The Ultimate Surprise: A 40th Birthday Dinner to Remember! I don't even know where to begin -- my 40th birthday dinner was beyond anything I could have imagined. It was a total surprise, flawlessly planned and executed by the incredible team at Bash Please, and filled with exactly 40 of my favorite people. Yes, 40 people for 40 years -- how perfect is that? The setting was stunning. Bash Please somehow captured everything I love and turned it into an effortlessly beautiful, inviting, and joy-filled atmosphere. Every detail -- from the long communal tables to the coastal-inspired décor -- felt personal and thoughtful, like it was made just for me. Because it was. And the food? A crab feed feast that dreams are made of. Piles of fresh, buttery crab, warm sourdough, crisp salads, and all the fixings. The kind of meal that gets messy in the best way -- everyone cracking shells, passing platters, laughing, and making memories. It was communal, it was delicious, and it was so me. Champagne flowed, the conversations never stopped, and I felt completely surrounded by love. I genuinely can't think of a better way to ring in a new decade. Massive thanks to Bash Please for pulling off a night that was perfectly designed and truly unforgettable. I felt celebrated, cherished, and completely surprised -- and that's no easy feat. 10/10. Would turn 40 again. read more

While I am not in the market for a fabulous wedding or corporate event, this company should be recognized for their altruism and positive effect on the future. I mentor a group of 15 high school girls in Stockton, California as a community outreach project of the American Association of University Women. When the women of Bash Please heard about our project they immediately began to support us in many ways. Along with a generous monetary donation they have provided materials for activities as well as assistance in planning activities and our annual retreat. They also provide positive role models for our girls who are finding their way in our world. They model the integrity and honesty for which Bash Please is known. They encourage education to gain skills needed to succeed in the events and entertainment world. Our girls find their work exciting and worthy of emulation. In this way they are helping to build leadership skills in our girls which will ultimately strengthen our community. If ever I need an event of any kind planned I would not hesitate to use Bash Please as they have received worldwide accolades for their creativity and value. read more

The Bash Please team was incredible in helping us plan our recent wedding. Mollie, Sunna, and the team did a flawless job in helping us execute our dream weekend. Our experience from the very first email to the post wedding coordination was SEAMLESS and simply PERFECT. I could not recommend this team more highly. My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Bash Please on our welcoming party and wedding day. During my search for a wedding planner, it was important to me that I find one that vibes well with our personalities. After all, it is one of the most important days of your life- I wanted to enjoy every aspect of it, including the people along for the ride. Mollie and Sunna (and Chloe, Ashley & Meagan) made every aspect of our wedding planning process so smooth from start to finish. All whom we've been in contact with were so upbeat and fun. I had a few calls with other planners during my search and if you prefer to work with ones that have a great sense of humor and mean business, I've found your gals. The BP team is extremely organized and transparent with every detail about our event. We were in constant communication every part of the way. They were always quick to respond, no email or crazy question left unanswered. We were able to refer to a spreadsheet throughout the process to keep track of budget/payments and all other details. We were so impressed with how things were going, we even decided to throw a curveball their way and add in a surprise pregnancy! (Hope some of you have a sense of humor while reading this because this was my own and probably their biggest nightmare). Being nearly a year in of planning and almost two years engaged, we decided to not push our wedding back another year. BP seamlessly managed to help us move our wedding back a few months later from our originally planned date. Though I do not recommend doing what we did, do know if anything comes up- trust that they can handle any bump in the road. My wedding day was so chill and completely stress free... just how I had hoped it'd be- even with a 5 week old newborn. Vendor selections were truly SO amazing. It was a weekend that went above and beyond my expectations. We're glad to be able to look back in the years to come and always remember the amazing weekend these incredible women put together for us!!! Thank you again, Bash Please!! read more

I can count on them to leverage their relationships and networks to always get me the best deals. I can count on them to unlock new, creative ways to solve challenges and bizarre requests. I can count on them to uplevel my vision to create magical experiences for my employees, our clients, and our families. Two years and 20+ events later, I couldn't imagine working with anyone else. Bash Please - Wedding Planning Near Me - San Francisco, California

