I had a beautiful Father's Day meal delivered yesterday from Fraiche Catering. I've been to an event catered by Fraiche and was so impressed with the food. When I found out they were doing family meals during Covid shelter in place, I thought I'd definitely give them a try. What better time than to order a meal to celebrate Father's Day. The online order process was really simple and I received an immediate confirmation email with a delivery window. I called a few days later in the evening to convey a food allergy, and they called me back the following morning to discuss and alleviate my concerns. The dinner was delivered in sealed boxes. Upon opening, I found the meals packed and displayed beautifully amongst a dried flower arrangement and menus of our meal. Each dish was labeled with easy to follow heating/handling instructions. Dishes that needed heating were packed in heatable containers, so I didn't need to dirty a bunch of dishes during this process, yay for less cleanup! We had a couple steaks in our box and I was a little concerned I wouldn't heat them properly for how my hubby and I prefer different steak levels of "done-ness"but hallelujah they were done perfectly after following Fraiche instructions!!! His med-rare and mine medium. -Shrimp cocktail app-perfect! Happy tails were removed! -Arugula Corn Salad- refreshing, sweet and amazing flavors. Bacon was a nice touch. -Lobster roll- succulent lobster, herb butter yumminess. I wish I would've toasted the roll before loading it up. -Sage crusted steaks-perfectly done. Steak sauce provided was also very tasty. -Chipotle roasted potatoes-tangy and delicious -Summer squash with Parmesan- squash was great. We're not huge zucchini fans, so there was more squash eaten than zucchini. -peach blueberry cobbler- so adorable in their tiny pot and delicious. I worked with Fraiche Catering for my niece & nephew's B'nei Mitzvah and they did an amazing job! I first worked with Yvonne who created custom menus to go with the Good Place party theme (she was so detailed!) and then I worked with Mia. Both were really responsive & very helpful! Fast forward to day of, the team onsite was awesome! Chris was the lead event coordinator and he was so detailed. He made sure everything was setup beautifully and checked in throughout the night. Lastly the food was delicious! We had three passed hors d'oeuvres and then three stations for dinner. For hors d'oeuvres the short rib croquettes were a favorite of mine but at least a dozen guests sought me out to rave about the shrimp. Fraiche catered our wedding in August at the Conservatory of Flowers and everything they did was perfect! We worked with Christi and she was wonderful. She handled so much - not just food and beverages, but also tables and linens for two separate spaces, layout, timelines, wedding favors, etc. Planning went very smoothly and communication was timely. The food was amazing. We had a family-style dinner service and we heard from all of our guests that the food was a highlight. Christi and the Fraiche team also executed our beverage service exactly the way we wanted it, with specialty cocktails and a full bar. Instead of a large wedding cake we had a small cake and a few desserts, which were all a huge hit. Service staff were all extremely friendly and professional. I was struggling to get my work group's holiday event organized after traveling. To make things more complicated, we were in the middle of a last minute venue change. I wasn't sure what we could swing at that point, but shortly after I reached out to Fraiche, I received a phone call. This was the only call out of at least five different companies I had contacted. That would be the first brownie point to be followed by many others. After speaking with the event manager, we agreed on a classy and healthy menu. I booked them to cater my husband's birthday party for 30 people. I chose a menu and offered to pay by credit card. They told me they'd send me a contract by email and I could pay then. No email arrived so the next week I started calling - NO return call after 2 calls/messages. The next day I started emailing them. At 5:24 p.m. I got a return email telling me they had booked another bigger event and wouldn't be able to do my party! They referred me to 2 other caterers but didn't provide contact information (and both those caterers were booked already) or check their availability. They acted like it was NO BIG DEAL!!!! We used Fraiche catering for our small (40 person) wedding in October 2015. Overall, we were very pleased with the food and service that Fraiche provided. We worked most closely with Danielle, and found her to be very responsive by phone/email. The food tasting was a total blast--it was awesome to be wined and dined as they helped us select our delicious, seasonal menu. Our wedding guests really enjoyed the food, especially the desserts (the crème brûlée puffs were an especially big hit). We did have some oddities with the billing/payments to Fraiche catering. When we first started working with Fraiche they were considered the "in house" caterer for our venue. However, there were some changes during that time which caused Fraiche to bill us directly instead of through our venue. However, we chalk this up to some inefficiencies at the venue rather than issues on Fraiche's end. And, Danielle was very helpful in getting things straightened out. read more
