Very cheesy. Great idea to have potato slices as toppings. I definitely enjoyed it. I just wish it was a bit more saucier. My only complaint are the restrooms. The pizza is really good. The best thing is that you can split one up and try different flavors. There was live music that wasn't too loud or invasive, and the service was good. Most of the seating is outside, so be prepared. They have fans to keep it cool, but that can also make the food cool. I want to start by saying the pizza is good. Solid 3.5 star pizza. Not fantastic, but definitely good. It is a nice upgrade from a chain quick-service pizza place if you want to-go pizza. I will eat here again, but will try different ordering methods next time, because I personally did not have a good first experience with online ordering at Fralo's. More of a 1 star experience, both with the website and in person customer service. The online ordering process is terrible. The website is bulky and customizing a pizza feels intuitive at first, but it gets very wonky when you try to use the option to do half the pizza one style and half the another style. Ultimately my order was wrong (whether that was the website or the chef's mess up, who knows). One frustrating thing about the website is that it doesn't give you an approximate wait time; you have to place you order before it tells you a wait time, which in my case was 60 minutes. Would have been nice to know ahead of time with a wait that length, but ok sure, willing to wait (not that I had a choice since they already took my $60 for two pizzas). The absolute most frustrating part about my experience was the customer service. I arrived to pick up the pizzas 60 minutes later, as my confirmation email stated. The girl at the front counter said they didn't have my order and said that if I didn't get a confirmation email, my order didn't process. I showed her my conformation email, at which point she continuously tried to gaslight me into believing that it was not a confirmation email, despite having a title of "thank you for your order!" with details about the order and a confirmation number. After going back and forth with her for several minutes while her manager stood there watching and doing nothing to assist, another girl came over and confirmed that it was indeed a confirmation email and proceeded to find my order in about 3 seconds. No one apologized at all and they kind of made a point to quickly get me out the door. Last major frustration was the actual pizza. It was good, yes, but it was COLD. During my conversation with the girl who initially could not find my order, I asked how long it would take to get new pizzas made. At this point I had been waiting over an hour. She said the wait is about 15 minutes, at which point I asked why my confirmation email said 60 minutes. This is the first time the hovering manager said a word, in which she replied "we say that just in case we need longer." ........Ok? So this means my pizza took 15 minutes to make, then it sat out on the counter (not in a warmer) for 45 minutes until my pickup time, and another 10 minutes while a teenager proceeded to treat me like I was an idiot who didn't actually place an order. I live three minutes away and the pizza was room temp at best, so it was definitely not the commute that left me with cold pizza. Again, the pizza is good and I would give Fralo's another try. But next time I'll eat there in person, or if ordering to-go, I'll either call on the phone to order or even drive there to order and just wait until it's ready. read more

I've been going here for at least 25+ years. Back in the day, Fralos was the best around. Now it's just a sad shell of days gone. The pizza quality is just awful. We decided after a year to stop back in one more time and try again. We ordered and a pizza to go and our order was simple, pepperoni, pineapple and pepperoncini (was told No pepperoncini anymore). Upon opening the box shortly after leaving to eat, my words were, NEVER EVER AGAIN! Poorly and not completely cut. Abstract triangles with signs of no cares given. Soaking wet center and possibly 5 slices of pineapple. Almost just threw it away, but we cut the slices to try and make something good of of this, what Fralos has become is just sad! Fralo's is one of those places that I look forward to once the Spring and Summer nights come rolling along. Don't get me wrong, I'm still coming any month of the year for this damn pizza. My cravings won't let me go too long without it. Anyways... sitting outside during the Texas heat with a hot, cheesy, gourmet pizza and an ice cold beer makes me smile. When I think of eating Fralo's Pizza on their outside patio with live music it just screams a true hangout. Don't get me wrong Fralo's does have an indoor area but I'm just not one to sit inside when I can be eating with a view of the hill country. What makes this place great is the BYOB aspect they have. You can literally bring in your favorite specialty beers and wine