Very serious warning signal to anyone evaluating Bash Please. In less than 30 days, Mollie and Sunna broke our trust, had a series of objective oversights, and when we tried to approach them with constructive feedback, they took zero accountability. To make things worse, when we decided to part ways, they didn't have the decency to return any portion of our 5-figure retainer after completing 0 of the 65 checklist items listed in their wedding checklist and no date/venue booked. We're now in a position where we'll likely have to push our wedding to next year, which is a stress on both of our families. They took our enjoyment out of the process, which is every couple's nightmare and the complete opposite reason to use a wedding planner. Confusion and frustration started early and led up to our cancellation on the 28th day. After signing the contract, we never had a formal onboarding discussion to talk about venue requirements, process, timeline, budget, etc. There was no cadence on communication or when to expect things, they missed cities and venues we requested, missed requests in emails, gave us false information on venue tour dates, there was a lack of transparency around total site & infrastructure costs in the venue presentation, general reactiveness, and they were very defensive to any kind of feedback, disregarding inaccuracies and confusion we raised, and did nothing to try and resolve the situations. Here are some examples: Example 1: we wanted to tour a venue on a specific weekend we were available. They told us multiple times that we could not go on a weekend or without them. We reached out to the venue directly and were immediately sent a PDF wedding packet that listed multiple weekend tour dates that we were available. We surfaced this to Sunna and Mollie and they disregarded the mix up both over email and on a phone call and never addressed why they gave incorrect information. Whether it was a lie or mistake, not addressing it directly with a reasonable argument broke our trust very early, which could have been easily avoided. Example 2: we provided detailed venue feedback to the first vendor presentation in writing with concrete next steps. 3 weeks after receiving our feedback, they sent the next venue update where only 1 venue was added in a city outside of what we requested, the rest was duplicated from the original venue presentation, 4 cities were missed, no communicated guidance that more were coming, and there was no update on tours that were supposed to happen in 2 days. We also found out that one of the venues they had us visit had very high, required infrastructure costs that weren't reflected in the venue presentation. Their lack of transparency and communication deepened our mistrust. Example 3: we sent Mollie and Sunna a detailed email walking through objective oversights we documented, how it's affected our experience, and asked to jump on a call to talk through fair/reasonable next steps. Instead of what should have been a calm, professional ending, they had an aggressive attitude, and disregarded all of our feedback and concerns. Since we were only 28 days into the contract and hadn't booked a date OR venue with them yet, we asked if they could return a portion of our 5-figure retainer in good faith. We were open to being reasonable and compensating their team fairly, but they completely ignored us and remain unresponsive. My recommendation for prospective clients willing to take the risk is to (1) ask for a longer grace/cancel window in case you have an experience that we had, (2) ask for a fixed fee arrangement to avoid fee creep, (3) keep oversights documented and share documentation with them proactively and (4) if you want a wedding planner that prioritizes your experience and enjoyment of the process, it's best to look elsewhere. read more

From our first contact we knew partnering with Bash Please was the right choice. Sunna, Mollie and their team are attentive, personable, and genuinely cared that our events went off perfectly. There was never a worry or concern as we knew we could trust Bash Please to help concept and create our magical wedding weekend. If there was ever an issue during the weekend we did not hear or know about it, and that was beyond appreciated considering we had over 4+ distinct events over 3 days. Our guests equally enjoyed their experience and consistently said it was the best wedding they ever attended. (Seriously, it has been months since the wedding and we still hear this!) Mollie and Sunna are grade A, top notch folks and I do no think I could say thank you enough to them! If you are looking for the best event planners you do not need to look any further, you found them, Bash Please is the best!!! read more

