Served us bruschetta on a plate with two huge chips in it, every STANDARD topping for a pizza costs $3 EACH, it's even more for the "premium" toppings, there was plenty of seating inside but they didn't even offer to sit us inside while the heavy wind was blowing everyone's napkins off the tables and while we were waiting for the check they just forgot about us and I had to go inside to remind them, would never come back here ever again in my life even if I was paid to do it and given a free meal, 1000% not worth it at all. read more

Came on a Saturday night after wanting to try something new. I took a table outside and was able to listen to some live music. Seems like they have live music on the weekends, you can check their website gif info. When I first walked up hostess was busy on her phone but I got her attention and was quickly seated. I ordered a Corona (all their beer is draft) and a margherita pizza (basically cheese pizza). I decided on the smaller 12-inch which left me with a few slices to take home. Okay, so I am a crazy, insane, pizza fanatic. That being said, this has got to be in my top 3 best pizza's ever eaten in my life!!! I wish I could remember the name of this pizza but it has either a white sauce or olive oil, I don't remember, caramelized onions, bacon, chicken, and lots of love!!! If someone were to ever use bait to kidnap me, it would be with pizza. THIS pizza! I wouldn't be able to resist! I would totally go see what's in the back of the creepy old van. I could eat this every day. Perfect crust, perfect flavors, super hot and fresh. Pricey but worth every cent. The service was quick and friendly, we ate outside because it was a really pretty day and they have a great view. I drove 25 minutes here from Boerne with my wife, friend, and baby and could not have been more disappointed! There were only 3 tables with people at them so it wasn't busy at all. There were 2 servers and we waited 20 minutes at our table and never got greeted or got menus. It was like we were completely invisible! We got up and left after talking to the manager. What a disaster this place is . I sat at the bar that is up to you neck and uncomfortable and I am 6'2. I placed and order at 5:55 pm. There were 2 tables in the place. 6 people Working behind the counter all Bsing the whole time. They were tasting some kind of buffalo pizza or something. Both tables received their food . No issues . A gentlemen walks in about 10 minutes later and orders 3 pizzas gets his pizzas and leaves . Now I am questioning what's going on. The 2 servers who were playing in their laptop and phone for a good portion of my time there kept checking on me to see if I was ok . Finally i see the oven guy pull the tickets from the rail . Now they are looking at me . So I know something is up I finally asked the server for the pizza to go . Still nothing said. Not even an attempt to rush the pizza or tell me they screwed up. I finally said if you didn't start the pizza I don't want it . They said ok . I had 2 beers and they charged me 11.04 miller light draughts . The server said she gave me a 15% discount on the beer. I don't feel that was enough for the inconvenience. They should have been free or at least 1 of them No managerial presence in the place. I know it's Monday but if your staff or children can run the place do yourself a favor and close . Enjoy time with the family . You are making plenary of money at 25 $ average for a pie . Aww memories- we shared birthdays and graduations and all sorts of celebrations- back in 2004 - 2005. It has been years since we had been and as we were searching for a place to eat dinner we reminisced about this place so we stopped by today. Pizza was disappointing. Overall salty and the dough was tough- nowhere near what I remember it being or do I now know what amazing pizza tastes like? Have you changed? Or have I? My family and I live close by and we've been here multiple times, we do take out often, or dine in with the kids. Easily one of our favorite easiest restaurant experience with young kids. The kids love the mozzarella sticks every time, and me and my wife split a Caesar salad which is delicious. Probably the best pizza in the area, You can tell it's made fresh with homemade sauces and dough, and after a few slices I don't get that gross heavy feeling as you do with chain restaurants. We live like literally across the road from this place, and yet it took us 3 years to try them...which is crazy since we loooove pizza! I'm so glad we finally gave them a chance though! Their pizza is amazing!!! We just called them directly to order and swung by on our way home to pick up - easy peasy. We chose Grant's Pear 2.0 and the B.O.M...caramelized onions and pears, earthy arugula, creamy Gorgonzola...can't go wrong with either of these. We loved that the crust is not too thin, not too thick...with just the right dough to toppings ratio, and not greasy at all, which is my biggest pet peeve. They went perfectly with a cool glass of Pinot Grigio on our back patio! Fralo's also has an alternate dough for people with gluten allergy, which is very thoughtful. The different types and represent very unique assortments of flavors and ingredients that won't be found in other places in San Antonio. We're currently sitting at Bar 301 and learned that their kitchen is down. They offered to order us food from Fralo's next door and bring it to us on the patio. Our food arrived and Megan unboxed it for us - absolutely delicious. It's my birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better, casual drinks and pupus kine of night. Right off boerne stage rd exit sit Fralos. An inviting establishment pushing out pizzas and pastas that are amazing. Have been going back to fralos for sometime. I mean it's just pizza right? Wrong. Came here for the first time in a long time (haven't been in over 5 years) and was excited for the famous thick mozzarella sticks from a while back (I believe they were pretzel crusted? They were thick, huge logs almost - a couple pictures posted in older reviews!), but overall I was extremely disappointed in the food. It seems it has changed a lot since I last remember - and overall it just wasn't worth the price point. Let me start by saying that the service was phenomenal and the experience was still wonderful (the live music, the outdoor seating, etc.). I enjoyed my time here, but was just disappointed in the food. We started by ordered the mozzarella sticks, which are now just like any other mozzarella sticks - thin, almost look like they're from a frozen box, and nothing special about them. First disappointment. I quickly came on here to look at old pics to make sure I wasn't crazy about what I had remembered the mozzarella sticks to be like! They had been my favorite thing and the main reason I loved Fralo's. For the pizzas we ordered the Margherita and the Nutty Chicken, both of which came out very crispy. Now I enjoy a crispy crust here and there, but this crust was almost difficult to bite into and chew because of how hard it was. My plate was a messy pile of crusts and pizza pieces after I was finished because it was difficult to eat the entire piece. As for flavor, the pizzas were mediocre. The Margherita wasn't traditional (heavy on traditional sauce and diced tomatoes). It was better than the Nutty Chicken one, though, which looked yummy but lacked a ton of flavor for being something with pesto sauce. It was pretty bland. Needed a lot of parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes to add flavor. I'm all for supporting local and I love the vibes Fralo's has with the live music and rustic seating, but unfortunately the food did not make me want to return. And for the price point you can get similar pizzas from California Pizza Kitchen or Mellow Mushroom that taste much better. Again, still had an overall lovely experience. Food was delicious- get takeout! Service was unbelievably terrible. Waiting 20 minutes to even be greeted. By the time server finally came we were ready to order our entire meal. She said she would only get our drink order and asked what we wanted to drink, we ordered a glass of wine and a beer. She said she didn't know what they have and she "was just going to bring us water". When she finally came back we asked about the wine & beer and we ordered one appetizer and one pizza. We waited 30 minutes for any of those items to arrive. The app, drinks, and pizza all arrived at the same time. The whole night it was as if she was avoiding all of her tables. She was inside most of the night and when she would finally come out people would try to wave her down. Most of the time she would just ignore whoever was trying to get her attention. It wasn't even that busy. Once we finished eating we waved her down to ask for the check, we then had to wait over 10 minutes to get closed out. If I was only reviewing the food - 5stars!
