Highly recommend having a day-of coordinator, and hiring Stef's team to do it. We had a commitment ceremony of around 70 people, two separate locations, and a whole lot of DIY decor stuff. Even with the small guest list and what I thought was a pretty chill low-maintenance event, there were still moments during the day (and leading up to the day) where issues arose, and SE quickly and cleverly addressed and came up with solutions. Just some specific highlights of what SE helped us to work though: - Ran into a big issue with the ceremony venue where it had to partially go under construction. We ended up at the same venue with better space layout, and more flexible venue schedule. - Had a lot of DIY decor, and everything was set up perfectly and logically. SE helped us with breakdown as well and what a relief was it to see everything worked out so awesomely. - Bit of an emergency with our cake delivery and pick-up where the vendor got the order wrong and wasn't ready for pick-up. SE was in contact the whole time with our Task Rabbit, the venue, and the vendor. Didn't even know there was a problem until afterwards. It's also a people business! And all points of the process, we felt like we were being taken care of and being heard, and that even though I know Stef probably had a lot of weddings this season, it always felt like we were priority. If you're reading this review, you're probably in the market for a wedding planner/coordinator and have so many questions. If you're still reading this, you'll realize that I'm a guy who planned 99.99% of his own wedding. A rarity! I reached out to Stef on a whim early back in 2019 (pre COVID-19) for my October 2020 wedding in Napa because she seemed like the type of person that would get you the results you wanted for your wedding. Let me tell you now, Stef (and her biceps) will deliver. Stef has the most boundless and infectious energy, charisma, and positive attitude I've never seen before in a person. Before contacting Stef, I managed to secure all the vendors (photographer, photo booth, DJ, florist, ect) except for the coordinator (because the venue required one). After signing the contract with Stef, she got right to work by asking for all pertinent information about the vendors I chose, and as well as asking for the contracts that I signed with the vendors so she could go through them with a fine tooth comb so she can find any "gotcha fees" or other items that would impact you negatively for your big day. Couple days after that she corralled and emailed all my vendors to coordinate any phone calls, meetings, or to go over the fine details of certain aspects depending on your needs for said vendor. However some work is still dependent on you planning your wedding (such as mailing save the dates/invitations, etc) and Stef will be like white on rice to make sure you finished the task on hand. (Trust me I know; she called and texted me multiples times in one day to see if I had signed a contract addendum.) You need someone like Stef that'll never give up, give in, or ghost you. Now to the unfortunate part of my wedding. Due to COVID-19, my wedding was postponed to November 2021 and even before the postponement, Stef was on her game by relegating the vendors about if they were still able or willing to work during this crisis and also kept in constant contact with me to come up with a game plan should things get worse. She seamlessly contacted the vendors about the new wedding date in mid July 2020 but due to mounting pressure from my family and my fiance's family about safety surrounding COVID-19, we decided to cancel the wedding all together. Obviously canceling a wedding (despite it being a pandemic) you essentially forfeit your deposits with all your vendors but I feel like all the time and effort Stef put into planning and coordinating my wedding before it was canceled was worth every penny. Not only is Stef one of the most supremely delightful human beings I've ever met, she is extremely on top of things, especially when it comes to the most important day - the wedding day! (More on that later) My (now) husband and I met with a few other wedding planners prior to our initial call with Stef and we hit it off immediately. We knew we were going to spend a lot of time with our planner and wanted someone we would get along easily with - Stef is endlessly upbeat, positive, goofy and hilarious to boot. Due to COVID, we ended up having to postpone our wedding by 2 years and Stef was so helpful and understanding the entire time. She helped us coordinate the new dates with vendors and even though some of these conversations can be difficult, I was blown away by her communication style and how kind and thoughtful her emails were. She has that remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and valued and that was apparent when many of the vendors came to me throughout the process and told me just how lucky we were to be working with Stef and how she's one of the best planners they've ever encountered. My fiancé and I decided to onboard a wedding planner 1 month before our wedding (I know .... it is super late). We thought we could do most things on our own but it turned out to be pretty overwhelming. I found Stef on Yelp. After two phone calls, we started to work together. Since then, she always responded to our emails and text messages within few hours (sometimes few minutes). Since my fiancé and I are very new to this wedding planning process (I moved from Taiwan 10 years ago and only been to three to four weddings in U.S.A), we knew little about the whole planning details. The changing room for the bride was a bit far from the ceremony site. Thanks God that they had walkie talkies with them to make coordination much easier. Hands down, if I were planning my wedding all over, I would absolutely have Stellify Events handle our day-of coordination again. Stef checked in with us a number of times months before the wedding to make sure we were on track as far as sending our invitations out, registering, getting our vendors secured, etc. - basically gave us invaluable guidance and advise as we worked through the major milestones of securing vendors and necessities. She even got us in touch with the videographer we picked! I really wanted to be involved in a bunch of the small details of the wedding, but was horrible at managing my time; I got pretty stressed out and was worried about how everything would come together. So about a month before the big day, Stef stepped in and started talking to me about her and her team's role for the wedding day. I was able to hand over all of the details to her, and she executed them to the T. She built the day-of timeline for myself, my groom, the wedding party, and all of our vendors. This even included keeping a surprise (Stormtroopers!) for the groom secret from everyone at the wedding, while getting the necessary vendors (the venue, videographer, photographers, rental company) in on it to make sure there was space for it to be prepared and so it could be captured on film and video! She definitely was able to put me at ease and know that what we wanted would be put in place. She made phone meetings with us leading up to where we started handing off duties to her, about 4 weeks before the wedding. She created a master timeline for us and communicated with our vendors (hair/makeup, photographers, videographer, venue, caterer/rentals, florist, DJ/lighting, photobooth, officiant, and the surprise Stormtroopers) to ensure everything ran smoothly and stayed on time. She had a lot of helpful tricks, tips, and suggestions along the way that kept the entire process leading up to our wedding day, and the wedding and reception itself go smoothly - and most of all, we enjoyed ourselves! Her team made sure we always had water (for early October it was an unseasonably mid-80s day), and brought us food and water while we were chatting with our friends and family during the cocktail hour, since we were so busy taking photos in between hugs and congrats. Her team even had mints on them at the ready! Overall, what Stef and her Stellify team gave us was priceless: advice during our planning phase, peace of mind leading up to the wedding and an amazing wedding day that came together spectacularly. Our Wedding date was on March 4th, 2017. I'm the type of bride that doesn't plan or ever find it exciting or thrilling like most brides when planning a wedding. I was in dire need of a wedding coordinator. I needed a wedding coordinator that was definitely inexpensive and a person that my now-husband and I can trust on the day of our wedding. We stumbled across Stellify Events from our Venue coordinator at the San Mateo Marriott, Kristine E. Hiring Stellify Events did not only made our wedding day so special and memorable, but it made my husband and I completely stress-free and had Stef and her team handle everything from start to finish. From the first phone interview with Stef, we already knew we wanted to work with her. The first impression I had for Stef was that she's probably the first person that I have ever met that was so enthusiastic and the sweetest human being ever with such a positive energy that made me instantly trust her and her team. She stayed consistent with phone calls and emails about our wedding plans. With a bride that had no idea what she was doing, Stef was my right hand that kept my priorities in line. She organized our vendors and made herself the point of contact including myself and my husband in the loop. Anything that went wrong or a situation that came up, Stef would handle the problem with our valued opinions. She's also a baby whisperer :) She took care of my crying niece while my brother who was a groomsmen had to take group pictures with my husband. We were able to dance the night away while Stellify Events were in the background making sure everyone was having a good time. Stef gave incredible tips and advice during our wedding planning, information that I've never would of come across such as providing food for the entire bridal party to prevent the bridal party from fainting and preparing for the day. She ensured that we stayed hydrated. She ensured that I was never alone, even waiting in the limo while the entire bridal party had to line up. They assured that I looked incredible and beautiful by helping me with my wedding dress, veil, and last minute touch ups! I didn't have anything on me and Stef popped out a nude lipstick out of nowhere to insure my make-up was flawless. She always had the essentials for a wedding! She was prepared and qualified for this position and I couldn't imagine my wedding day without her and her team. Stef and her team kept my nerves down and I can't explain enough how my wedding day was completely, utterly, and unconditionally the happiest time of my life. Had the pleasure of working with Stefanie and her team in October, and it was a true pleasure.