It's difficult to encapsulate in one review how much love I have for these women and this company. I have been in the creative workspace throughout my entire career and have immense respect for how much effort and planning goes into organizing a well-designed, well-curated event. Bash elevated every element of our wedding weekend, from the early stages of planning to the execution of both our welcome party and wedding day. I knew it would take some very talented, organized women to wipe out all the fear and anxiety I had around not being in control. Mollie and Ashley did just that. Mollie is the most direct, to the point person I have ever worked with, and it was very clear to me from the beginning of working together that she would nail this for us. Her background and experience in the industry are unparalleled and I knew any hiccup encountered would be handled in stride. I was a very lucky bride, no fires looming, no pandemic canceling our event. But I have no doubt that if the universe was not on our side that weekend, Mollie would have handled it perfectly. Mollie and her day of Bash team were like a chic, secret service, perfectly orchestrating the day we had always dreamed of sharing with our friends and family. Ashley pier flawlessly orchestrated all the fun stuff, design. Ashley and I worked together instep, she hit the mark on all design elements from our invites to the overall look and feel of our wedding weekend. This portion of the process meant a lot to me. I wanted everything from the graphics to the table settings to feel on-brand to what I would create in my own home or for my own client. Ashley absolutely crushed it! She somehow managed to wrangle my scattered and diverse vision into something boho, rustic, and at the same time elegant and refined. I could go on forever about all of the beautiful details. I truly consider Ashley, and Mollie friends. If I could work with these brilliant individuals every day, I would. Thank you to the Bash Team for giving us everything we wanted and more. Love, B read more

Sunna and Mollie made our wedding planning experience actually enjoyable! They made the process very seamless, and they make sure to work as collaborative team. Not only was the planning fun and enjoyable, but the execution of the wedding was OUTSTANDING. My husband and I were so pleased with how the decor turned out, the flow of the evening, and had zero concerns on the day of our wedding. We were able to be super present and in the moment, because Mollie and Sunna had everything under control in the background. Thank you Mollie and Sunna for making our day the most special and incredible day, and we will continue to use Bash Please for other events in the future. read more

There is no team I'd rather work with to create a flawlessly executed, beautifully innovative, and thoughtful event than the planners at BP. All of their event designers understand that the customer experience pre-wedding is just as important as their experience on the day itself and they really strive to care for and nurture their couples. They learn their personalities, help refine their vision for the celebration, coordinate hundreds of details and become friends in the process. Guests are wow-ed, the couple is relaxed and vendors are able to do their best work. This is all due to a highly organized team led by Mollie and Sunna who understand all the nuances of how to plan and implement all the back-end logistics that have to come before the pretty. Weddings are once in a lifetime events and this is the team that everyone deserves to have backing them on their special day. read more

We had an awful experience with Bash Please and would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend using them for your wedding based on our horrible experience. We contracted with Bash Please (BP) before the pandemic, and like many other couples, had to postpone our wedding when it hit. At that point we had paid $25,000 in fees to BP so we wanted to continue working with them when group gatherings became safe again. That's when BP changed the terms of our contract to receive final payment 6 months before our new date, when previously it was 30 days. This felt like a suspicious and unprofessional way to handle postponing our wedding. When we picked up a year later, things quickly deteriorated. We felt that BP completely disregarded our budget and repeatedly gave us extremely high estimates despite their proposal to us stating that they would "provide the best options for our budget". We felt that BP's method of managing money was opaque, sloppy and unhelpful for us as clients. When we requested original receipts, we were denied. All we were ever given were invoices from BP itemized on their own letterhead. Once, they accidentally undercharged us for their own services and we insisted we pay the extra $2,000 THEY miscalculated! We felt that BP did an extremely poor job navigating the proposed timing of our reception. After weeks of emails, BP was incapable of coordinating the timing our Rabbi needed to officiate at our wedding. Rather than engaging, BP actually suggested we switch venues! As we neared our date, we felt that BP was no longer focused on our event planning. Just a few months before our wedding, I was the one contacting multiple vendors about availability in addition to our venues and caterer about timing. The stress and frustration was unimaginable. The site visit to our wedding destination was unproductive and felt like a total waste of time and money because BP did not integrate our preferences into their proposals. 3 months before the date, BP sent us an ultimatum email stating they were sending us a bill for their team's non-negotiable flights and accommodations for our wedding weekend and that in order for them to continue planning our wedding, we, their clients, had to agree to be on a need-to-know basis and said that our questions and suggestions were unreasonable and offered us a $3,963 pay-out for BP to end their contract with us. BP directed us to their lawyer and abandoned my husband and I to pick up the pieces of planning our own wedding ourselves with a pathetic refund on our $41,000 in wedding planning fees. They also immediately locked us out of the online planning materials we paid for including our own guest list and budget. As we searched for a new planner, BP was uncooperative in helping us make the transition. We discovered that one of our contracts with a vendor was under BP's name (which was very hard to transfer to us) and that BP gave our florist a budget of double what my husband and I agreed to. I felt like nothing was going according to BP's own shared timeline and our vendors had been kept waiting in the dark despite their attempts to contact BP. We had to design, plan and create our own wedding weekend in 3 months all after paying BP $41,000. My husband and I are busy professionals who expected Bash Please to do the job they advertised in their custom full service proposal but instead we were disappointed and shocked with the quality of their services and the way they treated us as clients. Even at the very end of the relationship when Bash Please had the option to either act professionally or punitively we felt it opted to take the low road. BP's lawyer offered us a pittance to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which we decided to turn down. I wouldn't recommend expensive wedding planners who may be sloppy and opaque with managing your money, disinterested with coordinating your event, cut you out of the process of planning your own wedding, and then dump you 3 months before your big day. read more