and enjoy it with their amazing pizza. There is a small corking fee for wine but I can't recall the actual amount, positive it was around $8 though. If you forget to bring your adult beverages Fralo's has you covered with a wide variety of beers and wine. Now let us talk about their pizza, the main attraction of the show. This is some authentic brick oven pizza and one of my absolute favorite spots. It is worth the drive and you'll be glad you came to this side of town. The Grant's Pear is such a unique pizza and this was the first place were I truly enjoyed pear on my pizza. The sweetness of the pear really gives the pizza a fun twist and anything with extra olive oil makes me happy. Of course I have tried their Pepperoni, boring I know, and it is really awesome. I love adding garlic, vinegar, and olive oil to it to give it an extra kick. Mint's are my best friend whenever I eat garlic, it is just too hard to not eat the kiss of death for vampires. Another favorite of mine is the Nutty chicken without the Nutty for me. That's what happens when your body doesn't let you eat certain nuts. I love this white chicken pizza and the spinach is actually baked within the pizza! I go crazy when pizza places serve spinach on top and it is not baked in. It has a nice pesto zest to it and you can always ask for any of the topping to not be included to build around your needs. During the weekends they feature a lot of live acts so you're basically getting dinner and entertainment which I love. My wife and I know pizza. Seriously. We've had THE BEST pizzas in Italy, Chicago, and NYC. All of the negative, whiny reviews below complain about "thin crust" pie costing $26. What these pizza novices don't know is that all pizza has a thin crust. Even Chicago pizza has a relatively thin crust, but is deep with toppings. The only places that offer a "thick crust" are bogus joints like Pizza Hut. Fralo's offers a traditional, Italian or NYC-style pie with a crispy, almost hard, slightly charred (not burnt) crust. You can hold it in one hand, fold it, and it doesn't droop. Perfect! The toppings are ultra fresh, go together well, and are delicious. Service is reasonably fast and the staff are courteous and attentive. We've been to Fralo's twice: once for take-out, then again in restaurant. Indoor seating is limited, so either arrive early or plan to sit outside. This is a casual place with a high-end pie, nearly as good as that offered at Dough Pizzeria. Fralo's offers live music, which we unfortunately have missed out on twice. So, ignore the negative reviews and get your butt over to Fralo's. Relax outside and taste a truly good pizza. You'll never go back to that nasty chain pizza place again. read more

I went here a few weeks ago with my family. I honestly hadn't been in a few years. This is great during the COVID pandemic because a majority of their seating is outdoors. We ordered a couple of pizza's and also the cheese bites. All their food is so good. The pizza and appetizer were really amazing. The food is a little pricey but it is worth it. It will also take a little while for your pizza to come out, but again it's because it is made from scratch. We had the sampler pizza take-and-bake with traditional, nutty chicken, Mediterranean, and meat lovers. 17 min in the oven at 425 and it was ready to go. So delicious! I also bought a produce bag and some eggs while we were there as well. Everyone was very nice and there was a sign about staying 6 feet away from one another. We ordered the sampler pizza with 4 of their specialty recipes on a 14" pie. The only drawback was the service was woefully slow. Drinks took forever to be delivered. Finally the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown was lifted a bit and it was great to have a pizza and beer outside of the home. Went inside and a server said he would come outside. Got a Vanilla Porter with a 15-inch game pizza. This pizza hits the spot. When we got there the pizzas looked ok and when we got home we found that they forgot two (not-visible) additives on one pizza and put rosemary on our pepperoni pizza instead of on the potato pizza which made little to no sense. I was looking for some pizza on a tuesday night and came across this place. It was fairly empty yet service was still slow and it took over 40 minutes to receive our pizza. We had the option to sit inside or outside and choose inside due to the live music band being overly loud. However, the ambience outside was nice, with string lights and a very Texas feel. The parking situation is a little ratchet and in the rocks but it's tolerable. Overall I wasn't impressed by anything until I received the pizza. As someone who is a harsh critique and loves pizza very dearly, I can say that this pizza is the best that I have had in South Texas. The crust really got me, it was the perfect amount of crispy to fluffy ratio and baked just the right amount. We ordered a 12 inch Margherita pizza and had a slice left at the end.