BASH PLEASE will forever hold an extremely special place in my heart - and my family's. I challenge anyone to find a girl who has looked through more wedding magazines than I have before the age of 30. I was/am a hopeless romantic, love weddings, and spent a lot of time dreaming about my future special someone and future special day. Needless to say, I had expectations and for better or worse, they were sky high. When my dad, who has always been my absolute best friend, was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor, I called BASH PLEASE in a panic - I had just gotten engaged to my special someone and needed to walk down the aisle QUICK if my dad was going to witness our union. Even though they already had a full wedding schedule for the year, they assured me they had "last minute" planning down to a science, and took on our wedding. To complicate matters further, we had to get married in my parent's backyard in Minnesota - a state they'd never worked in before - so that my dad could just walk out the door to the wedding. What started out as 50 people in my parent's backyard for a small ceremony and dinner quickly doubled in size, and Bash found themselves planning a full backyard wedding/reception. Not only did they pull it off without a hitch, but it was MAGICAL. We had a unique, literary themed wedding with a warm, majestic tent, overflowing florals, antique furniture, and loads of personal touches that made the night perfect. This was an incredibly emotional time for me and my family. Not having to worry about a THING for the wedding was a massive relief and comfort during a very hard time. Even though they put our wedding together in under 3 months (in a state they'd never operated in before!) I never once felt like we were compromising on quality, design, vendors, etc. My family and I always say that no matter how long we'd had to plan - we wouldn't change a thing. It was flawless. My husband and I had the most beautiful and memorably day with both our families - and my dad had one of his best weekends. He said he'd never seen a more breathtaking wedding. He passed away 2 months after our wedding. I don't think even Bash Please realizes how important and special that wedding was to our family. We owe so much to BASH PLEASE. Of course, we had such phenomenal experience with BP in Minnesota that we took them with us to Hawaii the following year to have a big reception with all our friends that we couldn't invite to Minnesota. We celebrated our marriage with a huge weekend of festivities! We had a private snorkel cruise overflowing with snacks, drinks, floaties, and drumroll please... our very own mermaid. The next day we had a huge party at my dad's favorite place on earth - the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. We celebrated right off the beach with a fabulous band, great food, photo booths, stunning table set ups, and these fabulous modern/tropical lounges. BASH PLEASE has an unparalleled attention to detail that makes their events really stand out. All of bridesmaids and guests have told me they've never seen anything like it. And we are a particular bunch. :-) I highly recommend Bash Please for any/all events, and I plan on using them much more for all my family and friends' future milestones! THANK YOU BP! THE GURAS/FICKMANS LOVE YOU! read more

Our wedding was the best day of our lives and we will forever be grateful for the job that Bash/Please did in turning our dreams into a reality. Paige, Kelly and the team at Bash/Please were professional, courteous, and timely and were also very cognizant of the budgets which we had set. I trusted them completely with every last detail (and this is coming from a complete perfectionist) and our friends and family haven't stopped raving that it was "the best wedding they had ever attended." Not only was the planning process wonderful and stress-free, but their presence at our wedding made me feel a tremendous amount of comfort knowing there wasn't anything they couldn't handle. They blended in seamlessly with our guests and made sure that everything happened according to plan. Our wedding day was perfect and Bash/Please was instrumental in bringing it all to life. Over and over, people just kept saying "best wedding ever". Many people specifically used the word "detail". "Every detail was paid attention to". "I just loved every detail." The Bash Please ladies take care of everything. It's so great that in addition to planning, they can design and do florals as well, bc btw, they ROCK at that stuff. They recommended a great group of vendors (or party enablers, as I like to call them), and again, we kept hearing "best wedding food ever"; "best dj ever", etc Their care for the environment was a great bonus for me - there is nothing pushy or hippie-dippy about being green for them, it's just an important thing to keep in mind at every phase and to be concerned about when possible. On top of all that, they are LOVELY, communicative people. The only thing I was sad about after our wedding day was that we wouldn't be seeing them anymore. We'll have to come up with another excuse to throw another big bash soon! read more

Hiring Bash, Please was one of the best decisions we made for our Los Angeles wedding. My now-husband and I got married in September and we were living in New York at the time. I never thought I would have a full-service wedding planner, but planning the wedding from across the country while we both work full time as lawyers didn't seem feasible. When I started looking for wedding planners, I looked at a lot of websites, but it was Bash, Please's portfolio that resonated most with my husband and me. They didn't all have the style I was going for, but they all had the "feel" I was going for. When I read their manifesto online, I was hooked. No Marriott ballrooms for this couple! We wanted something that felt more like a big dinner party that was soft and romantic with a few quirks, and that's exactly what we got. Working with Bash, Please was incredible. We had a bit of a hiccup at one point when our planner switched jobs, but ultimately we ended up working with Emily and Siena, and they were fantastic. I did not want to have to do anything but focus on getting married on my wedding day, and they made that happen in the most beautiful and efficient manner. As for our wedding, people are still talking about it. It is cliche to say it was the happiest day of my life, but it really was. I would not have changed a single thing about our wedding (except that it was during a crazy heat wave, thank goodness it was an evening wedding!). Each detail was perfect, the style cohesive, and it had exactly the feel that I wanted. It was so freaking fun! My sister is now engaged, and told me she essentially wants to do my wedding all over again as her wedding, that's how awesome it was. Another friend went to a wedding two weeks after ours that cost nearly $200k, and said ours (at a WAY smaller budget) was much better. Bash, please worked really well with my budget, though I did keep tabs on things to make sure we didn't go too far over budget. I had a "small" wedding with 100 people, and Emily and Siena did a fantastic job working within the budget that we felt comfortable with. I wholeheartedly recommend Bash, Please to plan any event. read more

Bash, Please made sure our wedding day was not only gorgeous but also personal and intimate. Finding the perfect fit for our venue, caterer and bartender would not have been as easy or fun with out them. Their curated list of vendors totally delivered so we didn't have to worry about a thing on our big day. These ladies have a keen eye for style and every detail was executed wonderfully. They took our seeds of ideas and ran with them, giving us exactly what we wanted and then some. Not only are his style and taste flawless, he is insanely organized. His excel spreadsheets kept everything in order and he is very communicative. Mollie Jones is based in NorCal and she also helped with the event, she knows all the right vendors to call. Working with the women of Bash Please was a dream come true. They listened to all of our requests and complaints, and gave us their honest feedback, which I REALLY appreciated since they are the experts! They planned our rehearsal dinner, bridal tea, wedding, and brunch and everything was simply perfection and stunning. Every single detail was handled with professionalism and perfection. Over a month later, friends and family are still talking about the weekend! Many have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and I give all of the credit to Sunna and Mollie! "The most beautiful and fun wedding ever" was a comment we heard over and over from about 300 guests who attended our daughter's wedding. Paige, Kelly and Emily created a breathtaking and perfect event! The ladies are professional, creative, extremely hard working and committed, but above all warm, kind and great listeners. Every vendor they selected could not have been better. The caterer cooked up a meal that all guests raved about. The band rocked and everybody could not get enough dancing in; I can't tell you how many inquiries I had about this band. We had in addition a gospel choir that took everyone's breath away at the ceremony. The flowers and table settings were unique and delightfully fresh, simple but oh so very elegant!!!
